| 1 | Xueshuantong improves cerebral blood perfusion in elderly patients with lacunar infarction显示文摘A total of 64 patients with acute lacunar infarction were enrolled within 24 hours of onset. The patients received conventional therapy (antiplatelet drugs and hypolipidemic drugs) alone or conventional therapy plus 450 mg Xueshuantong once a day. The main ingredient of the Xueshuantong lyophilized powder used for injection was Panax notoginseng saponins. Assessments were made at admission and at discharge using the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, the Activity of Daily Living and the Mini-Mental State Examination. Additionally, the relative cerebral blood flow, relative cerebral blood volume and relative mean transit time in the region of interest were calculated within 24 hours after the onset of lacunar infarction, using dynamic susceptibility contrast magnetic resonance perfusion imaging technology. Patients underwent a follow-up MRI scan after 4 weeks of treatment. There was an improvement in the Activity of Daily Living scores and a greater reduction in the scores on the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale in the treatment group than in the control group. However, the Mini-Mental State Examination scores showed no significant differences after 4 weeks of treatment. Compared with the control group, the relative cerebral blood flow at discharge had increased and showed a greater improvement in the treatment group. Furthermore, there was a reduction in the relative mean transit time at discharge and the value was lower in the treatment group than in the control group. | 2 | Region-Specific Iron Measured by MRI as a Biomarker for Parkinson's Disease显示文摘The identification of sensitive and specific biomarkers for Parkinson's disease(PD) poses an important clinical challenge. A potential biomarker for early diagnosis and disease monitoring of PD is region-specific iron. Iron accumulation in the substantia nigra pars compacta is considered a main characteristic of PD.However, questions remain, such as the relationship between nigral iron and clinical indices of PD(motor impairment or disease duration). Further, previous studies have suggested the influence of iron on other nuclei. Iron quantification using magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)allows for studies of the relationship between regional iron and clinical symptoms in vivo. | 5 | Longitudinal Alterations of Local Spontaneous Brain Activity in Parkinson's Disease显示文摘We used resting-state fMRI to evaluate longitudinal alterations in local spontaneous brain activity in Parkinson's disease(PD) over a 2-year period. Data were acquired from 23 PD patients at baseline and follow-up,and 27 age-and sex-matched normal controls. Regional homogeneity(ReHo) and voxel-based-morphometry(VBM) were used to identify differences in local spontaneous brain activity and grey matter volume. With disease progression, we observed a progressive decrease in ReHo in the sensorimotor cortex, default-mode network, and left cerebellum, but increased ReHo in the supplementary motor area, bilateral temporal gyrus, and hippocampus.Moreover, there was a significant positive correlation between the rates of ReHo change in the left cerebellum and the rates of change in the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale-III scores. VBM revealed no significant differences in the grey matter volume among the three sets of acquisitions. | 6 | Ultracompact dual-mode waveguide crossing based on subwavelength multimode-interference couplers显示文摘We propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel ultracompact dual-mode waveguide crossing based on subwavelength multimode-interference couplers for a densely integrated on-chip mode-division multiplexing system.By engineering the lateral-cladding material index and manipulating phase profiles of light at the nanoscale using an improved inverse design method, a subwavelength structure could theoretically realize the identical beat length for both TE_0 and TE1, which can reduce the scale of the device greatly. The fabricated device occupied a footprint of only 4.8 μm× 4.8 μm. The measured insertion losses and crosstalks were less than 0.6 d B and-24 d B from 1530 nm to 1590 nm for both TE0 and TE1 modes, respectively. | 7 | Ataxia,acute mountain sickness,and high altitude cerebral edema显示文摘Previous investigations suggest that ataxia is common and often one of the most reliable warning signs of high altitude cerebral edema(HACE). The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic role of ataxia in acute mountain sickness(AMS)and HACE among mountain rescuers on the quake areas,and in approaching the relation between AMS and HACE. After the earthquake on April 14,2010,approximately 24 080 lowland rescuers were rapidly transported from sea level or lowlands to the mountainous rescue sites at 3 750 ~ 4 568 m,and extremely hardly worked for an emergency treatment after arrival. Assessments of acute altitude illness on the quake areas were using the Lake Louise Scoring System. 