| 1 | A two-dimensional limit equilibrium computer code for analysis of complex toppling slope failures显示文摘Evaluation of blocky or layered rock slopes against toppling failures has remained of great concern for engineers in various rock mechanics projects.Several step-by-step analytical solutions have been developed for analyzing these types of slope failures.However,manual application of these analytical solutions for real case studies can be time-consuming,complicated,and in certain cases even impossible.This study will first examine existing methods for toppling failure analyses that are reviewed,modified and generalized to consider the effects of a wide range of external and dead loads on slope stability.Next,based on the generalized presented formulae,a Windows form computer code is programmed using Visual C#for analysis of common types of toppling failures.Input parameters,including slope geometry,joint sets parameters,rock and soil properties,ground water level,dynamic loads,support anchor loads as well as magnitudes and forms of external forces,are first loaded into the code.The input data are then saved and used to graphically draw the slope model.This is followed by automatic identification of the toppling failure mode and a deterministic analysis of the slope stability against this failure mode.The results are presented using a graphical approach.The developed code allows probabilistic introduction of the input parameters via probability distribution functions(PDFs)and thus a probabilistic analysis of the toppling failure modes using Monte-Carlo simulation technique.This allows calculation of the probability of slope failure.Finally,several published case studies and typical examples are analyzed with the developed code.The outcomes are compared with those of the main references to assess the performance and robustness of the developed computer code.The comparisons demonstrate good agreement between the results. | Akbar Ardestani Mehdi Amini Kamran Esmaeili | 2021 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,1: | 4 |

| 4 | A QUICK AND GREEN IONIC LIQUID-MEDIATED APPROACH FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE, ORGANOSOLUBLE AND THERMALLY STABLE POLYIMIDES显示文摘Three diamine monomers with different derivatives of imidazole heterocyclic ring and meta-linked aryl ethers were synthesized and used in polycodensation reaction with various commercial dianhydrides for preparation of a series of novel poly(ether-imide) (PEI)s. The polycodensation reactions were carried out by using conventional method and in a green medium of ionic liquid (IL) without using NMP-pyridine-acetic anhydride. The PEIs were obtained in good yields (80% 96%) with moderate viscosity (0.48 0.66 dL/g) in a shorter reaction time (10 h) in IL as compared with the conventional method (36 h). | 11 | Neural differentiation of choroid plexus epithelial cells:role of human traumatic cerebrospinal fluid显示文摘As the key producer of cerebrospinal fluid(CSF),the choroid plexus(CP) provides a unique protective system in the central nervous system.CSF components are not invariable and they can change based on the pathological conditions of the central nervous system.The purpose of the present study was to assess the effects of non-traumatic and traumatic CSF on the differentiation of multipotent stem-like cells of CP into the neural and/or glial cells.CP epithelial cells were isolated from adult male rats and treated with human non-traumatic and traumatic CSF.Alterations in m RNA expression of Nestin and microtubule-associated protein(MAP2),as the specific markers of neurogenesis,and astrocyte marker glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) in cultured CP epithelial cells were evaluated using quantitative real-time PCR.The data revealed that treatment with CSF(non-traumatic and traumatic) led to increase in m RNA expression levels of MAP2 and GFAP.Moreover,the expression of Nestin decreased in CP epithelial cells treated with non-traumatic CSF,while treatment with traumatic CSF significantly increased its m RNA level compared to the cells cultured only in DMEM/F12 as control.It seems that CP epithelial cells contain multipotent stem-like cells which are inducible under pathological conditions including exposure to traumatic CSF because of its compositions. | Elham Hashemi Yousef Sadeghi Abbas Aliaghaei Afsoun Seddighi Abbas Piryaei Mehdi Eskandarian Broujeni Fatemeh Shaerzadeh Abdollah Amini Ramin Pouriran | 2017 | Neural Regeneration Research2017,12,1: | 0 |
