1广西某地吸毒人群的吸毒行为和性行为定性研究显示文摘目的 了解吸毒者的吸毒行为发生的场合、形式和性行为方式以及他们的行为意识。方法在某地戒毒所和社区招募 2 5名吸毒者 ,对每名吸毒者单独进行深入访谈 ,每人约 2~ 3h,了解吸毒者的吸毒行为和性行为情况及行为意识。结果 多数吸毒者由口吸转为注射是为了减少经济负荷和寻求最高欣快感。少数不注射者自述其原因包括 :担心注射有害、过量致死、感染艾滋病。很多吸毒者知道艾滋病可以通过共用注射器和性交传播 ,但仍在夜间、人多而毒品不足或注射器不够的情况下共用注射器吸毒。吸毒者性乱普遍 ,女性吸毒者多数卖淫 ,发生性行为时很少使用安全套。结论 吸毒人群中高危注射毒品行为和高危性行为很普遍 ,他们已经有了一定的艾滋病知识 ,单纯的预防艾滋病宣传教育效果有限。为了控制艾滋病在这一人群中的传播 。明中强 梁绍玲 Lorraine Yap 刘伟 吴尊友 2002中华流行病学杂志2002,23,2:50
2美国市民农园的发展、功能及建设模式初探显示文摘市民农园就是由一群人在同一地块上开展耕种的社区活动场所。作为城市农业的重要形式之一,它已成为协调城市人地关系的一种有效途径,其发展日益受到人们关注。为借鉴国外城市农业发展经验,通过对洛杉矶14个市民农园营建模式进行调查和梳理,研究了美国市民农园的发展、功能、类型。结果得出:美国市民农园已有百年历史,对美国社会、经济和文化的发展影响深远;不仅具有生产、生态和景观功能,而且有较高社会文化价值;有多种营建模式,管理体系较为完善;用地属性多为公有,以种植食用植物为主;重视节约管理和有机种植;亦有诸如租约等弊端影响其长远发展。这对中国城市农业发展、绿地规划具有借鉴意义。李良涛 王文惠 Lorraine Weller 宇振荣 2011中国农学通报2011,27,33:23

4Platelet-rich plasma increases transforming growth factor-beta1 expression at graft-host interface following autologous osteochondral transplantation in a rabbit model显示文摘AIM: To explore the effect of platelet-rich plasma on protein expression patterns of transforming growth factor-beta1(TGF-β1) in cartilage following autologous osteochondral transplantation(AOT) in a rabbit knee cartilage defect model.METHODS: Twelve New Zealand white rabbits received bilateral AOT. In each rabbit, one knee was randomized to receive an autologous platelet rich plasma(PRP) injection and the contralateral knee received saline injection. Rabbits were euthanized at 3, 6 and 12 wk post-operatively. Articular cartilage sections were stained with TGF-β1 antibody. Histological regions of interest(ROI)(left, right and center of the autologous grafts interfaces) were evaluated using Meta Morph. Percentage of chondrocytes positive for TGF-β1 was then assessed.RESULTS: Percentage of chondrocytes positive for TGF-β1 was higher in PRP treated knees for selected ROIs(left; P = 0.03, center; P = 0.05) compared to control and was also higher in the PRP group at each post-operative time point(P = 6.6 × 10^(-4), 3.1 × 10^(-4) and 7.3 × 10^(-3) for 3, 6 and 12 wk, respectively). TGF-β1 expression was higher in chondrocytes of PRP-treated knees(36% ± 29% vs 15% ± 18%)(P = 1.8 × 10^(-6)) overall for each post-operative time point and ROI. CONCLUSION: Articular cartilage of rabbits treated with AOT and PRP exhibit increased TGF-β1 expression compared to those treated with AOT and saline. 8美国市民农园生态植被景观营建及其启示显示文摘美国市民农园是一个值得借鉴的兼具生产、生态和生活等多功能的植被景观模式,本研究针对市民农园的生态服务功能,依据市民农园结构模式及经营群体的不同,随机选取了洛杉矶市14个市民农园,采用样地调查、半结构式访谈等方法,基于植被物种功能组合和乡土植物组成,定量化研究了城市植被物种多样性及其分布格局对种植者族裔背景及营建模式等影响因素的响应,进而评析对我国城市绿地建设和休闲农业的启示。本研究共计调查到439种植物,分属90科,242属,分析结果显示:市民农园是城市生态系统中重要的物种库,能维护较为丰富的乡土植物资源;其植物功能以食用植物为主,观赏植物、药用植物次之,这在保护族裔传统文化、区域乡土文化具有重要价值;其植被景观结构和功能受到族裔背景及营建模式等不同程度影响。研究证明,市民农园作为生态多样性和文化多样性的交汇景观,是实现城镇绿色基础建设和休闲农业发展的重要营建模式。以此为经验,我国在进行绿地规划和生态植被建设时要考虑不同利益相关者,尤其是关注外来者的生活习俗和选择偏好;同时也要注意监测外来物种,以防造成物种入侵,这对于建设文化强国背景下开展城镇生态植被建设和发展休闲农业具有启示意义。李良涛 Lorraine Weller 陶渊渊 宇振荣 2012中国生态农业学报2012,20,7:3
9Endocrine radionuclide scintigraphy with fusion single photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography显示文摘AIM: To review the benefits of single photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)/computed tomography(CT) hybrid imaging for diagnosis of various endocrine disorders.METHODS: We performed MEDLINE and Pub Med searches using the terms: 'SPECT/CT'; 'functional anatomic mapping'; 'transmission emission tomography'; 'parathyroid adenoma'; 'thyroid cancer'; 'neuroendocrine tumor'; 'adrenal'; 'pheochromocytoma'; 'paraganglioma'; in order to identify relevant articles published in English during the years 2003 to 2015. Reference lists from the articles were reviewed to identify additional pertinent articles. Retrieved