1OsbZIP60-mediated unfolded protein response regulates grain chalkiness in rice显示文摘Grain chalkiness,an undesirable trait caused by complex factors,has great negative impacts on the quality and economic value of rice.However,little is known about the regulatory mechanism of grain chalkiness,particularly the effect of endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress.Here,a genome-wide association study(GWAS)reveals that the transcription factor Osb ZIP60 is a vital regulator of rice grain chalkiness.Genetic analysis demonstrates that knockout of Osb ZIP60 results in extremely high grain chalkiness and aberrant structure of storage substances.Notably,the expression of unfolded protein response(UPR)genes,such as OsbZIP50,Os Bi P1,Os Bi P2 and Os Bi P3,is up-regulated in the endosperm cells of osbzip60,and overexpression of all these UPR genes causes various degrees of chalkiness.Furthermore,Osb ZIP60 is found to activate the expression of key genes related to grain chalkiness,such as GPA3,FSE1,FLO7,Chalk5,Os NF-YB1,and Os PK2,whose expression is significantly suppressed in osbzip60 and overexpression lines of Osb ZIP50,Os Bi P1,Os Bi P2,and Os Bi P3.Our study provides novel insights into the function of Osb ZIP60 and the role of the UPR pathway in the formation of grain chalkiness in rice.Weiping Yang Pengkun Xu Juncheng Zhang Shuo Zhang Zhenwei Li Ke Yang Xinyuan Chang Yibo Li 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,5:4
2A precise theoretical method for high-throughput screening of novel organic electrode materials for Li-ion batteries显示文摘Organic electrode materials have gained significant attention due to their flexibility,lightweight characteristics,abundant resources in nature,and low CO_(2) emission.It's urgently needed for setting up an accurate high-throughput screening theoretical scheme that could find out possible candidates of electrode materials.Currently,the error between the theoretical potentials calculated by the PBE-D2(DFT-D2,dispersion-corrected density functional theory)method and the experimental values is larger than 12%.Thus,it's essential to finding a more accurate method.In the present work,hybrid functionals and vdW correction methods are applied to investigate six reported organic electrode materials for Li-ion batteries.The results show that the hybrid functional combined with the D2 dispersion corrected method,i.e.,HSE06-D2(Heyd,Scuseria,and Ernzerhof,dispersion-corrected),is able to predict the potential of the organic material precisely with an average error of approximately 5%.This method occupies much hardware resources and being very time consuming,but it could be applied as the final ultrafine step in the high-throughput screening program.Wanwan Zhang Pengkun Sun Shaorui Sun 2017Journal of Materiomics2017,3,3:2
3Unconventional dual-vacancies in nickel diselenide-graphene nanocomposite for high-efficiency oxygen evolution catalysis显示文摘Although nickel-based catalysts display good catalytic capability and excellent corrosion resistance under alkaline electrolytes for water splitting,it is still imperative to enhance their activity for real device applications.Herein,we decorated Ni0.85Se hollow nanospheres onto reduced graphene oxide(RGO)through a hydrothermal route,then annealed this composite at different temperatures(400℃,NiSe2-400 and 450℃,NiSe2-450)under argon atmosphere,yielding a kind of NiSe2/RGO composite catalysts.Positron annihilation spectra revealed two types of vacancies formed in this composite catalyst.We found that the NiSe2-400 catalyst with dual Ni-Se vacancies is able to catalyze the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)efficiently,needing a mere 241 mV overpotential at 10 mA·cm−2.In addition,this catalyst exhibits outstanding stability.Computational studies show favorable energy barrier on NiSe2-400,enabling moderate OH−adsorption and O2 desorption,which leads to the enhanced energetics for OER.Pengkun Wei Zewei Hao Yang Yang Mingyang Liu Haijun Zhang Min-Rui Gao Shu-Hong Yu 2020Nano Research2020,13,12:2

7Effect of Reduction Atmosphere on Properties of High Chrome Bricks显示文摘The high chrome bricks specimens were prepared by firing at 1 350,1 450 and 1 550 ℃ in carbon embedded condition and at 1 700 ℃ in air,respectively. Effects of firing atmospheres (carbon embedded and air) on bulk density,apparent porosity,cold crushing strength,and slag penetration resistance of high chrome bricks were researched in order to improve physical properties and corrosion resistance of high chrome bricks and to prolong the service life in slagging coal gasifier. The results show that with temperature rising,the apparent porosity of specimens decreases and the bulk density increases; the cold crushing strength of the specimens carbon embedded fired at 1 450 ℃ is the highest,reaching 214 MPa; carbon embedded condition is beneficial to reducing the sintering temperature and improving the microstructure; the specimens carbon embedded fired at 1 450 ℃ perform better slag penetration resistance than the specimens fired at 1 700 ℃ in air.YIN Hongji WANG Jinxiang SHI Pengkun 2010China's Refractories2010,19,3:1

