1Ultrafast epitaxial growth of metre-sized single-crystal graphene on industrial Cu foil显示文摘A foundation of the modern technology that uses single-crystal silicon has been the growth of highquality single-crystal Si ingots with diameters up to 12 inches or larger. For many applications of graphene, large-area high-quality(ideally of single-crystal) material will be enabling. Since the first growth on copper foil a decade ago, inch-sized single-crystal graphene has been achieved. We present here the growth, in 20 min, of a graphene film of(5 ×50) cm^2 dimension with >99% ultra-highly oriented grains.This growth was achieved by:(1) synthesis of metre-sized single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) foil as substrate;(2)epitaxial growth of graphene islands on the Cu(1 1 1) surface;(3) seamless merging of such graphene islands into a graphene film with high single crystallinity and(4) the ultrafast growth of graphene film.These achievements were realized by a temperature-gradient-driven annealing technique to produce single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) from industrial polycrystalline Cu foil and the marvellous effects of a continuous oxygen supply from an adjacent oxide. The as-synthesized graphene film, with very few misoriented grains(if any), has a mobility up to ~23,000 cm^2 V^(-1)s^(-1)at 4 K and room temperature sheet resistance of ~230 Ω/□. 4miR-210 over-expression enhances mesenchymal stem cell survival in an oxidative stress environment through antioxidation and c-Met pathway activation显示文摘microRNA-210(miR-210)has generally been reported to be associated with cell survival under hypoxia.However,there are few data regarding the role of miR-210 in the survival of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)under oxidative stress conditions.Thus,we sought to investigate whether miR-210 over-expression could protect MSCs against oxidative stress injury and what the primary mechanisms involved are.The results showed that over-expression of miR-210 significantly reduced the apoptosis of MSCs under oxidative stress,accompanied by obvious increases in cell viability and superoxide dismutase activity and remarkable decreases in malonaldehyde content and reactive oxygen species production,resulting in a noticeable reduction of apoptotic indices when compared with the control.Moreover,the above beneficial effects of miR-210 could be significantly reduced by c-Met pathway repression.Collectively,these results showed that miR-210 over-expression improved MSC survival under oxidative stress through antioxidation and c-Met pathway activation,indicating the potential development of a novel approach to enhance the efficacy of MSC-based therapy for injured myocardium.XU JianFeng HUANG ZheYong LIN Li FU MingQiang GAO YanHua SHEN YunLi ZOU YunZeng SUN AiJun QIAN JuYing GE JunBo 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,10:10
5Grasping institutional complexity in infrastructure megaprojects through the multi-level governance system: A case study of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge construction显示文摘This study analyzes the design and operation of multi-level governance system for the smooth delivery of infrastructure mega-projects with high institutional complexity caused by market transition. From an institutional perspective, this study scrutinizes the structure,elements, and dynamics of the governance system of infrastructure mega-projects and then proposes an integrative framework based on the inductive case study of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge mega-project. Multiple evidences of archives, field studies, and interviews related to the case project are triangulated to further analyze the institutional effects, specifically those with government logics and market structures, on the design and operation of the three-level governance system. Results reveal that the co-evolution between governments and markets in China has shaped the vertical levels of the mega-project governance system and has further affected their evolution and operation across various stages of project development. 6Construction of a macromolecular structural model of Chinese lignite and analysis of its low-temperature oxidation behavior显示文摘The aim of this paper is to analyze the change in the active structure of lignite during the process of lowtemperature oxidation by constructing a molecular structure model for lignite. Using quantum computation combined with experimental results of proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), a structural model for the large molecular structure was constructed. By analyzing the bond lengths in the model molecule, the evolution law for the active structure of lignite was predicted for the process of low-temperature oxidation. In low-temperature oxidation,alkanes and hydroxyls are the primary active structures observed in lignite, though ether may also react. These active functional groups react with oxygen to release heat, thereby speeding up the reaction between coal and oxygen. 