manuscripts(case reports, reviews, meta-analyses and abstracts) concerning the application of SPECT/CT to endocrine imaging were analyzed to provide a descriptive synthesis of the utility of this technology.RESULTS: The emergence of hybrid SPECT/CT camera technology now allows simultaneous acquisition of combined multi-modality imaging, with seamless fusion of three-dimensional volume datasets. The usefulness of combining functional information to depict the biodistribution of radiotracers that map cellular processes of the endocrine system and tumors of endocrine origin, with anatomy derived from CT, has improved the diagnostic capability of scintigraphy for a range of disorders of endocrine gland function. The literature describes benefits of SPECT/CT for ^(99m)Tc-sestamibi parathyroid scintigraphy and ^(99m)Tc-pertechnetate thyroid scintigraphy, ^(123)I- or ^(131)I-radioiodine for staging of differentiated thyroid carcinoma, ^(111)In- and ^(99m)Tclabeled somatostatin receptor analogues for detection of neuroendocrine tumors, ^(131)I-norcholesterol(NP-59) scans for assessment of adrenal cortical hyperfunction, and ^(123)I- or ^(131)I-metaiodobenzylguanidine imaging for evaluation of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma.CONCLUSION: SPECT/CT exploits the synergism between the functional information from radiopharmaceutical imaging and anatomy from CT, translating to improved diagnostic accuracy and meaningful impact on patient care.Ka-Kit Wong Arpit Gandhi Benjamin L Viglianti Lorraine M Fig Domenico Rubello Milton D Gross 2016World Journal of Radiology2016,8,6:3
10Gastrointestinal perforation in metastatic colorectal cancer patients with peritoneal metastases receiving bevacizumab显示文摘AIM:To investigate the safety and efficacy of adding bevacizumab to first-line chemotherapy in metastatic colorectal cancer patients with peritoneal disease.METHODS:We compared rates of gastrointestinal perforation in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer and peritoneal disease receiving first-line chemotherapy with and without bevacizumab in three distinct cohorts:(1) the AGITG MAX trial(Phase Ⅲ randomised clinical trial comparing capecitabine vs capecitabine and bevacizumab vs capecitabine,bevacizumab and mitomycin C);(2) the prospective Treatment of Recurrent and Advanced Colorectal Cancer(TRACC) registry(any first-line regimen ± bevacizumab);and(3) two cancer centres in New South Wales,Australia [Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre and Liverpool Cancer Therapy Centre(NSWCC) from January 2005 to Decenber 2012,(any first-line regimen ± bevacizumab).For the AGITG MAX trial capecitabine was compared to the other two arms(capecitabine/bevacizumab and capecitabine/bevacizumab/mitomycin C).In the AGITG MAX trial and the TRACC registry rates of gastrointestinal perforation were also collected in patients who did not have peritoneal metastases.Secondary endpoints included progression-free survival,chemotherapy duration,and overall survival.Time-toevent outcomes were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared using the log-rank test.RESULTS:Eighty-four MAX,179 TRACC and 69 NSWCC patients had peritoneal disease.There were no gastrointestinal perforations recorded in either the MAX subgroup or the NSWCC cohorts.Of the patients without peritoneal disease in the MAX trial,4/300(1.3%) in the bevacizumab arms had gastrointestinal perforations compared to 1/123(0.8%) in the capecitabine alone arm.In the TRACC registry 3/126(2.4%) patients who had received bevacizumab had a gastrointestinal perforation compared to 1/53(1.9%) in the chemotherapy alone arm.In a further analysis of patients