1Review on long-period stacking-ordered structures in Mg-Zn-RE alloys显示文摘The recent development of high-strength magnesium alloys is focused on the role of the strengthening phases with a novel long-period stacking-ordered (LPSO) structure. This review detailed the main factors influencing the formation of LPSO phases, including alloying ele-ments, preparation methods, and heat treatments. Furthermore, process control in structure types, formation and transformation behavior, strengthening and toughening mechanisms of the LPSO phase were discussed. 2Long-distance ranging with high precision using a soliton microcomb显示文摘Laser-based light detection and ranging(lidar)plays a significant role in both scientific and industrial areas.However,it is difficult for existing lidars to achieve high speed,high precision,and long distance simultaneously.Here,we demonstrate a high-performance lidar based on a chip-scaled soliton microcomb(SMC)that can realize all three specialties simultaneously.Aided by the excellent properties of ultrahigh repetition rate and the smooth envelope of the SMC,traditional optical frequency comb(OFC)-based dispersive interferometry is heavily improved and the measuring dead zone induced by the mismatch between the repetition rate of the OFC and resolution of the optical spectrum analyzer is totally eliminated.Combined with an auxiliary dual-frequency phase-modulated laser range finder,the none-dead-zone measurable range ambiguity is extended up to 1500 m.The proposed SMC lidar is experimentally implemented in both indoor and outdoor environment.In the outdoor baseline field,real-time,high-speed(up to 35 k Hz)measurement of a long distance of^1179 m is achieved with a minimum Allan deviation of 5.6μm at an average time of 0.2 ms(27 nm at an average time of 1.8 s after high-pass filtering).The present SMC lidar approaches a compact,fast,high-precision,and none-dead zone long-distance ranging system,aimed at emerging applications of frontier basic scientific research and advances in industrial manufacturing.JINDONG WANG ZHIZHOU LU WEIQIANG WANG FUMIN ZHANG JIAWEI CHEN YANG WANG JIHUI ZHENG SAI T.CHU WEI ZHAO BRENT E.LITTLE XINGHUA QU WENFU ZHANG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,12:8

4Integrative taxonomy of the Russet Bush Warbler Locustella mandelli complex reveals a new species from central China显示文摘Background: The Russet Bush Warbler Locustella(previously Bradypterus) mandelli complex occurs in mountains in the eastern Himalayas, southern China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The taxonomy has been debated,with one(L. seebohmi) to four(L. seebohmi, L. mandelli, L. montis and L. timorensis) species having been recognised.Methods: We used an integrative approach, incorporating analyses of morphology, vocalizations and a molecular marker, to re-evaluate species limits in the L. mandelli complex.Results: We found that central Chinese L. mandelli differed from those from India through northern Southeast Asia to southeast China in plumage, morphometrics and song. All were easily classified by song, and(wing + culmen)/tail ratio overlapped only marginally. Both groups were reciprocally monophyletic in a mitochondrial cytochrome b(cytb) gene tree, with a mean divergence of 1.0 ± 0.2%. They were sympatric and mostly altitudinally segregated in the breeding season in southern Sichuan province. We found that the Mt Victoria(western Myanmar) population differed vocally from other L. mandelli, but no specimens are available. Taiwan Bush Warbler L. alishanensis was sister to the L. mandelli complex, with the most divergent song. Plumage, vocal and cytb evidence supported the distinctness of the south Vietnamese L. mandelli idonea. The Timor Bush Warbler L. timorensis, Javan Bush Warbler L.montis and Benguet Bush Warbler L. seebohmi differed distinctly in plumage, but among-population song variation in L. montis exceeded the differences between some populations of these taxa, and mean pairwise cytb divergences were only 0.5–0.9%. We also found that some L. montis populations differed morphologically.Conclusions: We conclude that the central Chinese population of Russet Bush Warbler represents a new species,which we describe herein, breeding at mid elevations in Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei, Hunan and Guizhou provinces.The taxonomic status of the other allopatric populations is less clear. However, as they differ to a degree comparable with that of the sympatric L. mandelli and the new species, we elevate L. idonea to species status, and retain L. seebohmi and L. montis as separate species, the latter with timorensis as a subspecies. 