| 2 | Preliminary Results of In-situ Stress Measurements along the Longmenshan Fault Zone after the Wenchuan M_s 8.0 Earthquake显示文摘Four months after the Wenchuan M_s 8 earthquake in western Sichuan,China,in situ stress measurements were carried out along the Longmenshan fault zone with the purpose of obtaining stress parameters for earthquake hazard assessment.In-situ stresses were measured in three new boreholes by using overcoring with the piezomagnetic stress gauges for shallow depths and hydraulic fracturing for lower depths.The maximum horizontal stress in shallow depths(~20 m) is about 4.3 MPa,oriented N19°E,in the epicenter area at Yingxiu Town,about 9.7 MPa,oriented N51°W,at Baoxing County in the southwestern Longmenshan range,and about 2.6 MPa,oriented N39°E,near Kangding in the southernmost zone of the Longmenshan range.Hydraulic fracturing at borehole depths from 100 to 400 m shows a tendency towards increasing stress with depth.A comparison with the results measured before the Wenchuan earthquake along the Longmenshan zone and in the Tibetan Plateau demonstrates that the stress level remains relatively high in the southwestern segment of the Longmenshan range,and is still moderate in the epicenter zone.These results provide a key appraisal for future assessment of earthquake hazards of the Longmenshan fault zone and the aftershock occurrences of the Wenchuan earthquake. | WU Manlu ZHANG Yueqiao LIAO Chunting CHEN Qunce MA Yinsheng WU Jinsheng YAN Junfeng OU Mingyi | 2009 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,4: | 31 |

| 5 | Ability of multicellular salt glands in Tamarix species to secrete Na^+ and K^+ selectively显示文摘The present study aimed to determine the mechanism of cation-selective secretion by multicellular salt glands.Using a hydroponic culture system,the secretion and accumulation of Na+ and K+ in Tamarix ramosissima and T.laxa under different salt stresses (NaCl,KCl and NaCl+KCl) were studied.Additionally,the effects of salt gland inhibitors (orthovanadate,Ba2+,ouabain,tetraethylammonium (TEA) and verapamil) on Na+ and K+ secretion and accumulation were examined.Treatment with NaCl (at 0-200 mmol L 1 levels) significantly increased Na+ secretion,whereas KCl treatment (at 0-200 mmol L 1 levels) significantly increased K+ secretion.The ratio of secretion to accumulation of Na+ was higher than that of K+.The changes in Na+ and K+ secretion differed after adding different ions into the single-salt solutions.Addition of NaCl to the KCl solution (at 100 mmol L 1 level,respectively) led to a significant decrease in K+ secretion rate,whereas addition of KCl to the NaCl solution (at 100 mmol L 1 level,respectively) had little impact on the Na+ secretion rate.These results indicated that Na+ secretion in Tamarix was highly selective.In addition,Na+ secretion was significantly inhibited by orthovanadate,ouabain,TEA and verapamil,and K+ secretion was significantly inhibited by ouabain,TEA and verapamil.The different impacts of orthovanadate on Na+ and K+ secretion might be the primary cause for the different Na+ and K+ secretion abilities of multicellular salt glands in Tamarix. | MA HaiYan TIAN ChangYan FENG Gu YUAN JunFeng | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,3: | 7 |

| 7 | Preparation and characteristics of flexible all-organic thin-film field-effect transistor显示文摘All-organic thin-film field-effect transistor was prepared on flexible poly(ethylene-terephthalate) (PET) substrate. Poly(methyl-methacrylate) (PMMA) and pentacene are used as a dielectric layer and a semiconductor layer, respectively. The hole mobility of the transistor can reach 2.10×10-2 cm2/Vs, and the on/off current ratio was larger than 105. The performances of the transistor, when the substrate is cured under different radius, were also measured. | 8 | A novel organic-inorganic hybrid monolith for trypsin immobilization显示文摘In proteomics, attention has focused on various immobilized enzyme reactors (IMERs) for the realization of high throughput digestion. In this report, a novel organic-inorganic hybrid monolith based IMER was prepared in a 100 μm i.d. capillary with 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GLYMO) as the monomer and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) as the crosslinker. Trypsin immobilization was achieved via the reaction between vicinal diol groups, which were obtained from hydrolysis of epoxy groups, and the amino groups of trypsin. Bovine serum albumin was digested thoroughly by this IMER in 47 s. After micro-reverse phase liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (μRPLC-MS/MS) analysis and database searching, beyond 35% sequence coverage was obtained, and the result was comparable to that of 12 h in solution digestion. | 9 | Effects of extracts from Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) on excisional wound