1Review on long-period stacking-ordered structures in Mg-Zn-RE alloys显示文摘The recent development of high-strength magnesium alloys is focused on the role of the strengthening phases with a novel long-period stacking-ordered (LPSO) structure. This review detailed the main factors influencing the formation of LPSO phases, including alloying ele-ments, preparation methods, and heat treatments. Furthermore, process control in structure types, formation and transformation behavior, strengthening and toughening mechanisms of the LPSO phase were discussed. 3Changes in Regional Heavy Rainfall Events in China during 1961–2012显示文摘A new technique for identifying regional climate events, the Objective Identification Technique for Regional Extreme Events(OITREE), was applied to investigate the characteristics of regional heavy rainfall events in China during the period1961–2012. In total, 373 regional heavy rainfall events(RHREs) were identified during the past 52 years. The East Asian summer monsoon(EASM) had an important influence on the annual variations of China's RHRE activities, with a significant relationship between the intensity of the RHREs and the intensity of the Mei-yu. Although the increase in the frequency of those RHREs was not significant, China experienced more severe and extreme regional rainfall events in the 1990 s. The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the northern part of South China were the regions in the country most susceptible to extreme precipitation events. Some stations showed significant increasing trends in the southern part of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the northern part of South China, while parts of North China, regions between Guangxi and Guangdong, and northern Sichuan showed decreasing trends in the accumulated intensity of RHREs.The spatial distribution of the linear trends of events' accumulated intensity displayed a similar so-called 'southern flooding and northern drought' pattern over eastern China in recent decades.ZOU Xukai REN Fumin 2015Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2015,32,5:11
4TOLERANCE ANALYSIS OF A PLANETARY GEAR REDUCER UNDER CAD CIRCUMSTANCE显示文摘Tolerance analysis of a planetary reducer is conducted. By focusing the serially-arrangedparts in the central line and setting an appropriate dimension as a 'gap', worst-case tolerance analysismethod and statistical (RSS) tolerance analysis are used, and then a tolerance-analyzing tool CE/TOLis introduced. The acceptable value range of the 'gap' is from 1.5 mm to 3.5 mm. 5The Optimization of Ultrasonic Extraction Process of Total Flavonoids from Rhodiola Crenulata by Response Surface Method显示文摘[Objectives]To study the optimal extraction process of total flavonoids in Rhodiola rosea L.,and further facilitate the development and utilization of Rhodiola rosea L. [Methods]With Rhodiola crenulata as raw material,ethanol as extractant,ultrasonic extraction as the extraction method,the single factor method was first used for preliminary investigation of effect of ethanol volume fraction,solid-liquid ratio,extraction temperature and extraction time on the flavonoids extraction rate,and then the Box-Behnken response surface method was used to optimize the extraction process of total flavonoids in R. crenulata. [Results] The optimal extraction conditions: ethanol concentration of 72%;solid-liquid ratio of 1∶ 43; extraction temperature of 66℃; extraction time of 50 min. Under these conditions,the extraction rate of total flavonoids from R. crenulata was 2. 591%. 6Control of Bird Feeding Behavior by Tannin1 through Modulating the Biosynthesis of Polyphenols and Fatty Acid-Derived Volatiles in Sorghum显示文摘Bird predation during seed maturation causes great loss to agricultural production.In this study,through GWAS analysis of a large-scale sorghum germplasm diversity panel,we identified that Tannin1,which encodes a WD40 protein functioning in the WD40/MYB/bHLH complex,controls bird feeding behavior in sorghum.Metabolic profiling analysis showed that a group of sorghum accessions preferred by birds contain mutated tan1-a/b alleles and accumulate significantly lower levels of anthocyanins and condensed tannin compounds.In contrast,a variety of aromatic and fatty acid-derived volatiles accumulate at significantly higher levels in these bird-preference accessions.We subsequently conducted both sparrow feeding and sparrow volatile attractant assays,which confirmed,respectively,the antifeedant and attractant functions of these differentially accumulated metabolites.In addition,the connection between the biosynthesis pathway of anthocyanin and proanthocyanidin and the pathway of fatty acid–derived volatile biosynthesis was demonstrated by discovering that Tannin1 complex modulates fatty acid biosynthesis by regulating the expression of SbGL2 in sorghum,thus affecting the accumulation of fatty acid-derived volatiles.Taken together,our study identified Tannin1 as the gene underlying the major locus controlling bird feeding behavior in sorghum,illustrating an example of the identification of an ecologically impactful molecular mechanism from field observation and providing significant insights into the chemistry of bird–plant ecological interactions.Peng Xie Jiayang Shi Sanyuan Tang Chengxuan Chen Aimal Khan Fengxia Zhang Ying Xiong Chao Li Wei He Guodong Wang Fumin Lei Yaorong Wu Qi Xie 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,10:8
