1Application of high magnetic fields in advanced materials processing显示文摘Recently,steady magnetic fields avail-able from cryogen-free superconducting magnets open up new ways to process materials. In this paper,the main results obtained by using a high magnetic field to process several advanced materials are re-viewed. These processed objects primarily include superconducting,magnetic,metallic and nanome-ter-scaled materials. It has been found that a high magnetic field can effectively align grains when fab-ricating the magnetic and non-magnetic materials and make inclusions migrate in a molten metal. 3Electrochemical reduction of graphene oxide films:Preparation,characterization and their electrochemical properties显示文摘Graphene oxide (GO) film was electrochemically reduced by a cyclic voltammetry technique in 6 mol L-1 KOH aqueous solution.Electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ER-GO) film was characterized by X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,atomic force microscopy,and Raman spectroscopy.The oxygen content (with the O/C atomic ratio of 1.29%) was significantly decreased after electrochemical reduction.The ER-GO film exhibited a specific capacitance of 152 F g-1 at the current density of 5 A g-1 and a good rate capability.Furthermore,the ER-GO film showed an excellent cycling ability.The capacitance retention remained 99% after 3000 cycles at the current density of 10 A g-1.ZHANG Xiong ZHANG DaCheng CHEN Yao SUN XianZhong MA YanWei 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,23:6
4Recent advances in carbon nanostructures prepared from carbon dioxide for high-performance supercapacitors显示文摘The burgeoning global economy during the past decades gives rise to the continuous increase in fossil fuels consumption and rapid growth of CO_(2) emission,which demands an urgent exploration into green and sustainable devices for energy storage and power management.Supercapacitors based on activated carbon electrodes are promising systems for highly efficient energy harvesting and power supply,but their promotion is hindered by the moderate energy density compared with batteries.Therefore,scalable conversion of CO_(2) into novel carbon nanostructures offers a powerful alternative to tackle both issues:mitigating the greenhouse effect caused by redundant atmospheric CO_(2) and providing carbon materials with enhanced electrochemical performances.In this tutorial review,the techniques,opportunities and barriers in the design and fabrication of advanced carbon materials using CO_(2) as feedstock as well as their impact on the energy-storage performances of supercapacitors are critically examined.In particular,the chemical aspects of various Cv2 conversion reactions are highlighted to establish a detailed understanding for the science and technology involved in the microstructural evolution,surface engineering and porosity control of CO_(2)-converted carbon nanostructures.Finally,the prospects and challenges associated with the industrialization of CO_(2) conversion and their practical application in supercapacitors are also discussed.Chen Li Xiong Zhang Kai Wang Fangyuan Su Cheng-Meng Chen Fangyan Liu Zhong-Shuai Wu Yanwei Ma 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:4
5A safe,low-cost and high-efficiency presodiation strategy for pouch-type sodium-ion capacitors with high energy density显示文摘Sodium-ion capacitors(SICs)have attracted appreciable attention in virtue of the higher energy and power densities compared with their rivals,supercapacitors and sodium-ion batteries.Due to the lack of sodium resources in cathode,presodiation is critical for SICs to further augment performances.However,current presodiation strategy utilizes metallic sodium as the presodiation material.In this strategy,assembling/disassembling of half-cells is required,which is dangerous and in creases the time and cost of SIC leading to the restriction of their industrialization and commercialization.Herein we present a safe,low-cost and high-efficiency presodiation strategy by first employing Na_(2)C_(2)O_(4) as the sacrificial salt applied in SICs.Na_(2)C_(2)O_(4) is environmentally friendly and possesses considerably low expenditure.No additional residues remain after sodium extraction ascribed to its'zero dead mass'property.When paired with commercial activated carb on as the cathode and commercial hard carbon as the ano de,the constructed pouch-type SICs exhibit high energy and power densities of 91.7 Wh/kg and 13.1 kW/kg,respectively.This work shows a prospect of realizing the safe and low-cost manufacturing for high-performance SICs commercially.Congkai Sun Xiong Zhang Chen Li Kai Wang Xianzhong Sun Fangyan Liu Zhong-Shuai Wu Yanwei Ma 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,1:3

