2Chromosome-scale genome assembly provides insights into the evolution and flavor synthesis of passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims)显示文摘Passion fruit(Passiflora edulis Sims)is an economically valuable fruit that is cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions of the world.Here,we report an~1341.7Mb chromosome-scale genome assembly of passion fruit,with 98.91%(~1327.18Mb)of the assembly assigned to nine pseudochromosomes.The genome includes 23,171 protein-coding genes,and most of the assembled sequences are repetitive sequences,with long-terminal repeats(LTRs)being the most abundant.Phylogenetic analysis revealed that passion fruit diverged after Brassicaceae and before Euphorbiaceae.Ks analysis showed that two whole-genome duplication events occurred in passion fruit at 65 MYA and 12 MYA,which may have contributed to its large genome size.An integrated analysis of genomic,transcriptomic,and metabolomic data showed that‘alpha-linolenic acid metabolism’,‘metabolic pathways’,and‘secondary metabolic pathways’were the main pathways involved in the synthesis of important volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in passion fruit,and this analysis identified some candidate genes,including GDP-fucose Transporter 1-like,Tetratricopeptide repeat protein 33,protein NETWORKED 4B isoform X1,and Golgin Subfamily A member 6-like protein 22.In addition,we identified 13 important gene families in fatty acid pathways and eight important gene families in terpene pathways.Gene family analysis showed that the ACX,ADH,ALDH,and HPL gene families,especially ACX13/14/15/20,ADH13/26/33,ALDH1/4/21,and HPL4/6,were the key genes for ester synthesis,while the TPS gene family,especially PeTPS2/3/4/24,was the key gene family for terpene synthesis.This work provides insights into genome evolution and flavor trait biology and offers valuable resources for the improved cultivation of passion fruit.Zhiqiang Xia Dongmei Huang Shengkui Zhang Wenquan Wang Funing Ma Bin Wu Yi Xu Bingqiang Xu Di Chen Meiling Zou Huanyu Xu Xincheng Zhou Rulin Zhan Shun Song 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:15
3Study on Adsorption of Formaldehyde by Modified Activated Carbon显示文摘By using potassium permanganate impregnation method,common activated carbon was processed in 0. 079 mol/L KMnO_4 solution at 650℃ to obtain modified activated carbon loaded with manganese oxide,and then different quantities of common activated carbon and modified activated carbon were used to adsorb 0. 3 mg/m^3 formaldehyde. The results showed that carbon and manganese atoms on the surface of modified activated carbon could adsorb formaldehyde,and the removal rate of 0. 3 mg/m^3 formaldehyde by 30 g of modified activated carbon reached 80%,increased one time compared with that by common activated carbon. 4Comparative transcriptomics revealed enhanced light responses, energy transport and storage in domestication of cassava(Manihot esculenta)显示文摘Cassava is a staple food, feed and bioenergy crop important to the world especially in the tropics.Domesticated cassava is characterized by powerful carbohydrate accumulation but its wild progenitor is not.Here, we investigated the transcriptional differences of eight c DNA libraries derived from developing leaf, stem and storage root of cassava cv. Arg7 and an ancestor line,W14, using next generation sequencing system. A total of41302 assembled transcripts were obtained and from these,25961 transcripts with FPKM≥3 in at least one library were named the expressed genes. A total of 2117, 1963 and3584 transcripts were found to be differentially expressed in leaf, stem and storage root(150 d after planting),respectively, between Arg7 and W14 and ascribed to 103,93 and 119 important pathways in leaf, stem and storage root, respectively. The highlight of this work is that the genes involved in light response, such as those for photosystem I(PSA) and photosystem II(PSB), other genes involved in light harvesting, and some of the genes in the Calvin cycle of carbon fixation were specially upregulated in leaf. Genes for transport and also for key rate-limiting enzymes(PFK, PGK and PK, GAPDH)coupling ATP consumption in glycolysis pathway were predominantly expressed in stem, and genes for sucrose degradation(INVs), amylose synthesis(GBSS) and hydrolysis(RCP1, AMYs), the three key steps of starch metabolism, and transport associated with energy translocation(ABC, AVPs and ATPase) and their upstream transcription factors had enhanced expression in storage root in domesticated cassava. 5Chromosomal-level genome of macadamia(Macadamia integrifolia)显示文摘Macadamia from the family Proteaceae is a plant native to Australia and has long been favoured by people for its crispy and high nutritional and medicinal value.Here,the genome of GUIRE 1(GR1),a highly heterozygous superior cultivar of macadamia nut,was sequenced and assembled using nanopore sequencing,and a 807-Mb genome(contig N50,1.9 Mb;scaffold N50,54.70 Mb)and 14 chromosomes were obtained.A total of 453 Mb(about 55.95%)repetitive sequences and 37,657 protein-coding genes were obtained by gene annotation and homologous protein comparison.Proteaceae diverged from Nelumbonaceae nearly 115.37 million years ago and from Rubiaceae about 140 million years ago.A genome-wide duplication(WGD)event occurred in macadamia 41 million years ago based on the WGD analysis.The functional enrichment analysis of M.integrifolia-specific gene families revealed their roles in signal transduction,protein phosphorylation,protein binding,and defense response.Here,a highly heterozygous genome of M.integrifolia was unlocked to provide a database for breeding and molecular mechanism research.Chengcai Xia Sirong Jiang Qiujin Tan Wenquan Wang Long Zhao Chenji Zhang Yuting Bao Qi Liu Jianjia Xiao Ke Deng Miaohua He Pengliang An Wenlin Wang Meiling Zou Zhiqiang Xia 2022Tropical Plants2022,1,1:3
