1Fast Marching Method for Microseismic Source Location in Cavern-Containing Rockmass: Performance Analysis and Engineering Application显示文摘Microseismic(MS)event locations are vital aspect of MS monitoring technology used to delineate the damage zone inside the surrounding rock mass.However,complex geological conditions can impose significantly adverse effects on the final location results.To achieve a high-accuracy location in a complex cavern-containing structure,this study develops an MS location method using the fast marching method(FMM)with a second-order difference approach(FMM2).Based on the established velocity model with three-dimensional(3D)discrete grids,the realization of the MS location can be achieved by searching the minimum residual between the theoretical and actual first arrival times.Moreover,based on the calculation results of FMM2,the propagation paths from the MS sources to MS sensors can be obtained using the linear interpolation approach and the Runge–Kutta method.These methods were validated through a series of numerical experiments.In addition,our proposed method was applied to locate the recorded blasting and MS events that occurred during the excavation period of the underground caverns at the Houziyan hydropower station.The location results of the blasting activities show that our method can effectively reduce the location error compared with the results based on the uniform velocity model.Furthermore,the obtained MS location was verified through the occurrence of shotcrete fractures and spalling,and the monitoring results of the in-situ multipoint extensometer.Our proposed method can offer a more accurate rock fracture location and facilitate the delineation of damage zones inside the surrounding rock mass.Ruochen Jiang Feng Dai Yi Liu Ang Li 2021Engineering2021,7,7:10
2Investigation of the influence of intermediate principal stress on the dynamic responses of rocks subjected to true triaxial stress state显示文摘Precisely understanding the dynamic mechanical properties and failure modes of rocks subjected to true triaxial stress state(σ1>σ2>σ3,whereσ1,σ2,andσ3 are the major principal stress,intermediate principal stress,and minor principal stress,respectively)is essential to the safety of underground engineering.However,in the laboratory,it is difficult to maintain the constant true triaxial stress state of rocks during the dynamic testing process.Herein,a numerical servo triaxial Hopkinson bar(NSTHB)was developed to study the dynamic responses of rocks confronted with a true triaxial stress state,in which lateral stresses can maintain constant.The results indicate that the dynamic strength and elastic modulus of rocks increase with the rise of intermediate principal stressσ2,while the dynamic elastic modulus is independent of the dynamic strain rate.Simulated acoustic emission distributions indicate that the intermediate principal stressσ2 dramatically affects dynamic failure modes of triaxial confined rocks.Asσ2 increases,the failure pattern switches from a single diagonal shear zone into two parallel shear zones with a small slant.Moreover,a recent triaxial Hopkinson bar experimental system using three bar pairs is also numerically established,and the measuring discrepancies are identified between the two numerical bar systems.The proposed NSTHB system provides a controllable tool for studying the dynamic triaxial behavior of rocks.Wei You Feng Dai Yi Liu Hongbo Du Ruochen Jiang 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,5:6
3Fe5C2 nanoparticles as low-cost HER electrocatalyst:the importance of Co substitution显示文摘Constructing and understanding the doping effect of secondary metal in transition metal carbide(TMC)catalysts is pivotal for the design of low-cost hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) electrocatalysts. In this work, we developed a wet-chemistry strategy for synthesizing Co-modified Fe_5C_2 nanoparticles((Fe_(1-x)Cox)_5C_2 NPs) as highly active HER electrocatalysts in basic solution. The structure of(Fe_(1-x)Cox)_5C_2 NPs was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectra(EXAFS) and scanning/transmission electron microscopy(S/TEM), indicating that the isomorphous substitution of cobalt in the lattice of Fe_5C_2.(Fe_(0.75) Co_(0.25))_5C_2 exhibited the best HER activity(174 mV for j = -10 mA/cm^2). Computational calculation results indicate that Co provides the most active site for HER. X-ray adsorption spectra(XAS) studies further suggested that the electron transfer in Fe–C bonds are enhanced by the substitution of Co, which modulates the hydrogen adsorption on the adjacent electronic-enriched carbon, and therefore promotes HER activity. 4Adaptive chaos clonal evolutionary programming algorithm显示文摘Based on the chaos movement and the clonal selection theory, a novel artificial immune system algorithm, Adaptive Chaos Clonal Evolutionary Programming Algorithm (ACCEP), is proposed in this paper. The new algorithm uses the Logistic Sequence to control the mutation scale and uses the Chaos Mutation Operator to control the clonal selection. Compared with SGA and Clonal Selection Algorithm, ACCEP can enhance the precision and stability, avoid prematurity to some extent, and have the high convergence speed. 