73 % of the rescuers were found to be developed AMS. The incidence of high altitude pulmonary edema(HAPE)and HACE was 0.73 % and 0.26 %,respectively,on the second to third day at altitude. Ataxia sign was measured by simple tests of coordination including a modified Romberg test. The clinical features of 62 patients with HACE were analyzed. It was found that the most frequent,serious neurological symptoms and signs were altered mental status(50/62,80.6 %)and truncal ataxia(47/62,75.8 %). Mental status change was rated slightly higher than ataxia,but ataxia occurred earlier than mental status change and other symptoms. The earliest sign of ataxia was a vague unsteadiness of gait,which may be present alone in association with or without AMS. Advanced ataxia was correlated with the AMS scores,but mild ataxia did not correlate with AMS scores at altitudes of 3 750~4 568 m. Of them,14 patients were further examined by computerized tomographic scanning of the brain and cerebral magnetic resonance imagines were examined in another 15 cases. These imaging studies indicated that the presence of the cerebral edema was in 97 % of cases who were clinically diagnosed as HACE(28/29). | 9 | Propeller cavitation viscous simulation and low-frequency noise prediction with non-uniform inflow显示文摘Aiming at predicting ship propeller’s cavitation low-frequency noise spectrum,a hybrid method combining the cavitation multi-phase flow unsteady simulation with the pulsating spherical bubble radiated noise theory was proposed.Then,both of the NSRDC4383 5-bladed propeller and a 7-bladed highly-skewed propeller’s cavitation low-frequency noise spectrum subjected to the full appended SUBOFF submarine’s nominal wake were investigated.The effects of thrust loading and cavity extension on the discrete line spectrum frequency and its spectrum source level were analyzed.The improved Sauer cavitation model and modified shear stress transport turbulence models were adopted to simulate the propeller sheet cavitation along with integrated verification.The cavity volume acceleration related to the characteristic length representing the unsteady sheet cavitation extension,which was more reasonable than the spherical cavity hypothesis,was used to the cavitation low-frequency noise spectrum prediction.Results show that the 7-bladed propeller truly appreciates the advantages of smaller loads,latter cavitation inception and lower cavitating tonal noise comparing to that of the 5 blades.Under the same cavitation index based on ship speed,the interaction of wake inflow and blades will induce significantly low frequency line spectrums and strengthen their source level.Given the submarine wake,cavitation index and rotating speed condition,the thrust,torque and cavity area of blades will decrease with the decreasing load,but the fluctuated acceleration amplitude of cavity volume and the tonal noise spectrum level increases,and the discrete line spectrum components shift mainly to the even times of the BPF harmonics from the odd.If the cavitation extension lightens,the BPF harmonics line spectrums will be depressed,and the spectrum level at 1 kHz reduces 2.54 dB.The numerical method above constructs a numerical system to measure the cavitating hydrodynamics and noise performances of ship propellers,which can be productive for the numerical design of wake adapted low noise submarine propeller. | YANG Qiongfang WANG Yongsheng ZHANG Minming | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Acoustics2013,32,2: | 2 |
| 10 | On-chip cyclic-AWG-based 12 × 12 silicon wavelength routing switches with minimized port-to-port insertion loss fluctuation显示文摘With the rapidly increasing bandwidth requirements of optical communication networks, compact and low-cost large-scale optical switches become necessary. Silicon photonics is a promising technology due to its small footprint, cost competitiveness, and high bandwidth density. In this paper, we demonstrate a 12 × 12 silicon wavelength routing switch employing cascaded arrayed waveguide gratings(AWGs) connected by a silicon waveguide interconnection network on a single chip. We optimize the connecting strategy of the crossing structure to reduce the switch's footprint. We develop an algorithm based on minimum standard deviation to minimize the port-toport insertion loss(IL) fluctuation of the switch globally. The simulated port-to-port IL fluctuation decreases by about 3 dB compared with that of the conventional one. The average measured port-to-port IL is 13.03 dB, with a standard deviation of 0.78 dB and a fluctuation of 2.39 dB. | 12 | Large eddy simulation of turbulent premixed piloted flame using artificial thickened flame model coupled with tabulated chemistry显示文摘A sub-grid scale(SGS) combustion model, which combines the artificial thickened flame(ATF) model with the flamelet generated manifold(FGM) tabulation method, is