1International Freight Forwarding Services Network in the Yangtze River Delta, 2005–2015: Patterns and Mechanisms显示文摘This study examined the spatio-temporal trajectories of the international freight forwarding service(IFFS) in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD) and explored the driving mechanisms of the service. Based on a bipartite network projection from an IFFS firm-city data source, we mapped three IFFS networks in the YRD in 2005, 2010, and 2015. A range of statistical indicators were used to explore changes in the spatial patterns of the three networks. The underlying influence of marketization, globalization, decentralization, and integration was then explored. It was found that the connections between Shanghai and other nodal cities formed the backbones of these networks. The effects of a city's administrative level and provincial administrative borders were generally obvious. We found several specific spatial patterns associated with IFFS. For example, the four non-administrative centers of Ningbo, Suzhou, Lianyungang, and Nantong were the most connected cities and played the role of gateway cities. Furthermore, remarkable regional equalities were found regarding a city's IFFS network provision, with notable examples in the weakly connected areas of northern Jiangsu and southwestern Zhejiang. 2Artificial Intelligence Rehabilitation Evaluation and Training System for Degeneration of Joint Disease显示文摘Degeneration of joint disease is one of the problems that threaten global public health.Currently,the therapies of the disease are mainly conservative but not very effective.To solve the problem,we need to find effective,convenient and inexpensive therapies.With the rapid development of artificial intelligence,we innovatively propose to combine Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)with artificial intelligence to design a rehabilitation assessment system based on TCM Daoyin.Our system consists of four subsystems:the spine movement assessment system,the posture recognition and correction system,the background music recommendation system,and the physiological signal monitoring system.We incorporate several technologies such as keypoint detection,posture estimation,heart rate detection,and deriving respiration from electrocardiogram(ECG)signals.Finally,we integrate the four subsystems into a portable wireless device so that the rehabilitation equipment is well suited for home and community environment.The system can effectively alleviate the problem of an inadequate number of physicians and nurses.At the same time,it can promote our TCM culture as well.LIU Weichen SHEN Mengqi ZHANG Anda CHENG Yiting ZHANG Wenqiang 2021ZTE Communications2021,19,3:2
3Changes in chemical composition,structural and functional microbiome during alfalfa(Medicago sativa)ensilage with Lactobacillus plantarum PS-8显示文摘Improving silage production by adding exogenous microorganisms not only maximizes nutrient preservation,but also extends product shelf life.Herein,changes in the quality and quantity of Lactobacillus plantarum PS-8(PS-8)-inoculated alfalfa(Medicago sativa)during silage fermentation were monitored at d 0,7,14,and 28(inoculum dose of PS-8 was 1105 colony forming units[cfu]/g fresh weight;50 kg per bag;10 bags for each time point)by reconstructing metagenomic-assembled genomes(MAG)and Growth Rate InDex(GRiD).Our results showed that the exogenous starter bacterium,PS-8 inoculation,became the most dominating strain by d 7,and possibly played a highly active role throughout the fermentation process.The pH value of the silage decreased greatly,accompanied by the growth of acidproducing microorganisms namely PS-8,which inhibited the growth of harmful microorganisms like molds(4.18 vs.1.42 log cfu/g)and coliforms(4.95 vs.0.66 log most probable number[MPN]/g).The content of neutral detergent fiber(NDF)decreased significantly(41.6%vs.37.6%;dry matter basis).In addition,the abundance and diversity of genes coding microbial carbohydrate-active enzymes(CAZymes)increased significantly and desirably throughout the fermentation,particularly the genes responsible for degrading starch,arabino-xylan,and cellulose.Overall,our results showed that PS-8 was replicating rapidly and consistently during early-and mid-fermentation phases,promoting the growth of beneficial lactic acid bacteria and inhibiting undesirable microbes,ultimately improving the quality of silage.Lijun You Weichen Bao Caiqing Yao Feiyan Zhao Hao Jin Weiqiang Huang Bohai Li Lai-Yu Kwok Wenjun Liu 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,2:2