12Assessing the Influence of Aerosol on Radiation and Its Roles in Planetary Boundary Layer Development显示文摘A comprehensive measurement of planetary boundary layer(PBL)meteorology was conducted at 140 and 280 m on a meteorological tower in Beijing,China,to quantify the effect of aerosols on radiation and its role in PBL development.The measured variables included four-component radiation,temperature,sensible heat flux(SH),and turbulent kinetic energy(TKE)at 140 and 280 m,as well as PBL height(PBLH).In this work,a method was developed to quantitatively estimate the effect of aerosols on radiation based on the PBLH and radiation at the two heights(140 and 280 m).The results confirmed that the weakened downward shortwave radiation(DSR)on hazy days could be attributed predominantly to increased aerosols,while for longwave radiation,aerosols only accounted for around onethird of the enhanced downward longwave radiation.The DSR decreased by 55.2 W m^(-2) on hazy days during noontime(1100–1400 local time).The weakened solar radiation decreased SH and TKE by enhancing atmospheric stability,and hence suppressed PBL development.Compared with clean days,the decreasing rates of DSR,SH,TKE,and PBLH were 11.4%,33.6%,73.8%,and 53.4%,respectively.These observations collectively suggest that aerosol radiative forcing on the PBL is exaggerated by a complex chain of interactions among thermodynamic,dynamic,and radiative processes.These findings shed new light on our understanding of the complex relationship between aerosol and the PBL.Zhigang CHENG Yubing PAN Ju LI Xingcan JIA Xinyu ZHANG Pengkun MA Qianqian WANG Junxia DOU Jingjiang ZHANG Jiannong QUAN 2021Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,2:0
13T-IP: A Self-Trustworthy and Secure Internet Protocol显示文摘IPsec has become an important supplement of IP to provide security protection. However, the heavyweight IPsec has a high transmission overhead and latency, and it cannot provide the address accountability. We propose the self-trustworthy and secure Internet protocol(T-IP) for authenticated and encrypted network layer communications. T-IP has the following advantages:(1) Self-Trustworthy IP address.(2) Low connection latency and transmission overhead.(3) Reserving the important merit of IP to be stateless.(4) Compatible with the existing TCP/IP architecture. We theoretically prove the security of our shared secret key in T-IP and the resistance to the known session key attack of our security-enhanced shared secret key calculation. Moreover, we analyse the possibility of the application of T-IP, including its resilience against the man-in-the-middle attack and Do S attack. 15Finite Element Analysis of Large Size Chromium Oxide Green Bodies During Firing显示文摘To prevent dense chromium oxide covers from cracking during firing,such as internal cracking,surface cracking and fracture,the firing process of dense chromium oxide products was simulated,and the performance parameters at several specific temperatures before and after densification of chromium oxide green bodies were tested.The temperature difference and the stress difference of chromium oxide green bodies were calculated by Finite Element Software at heating and cooling rates of 10,20,30 and 40℃·h^(-1),respectively.The results show that large temperature difference and thermal stress difference are the main causes of internal cracking,surface cracking and fracture of the brick.Suitable heating rates reduce or avoid internal cracking of the brick.When the heating rate is 30℃·h^(-1) below 1450℃and 10℃·h^(-1) above 1450℃,the temperature difference and the thermal stress difference in the brick are below 4℃and 4 MPa,respectively,and there is no internal crack in the brick after firing.The initial cooling stage is the key stage that causes cracking or fracture of bricks.When the cooling rate is 20℃·h^(-1) above 1450℃,the thermal stress difference in the brick is less than 4 MPa,which can significantly reduce the surface cracks and fracture of the brick.ZHANG Yongzhi WANG Han ZHANG Tao FAN Muxu SHI Pengkun FENG Zhiyuan LIANG Zhen 2023China's Refractories2023,32,2:0