7Long-distance ranging with high precision using a soliton microcomb显示文摘Laser-based light detection and ranging(lidar)plays a significant role in both scientific and industrial areas.However,it is difficult for existing lidars to achieve high speed,high precision,and long distance simultaneously.Here,we demonstrate a high-performance lidar based on a chip-scaled soliton microcomb(SMC)that can realize all three specialties simultaneously.Aided by the excellent properties of ultrahigh repetition rate and the smooth envelope of the SMC,traditional optical frequency comb(OFC)-based dispersive interferometry is heavily improved and the measuring dead zone induced by the mismatch between the repetition rate of the OFC and resolution of the optical spectrum analyzer is totally eliminated.Combined with an auxiliary dual-frequency phase-modulated laser range finder,the none-dead-zone measurable range ambiguity is extended up to 1500 m.The proposed SMC lidar is experimentally implemented in both indoor and outdoor environment.In the outdoor baseline field,real-time,high-speed(up to 35 k Hz)measurement of a long distance of^1179 m is achieved with a minimum Allan deviation of 5.6μm at an average time of 0.2 ms(27 nm at an average time of 1.8 s after high-pass filtering).The present SMC lidar approaches a compact,fast,high-precision,and none-dead zone long-distance ranging system,aimed at emerging applications of frontier basic scientific research and advances in industrial manufacturing.JINDONG WANG ZHIZHOU LU WEIQIANG WANG FUMIN ZHANG JIAWEI CHEN YANG WANG JIHUI ZHENG SAI T.CHU WEI ZHAO BRENT E.LITTLE XINGHUA QU WENFU ZHANG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,12:8
8The role of climate factors in geographic variation in body mass and wing length in a passerine bird显示文摘Background: Geographic variation in body size is assumed to reflect adaptation to local environmental conditions. Although Bergmann's rule is usually sufficient to explain such variation in homeotherms, some exceptions have been documented. The relationship between altitude, latitude and body size, has been well documented for some vertebrate taxa during the past decades. However, relatively little information is available on the effects of climate variables on body size in birds.Methods: We collected the data of 267 adult Eurasian Tree Sparrow(Passer montanus) specimens sampled at 48 localities in China's mainland, and further investigated the relationships between two response variables, body mass and wing length, as well as a suit of explanatory variables, i.e. altitude, latitude, mean annual temperature(MAT), annual precipitation(PRC), annual sunshine hours(SUN), average annual wind speed(WS), air pressure(AP) and relative humidity(RH).Results: Our study showed that(1) although the sexes did not differ significantly in body mass, males had longer wings than females;(2) body mass and wing length were positively correlated with altitude but not with latitude;(3) body mass and wing length were negatively correlated with AP and RH, but not significantly correlated with WS. Body mass was positively correlated with SUN and inversely correlated with MAT. Wing length was not correlated with MAT in either sex, but was positively correlated with SUN and negatively correlated with PRC in male sparrows;(4) variation in body mass could be best explained by AP and SUN, whereas variation in wing length could be explained by RH and AP in both sexes. In addition, variation in male sparrows can be explained by SUN, WS and PRC but not in females.Conclusions: Two different proxies of body size, body mass and wing length, correlated with same geographic factors and different climate factors. 9Common-anode LED on a Si substrate for beyond 15 Gbit/s underwater visible light communication显示文摘Visible light communication based on light-emitting diodes(LEDs) has become a promising candidate by providing high data rates, low latency, and secure communication for underwater environments. In this paper,a self-designed common-anode GaN-based five-primary-color LED(RGBYC LED) on a Si substrate is proposed and fabricated. The design of a common anode is used to mitigate the saturation effect for a low-frequency component. Additionally, compared with commercially available LEDs that suffer from nonlinearity distortion,applying the designed LED can provide much better and broader linearity according to the measurement results.Therefore, the modulation depth and system performance can be further improved to implement a high-speed underwater visible light communication(UVLC) system. There is no nonlinearity compensation algorithm applied due to the good linearity of the proposed LED;thus, the offline digital signal processing is simplified. 