without peritoneal metastases in the TRACC registry,the rate of gastrointestinal perforations was 9/369(2.4%) in the chemotherapy/bevacizumab group and 5/177(2.8%) in the chemotherapy alone group.The addition of bevacizumab to chemotherapy was associated with improved progression-free survival in all three cohorts:MAX 6.9 m vs 4.9 m,HR = 0.64(95%CI:0.42-1.02);P = 0.063;TRACC 9.1 m vs 5.5 m,HR = 0.61(95%CI:0.37-0.86);P = 0.009;NSWCC 8.7 m vs 6.8 m,HR = 0.75(95%CI:0.43-1.32);P = 0.32.Chemotherapy duration was similar across the groups.CONCLUSION:Patients with peritoneal disease do not appear to have an increased risk of gastrointestinal perforations when receiving first-line therapy with bevacizumab compared to systemic therapy alone.Aflah Roohullah Hui-Li Wong Katrin M Sjoquist Peter Gibbs Kathryn Field Ben Tran Jeremy Shapiro Joe Mckendrick Desmond Yip Louise Nott Val Gebski Weng Ng Wei Chua Timothy Price Niall Tebbutt Lorraine Chantrill 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,17:3
11Oxidative stress-induced mitochondrial dysfunction in a normal colon epithelial cell line显示文摘AIM To determine how a normal human colon cell line reacts to microbial challenge as a way to study oxidative stress-induced responses associated with inflammatory bowel disease.METHODS Normal human colon epithelial cells(ATCC?CRL.1790?)were stimulated with either heat killed E.coli or heat killed murine cecal contents(HKC)and examined for several relevant biomarkers associated with inflammation and oxidative stress including cytokine production,mitochondrial autophagy and oxidant status.TNFα,IL-1βand IL-8 protein concentrations were measured within the supernatants.Fluorescent microscopy was performed to quantify the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)using an oxidation responsive fluorogenic probe.Mitochondrial morphology and mitochondrial membrane potential was assessed by dual staining using COXIV antibody and a dye concentrating in active mitochondria.Mitochondrial ROS scavenger was used to determine the source of ROS in stimulated cells.Autophagy was detected by staining for the presence of autophagic vesicles.Positive controls for autophagy and ROS/RNS experiments were treated with rapamycin and chloroquine.Mitochondrial morphology,ROS production and autophagy microscopy experiments were analyzed using a custom acquisition and analysis microscopy software(Image J).RESULTS Exposing CRL.1790 cells to microbial challenge stimulated cells to produce several relevant biomarkers associated with inflammation and oxidative stress.Heat killed cecal contents treatment induced a 10-12fold increase in IL-8 production by CRL.1790 cells compared to unstimulated controls at 6 and 12 h(P<0.001).Heat killed E.coli stimulation resulted in a4-5 fold increase in IL-8 compared to the unstimulated control cells at each time point(P<0.001).Both heat killed E.coli and HKC stimulated robust ROS production at 6(P<0.001),and 12 h(P<0.01).Mitochondrial morphologic abnormalities were detected at 6 and12 h based on reduced mitochondrial circularity and decreased mitochondrial membrane potential,P<0.01.Microbial stimulation also induced significant autophagy at 6 and 12 h,P<0.01.Lastly,blocking mitochondrial ROS generation using mitochondrial specific ROS scavenger reversed microbial challenge induced mitochondrial morphologic abnormalities and autophagy.CONCLUSION The findings from this study suggest that CRL.1790cells may be a useful alternative to other colon cancer cell lines in studying the mechanisms of oxidative stress events associated with intestinal inflammatory disorders.Nandakumar Packiriswamy Kari F Coulson Susan J Holcombe Lorraine M Sordillo 2017World Journal of Gastroenterology2017,23,19:3