11Model Predictive Direct Power Control of Grid-connected Converters Considering Unbalanced Filter Inductance and Grid Conditions显示文摘The grid-connected converter(GCC) is widely used as the interface between various distributed generations and the utility grid. To achieve precise power control for GCC, this paper presents a model predictive direct power control(MPDPC)with consideration of the unbalanced filter inductance and grid conditions. First, the characteristics of GCC with unbalanced filter inductance are analyzed and a modified voltage control function is derived. On this basis, to compensate for the power oscillation caused by unbalanced filter inductance, a novel power compensation method is proposed for MPDPC to eliminate the DC-side current ripple while maintaining sinusoidal grid current. Besides, to improve the control robustness against mismatched filter inductance, a filter inductance identification scheme is proposed. Through this scheme, the estimated value of filter inductance is updated in each control period and applied in the proposed MPDPC. 13The effect of public health awareness and behaviors on the transmission dynamics of syphilis in Northwest China, 2006-2018, based on a multiple-stages mathematical model显示文摘Syphilis,a sexually transmitted infectious disease caused by the bacterium treponema pallidum,has re-emerged as a global public health issue with an estimated 12 million people infected each year.Understanding the impacts of health awareness and behaviors on transmission dynamics of syphilis can help to establish optimal control strategy in different regions.In this paper,we develop a multiple-stage SIRS epidemic model taking into account the public health awareness and behaviors of syphilis.First,the basic reproduction number R_(0) is obtained,which determines the global dynamics behaviors of the model.We derive the necessary conditions for implementing optimal control and the corresponding optimal solution for mitigation syphilis by using Pontryagin's Maximum Principle.Based on the data of syphilis in Ningxia from 2006 to 2018,the parameterizations and model calibration are carried out.The fitting results are in good agreement with the data.Moreover,sensitivity analysis shows that the public awareness induced protective behaviors C_(e),compliance of condom-induced preventabilityεand treatment for the primary syphilis m1 play an important role in mitigating the risk of syphilis outbreaks.These results can help us gain insights into the epidemiology of syphilis and provide guidance for the public health authorities to implement health education programs.Wenjun Jing Ning Ma Weichen Liu Yu Zhao 2021Infectious Disease Modelling2021,6,1:1

15Impacts of Atmospheric Boundary Layer Vertical Structure on Haze Pollution Observed by Tethered Balloon and Lidar显示文摘In this paper, the characteristics of the atmospheric boundary layer(ABL) vertical structure over the North China Plain(NCP) during a comprehensive observation experiment conducted during 15–21 December 2018 were investigated. Observational data were obtained with a large tethered balloon, Doppler wind lidar, and ground-level instruments. The maximum concentration of PM_(2.5) exceeded 200 μg m^(-3), and the ratio of PM_(2.5)/PM_(10) was approximately 0.4(its maxi-mum was approximately 0.8) during the whole observation period, indicating the explosive growth of dominant fine-mode aerosols in the winter heating season. Elevated concentrations of pollutants decreased the solar irradiance received by the ground, resulting in lower temperature at ground level. Our results illustrate three distinct types of vertical profiles: Type 1(convective state)—the concentration of PM_(2.5) decreased nearly linearly with increase of the height below approximately 600 m;Type 2(stable state)—the PM_(2.5) concentration sharply decreased from the ground to approximately 200 m;and Type 3(multilayer structure)—some pollutants were suspended aloft in the upper air layer. Diurnal evolution of the vertical profiles of PM_(2.5) and their relationship with the changes in meteorological factors were identified. From daytime to nighttime, the vertical profiles evolved from Type 1 to Type 2 or Type 3. All the 33 vertical PM_(2.5) profiles that we obtained showed a strong relationship with elements of the ABL structure, such as the distributions of winds, the inversion layer, and turbulence activities. 