16Ultrasound responsive microcapsules for antibacterial nanodrug delivery显示文摘The development of ultrasound-responsive microcapsule structures has resulted in several spatiotemporally controlled drug delivery systems for macromolecular cargoes,including proteins,nucleic acids,and even cells for biomedical applications.However,utilizing microcapsules to transport small molecular cargoes remains a challenge,because the leakage of drugs before ultrasound irradiation might cause side effects such as the undesired toxicity and the decrease of effective drug concentration at the target site.Herein,we present a novel strategy to tackle these shortcomings by employing nanodrugs which refers to nanoparticles coated with small molecule drugs.We showed that the drug leakage was prevented when encapsulating the nanodrug in microcapsules.Moreover,the fabricated drug delivery system was responsive not only to unfocused high-intensity ultrasound but also to the clinically relevant high-intensity focused ultrasound.Finally,as a proof of concept,we showed that the antibacterial activity of the nanodrug@Microcapsules could be activated by applying ultrasound in situ.These results may provide new insights into the development of ultrasound triggered small molecule drug delivery assisted by metallic nanoparticles.Jilin Fan Mingjun Xuan Pengkun Zhao Mark Loznik Junlin Chen Fabian Kiessling Lifei Zheng Andreas Herrmann 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
17Risk field assessment of longwall working face by the double-sided roof cutting along the gob显示文摘In order to study the mechanism of the dual side roof cutting technology on the composite disaster of gas and coal spontaneous combustion in goaf,a model for the evolution of porosity and permeability in the dual side roof cutting working face was constructed.The location of the occurrence of the compound disaster of gas explosion and coal spontaneous combustion under the double-sided roof cutting mode was studied,and the sensitivity of the evolution pattern of the compound disaster area to the amount of air supply and gas gush was summarized.The results indicate that the top cutting pressure relief technology significantly reduces the permeability of porous media,and the sensitivity of the goaf on the intake side to airflow disturbances is significantly reduced.As the volume of air supply increases,the distance between the gas explosion risk area and the coal spontaneous combustion risk area gradually decreases,and the probability of composite disaster areas is 0.The increase of air supply and gas emission makes the gas concentration in the middle and deep goaf increase in an exponential function,and the width of the gas explosion risk area increases gradually.When the outflow reaches 40 m^(3)/min,there is no composite disaster zone,indicating that the rapid increase in outflow inhibits the occurrence of composite disasters.Dongyin Li Pengkun Chen Jinzhao Liu Shen Wang Huawei Xu 2023Geohazard Mechanics2023,1,4:0
18Health Status and Food Intake Frequency of Elderly Residents During COVID-19 Community Closure—Jiangxia District,Wuhan City,China,2020显示文摘What is already known about this topic?Elderly persons are vulnerable to infectious diseases,and nutritional status and health conditions were important to evaluate for disease prevention and ability to recover for the elderly during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic.What is added by this report?In our study,a rapid assessment questionnaire was used to investigate the change of household life and dietary intake of the elderly(aged 60 years or more)during community closure.Food consumption frequency of aquatic food products,soybeans,and fresh fruits declined dramatically with reductions of 70.9%,70.9%,and 53.0%,respectively,and 49.6%of the elderly lived with chronic non-communicable diseases but had little knowledge of nutrition and health.What are the implications for public health practice?Community closure measures in Wuhan City have played a key role in cutting off the transmission route of COVID-19 and protecting vulnerable groups.As a high-risk population,the elderly should be advised to maintain and strengthen a balanced diet with proper nutrition through increasing intake of aquatic food products,soybeans,fruits,and vegetables,reducing total caloric intake,and decreasing oil and salt consumption.These measures will be significant for the elderly to reduce the risk of chronic disease complications and COVID-19 infection and to decrease the chance of critical illness.Pengkun Song Cheng Li Ganyu Feng Jian Zhang Li Li Titi Yang Mingna Dong Ailing Liu Qi Zhang Yujing Liu Jinglei Wang Tanxi Ge Qing Yu Gangqiang Ding 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,27:0
