1Forecasting Scenario Generation for Multiple Wind Farms Considering Time-series Characteristics and Spatial-temporal Correlation显示文摘Scenario forecasting methods have been widely studied in recent years to cope with the wind power uncertainty problem. The main difficulty of this problem is to accurately and comprehensively reflect the time-series characteristics and spatial-temporal correlation of wind power generation. In this paper, the marginal distribution model and the dependence structure are combined to describe these complex characteristics. On this basis, a scenario generation method for multiple wind farms is proposed. For the marginal distribution model, the autoregressive integrated moving average-generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity-t (ARIMA-GARCH-t) model is proposed to capture the time-series characteristics of wind power generation. For the dependence structure, a time-varying regular vine mixed Copula (TRVMC) model is established to capture the spatial-temporal correlation of multiple wind farms. Based on the data from 8 wind farms in Northwest China, sufficient scenarios are generated. The effectiveness of the scenarios is evaluated in 3 aspects. 2Corrosion behavior of Q235B carbon steel in simulated seawater pumped storage system under operational conditions显示文摘Seawater pumped storage systems have bright prospect for energy storage in the coming years.The operational conditions of seawater pumped storage system are complex and harsh,where metal materials suff er from severe general and local corrosion.The corrosion behavior of Q235B carbon steel in simulated seawater pumped storage system under operational conditions was studied by potentiodynamic polarization,cyclic potentiodynamic polarization,and scanning electron microscope(SEM).The results confi rm that the working pressure aff ected the corrosion resistance of Q235B carbon steel during the whole immersion period.The pressure promoted the electrochemical reaction of corrosion process and the corrosion rate increased with pressure at the initial immersion period.However,the stable rust layer formed after longtime immersion at diff erent pressures increased the corrosion resistance of carbon steel,and decreased the corrosion degree of carbon steel.Meanwhile,the working pressure aff ected the pitting corrosion behavior of Q235B carbon steel during the whole immersion period.The pitting corrosion potential was more negative and the tendency of pitting corrosion was higher at 4 MPa during the whole immersion period.However,pressure also accelerated the formation rate of protective rust layer on the steel surface.Q235B carbon steel has higher susceptibility to pitting corrosion at 4 MPa in the static seawater.YANG Dan HUANG Yanliang LI Jianqiu GAO Yanming ZHAO Xia XU Weichen 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,5:2

5Rhesus monkeys exhibiting spontaneous ritualistic behaviors resembling obsessive-compulsive disorder显示文摘Obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD)is a chronic and debilitating psychiatric disorder that affects∼2%–3%of the population globally.Studying spontaneous OCD-like behaviors in non-human primates may improve our understanding of the disorder.In large rhesus monkey colonies,we found 10 monkeys spontaneously exhibiting persistent sequential motor behaviors(SMBs)in individual-specific sequences that were repetitive,time-consuming and stable over prolonged periods.Genetic analysis revealed severely damaging mutations in genes associated with OCD risk in humans.Brain imaging showed that monkeys with SMBs had larger gray matter(GM)volumes in the left caudate nucleus and lower fractional anisotropy of the corpus callosum.The GM volume of the left caudate nucleus correlated positively with the daily duration of SMBs.Notably,exposure to a stressor(human presence)significantly increased SMBs.In addition,fluoxetine,a serotonergic medication commonly used for OCD,decreased SMBs in these monkeys.These findings provide a novel foundation for developing better understanding and treatment of OCD.Rongwei Zhai Geya Tong Zheqin Li Weichen Song Yang Hu Sha Xu Qiqi Wei Xiaocheng Zhang Yi Li Bingbing Liao Chenyu Yuan Yinqing Fan Ge Song Yinyin Ouyang Wenxuan Zhang Yaqiu Tang Minghui Jin Yuxian Zhang He Li Zhi Yang Guan Ning Lin Dan JStein Zhi-Qi Xiong Zhen Wang 2023National Science Review2023,10,11:1
