1Follow-up after gastrectomy for cancer:results of an international web round table显示文摘Oncological follow-up after radical gastrectomy for cancer still represents a discrepancy in the field,with many retrospective series demonstrating that early diagnosis of recurrence does not result in an improvement in patient survival;yet,many centers with high quality of care still provide routine patient follow-up after surgery by clinical and instrumental controls.This was the topic for a web round table entitled'Rationale and limits of oncological follow-up after gastrectomy for cancer'that was launched one year before the 10th International Gastric Cancer Congress.Authors having specific expertise were invited to comment on their previous publications to provide the subject for an open debate.During a three-month-long discussion,32 authors from 12 countries participated,and 2299people visited the dedicated web page.Substantial differences emerged between the participants:authors from Japan,South Korea,Italy,Brazil,Germany and France currently engage in instrumental follow-up,whereas authors from Eastern Europe,Peru and India do not,and British and American surgeons practice it in a rather limited manner or in the context of experimental studies.Although endoscopy is still considered useful by most authors,all the authors recognized that computed tomography scanning is the method of choice to detect recurrence;however,many limit follow-up to clinical and biochemical examinations,and acknowledge the lack of improved survival with early detection.Gian Luca Baiocchi Yasuhiro Kodera Daniele Marrelli Fabio Pacelli Paolo Morgagni Franco Roviello Giovanni De Manzoni 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,34:4
2高级氧化技术在污泥减量化中的应用显示文摘污泥减量化是污泥处置过程中的首要问题。目前,传统污泥处理工艺仍面临污泥产量高、含固率低等问题,不能实现环境效益与经济效益相协调。高级氧化技术既可减少污泥干基产量,又可提高污泥脱水性能,在污泥处理领域备受关注。在简述Fenton试剂氧化、臭氧氧化、湿式空气氧化及超临界水氧化机理的基础上,重点论述了几种高级氧化技术对污泥干基产量及脱水性能的影响,并介绍了各种氧化法的运行条件或运行工况。最后探讨了各种高级氧化技术的优缺点,并指出今后污泥高级氧化的主要研究方向。分析表明,几种高级氧化技术不但可有效降低污泥中有机化合物含量或污泥悬浮固体浓度,减少污泥干基产量,而且可有效提高污泥的沉降性能及脱水性能,降低脱水污泥含水率。郑尚基 王枫 巢昆 Pacelli Zitha 2018环境工程2018,36,9:3
3Carotid lesions in outpatients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease显示文摘AIM:To ascertain whether carotid lesions are more prevalent in outpatients with incidental findings of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) at abdominal ultrasound (US).METHODS: One hundred and fifty-four consecutive outpatients (age range 24-90 years, both sexes) referred by general practitioners for abdominal US, and drinking less than 20 g alcohol/day, underwent carotid US for an assessment of carotid intima-media thickness (c-IMT) and carotid plaque prevalence. Hepatic steatosis, visceral fat thickness and subcutaneous fat thickness were also assessed at ultrasonography.RESULTS: Higher c-IMT values were found in the presence of NAFLD (90 patients), even after adjustment for indices of general and abdominal obesity and for the principal cardiovascular risk factors (0.84±0.10 mm vs 0.71±0.10 mm, P<0.001). The prevalence of carotid plaques was 57.8% in the patients with NAFLD vs 37.5% in the patients without this condition (P=0.02).
