| 2 | Effect of oxymatrine on the replication cycle of hepatitis B virus in vitro显示文摘AIM:To determine the antiviral mechanism or target of oxymatrine against hepatitis B virus(HBV).METHODS:HepG2.2.15 cells were incubated with culture medium containing 500 μg/mL of oxymatrine for 2 and 5 d.The surface antigen of HBV(HBsAg) and e antigen of HBV(HBeAg) in supernatant were determined by ELISA.HBV DNA in supernatant,and intracellular covalently closed circular DNA(cccDNA),relaxed circular DNA(rcDNA) and pregenomic RNA(pgRNA) were quantif ied by specif ic real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) or reverse transcription(RT)-PCR.RESULTS:Treatment with oxymatrine for 2 d and 5 d reduced the production of HBV by the cell line,as indicated by the decline of HBsAg(22.67%,t = 5.439,P = 0.0322 and 22.39%,t = 5.376,P = 0.0329,respectively),HBeAg(55.34%,t = 9.859,P = 0.0101 and 43.97%,t = 14.080,P = 0.0050) and HBV DNA(40.75%,t = 4.570,P = 0.0447 and 75.32%,t = 14.460,P = 0.0047) in the supernatant.Intracellular cccDNA was also markedly reduced by 63.98%(t = 6.152,P = 0.0254) and 80.83%(t = 10.270,P = 0.0093),and intracellular rcDNA by 34.35%(t = 4.776,P = 0.0413) and 39.24%(t = 10.050,P = 0.0097).In contrast,intracellular pgRNA increased by 6.90-fold(t = 8.941,P = 0.0123) and 3.18-fold(t = 7.432,P = 0.0176) after 500 μg/mL of oxymatrine treatment for 2 d and 5 d,respectively.CONCLUSION:Oxymatrine may inhibit the replication of HBV by interfering with the process of packaging pgRNA into the nucleocapsid,or inhibiting the activity of the viral DNA polymerase. | Xu, Wen-Sheng Zhao, Ke-Kai Miao, Xiao-Hui Ni, Wu Cai, Xiong Zhang, Rui-Qi Wang, Jun-Xue | 2010 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,16: | 27 |

| 6 | Changes of the proportion and mortality of pulmonary thromboembolism in hospitalized patients from 1974 to 2005显示文摘Background Pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) has become a common disease that severely endangers people’s health. This study analysed the changes in proportion and mortality of PTE in hospitalized patients to provide data for prevention and management of the disease. Methods The data of 763 hospitalized patients with PTE from 1974 to 2005 in Fuwai Hospital were analysed. Results During the 1970s, 0.27% of patients in a cardiovascular hospital had PTE (< 5 cases per year); while so far this century the proportion is 0.94% (48 to 113 per year). The mortality of hospitalized PTE patients fell from 20.00% in the 1970s to 4.10% this century. Prior to 1990, the mortality of hospitalized PTE patients was 12.50%, and in the years after 1990 only 3.40%. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.005). People with this disease were mostly between the ages of 30 and 69 years. Men were most susceptible between the ages of 30 and 69 years, while women between the ages of 40 and 69 years. Men contracted PTE 10 years earlier than women. The mortality of male PTE patients was 4.70%, not significantly different from female patients, 5.06% (0.50 0.1). More people contracted the disease in winter than in other seasons (P<0.05). | 8 | Dual-comb spectroscopy resolved three-degreeof-freedom sensing显示文摘Precise and fast determination of position and orientation, which is normally achieved by distance and angle measurements, has broad applications in academia and industry. We propose a dynamic three-degree-of-freedom measurement technique based on dual-comb interferometry and a self-designed grating-corner-cube(GCC) combined sensor. Benefiting from its unique combination of diffraction and reflection characteristics, the absolute distance, pitch, and yaw of the GCC sensor can be determined simultaneously by resolving the phase spectra of the corresponding diffracted beams. We experimentally demonstrate that the method exhibits a ranging precision(Allan deviation) of 13.7 nm and an angular precision of 0.088 arcsec, alongside a 1 ms reaction time. The proposed technique is capable of precise and fast measurement of distances and two-dimensional angles over long stand-off distances. | 9 | Combined effects of cadmium and fluoranthene on germination, growth and photosynthesis of soybean seedlings显示文摘The single and combinational effects of cadmium (Cd) and fluoranthene (FLT) on germination, growth and photosynthesis of soybean seedlings were investigated. Exposure to 5, 10, or 15 mg Cd/L or 1, 5, or 10 mg FLT/L individually or in combination significantly decreased germination vigor (3 days) and final germination rate of soybean seeds, except at 1 and 5 mg FLT/L. The results of two-way ANOVA analysis and the Bliss independence model showed that at lower concentrations of FLT (1 mg/L), the interaction between Cd and FLT on germination was antagonistic, whereas the interaction was synergistic when the concentration of FLT was 5 or 10 mg/L and the concentration of Cd was 15 mg/L. Growth, expressed as dry weight, length of shoot and root, leaf area, and photosynthesis, expressed as net photosynthetic rate, intercellular