healing in a rat's model显示文摘OBJEVTIVE: To investigate the effects of extracts from Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) on the excisional wound healing in a rat's model.METHODS: Rats were performed a surgical lesion with a 2.0 cm resected tissue in the dorsal fascia.Following, animals were randomly divided into model group, YNB group and APE group those were respectively treated with saline, 1 mg/mL of Yunnan Baiyao and 1 mg/mL of Chuanwu(Aconitum Carmichaelii) and Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae) extracts. Wound contractions in days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 21 were calculated by an image analyzer. Histological analysis was analyzed using hematoxilin and eosin.Levels of tumor necrosis factor-2(IL-2), IL-4, IL-10, transformαin(TNF-g growα), interleukinth factor-1(TGF-nd basic fibroblast growth factor(bFββ1) a-GF) were determined by real-time quantitative PCR.RESULTS: Compared with that of YNB group and APE gtoup, the skin of rats showed poor re-modeling and re-epithelization characterized by a significant decrease of neovascularization, epithelialization and fibroblast in the model group. | 10 | Extranodal involvement in young patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: distribution, prognostic value and treatment options显示文摘Objective: Extranodal involvement represents a peculiar presentation of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL). Previous studies have suggested that older patients are more prone to extranodal involvement. This study retrospectively addressed the distribution, prognostic value and treatment options of extranodal involvement in young patients with DLBCL.Methods: A total of 329 patients were enrolled according to the inclusion requirements. The effects of gender,extranodal involvement, age-adjusted international prognostic index(aa IPI), rituximab infusion and radiotherapy on patient outcomes were evaluated.Results: Among these patients, 59% presented extranodal involvement in 16 anatomic sites. More than one instance was linked to many poorer clinical characteristics and poorer survival compared with either nodal disease or one instance. In patients with one extranodal lesion, multivariate analysis revealed that the site of extranodal involvement, but not the aa IPI or rituximab infusion, was independently related to the outcome, and radiotherapy had a negative influence on survival.Conclusions: Extranodal involvement is common in younger patients and exhibits a ubiquitous distribution.The site of extranodal involvement is of strong prognostic significance. | 11 | Performance improvement approaches for optical fiber SPR sensors and their sensing applications显示文摘Optical fiber surface plasmon resonance(SPR) sensors point toward promising application potential in the fields of biomarker detection,food allergen screening,and environmental monitoring due to their unique advantages.This review outlines approaches in improving the fiber SPR sensing performance,e.g.,sensitivity,detection accuracy,reliability,cross-sensitivity,selectivity,convenience and efficiency,and corresponding sensing applications.The sensing principles of SPR sensors,especially the performance indicators and their influencing factors,have been introduced.Current technologies for improving the fiber SPR performance and their application scenarios are then reviewed from the aspects of fiber substrate,intrinsic layer(metal layer),and surface nanomaterial modification.Reasonable design of the substrate can strengthen the evanescent electromagnetic field and realize the multi-parameter sensing,and can introduce the in situ sensing self-compensation,which allows corrections for errors induced by temperature fluctuation,non-specific binding,and external disturbances.The change of the intrinsic layer can adjust the column number,the penetration depth,and the propagation distance of surface plasmon polaritons.This can thereby promote the capability of sensors to detect the large-size analytes and can reduce the full width at half-maximum of SPR curves.The modification of various-dimensionality nanomaterials on the sensor surfaces can heighten the overlap integral of the electromagnetic field intensity in the analyte region and can strengthen interactions between plasmons and excitons as well as interactions between analyte molecules and metal surfaces.Moreover,future directions of fiber SPR sensors are prospected based on the important and challenging problems in the development of fiber SPR sensors. | JIANYING JING KUN LIU JUNFENG JIANG TIANHUA XU SHUANG WANG JINYING MA ZHAO ZHANG WENLIN ZHANG TIEGEN LIU | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,1: | 3 |