7Effect of illumination intensity and light application time on secondary organic aerosol formation from the photooxidation of α-pinene显示文摘Secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation from hydroxyl radical (OH.) initiated photooxidation of α-pinene was investigated in a home-made smog chamber. The size distribution of SOA particles was measured using aerodynamic particle sizer spectrometer. The effects of illumination intensity and light application time on SOA formation for α-pinene were evaluated. Experimental results show that the concentration of SOA particles increased significantly with an increasing of illumination intensity, and the light application time, the concentration, and the size of SOA particles were also increased. In addition, the factors influencing the formation of SOA were discussed. 8Size-Dependent Oxidation-Induced Phase Engineering for MOFs Derivatives Via Spatial Confinement Strategy Toward Enhanced Microwave Absorption显示文摘Precisely reducing the size of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)derivatives is an effective strategy to manipulate their phase engineering owing to size-dependent oxidation;however,the underlying relationship between the size of derivatives and phase engineering has not been clarified so far.Herein,a spatial confined growth strategy is proposed to encapsulate small-size MOFs derivatives into hollow carbon nanocages.It realizes that the hollow cavity shows a significant spatial confinement effect on the size of confined MOFs crystals and subsequently affects the dielectric polarization due to the phase hybridization with tunable coherent interfaces and heterojunctions owing to size-dependent oxidation motion,yielding to satisfied microwave attenuation with an optimal reflection loss of-50.6 d B and effective bandwidth of 6.6 GHz.Meanwhile,the effect of phase hybridization on dielectric polarization is deeply visualized,and the simulated calculation and electron holograms demonstrate that dielectric polarization is shown to be dominant dissipation mechanism in determining microwave absorption.This spatial confined growth strategy provides a versatile methodology for manipulating the size of MOFs derivatives and the understanding of size-dependent oxidation-induced phase hybridization offers a precise inspiration in optimizing dielectric polarization and microwave attenuation in theory.Hanxiao Xu Guozheng Zhang Yi Wang Mingqiang Ning Bo Ouyang Yang Zhao Ying Huang Panbo Liu 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,6:7
9Multiple linear equation of pore structure and coal–oxygen diffusion on low temperature oxidation process of lignite显示文摘This work aimed at studying the feasibility of calculating the coal–oxygen diffusion properties during the low temperature oxidation process of lignite so as to predict its spontaneous combustion process. Coal samples were oxidized in air ambient under different temperatures. Scanning Electron Microscope was used to indicate the surface morphology changes of oxidization. Then, based on fractal theory and flow characteristics, the fractal dimension of gas diffusion in the pore ways was calculated under different temperature. Considering pore size distribution, connectivity distribution and Fick diffusion mechanisms, the relationship between the gas diffusivity change with pore area fractal dimension and porosity was investigated, and multiple linear equation of the coal–oxygen diffusion coefficients and pore parameters was obtained. Comparison between the experimental data and model prediction verifies the validity of the model. 