5Study on sulphide capacity of CaO-SiO_2-Al_2O_3-MgO-Fe_tO slags显示文摘The sulphide capacity of CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-MgO-FetO slags was studied at 1773 K using gas-slag equilibrium techniques. Utilizing a Pt crucible, the slag was equilibrated with a mixture of gases, namely, CO, CO2, SO2 and N2 to provide the partial pressure of oxygen and sulphur. It was shown that at fixed FetO and Al2O3 contents and a fixed {(%CaO)+(%MgO)}/(%SiO2) ratio, the sulphide capacity decreases with increasing MgO content. At a constant (%CaO)/(%SiO2) ratio and constant MgO and Al2O3 contents, increas- ing the FetO content of the slags also results in an increase of the sulphide capacity. 6Enhanced biodegradation behavior of ultrafne-grained ZE41A magnesium alloy in Hank's solution显示文摘The biodegradation behavior of an ultrafne-grained(UFG) magnesium alloy ZE41A containing rare-earth(RE),obtained through multi-pass of equal channel angular pressing(EACP),was investigated by electrochemical measurements in Hank's solution.The highest value of charge transfer resistance was obtained in the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy plots of the ECAPed samples with the largest pressing pass,while a movement of corrosion potential toward noble direction and a decrement of corrosion current density were observed in the potentiodynamic polarization curves of the ECAPed samples with further pressing passes.These results indicated that ECAP could be an effcient way to reduce the biodegradation rate of the ZE41A alloy.Fan Zhang Aibin Ma Jinghua Jiang Honglu Xu Dan Song Fumin Lu Yoshinori Nishida 2013Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,4:2

16Typhoon disaster risk zoning for China’s coastal area显示文摘Previous studies on typhoon disaster risk zoning in China have focused on individual provinces or small-scale areas and lack county-level results.In this study,typhoon disaster risk zoning is conducted for China’s coastal area,based on data at the county level.Using precipitation and wind data for China and typhoon disaster and social data at the county level for China’s coastal area from 2004 to 2013,first we analyze the characteristics of typhoon disasters in China’s coastal area and then develop an intensity index of factors causing typhoon disasters and a comprehensive social vulnerability index.Finally,by combining the two indices,we obtain a comprehensive risk index for typhoon disasters and conduct risk zoning.The results show that the maximum intensity areas are mainly the most coastal areas of both Zhejiang and Guangdong,and parts of Hainan Island,which is similar to the distribution of typhoon disasters.The maximum values of vulnerability in the northwest of Guangxi,parts of Fujian coastal areas and parts of the Shandong Peninsula.The comprehensive risk index generally decreases from coastal areas to inland areas.The high-risk areas are mainly distributed over Hainan Island,south-western Guangdong,most coastal Zhejiang,the coastal areas between Zhejiang and Fujian and parts of the Shandong Peninsula.Jing ZHU Yi LU Fumin REN John L McBRIDE Longbin YE 2022Frontiers of Earth Science2022,16,2:0
17Multi-feature weight factor extraction and survival risk assessment of hepatocellular carcinoma based on a clinical missing dataset-independent support vector machine显示文摘Background:In clinical datasets,the characteristics of an individual patient vary so much that data loss becomes a normal event,which may be a unignorable dilemma in clinical data analysis.Therefore,the construction of a machine learning model aimed at missing clinical datasets(MCD)is of great clinical importance.Methods:All included patients were divided into two groups according to outcome within a period of up to 36 months or less.The following characteristics(variables)were collected:age,sex,Child-Pugh status,hepatitis status,cirrhosis status,treatment,tumor size,portal vein tumor thrombus,and alpha fetoprotein(μg/mL),and a missing dataset-independent support vector machine(MDI-SVM)independent of missing data was built for the analysis.Results:A MCD-independent SVM was developed based on clinical data from 1334 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)at a single center,which had an accuracy of 84.43%in the survival analysis in the presence of 5%missing data.Based on the different combinations of features,our model calculated five features(tumor size,age,treatment,hepatitis status,and alpha fetoprotein)that had the greatest impact on survival in patients with HCC and extracted their weighting factors.Conclusions:A MCD-independent SVM was developed to achieve prognosis prediction for patients with HCC in the absence of first-visit data.Fumin Wang Nan Zhang Xiaoning Wu Wei Zhang Qiang Lu Rongqian Wu Xu-Feng Zhang Hui Guo Yi Lv 2022iLIVER2022,1,3:0