| 12 | Solvent-and metal-directed lanthanide-organic frameworks based on pamoic acid:observation of slow magnetization relaxation,magnetocaloric effect and luminescent sensing显示文摘Two types of lanthanide coordination polymers, namely, [Ln(PA)(NO_3)(DMA)_3]_n(Ln=Gd(1), Dy(2), Eu(3), Tb(4))(type I), and {[Ln_2(PA)_3(DMF)_4]·2DMF}(Ln=Eu(5), Tb(6))(type II)(PA=Pamoic acid, DMA=dimethylacetamide,DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide), have been synthesized by the reaction of Ln(NO_3)_3·6H_2O with pamoic acid through layer diffusion method. These complexes were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy(IR),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), fluorescence and magnetic measurements. Solvents and lanthanide atoms in the reaction play an important role in controlling different structures. Type I demonstrated 1-D linear chain structure connected by Ln atoms and PA ligands. Type II exhibited non-interpenetrating 3-D 6-connected 4_36^(12) nets based on binuclear [Ln_2(CO_2)_6(DMF)_4] cores.Magnetic properties of complexes 1–4 were investigated in details. Complex 1 shows significant magnetocaloric effect with–ΔS_m=20.37 J kg^(–1) K^(–1) at 3.0 K and 7 T. Complex 2 exhibits slow relaxation of the magnetization. Complexes 3–6 exhibit both ligand- and metal-centered fluorescent properties. | 13 | Role of Eclipta prostrata extract in improving spatial learning and memory deficits in D-galactose-induced aging in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the role of Eclipta prostrata (E. prostrata) extract in improving spatial learning and memory deficits in D-galactose-induced aging in rats. METHODS: Rats were divided into five groups, with 10 animals in each group. Aging rats were produced by treatment with 100 mg·kg-1·d-1 of D-galactose for 6 weeks. Rats in the E. prostrata treatment groups received an aqueous extract of E. prostrata orally at a concentration of 50, 100, or 200 mg·kg-1· d-1 for 3 weeks. Animals in both the normal and model groups were treated with similar volumes of saline. Spatial memory performance was measured using the Morris water maze. The mRNA levels and enzyme activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione reductase (GR) were analyzed using real- time quantitative PCR and spectrophotometry,respectively. The levels of induced nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), nitric oxide (NO), dopamine (DA), norepinephrine (NE), and serotonin (5-HT) were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and spectrophotometry. RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, rats in the D-galactose-treated model group exhibited significant memory loss. There was severe damage to the hippocampal CA1 area, and expression levels of SOD, CAT, GPx, and GR were significantly decreased in the model group compared with the normal group. In the model group, levels of iNOS and NO were significantly increased compared with the normal group. However, treatment with E. prostrata extract reversed the conditions caused by D-galactose- induced aging, especially in the groups with higher treatment concentrations. Compared with the normal group, the levels of DA, NE, and 5-HT were significantly lower in the D-galactose-treated model group. In the E. prostrata extract-treated groups, however, there was a dose-dependent upregulation of DA, NE, and 5-HT expression. CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that administration of E. prostrata extract can result in an improvement in the learning and memory impairments that are induced by D-galactose treatment in rats. | 15 | Structural deformation, metallogenic epoch and genetic mechanism of the Woxi Au-Sb-W deposit, Western Hunan Province, South China显示文摘The remobilization,migration,precipitation,and enrichment of ore-forming elements are closely related to structures.Therefore,detailed regional and ore-field structural analyses are critical for determining the genesis of a mineral deposit.The Jiangnan Orogenic Belt(JOB)is an important gold polymetallic metallogenic belt in South China,which is characterized by multiple periods of gold mineralization in the Paleozoic and Mesozoic.However,the genesis of these gold polymetallic deposits is still not well understood due to a lack of systematic research on the regional geology,ore-controlling structures and metallogenic mechanism.In this study,a detailed structural survey at the surface and in the subsurface tunnels was conducted on the Woxi Au-Sb-W deposit,the genesis of which is relatively controversial among the gold polymetallic deposits in the JOB due to poor structural constraints.In addition,a wolframite U-Pb dating was carried out to further constrain the relationship between structures and mineralization.Based on the results of these studies,together with those from previous studies,it is proposed that the Woxi deposit and surrounding areas likely underwent six periods of regional deformation,which are constrained in time and geodynamic setting.Furthermore,we