CO2 concentration, chlorophyll contents and fluorescence of soybean seedlings were also reduced by exposure to 5 or 10 mg Cd/L or 1 or 5 mg FLT/L, singly or jointly. | 12 | Analysis of a Vortex Precipitation Event over Southwest China Using AIRS and In Situ Measurements显示文摘A strong precipitation event caused by the southwest vortex(SWV), which affected Sichuan Province and Chongqing municipality in Southwest China on 10–14 July 2012, is investigated. The SWV is examined using satellite observations from AIRS(Atmospheric Infrared Sounder), in situ measurements from the SWV intensive observation campaign, and MICAPS(Marine Interactive Computer-Aided Provisioning System) data. Analysis of this precipitation process revealed that:(1)heavy rain occurred during the development phase, and cloud water content increased significantly after the dissipation of the SWV;(2) the area with low outgoing longwave radiation values from AIRS correlated well with the SWV;(3) variation of the temperature of brightness blackbody(TBB) from AIRS reflected the evolution of the SWV, and the values of TBB reduced significantly during the SWV's development; and(4) strong temperature and water vapor inversions were noted during the development of the SWV. The moisture profile displayed large vertical variation during the SWV's puissant phase,with the moisture inversion occurring at low levels. The moisture content during the receding phase was significantly reduced compared with that during the developing and puissant phases. The vertical flux of vapor divergence explained the variation of the moisture profile. | 15 | Antibacterial and corrosive properties of copper implanted austenitic stainless steel显示文摘Copper ions were implanted into austenitic stainless steel (SS) by metal vapor vacuum arc with a energy of 100 keV and an ions dose range of (0.5-8.0)×1017 cm-2. The Cu-implanted SS was annealed in an Ar atmosphere furnace. Glancing X-ray diffrac-tion (GXRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) were used to reveal the phase compositions, microstructures, and concentration profiles of copper ions in the implanted layer. The results show that the antibacterial property of Cu-implanted SS is attributed to Cu9.9Fe0.1, which precipitated as needles. The depth of copper in Cu-implanted SS with annealing treatment is greater than that in Cu-implanted SS without annealing treatment, which improves the antibacterial property against S. aureus. | 19 | Reputation-Based Hierarchically Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Scheme in Cognitive Radio Networks显示文摘Cooperative spectrum sensing in cognitive radio is investigated to improve the detection performance of Primary User(PU).Meanwhile,cluster-based hierarchical cooperation is introduced for reducing the overhead as well as maintaining a certain level of sensing performance.However,in existing hierarchically cooperative spectrum sensing algorithms,the robustness problem of the system is seldom considered.In this paper,we propose a reputation-based hierarchically cooperative spectrum sensing scheme in Cognitive Radio Networks(CRNs).Before spectrum sensing,clusters are grouped based on the location correlation coefficients of Secondary Users(SUs).In the proposed scheme,there are two levels of cooperation,the first one is perfonned within a cluster and the second one is carried out among clusters.With the reputation mechanism and modified MAJORITY rule in the second level cooperation,the proposed scheme can not only relieve the influence of the shadowing,but also eliminate the impact of the PU emulation attack on a relatively large scale.Simulation results show that,in the scenarios with deep-shadowing or multiple attacked SUs,our proposed scheme achieves a better tradeoff between the system robustness and the energy saving compared with those conventionally cooperative sensing schemes. | CHEN Huifang XIE Lei NI Xiong | 2014 | China Communications2014,11,1: | 3 |
| 20 | Effectiveness Analysis on the Physical Activity and the Health Benefit of a Community Population Based Program显示文摘Objective To evaluate the community-based health promotion effect of physical activity. Methods The residents aged 18 and above from two communities in Gongshu District of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang province, were randomly selected and recruited for the multi-strategy and comprehensive physical activity intervention. Questionnaire survey, physical check up and blood biochemistry were conducted. Results After this two-year intervention, the time of the participant spent on weekly physical activity of moderate intensity increased from 464 min to 542 min (P<0.05), with an average increase of 78 min. Time spent in walking every week increased from 533 min to 678 min (P<0.05), with an average increase of 145 min. The body weight, waistline, blood pressure and heart rate all reduced significantly (P<0.05); the vital capacity increased significantly (P<0.05); and the related biochemical indicators were also improved.