proposed. Based on the analysis of laminar flame structures, two self-contained flame sensors are used to track the diffusion and reaction processes with different spatial scales in the flame front, respectively. The dynamic formulation for the proposed SGS combustion model is also performed. Large eddy simulations(LESs) of Bunsen flame F3 are used to evaluate the different SGS combustion models. The results show that the proposed SGS model has the ability in predicting the distributions of temperature and velocity reasonably, while the predictions for the distributions of some species need further improvement. | 15 | Large eddy simulation of turbulent premixed and stratified combustion using flame surface density model coupled with tabulation method显示文摘Large eddy simulations(LESs) are performed to investigate the Cambridge premixed and stratified flames, SwB1 and SwB5, respectively. The flame surface density(FSD) model incorporated with two different wrinkling factor models, i.e., the Muppala and Charlette2 wrinkling factor models, is used to describe combustion/turbulence interaction, and the flamelet generated manifolds(FGM) method is employed to determine major scalars. This coupled sub-grid scale(SGS) combustion model is named as the FSD-FGM model. The FGM method can provide the detailed species in the flame which cannot be obtained from the origin FSD model. The LES results show that the FSD-FGM model has the ability of describing flame propagation, especially for stratified flames. | 16 | Practical decoy-state quantum secure direct communication显示文摘Quantum secure direct communication(QSDC) has been demonstrated in both fiber-based and free-space channels using attenuated lasers. Decoy-state QSDC by exploiting four decoy states has been proposed to address the problem of photon-numbersplitting attacks caused by the use of attenuated lasers. In this study, we present an analysis of the practical aspects of decoy-state QSDC. First, we design a two-decoy-state protocol that only requires two decoy states, thereby significantly reducing experimental complexity. Second, we successfully perform full parameter optimization for a real-life QSDC system by introducing a genetic algorithm. Our simulation results show that the two-decoy-state protocol could be the best choice for developing a practical QSDC system. Furthermore, full optimization is crucial for a high-performance QSDC system. | 17 | 4×4 MIMO fiber-wireless transmission based on an integrated four-channel directly modulated optical transceiver显示文摘In this paper, an integrated compact four-channel directly modulated analog optical transceiver is proposed and fabricated. The 3 d B bandwidth of this optical transceiver exceeds 20 GHz, and the measured spurious-free dynamic range is up to 91.2 d B · Hz^2∕3. The optical coupling efficiency(CE) is improved by using a precise submicron alignment technique for lens coupling in a transmitter optical subassembly, and the highest CE is achieved when the oblique angle of the arrayed waveguide grating using a silica-based planar lightwave circuit(AWG-PLC) in receiver optical sub assembly is set to 42°. Based on the proposed optical transceiver, we have experimentally demonstrated a 6.624 Gbit/s 4 × 4 multi-input multioutput(MIMO) 16-quadrature amplitude modulation orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(16 QAM-OFDM) radio signal over 15.5 km standard single mode fiber, together with 1.2 m wireless transmission in both an uplink and a downlink. To cope with the channel interference and noise of the fiber-wireless transmission system, a low-complexity MIMO demodulation algorithm based on lattice reduction zero-forcing(LR-ZF) is designed. In our experiment, 1.6 d B power penalty is achieved by using the proposed LR-ZF algorithm, compared to the commonly used zero-forcing algorithm.Moreover, this LR-ZF algorithm has much less complexity than the optimal maximum-likelihood sequence estimation(MLSE) at a given transmission performance. | 18 | Improving anti-sulfur performance of methane sensors by new vectors and active components显示文摘Conventional Pd/?-Al2O3 methane sensors are easily poisoned in a sulfur-containing atmosphere, with a subsequent de-crease in sensitivity and the working life of methane sensors. We mainly investigated the effect of nanotechnology and a cerium co-catalyst on the stability and anti-sulfur performance of methane sensors. In our experiment, an anti-sulfur methane sensor was prepared by immersing cerium-containing ?-alumina nanometer elements into a Pt-Pd bimetallic nanometer catalyst. The experi-ment about the sensitivity and stability performance of different catalytic methane sensors indicate that sensitivity, decreased by catalyst sulfur poisoning, is improved significantly by adding cerium to the vector. A 31-year-old female came to the psychiatric clinic and complained of a more than 7-year abnormality of motion perception.She described the symptom to be similar to 'head-shaking.'