10Characteristics and Preliminary Causes of Tropical Cyclone Extreme Rainfall Events over Hainan Island显示文摘The characteristics of tropical cyclone(TC) extreme rainfall events over Hainan Island from 1969 to 2014 are analyzed from the viewpoint of the TC maximum daily rainfall(TMDR) using daily station precipitation data from the Meteorological Information Center of the China Meteorological Administration, TC best-track data from the Shanghai Typhoon Institute,and NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data. The frequencies of the TMDR reaching 50, 100 and 250 mm show a decreasing trend[-0.7(10 yr)^(-1)], a weak decreasing trend [-0.2(10 yr)^(-1)] and a weak increasing trend [0.1(10 yr)^(-1)], respectively. For seasonal variations, the TMDR of all intensity grades mainly occurs from July to October, with the frequencies of TMDR 50 mm and 100 mm peaking in September and the frequency of TMDR 250 mm [TC extreme rainstorm(TCER) events]peaking in August and September. The western region(Changjiang) of the Island is always the rainfall center, independent of the intensity or frequencies of different intensity grades. The causes of TCERs are also explored and the results show that topography plays a key role in the characteristics of the rainfall events. TCERs are easily induced on the windward slopes of Wuzhi Mountain, with the coordination of TC tracks and TC wind structure. A slower speed of movement, a stronger TC intensity and a farther westward track are all conducive to extreme rainfall events. A weaker northwestern Pacific subtropical high is likely to make the 500-h Pa steering flow weaker and results in slower TC movement, whereas a stronger South China Sea summer monsoon can carry a higher moisture flux. 11An Efficient Real-Time Fault-Tolerant Scheduling Algorithm Based on Multiprocessor Systems显示文摘In the context of real-time fault-tolerant scheduling in multi- processor systems, Primary-backup scheme plays an important role. A backup copy is always preferred to be executed as passive backup copy whenever possible because it can take the advantages of backup copy de-allocation technique and overloading technique to improve schedula- bility. In this paper, we propose a novel efficient fault-tolerant rate- monotonic best-fit algorithm efficient fault-tolerant rate-monotonic best-fit (ERMBF) based on multiprocessors systems to enhance the schedulability. Unlike existing scheduling algorithms that start schedul- ing tasks with only one processor. ERMBF pre-allocates a certain amount of processors before starting scheduling tasks, which enlarge the searching spaces for tasks. Besides, when a new processor is allocated, we reassign the task copies that have already been assigned to the exist- ing processors in order to find a superior tasks assignment configuration. These two strategies are all aiming at making as many backup copies as possible to be executed as passive status. As a result, ERMBF can use fewer processors to schedule a set of tasks without losing real-time and fault-tolerant capabilities of the system. 12Fe–Mn/MCM-41: Preparation,Characterization,and Catalytic Activity for Methyl Orange in the Process of Heterogeneous Fenton Reaction显示文摘Active Fe-and Mn-loaded MCM-41(Fe–Mn/MCM-41),which was synthesized via a hydrothermal reaction followed by impregnation,is used in the heterogeneous Fenton reaction to degrade methyl orange(MO) in aqueous solution. The synthesized samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,N_2 adsorption–desorption isotherm analysis,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Compared with Fe/MCM-41 and Mn/MCM-41,Fe–Mn/MCM-41 showed higher activity for MO degradation and mineralization. Effects of various operating parameters,such as pH,Mn content,and H_2O_2 dosage,on the degradation process were subsequently investigated. Results of experiments on the effect of radical scavengers revealed that the degradation of MO could be attributed to oxidation by HO_·. 15Micro structure and corrosion behavior of ALD AI2O3 film on AZ31 magnesium alloy with different surface roughness显示文摘There remains growing interest in magnesium(Mg)and its alloys,as they are the lightest structural metallic materials and potential metallic biomaterials.In spite of the greatest historical Mg usage at present,the wider use of Mg alloys remains restricted by the poor corrosion resistance.A nano amorphous film,as the composition of Al2O3,had now been deposited on the AZ31 Mg alloy substrate by atomic layer deposition(ALD).Grazing incidence X-ray diffraction(GIXRD),X-ray reflectivity(XRR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),atomic force microscope(AFM)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)had been employed to identify the chemical compositions,microstructure and Al2O3/Mg interface of specimens firstly.Then corrosion behavior had been evaluated by neutral salt spray test and electrochemical measurement.The results showed that nano amorphous film made a homogeneous cover on Mg alloy.The film could improve the corrosion resistance of Mg alloy greatly,not only with a positive shift in Ecorr and a decrease in icorr,but also with a more uniform corroded mode.Furthermore,the roughness was found to be an important factor for corrosion resistant,in the way that rougher surface was corroded worse,and greater improvement would be in corrosion resistant after nano amorphous film deposition.Fumin Xu Lan Luo Lei Xiong Yong Liu 2020Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2020,8,2:5
16Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 Clade 2.3.2.1c virus in migratory birds,2014–2015显示文摘A novel Clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 reassortant virus caused several outbreaks in wild birds in some regions of China from late 2014 to 2015.Based on the genetic and phylogenetic analyses,the viruses possess a stable gene constellation with a Clade 2.3.2.1c HA,a H9N2-derived PB2 gene and the other six genes of Asian H5N1-origin.The Clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 reassortants displayed a high genetic relationship to a human H5N1 strain(A/Alberta/01/2014).Further analysis showed that similar viruses have been circulating in wild birds in China,Russia,Dubai(Western Asia),Bulgaria and Romania(Europe),as well as domestic poultry in some regions of Africa.The affected areas include the Central Asian,East Asian-Australasian,West Asian-East African,and Black Sea/Mediterranean flyways.These results show that the novel Clade 2.3.2.1c reassortant viruses are circulating worldwide and may have gained a selective advantage in migratory birds,thus posing a serious threat to wild birds and potentially humans.Yuhai Bi Jianjun Chen Zhenjie Zhang Mingxin Li Tianlong Cai Kirill Sharshov Ivan Susloparov Alexander Shestopalov Gary Wong Yubang He Zhi Xing Jianqing Sun Di Liu Yingxia Liu Lei Liu Wenjun Liu Fumin Lei Weifeng Shi George F. 18Patterns of magpie nest utilization by a nesting raptor community in a secondary forest显示文摘For a total of 9 years,we examined the patterns of a nesting raptor community that utilized European Magpie(Pica pica) nests in the Zuojia Natural Reserve,northeast China.Eight raptor species and two other bird species were recorded nesting in magpie nests.The reuse rate of abandoned magpie nests was 51.6%,and the number of reused nests was positively correlated with their availability.Raptors utilized 83.3% of the reused abandoned magpie nests.Nests followed for more than 1 year were reused by raptors an average of 1.13 times.Inter-specific nest usurpation was common,with 17.3% of new magpie nests being usurped by raptors,and four cases of usurpation occurred among different raptor species.At the community level,8 of 11 raptor species took over magpie nests to breed in the study area,and 91.9% of their nests came from magpie nests.European Magpies represent the core species in the nest web of the local raptor community that utilizes magpie nests.At the forest stand level,closer proximity to forest edges and greater distances from occupied raptor nests were the best predictors of nest reuse.At the nest-site level,arbor density and canopy coverage were the best predictors of nest reuse.Tong Zhou Haitao Wang Yu Liu Fumin Lei Wei Gao 2009Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,10:5
19Integrative taxonomy of the Russet Bush Warbler Locustella mandelli complex reveals a new species from central China显示文摘Background: The Russet Bush Warbler Locustella(previously Bradypterus) mandelli complex occurs in mountains in the eastern Himalayas, southern China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The taxonomy has been debated,with one(L. seebohmi) to four(L. seebohmi, L. mandelli, L. montis and L. timorensis) species having been recognised.Methods: We used an integrative approach, incorporating analyses of morphology, vocalizations and a molecular marker, to re-evaluate species limits in the L. mandelli complex.Results: We found that central Chinese L. mandelli differed from those from India through northern Southeast Asia to southeast China in plumage, morphometrics and song. All were easily classified by song, and(wing + culmen)/tail ratio overlapped only marginally. Both groups were reciprocally monophyletic in a mitochondrial cytochrome b(cytb) gene tree, with a mean divergence of 1.0 ± 0.2%. They were sympatric and mostly altitudinally segregated in the breeding season in southern Sichuan province. We found that the Mt Victoria(western Myanmar) population differed vocally from other L. mandelli, but no specimens are available. Taiwan Bush Warbler L. alishanensis was sister to the L. mandelli complex, with the most divergent song. Plumage, vocal and cytb evidence supported the distinctness of the south Vietnamese L. mandelli idonea. The Timor Bush Warbler L. timorensis, Javan Bush Warbler L.montis and Benguet Bush Warbler L. seebohmi differed distinctly in plumage, but among-population song variation in L. montis exceeded the differences between some populations of these taxa, and mean pairwise cytb divergences were only 0.5–0.9%. We also found that some L. montis populations differed morphologically.Conclusions: We conclude that the central Chinese population of Russet Bush Warbler represents a new species,which we describe herein, breeding at mid elevations in Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei, Hunan and Guizhou provinces.The taxonomic status of the other allopatric populations is less clear. However, as they differ to a degree comparable with that of the sympatric L. mandelli and the new species, we elevate L. idonea to species status, and retain L. seebohmi and L. montis as separate species, the latter with timorensis as a subspecies. 20Application of Improved PSO-LSSVM on Network Threat Detection显示文摘To solve the problem of the design of classifier in network threat detection, we conduct a simulation experiment for the parameters' optimal on least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) using the classic PSO algorithm, and the experiment shows that uneven distribution of the initial particle swarm exerts a great impact on the results of LSSVM algorithm's classification. This article proposes an improved PSO-LSSVM algorithm based on Divide-and-Conquer (DCPSO- LSSVM) to split the optimal domain where the parameters of LSSVM are in. It can achieve the purpose of distributing the initial particles uniformly.