6Preliminary Analysis of Influencing Factors of Low Visibility on a Hazy Day in Winter in Binzhou City显示文摘Based on the monitoring data of visibility,particulate matter( PM_(2. 5) and PM_(10)) and atmospheric pollutants( SO_2,NO_2,CO,and O_3),and meteorological factors( temperature,humidity,and wind speed) at the six automatic air monitoring stations in Binzhou City from December 2016 to February 2017,the correlations between visibility and influencing factors were analyzed to study the main influencing factors of atmospheric visibility. The results showed that the daily average concentration of particulate matter negatively correlated with atmospheric visibility,and the correlation between PM_(2. 5) concentration and atmospheric visibility was more obvious than that of PM_(10) concentration. Among atmospheric pollutants,the daily average concentration of CO,NO_2 and SO_2 also negatively correlated with atmospheric visibility,while there was a positive correlation between visibility and the daily average concentration of O_3. Daily average temperature and wind speed positively correlated with visibility,while relative humidity negatively correlated with visibility. 11Adsorption Ability of Green Plants to Heavy Metals in the Atmosphere of Binzhou City显示文摘Through exploring the cumulative contents of Pb, Cu and Cd, the 3 common heavy metals in air pollution, in leaves of some widely-applied green plants in different functional areas in urban districts of Binzhou City, this paper figured out its relationship with functional areas in the city, and whether green plants are selective in adsorbing heavy metals or not. The research found that cumulative content of Cu and Cd varied greatly in leaves of the same species in different functional areas, and also in leaves of different species in the same area. 15Effects of Long-term Fertilization on Phosphorus Accumulation and Migration in Purple Soil显示文摘Based on a long-term location test lasting for 20 years,the accumulation and migration of phosphorus in purple soil was studied.The results showed that P_2O_5 input in paddy-upland rotation was 120.0 kg/(hm^2· a)(a conventional level of phosphorus application),and P had a surplus of 53.9 kg/(hm^2· a).Phosphorus accumulating in soil increased available phosphorus(Olsen-P) content,and the positive correlation between P changing balance and Olsen-P change in wheat-rice rotation was extremely significant.The mixed application of organic fertilizer and chemical P fertilizer can speed up accumulation of available phosphorus in soil.Olsen-P content in all treatments with P fertilizer was higher in 0-60 cm soil than that of treatments without P fertilizer,and Phosphorus applied in surface soil moved to soil at a depth of 60 cm,increasing risk of P leakage and loss.The migration of phosphorus in soil is affected by P input,type of organic fertilizer and planting method.The quantities of phosphorus moving down increased with the increase of P input,and the application of pig manure can lead to migration of phosphorus in soil more easily compared with straw.The migration of phosphorus from soil to water mainly occurred in the first ten days after rice was transplanted,and paddy field drainage should not be conducted in the first 30 days after rice was transplanted.Li Xueping Zou Meiling Ren Jiayun 2015Meteorological and Environmental Research2015,6,8:1
16An E. coli SOS-EGFP biosensor for fast and sensitive detection of DNA damaging agents显示文摘An E. coli SOS-EGFP biosensor which expresses enhanced green fluorescent protein as a reporter protein under the control of recA gene promoter in SOS response was constructed for detection of DNA damage and evaluation of DNA damaging chemicals. The chemicals that may cause substantial DNA damage will trigger SOS response in the constructed bacterial biosensor, and then the reporter egfp gene under the control of recA promoter is stimulated to express as a fluorescent protein, allowing fast and sensitive fluorescence detection. Interestingly, this biosensor can be simultaneously applied for evaluation of genotoxicity and cytotoxicity. 19WDR74 functions as a novel coactivator in TGF-β signaling显示文摘Smads are critical intracellular signal transducers for transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β) in mammalian cells. In this study, we have identified WD repeat-containing protein 74(WDR74) as a novel transcriptional coactivator for Smads in the canonical TGF-β signaling pathway. Through direct interactions with Smad proteins, WDR74 enhances TGF-β-mediated phosphorylation and nuclear accumulation of Smad2 and Smad3. Consequently, WDR74 enables stronger transcriptional responses and more robust TGF-β-induced physiological responses. 20Coordinated Development Level of Economic Society and Ecological Environment in Binzhou City显示文摘Based on the data of GDP per capita and emissions of major pollutants in Binzhou City from 2013 to 2017,the changing trends of emissions of major pollutants with the increase of GDP per capita,as well as the coordinated development level of ecological environment and social economy in Binzhou City were studied.The results showed that with the increase of GDP per capita,the changing curves of industrial wastewater and industrial soot in Binzhou City were inverted-U-shaped,and the emission of industrial wastewater reduced after peaking.However,the production of industrial solid waste and the emission of industrial waste gas did not show a downward trend with economic growth,and still increased year by year.The coordination degree of economic development and ecological environment protection in Binzhou City was moderately lagged.By the adjustment of industrial structure,environmental protection and control should be increased,and relevant regulations should be formulated to control pollutant emissions,thereby achieving sustainable development and coordinated development of regional ecology and environment.Meiling ZOU Yaojun WAN Xinghua WANG 2019Asian Agricultural Research2019,11,10:0