7Carbon-coated Li3VO4 with optimized structure as high capacity anode material for lithium-ion capacitors显示文摘Due to the high capacity,moderate voltage platform,and stable structure,Li3VO4(LVO) has attracted close attention as feasible anode material for lithium-ion capacitor.However,the intrinsic low electronic conductivity and sluggish kinetics of the Li+ insertion process severely impede its practical application in lithium-ion capacitors(LICs).Herein,a carbon-coated Li3VO4(LVO/C) hierarchical structure was prepared by a facial one-step solid-state method.The synthesized LVO/C composite delivers an impressive capacity of 435 mAh/g at 0.07 A/g,remarkable rate capability,and nearly 100% capacity retention after 500 cycles at 0.5 A/g.The superior electrochemical properties of LVO/C composite materials are attributed to the improved conductivity of electron and stable carbon/LVO composite structures.Besides,the LIC device based on activated carbon(AC) cathode and optimal LVO/C as anode reveals a maximum energy density of 110 Wh/kg and long-term cycle life.These results provide a potential way for assembling the advanced hybrid lithium-ion capacitors.Wenjie Liu Xiong Zhang Chen Li Kai Wang Xianzhong Sun Yanwei Ma 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,9:2

9Insulin sensitivity,βcell function,and adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with gestational diabetes显示文摘Background: The potential impact of β cell function and insulin sensitivity on adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) remains uncertain. We aimed to investigate the association between β cell dysfunction, insulin resistance, and the composite adverse pregnancy outcomes.Methods: This observational study included 482 women diagnosed with GDM during pregnancy. Quantitative metrics on β cell function and insulin sensitivity during pregnancy were calculated using traditional equations. The association of β cell dysfunction and insulin resistance with the risk of the composite adverse pregnancy outcomes was investigated using multivariable-adjusted logistic regression models.Results: Multivariable-adjusted odds ratios (ORs) of adverse pregnancy outcomes across quartiles of homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) were 1.00, 0.95, 1.34, and 2.25, respectively (P for trend = 0.011). When HOMA-IR was considered as a continuous variable, the multivariable-adjusted OR of adverse pregnancy outcomes was 1.34 (95% confidence interval 1.16-1.56) for each 1-unit increase in HOMA-IR. Multivariable-adjusted ORs of adverse pregnancy outcomes across quartiles of homeostatic model assessment for β cell function (HOMA-β) were 1.00, 0.51, 0.60, and 0.53, respectively (P for trend = 0.068). When HOMA-β was considered as a continuous variable, the multivariable-adjusted OR of adverse pregnancy outcomes was 0.57 (95% CI 0.24-0.90) for each 1-unit increase in HOMA-β. However, other quantitative metrics were not associated with the composite adverse pregnancy outcomes.Conclusions: We demonstrated a significant association of β cell function and insulin sensitivity with the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. 10Accordion-like titanium carbide(MXene) with high crystallinity as fast intercalative anode for high-rate lithium-ion capacitors显示文摘Two-dimensional transition-metal carbide materials,or MXenes,have attracted great attention in energy-related fields due to their excellent electrical conductivity,and large interlayer spacing.In this work,a simple method involving combustion synthesis and acid treatment to prepare accordion-like Ti3C2Tx MXene with open structure and high crystallinity,which is employed as anode materials in lithium-ion capacitors.Due to the improved ion diffusion and electron transportation of Ti3C2Tx anode,the mismatched electrode kinetics can be largely alleviated to acquire an enhanced power perfo rmance.The assembled Ti3C2Tx-based lithium-ion capacitors provides a maximum energy density of 106 Wh/kg and still exhibits a superior energy density of 79 Wh/kg even at a higher power density of 5.2 kW/kg,which provides a new platform for MXene materials with porous and crystalline features toward both high energy and power densities.Chen Li Xiong Zhang Kai Wang Xianzhong Sun Yanwei Ma 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,4:2

15Research on strong reverberation suppression for high resolution active sonar显示文摘Resolution enhancement of active sonar can suppress the reverberation.While it also makes the envelope data distribution diverge from Rayleigh distribution to K-distribution.The stronger scattering speckles,the heavier of the K-distribution tails.The envelope amplitudes of these strong scattering speckles are usually very big.As the interfering target,the strong reverberation decreases the performances of the background power level estimation and the target detection.The fuzzy statistical normalization processing(FSNP) is introduced to suppress the strong reverberation firstly in this paper.Then how the strong reverberation and the FSNP affect the distribution of K-distributed sonar data is studied.The influence on the constant false alarm rate(CFAR) detection performance caused by the strong reverberation and the FSNP is also simulated and analyzed.Performance comparisons between the CFAR detector based on FSNP and the conventional CFAR detectors are carried out.The simulation results show that the strong reverberation can make the shape parameter of the interfering K-distributed data become smaller than that of the original K-distributed data.While the FSNP can suppress the strong reverberation,increase the shape parameter value,and improve the performance of the shape parameter estimator and the CFAR detector.XU Yanwei YAN Shefeng MA Xiaochuan XU Da 2016Chinese Journal of Acoustics2016,35,4:1