18Simultaneous regulation on coordination environment and interfacial chemistry via taurine for stabilized Zn metal anode显示文摘Aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs)are the potential options for the next-generation energy storage scenarios due to the cost effectiveness and intrinsic safety.Nevertheless,the industrial application of AZIBs is still impeded by a series of parasitic reactions and dendrites at zinc anodes.In this study,taurine(TAU)is used in electrolyte to simultaneously optimize the coordination condition of the ZnSO4electrolyte and interfacial chemistry at the anode.TAU can preferentially adsorb with the zinc metal and induce an in situ stable and protective interface on the anode,which would avoid the connection between H_(2)O and the zinc metal and promote the even deposition of Zn^(2+).The resulting Zn//Zn batteries achieve more than 3000 hours long cyclic lifespan under 1 mA cm^(-2)and an impressive cumulative capacity at 5 mA cm^(-2).Moreover,Zn//Cu batteries can realize a reversible plating/stripping process over 2,400cycles,with a desirable coulombic efficiency of 99.75%(1 mA cm^(-2)).Additionally,the additive endows Zn//NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10)batteries with more stable cyclic performance and ultrafast rate capability.These capabilities can promote the industrial application of AZIBs.Xin Xu Junyi Yin Ruimin Qin Haoliang Liu Xiang Feng Minghui Wang Mingyan Li Weiyu Sun Weichen Shi Bing Xiao Yaqiong Su Yonghong Cheng 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,11:0
19Different Turbulent Regimes and Vertical Turbulence Structures of the Urban Nocturnal Stable Boundary Layer显示文摘Turbulence in the nocturnal boundary layer(NBL)is still not well characterized,especially over complex underlying surfaces.Herein,gradient tower data and eddy covariance data collected by the Beijing 325-m tower were used to better understand the differentiating characteristics of turbulence regimes and vertical turbulence structure of urban the NBL.As for heights above the urban canopy layer(UCL),the relationship between turbulence velocity scale(VTKE)and wind speed(V)was consistent with the“HOckey-Stick”(HOST)theory proposed for a relatively flat area.Four regimes have been identified according to urban nocturnal stable boundary layer.Regime 1 occurs where local shear plays a leading role for weak turbulence under the constraint that the wind speed VVT and is mainly driven by bulk shear.Regime 3 is identified by the existence of moderate turbulence when upside-down turbulence sporadic bursts occur in the presence of otherwise weak turbulence.Regime 4 is identified as buoyancy turbulence,when V>VT,and the turbulence regime is affected by a combination of local wind shear,bulk shear and buoyancy turbulence.The turbulence activities demonstrated a weak thermal stratification dependency in regime 1,for which within the UCL,the turbulence intensity was strongly affected by local wind shear when VYu SHI Qingcun ZENG Fei HU Weichen DING Zhe ZHANG Kang ZHANG Lei LIU 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,6:0
20Influence of aspect ratio and arrangement direction on the shear behavior of ellipsoids显示文摘This work studies the macroscopic and microscopic behaviors of ellipsoids under triaxial tests using 3D discrete element method(DEM)simulation.To avoid the boundary effect,a novel stress servo-controlled periodic boundary condition is proposed to maintain the confining pressure of samples during testing.The shape features of ellipsoids are investigated,including the aspect ratio of elongated/oblate ellipsoids and the initial arrangement directions of ellipsoids.The macroscopic properties of ellipsoidal particle samples,such as the deviatoric stress,volumetric strain,internal friction angle,as well as dilatancy angles are explored.Elongated and oblate ellipsoids with varying aspect ratios are investigated for the occurrence of stick-slips.In addition,it is demonstrated that the initial arrangement direction has a significant impact on the coordination number and contact force chains.The corresponding anisotropy coefficients of the entire contact network are analyzed to probe the microscopic roots of macroscopic behavior.Weichen Sun Kai Wu Songyu Liu Xiang Zhang 2022Particuology2022,,11:0