10Characterization of particulate products for aging of ethylbenzene secondary organic aerosol in the presence of ammonium sulfate seed aerosol显示文摘Aging of secondary organic aerosol(SOA) particles formed from OH– initiated oxidation of ethylbenzene in the presence of high mass(100–300 μg/m^3) concentrations of(NH_4)_2SO_4seed aerosol was investigated in a home-made smog chamber in this study.The chemical composition of aged ethylbenzene SOA particles was measured using an aerosol laser time-of-flight mass spectrometer(ALTOFMS) coupled with a Fuzzy C-Means(FCM) clustering algorithm.Experimental results showed that nitrophenol,ethyl-nitrophenol,2,4-dinitrophenol,methyl glyoxylic acid,5-ethyl-6-oxo-2,4-hexadienoic acid,2-ethyl-2,4-hexadiendioic acid,2,3-dihydroxy-5-ethyl-6-oxo-4-hexenoic acid,1H-imidazole,hydrated N-glyoxal substituted1H-imidazole,hydrated glyoxal dimer substituted imidazole,1H-imidazole-2-carbaldehyde,N-glyoxal substituted hydrated 1H-imidazole-2-carbaldehyde and high-molecular-weight(HMW) components were the predominant products in the aged particles.Compared to the previous aromatic SOA aging studies,imidazole compounds,which can absorb solar radiation effectively,were newly detected in aged ethylbenzene SOA in the presence of high concentrations of(NH_4)_2SO_4seed aerosol.These findings provide new information for discussing aromatic SOA aging mechanisms.Mingqiang Huang Jiahui Zhang Shunyou Cai Yingmin Liao Weixiong Zhao Changjin Hu Xuejun Gu Li Fang Weijun Zhang 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,9:6

12Experimental study of photooxidation products of ethylbenzene显示文摘Smog chamber experiments were performed to investigate the composition of products formed from photooxidation of aromatic hydrocarbon ethylbenzene.Vacuum ultraviolet photoionization mass spectrometer and aerosol time-of-flight mass spectrometer were used to measure the products in the gas and particle phases in real-time.Experimental results demonstrated that ethylphenol,methylglyoxal,phenol,benzaldehyde,and 2-ethylfurane were the predominant photooxidation products in both the gas and particle phases.However,there were some dierences between detected gas phase products and those of particle phase,for example,2-ethylfurane,ethylglyoxylic acid,nitroethylbenzene,3,4-dioxopentanal and ethyl-nitrophenol were only existing in the particle-phase. 13A space power system of free piston Stirling generator based on potassium heat pipe显示文摘The power system of a free piston Stirling generator(FPSG)based on potassium heat pipes has been developed in this paper.Thanks to the advantages of long life,high reliability,and high overall thermal efficiency,the FPSG is a promising candidate for nuclear energy,especially in space exploration.In this paper,the recent progress of FPSG based on nuclear reactor for space use was briefly reviewed.A novel FPSG weighted only 4.2 kg was designed,and one dimensional thermodynamic modeling of the FPSG using Sage software was performed to estimate its performance.The experiment results indicated that this FPSG could provide 142.4 W at a thermal-to-electric efficiency of nearly 17.4%.Besides,the power system integrated with four FPSGs and potassium heat pipes was performed and the single machine failure test was conducted.The results show that this system could provide an electrical power of 300 W at an overall thermal efficiency of 7.3%.Thus,it is concluded that this power system is feasible and will have a great prospect for future applications.Mingqiang LIN Jian MOU Chunyun CHI Guotong HONG Panhe GE Gu HU 2020Frontiers in Energy2020,14,1:5
14Clinical significance of HBME-1,Galectin-3,and CK19 expression and the status of BRAF mutation in papillary thyroid carcinoma显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to explore the clinical significance of the expression of proteins human bone marrow endothelial cell markers(HBME-1), Galectin-3, and cytokeratin19(CK19), as well as the status of v-raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1(BRAF) mutation in papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC). Methods Immunohistochemical staining was performed in 82 specimens each of PTC and papillary benign lesions to detect the expression of HBME-1, Galectin-3, and CK19. Polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and gene sequencing were performed on 60 specimens each of PTC and papillary benign lesions to detect the status of BRAF mutation. Results The positive expression ratios of HBME-1, Galectin-3, and CK19 in PTC were 98.8%, 97.6% and 100% respectively, which were significantly higher than the expressions in papillary benign lesions(P < 0.05). No significant relationship was observed between the expression of these makers and the clinicopathological features of PTC. The sensitivity of co-expression of HBME-1 and CK19 or HBME-1 and Galectin-3 as diagnostic criteria of PTC was 99.9%, with a specificity of 95.4%. BRAF mutation was detected in 40 of 60 PTC(66.7%) specimens. There was a statistical difference in BRAF mutations between PTC and papillary benign lesions(P < 0.05); there were no associations between BRAF mutation and the clinicopathological features of PTC. Conclusion Combined immunohistochemical staining of