6Model Predictive Direct Power Control of Grid-connected Converters Considering Unbalanced Filter Inductance and Grid Conditions显示文摘The grid-connected converter(GCC) is widely used as the interface between various distributed generations and the utility grid. To achieve precise power control for GCC, this paper presents a model predictive direct power control(MPDPC)with consideration of the unbalanced filter inductance and grid conditions. First, the characteristics of GCC with unbalanced filter inductance are analyzed and a modified voltage control function is derived. On this basis, to compensate for the power oscillation caused by unbalanced filter inductance, a novel power compensation method is proposed for MPDPC to eliminate the DC-side current ripple while maintaining sinusoidal grid current. Besides, to improve the control robustness against mismatched filter inductance, a filter inductance identification scheme is proposed. Through this scheme, the estimated value of filter inductance is updated in each control period and applied in the proposed MPDPC. 11Magnetocontrollable droplet mobility on liquid crystal-infused porous surfaces显示文摘Magnetocontrollable droplet mobility on surfaces of both solids and simple fluids have been widely used in a wide range of applications.However,little is understood about the effect of the magnetic field on the wettability and mobility of droplets on structured fluids.Here,we report the manipulation of the dynamic behaviors of water droplets on a film of thermotropic liquid crystals(LCs).We find that the static wetting behavior and static friction of water droplets on a 4’-octyl-4-biphenylcarbonitrile(8CB)film strongly depend on the LC mesophases,and that a magnetic field caused no measurable change to these properties.However,we find that the droplet dynamics can be affected by a magnetic field as it slides on a nematic 8CB film,but not on isotropic 8CB,and is dependent on both the direction and strength of the magnetic field.By measuring the dynamic friction of a droplet sliding on a nematic 8CB film,we find that a magnetic field alters the internal orientational ordering of the 8CB which in turn affects its viscosity.We support this interpretation with a scaling argument using the LC magnetic coherence length that includes(i)the elastic energy from the long-range orientational ordering of 8CB and(ii)the free energy from the interaction between 8CB and a magnetic field.Overall,these results advance our understanding of droplet mobility on LC films and enable new designs for responsive surfaces that can manipulate the mobility of water droplets.Yang Xu Yuxing Yao Weichen Deng Jen-Chun Fang Robert LDupont Meng Zhang SimonČopar UrošTkalec Xiaoguang Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0
12Cryogenian and Ediacaran integrative stratigraphy,biotas,and paleogeographical evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas显示文摘The complex evolutionary history of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas,including the continental blocks(Indian,Lhasa,South Qiangtang,Tarim,Olongbuluk,Central Qilian,Alxa,North China,Yangtze,Central Iran and Oman)and the orogenic belts between them,has long been the frontier in Earth science research.The Cryogenian and Ediacaran strata are extensively distributed in these blocks.Specifically,relatively complete Cryogenian and Ediacaran successions have been discovered in Oman,Indian,Yangtze,and Tarim blocks,while only the Ediacaran successions have been reported in Iran,the South Qiangtang,Central Qilian,Alxa,and North China blocks.Based on previous studies together with the integration of new materials and advancement obtained through the Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research,this review aims to synthesize a correlative stratigraphic framework of the representative Cryogenian and Ediacaran sequences from the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas.Furthermore,the Cryogenian and Ediacaran biotas and major geological events in these areas are comprehensively discussed in aspects of current research status.The results indicate that,in general,Ediacaran fossils of each area exhibit distinct features in preservation and assemblage composition,but the typical late Ediacaran fossils Cloudina and Shaanxilithes have been reported from most of these areas.In addition to the two global Cryogenian glaciations,late Ediacaran glaciogenic deposits are extensively recorded in the areas within and around the northern QinghaiTibetan Plateau(including the North China,Alxa,Central Qilian,Olongbuluk,and Tarim blocks,and the North Qilian Accretionary Belt),as well as central and southern Iran.However,further research is required to determine the age,distribution,and origin of these late Ediacaran glaciogenic deposits.Meanwhile,the middle Ediacaran DOUNCE/Shuram Excursion is widely documented in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas.The available data show that,after the break-up of the Rodinia supercontinent,most of the continental blocks in the areas were located along the northern margin of East Gondwana and a few(such as North China)were located between the Gondwana and Laurentia.In general,the paleogeographic evolution of most of these blocks during the Cryogenian and Ediacaran remains disputatious,necessitating further research to resolve the controversies surrounding their paleogeographic reconstruction models during this critical time interval.Lang SUN Malik Muhammad Saud Sajid KHAN Chuan YANG Zhixin SUN Bing PAN Shehryar AHMED Lanyun MIAO Weichen SUN Chunlin HU Xiaojuan SUN Cui LUO Bo CHEN Zongjun YIN Fangchen ZHAO Guoxiang LI Maoyan ZHU 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,4:0
