| 1 | RNA Interference-based Suppression of Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase Results in Susceptibility of Rapeseed to Osmotic Stress显示文摘The diverse functions of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase(PEPCase;EC 4.1.1.31) in C3 plants are not as well understood as in C4 plants.To investigate the functions of PEPCase in C3 plants,rapeseed(Brassica napus L.) PEPCase gene(referred to as BNPE15) was silenced by the RNA interference(RNAi) technique.Under normal growth conditions,no significant difference in lipid content and fatty acid composition were found between wild-type(WT) and transgenic rapeseed plants.However,when these plants were subjected to osmotic stress induced by osmoticum polyethylene glycol(PEG-6000),membrane permeability and membrane lipid peroxidization in roots and leaves of transgenic plants were higher than those of WT plants.It suggested that transgenic plants are more susceptible to osmotic stress than WT plants.Taken together,the results showed that the suppression of PEPCase by RNAi leads to susceptibility to osmotic stress in rapeseed,and PEPCase is involved in the response of C3 plants to environmental stress. | Mei Chen Yunlai Tang Jingmei Zhang Mingfeng Yang Yinong Xu | 2010 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2010,52,6: | 4 |

We use the system in which the transmon qubits are capacitively coupled to a superconducting transmission line resonator driven by a strong microwave field. | 6 | How does an individual’s default behavior on an online peer-to-peer lending platform influence an observer’s default intention?显示文摘Previous studies indicate that individuals’default behaviors on online peer-to-peer(P2P)lending platforms greatly influence other borrowers’default intentions.However,the mechanism of this impact is not clear.Moreover,there is scarce research in regard to which factors influence the relationship between an individual’s default behavior and an observer’s default intention.These important questions are yet to be resolved;hence,we conducted two experiments using the scenario-based research method,focusing on Chinese online P2P lending platforms.Our results indicate that an individual’s default behavior can trigger an observer’s default intention as a result of the imperfect punitive measures as they currently exist on Chinese online P2P lending platforms.Both the observer’s moral disengagement level and pragmatic self-activation level serve as mediating variables.In situations where an observer knows an individual’s default behavior,the level of intimacy between the defaulter and observer positively affects the relationship between their default behavior and intention.The intimacy level also positively influences the relationship between the individual’s default behavior and the two mediator variables.Based on the findings,we provide management suggestions in the context of online P2P lending.Our study sets a foundation for future research to utilize other methods to extend the present research findings to other regions and domains. | Mingfeng Tang Mei Mei Cuiwen Li Xingyang Lv Xushuang Li Lihao Wang | 2020 | Financial Innovation2020,6,1: | 1 |

| 11 | Knocking-Out OsPDR7 Triggers Up-Regulation of OsZIP9 Expression and Enhances Zinc Accumulation in Rice显示文摘Zinc(Zn) is an essential trace mineral that is required for plant growth and development. A number of protein transporters, which are involved in Zn uptake, translocation and distribution, are finely regulated to maintain Zn homeostasis in plant. In this study, we functionally characterized an ATP-binding cassette(ABC) transporter gene, OsPDR7, which is involved in Zn homeostasis. Os PDR7 encodes a plasma membrane-localized protein that is expressed mainly in the exodermis and xylem in the rice root.ospdr7 mutants resulted in higher Zn accumulation compared with the wild type. Heterogeneous expression of OsPDR7 in a yeast mutant rescued the Zn-deficiency phenotype, implying transport activity of OsPDR7 to Zn in yeast. However, no ZIP genes except for OsZIP9 showed change in expression profile in the ospdr7 mutants, which suggested that OsPDR7 maintains cellular Zn homeostasis through regulating Os ZIP9 expression. RNA-Seq analysis further revealed a set of differentially expressed genes between the wild type and ospdr7 mutants that allowed us to propose a possible OsPDR7-associated signaling network involving transporters, hormone responsive genes, and transcription factors. | 12 | The Near-Nuclear Study of Comet Hale Bopp显示文摘The wavelet transform is applied to studying the near nuclear region of Comet Hale Bopp. The transform suppresses the coma background to enhance visibility of coma features such as jets and shells from which apparent expansion speed is measured. Furthermore, two cometary bursts of this comet were found on April 22 and Sept. 10 11. 1996. The latter one coincides with a strong increase in the luminosity in X rays almost at the same time. During the outburst, two globular ejecta were found, and their expanding speeds were about 100m/s.