HBME-1, Galectin-3, and CK19 can further improve the sensitivity and specificity of differential diagnosis of PTC. 15Integrated generation–consumption dispatch based on compensation mechanism considering demand response behavior显示文摘Demand response(DR) is important to account for behaviors of the demand side to yield an optimal dispatch result. However, it is difficult for energy suppliers to collect customers' private information unless there is an incentive mechanism for customers to do so. Therefore,this paper proposes a new integrated generation–consumption dispatch based on compensation mechanism considering DR behavior. Firstly, in light of the dayahead load forecast data, we deduce the utility function model of different customers. By subtracting generating units' operation cost from consumers' total utility, the dispatch model has a decentralized demand participant structure based on this utility function. The utility function is used to describe consumers' preferences and energy consumption behaviors. Secondly, an effective compensation mechanism is designed to ensure customers to select the level of compensation appropriate to their willingness to curtail load. Finally, a new dispatch model is proposed that incorporates the DR compensation mechanism into the generation–consumption dispatch model. The new model can improve the interaction of generation and consumption,and benefit both the energy supplier and its customers. The proposed model is piecewise linearized and solved by a mixed-integer linear programming method. It is tested on a six-bus system and the IEEE 118-bus system. 16Co-delivery of doxorubicin and paclitaxel with linear-dendritic block copolymer for enhanced anti-cancer efficacy显示文摘A series of well-defined amphiphilic linear-dendritic block copolymers(telodendrimers, MPEG-b-PAMAM-cholesterol) with 1,2,4 or 8 cholesteryl groups(named as P1, P2, P4, P8, respectively) were synthesized. Their chemical structures were characterized with 1H NMR and mass spectrum(MALDI-TOF MS). The telodendrimers could self-assemble into micelles in aqueous solution, and encapsulate chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin(DOX) and paclitaxel(PTX) for combination therapy. All the telodendrimers could encapsulate DOX with similar capability. However, their drug-loading capability of PTX is increased with the increasing number of cholesteryl groups. P8 exhibited much higher PTX loading efficiency than its counterparts. Thus, P8 was selected for further application of drug delivery in the paper. The drug-loading micellar nanoparticles(NPs) of P8 were spherical in shape and their diameters were less than 150 nm which were determined by dynamic light scattering measurements(DLS) and transmission electron microscope(TEM). In vitro drug release experiment demonstrated that P8 exhibited a controlled release manner for both DOX and PTX, and the two drugs were released simultaneously. In vitro cytotoxicity experiment further demonstrated that the co-delivery of DOX and PTX in P8 exhibited better anti-cancer efficiency than the delivery systems encapsulated with single drug(DOX or PTX). This indicates a synergistic effect. 19Evaluation of simulation-based training for aircraft carrier marshalling with learning cubic and Kirkpatrick's models显示文摘Simulation-based training is a promising way to train a carrier flight deck crew because of the complex and dangerous working environment. Quantitative evaluation of simulation-based training quality is vital to make simulation-based training practical for aircraft carrier marshalling.This paper develops a personal computer-based aircraft carrier marshalling simulation system and a cave automatic virtual environment(CAVE)-based immersive environment. In order to compare the training effectiveness of simulation-based training and paper-based training, a learning cubic model is proposed and a contrast experiment is carried out as well. The experimental data is analyzed based on a simplified Kirkpatrick's model. 20Non-uniform hybrid strategy for architecting and modeling flight vehicle focused system-of-systems operations显示文摘To balance the contradiction between comprehensiveness of system-of-systems(So S)description and cost of modeling and simulation, a non-uniform hybrid strategy(NUHYS) is proposed. NUHYS groups elements of an So S operation into system community or relatively independent system based on contributors complexity and focus relationship according to the focus of So S problem. Meanwhile, modeling methods are categorized based on details attention rate and dynamic attention rate, seeking for matching contributors.