present a systematic discussion on the roles of ore-controlling structures in the transportation,distribution,and deposition of ore-forming elements and localization of orebodies.According to the wolframite dating results,structural analyses,and previous data,we propose that the Woxi Au-Sb-W deposit was formed in two stages during the Yanshanian:a W(wolframite)-Au mineralization stage at ca.140 Ma and an Au-Sb-W(scheelite)mineralization stage at<130 Ma.These mineralizing events are interpreted to have a tight relationship with tectonic reactivation,and the ore-forming fluids were derived from deep sources,including those of magmatic or metamorphic origins.The Woxi deposit can therefore be classified as an“intracontinental reactivation-type”,and the mineralization is related to lithospheric extension caused by plate retreat,retention,and delamination following the cessation of westward subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate beneath the East Asian continent. | Bin LI Deru XU Daoyuan BAI Guoxiang CHI Junfeng DAI Cheng GAO Teng DENG Shaohao ZOU Wen MA Guojian WANG Yuexin LING Guangqian ZENG Yinmin LI | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,12: | 2 |

It is worthy of noting that this technique may be a potential way for the purification of refractory and highly toxic organics in water for hydrogen production. Hazardous organics (such as phenol, aniline, nitrobenzene, tetrahydrofuran (THF), toluene, N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and cyclohexanol) in water could be completely de-graded into H2 and CO2 with high selectivity over Raney Ni, and Sn-modified Raney Ni (Sn-Raney-Ni) or Pd/C catalyst under mild conditions. The experimental results operated in tubular and autoclave reactors, indicated that the degradation degree of organics and H2 selectivity could reach 100% under the optimal reaction conditions. | 18 | Reactive sintering of B4C-TaB2 ceramics via carbide boronizing:Reaction process, microstructure and mechanical properties显示文摘Carbide boronizing is a promising approach to obtain fine grained boron carbide based ceramics with improved mechanical properties. In this work, reaction process, microstructural characteristics and mechanical properties of BxC-TaB2(x = 3.7, 4.9, 7.1) ceramics were comprehensively investigated via this method. Dense BxC-TaB2 ceramics with refined microstructure were obtained from submicro tantalum carbide and boron powder mixtures at 1800℃/50 MPa/5 min by spark plasma sintering. The stoichiometry of boron carbide was determined from lattice parameters and Raman shift. It was found that uniformly distributed TaB2 grains in the BxC matrix is favor of the densification process and restricting grain growth.Besides, planar defects with high density were observed from the as-formed B7.1 C grains and transient stress was considered to contribute to the densification involved with plastic deformation. Microstructural observations indicate the dissolution of oxygen in the TaB2 lattice and most of the B7.1 C/TaB2 phase boundaries were clean. | 19 | Characteristics of bleaching of sandstone in northeast of Ordos Basin and its relationship with natural gas leakage显示文摘Bleaching of sandstone has significant applications to tracing hydrocarbon pathways and evaluating the scale of natural gas seepage. Bleaching of sandstones in the northeast of Ordos Basin is mainly distributed in the Mesozoic Yan'an Formation. Studying on petrology, major elements, REEs and trace elements of bleached sandstones and comparing with adjacent sandstones, combining with geologic-geochemical evidences of gas seepage in the northeast of the basin, the bleached sandstones are formed in the acid environment and reducing fluids. Characteristics of petrology show that the contents of kaolinite are high and the color of margin of ferric oxide minerals is lighter than that of the center. Major elements of sandstone samples show high contents of Al2O3 and low ratio of Fe3+/Fe2+. The TFe2O3 content of the bleached sandstone is lower than that of red rock. REE data show that bleached sandstones have low ∑REE contents and Eu-depleted and slightly Ce-enriched. Trace elements show that the bleached sandstones enrich in Co, deplete in Sr, and slightly enrich in Zr and Hf which are close to the values for the green alteration sandstones, and slightly lower than ore-bearing sandstones. Geochemical characteristics of oil-bearing sandstone in the northern basin suggest that the oil-shows are formed by matured Carboniferous-Permian coal bed methane escaping to the surface, and natural gas in field could migrate to the north margin of the basin. The δ13C (PDB) andδ18O(PDB) values of calcite cement in the study area range from -11.729‰ to -10.210‰ and -14.104‰ to -12.481‰, respectively. Theδ13C (PDB) values less than -10‰ imply the carbon sources part from organic carbon.