16Downscaling future climate scenarios to fine scales for hydrologic and ecological modeling and analysis显示文摘Introduction:Evaluating the environmental impacts of climate change on water resources and biological components of the landscape is an integral part of hydrologic and ecological investigations,and the resultant land and resource management in the twenty-first century.Impacts of both climate and simulated hydrologic parameters on ecological processes are relevant at scales that reflect the heterogeneity and complexity of landscapes.At present,simulations of climate change available from global climate models[GCMs]require downscaling for hydrologic or ecological applications.Methods:Using statistically downscaled future climate projections developed using constructed analogues,a methodology was developed to further downscale the projections spatially using a gradient-inverse-distancesquared approach for application to hydrologic modeling at 270-m spatial resolution.Results:This paper illustrates a methodology to downscale and bias-correct national GCMs to subkilometer scales that are applicable to fine-scale environmental processes.Four scenarios were chosen to bracket the range of future emissions put forth by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.Fine-scale applications of downscaled datasets of ecological and hydrologic correlations to variation in climate are illustrated.Conclusions:The methodology,which includes a sequence of rigorous analyses and calculations,is intended to reduce the addition of uncertainty to the climate data as a result of the downscaling while providing the fine-scale climate information necessary for ecological analyses.It results in new but consistent data sets for the US at 4 km,the southwest US at 270 m,and California at 90 m and illustrates the utility of fine-scale downscaling to analyses of ecological processes influenced by topographic complexity.Lorraine E Flint Alan L Flint 2012Ecological Processes2012,1,1:2

19Impact of machine perfusion of the liver on post-transplant biliary complications: A systematic review显示文摘AIM To review the clinical impact of machine perfusion(MP) of the liver on biliary complications post-transplantation, particularly ischaemic-type biliary lesions(ITBL). METHODS This systematic review was performed in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalysis(PRISMA) protocol. The following databases were searched: PubMed, MEDLINE and Scopus. The keyword 'liver transplantation' was used in combination with the free term 'machine perfusion'. Clinical studies reporting results of transplantation of donor human livers following ex situ or in situ MP were analysed. Details relating to donor characteristics, recipients, technique of MP performed and post-operative biliary complications(ITBL, bile leak and anastomotic strictures) were critically analysed.RESULTS Fifteen articles were considered to fit the criteria for this review. Ex situ normothermic MP was used in 6 studies, ex situ hypothermic MP in 5 studies and the other 4 studies investigated in situ normothermic regional perfusion(NRP) and controlled oxygenated rewarming. MP techniques which have per se the potential to alleviate ischaemia-reperfusion injury: Such as hypothermic MP and NRP, have also reported lower rates of ITBL. Other biliary complications, such as biliary leak and anastomotic biliary strictures, are reported with similar incidences with all MP techniques. There is currently less clinical evidence available to support normothermic MP as a mitigator of biliary complications following liver transplantation.