5Modeling and test on height adjustment system of electrically-controlled air suspension for agricultural vehicles显示文摘To reduce the damages of pavement,vehicle components and agricultural product during transportation,an electric control air suspension height adjustment system of agricultural transport vehicle was studied by means of simulation and bench test.For the oscillation phenomenon of vehicle height in driving process,the mathematical model of the vehicle height adjustment system was developed,and the controller of vehicle height based on single neuron adaptive PID control algorithm was designed.The control model was simulated via Matlab/Simulink,and bench test was conducted.Results show that the method is feasible and effective to solve the agricultural vehicle body height unstable phenomenon in the process of switching.Compared with other PID algorithms,the single neuron adaptive PID control in agricultural transport vehicle has shorter response time,faster response speed and more stable switching state.The stability of the designed vehicle height adjustment system and the ride comfort of agricultural transport vehicle were improved.Chen Yuexia Chen Long Wang Ruochen Xu Xing Shen Yujie Liu Yanling 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,2:3
6The high diversity of SARS-CoV-2-related coronaviruses in pangolins alerts potential ecological risks显示文摘Understanding the zoonotic origin and evolution history of SARS-CoV-2 will provide critical insights for alerting and preventing future outbreaks.A significant gap remains for the possible role of pangolins as a reservoir of SARS-CoV-2 related coronaviruses(SC2r-CoVs).Here,we screened SC2r-CoVs in 172 samples from 163 pangolin individuals of four species,and detected positive signals in muscles of four Manis javanica and,for the first time,one M.pentadactyla.Phylogeographic analysis of pangolin mitochondrial DNA traced their origins from Southeast Asia.Using in-solution hybridization capture sequencing,we assembled a partial pangolin SC2r-CoV(pangolin-CoV)genome sequence of 22895 bp(MP20)from the M.pentadactyla sample.Phylogenetic analyses revealed MP20 was very closely related to pangolin-CoVs that were identified in M.javanica seized by Guangxi Customs.A genetic contribution of bat coronavirus to pangolin-CoVs via recombination was indicated.Our analysis revealed that the genetic diversity of pangolin-CoVs is substantially higher than previously anticipated.Given the potential infectivity of pangolin-CoVs,the high genetic diversity of pangolin-CoVs alerts the ecological risk of zoonotic evolution and transmission of pathogenic SC2r-CoVs.Min-Sheng Peng Jian-Bo Li Zheng-Fei Cai Hang Liu Xiaolu Tang Ruochen Ying Jia-Nan Zhang Jia-Jun Tao Ting-Ting Yin Tao Zhang Jing-Yang Hu Ru-Nian Wu Zhong-Yin Zhou Zhi-Gang Zhang Li Yu Yong-Gang Yao Zheng-Li Shi Xue-Mei Lu Jian Lu Ya-Ping Zhang 2021Zoological Research2021,42,6:2

9Magnetic-programmable organohydrogels with reconfigurable network for mechanical homeostasis显示文摘Synthetic materials with tunable mechanical properties have great potential in soft robotics and biomedical engineering.However,current materials are limited to the mechanical duality altering their mechanical properties only between soft and hard states and lack of consecutively programmable mechanics.Herein,the magnetic-programmable organohydrogels with heterogeneous dynamic architecture are designed by encasing oleophilic ferrofluid droplets into hydrogel matrix.As magnetic field increases,the mechanical properties of organohydrogels can be consecutively modulated owing to the gradual formation of chain-like assembly structures of nanoparticles.The storage modulus G'increases by 2.5 times when magnetic field goes up to 0.35 T.Small-Angle X-ray Scattering(SAXS)confirms the reconfigurable orientation of nanoparticles and the organohydrogels show reversible modulus switching.Besides,the materials also exhibit high stretchability,magnetic actuation behavior and effective self-healing capability.Furthermore,the organohydrogels are applied into the design of effectors with mechanical adaptivity.When subjected to serious external perturbations,the effector can maintain mechanical homeostasis by regulating modulus of organohydrogel under applied magnetic field.Such materials are applicable to homeostatic systems with mechanically adaptive behaviors and programmed responses to external force stimuli.Yingchao Yang Qian Liu Tianyi Zhao Yunfei Ru Ruochen Fang Yichao Xu Jin Huang Mingjie Liu 2021Nano Research2021,14,1:1

11Evaluation of aileron actuator reliability with censored data显示文摘For the purpose of enhancing reliability of aileron of Airbus new-generation A350 XWB,an evaluation of aileron reliability on the basis of maintenance data is presented in this paper.Practical maintenance data contains large number of censoring samples, information uncertainty of which makes it hard to evaluate reliability of aileron actuator.Considering that true lifetime of censoring sample has identical distribution with complete sample, if censoring sample is transformed into complete sample, conversion frequency of censoring sample can be estimated according to frequency of complete sample.On the one hand, standard life table estimation and product limit method are improved on the basis of such conversion frequency, enabling accurate estimation of various censoring samples.On the other hand, by taking such frequency as one of the weight factors and integrating variance of order statistics under standard distribution, weighted least square estimation is formed for accurately estimating various censoring samples.Large amounts of experiments and simulations show that reliabilities of improved life table and improved product limit method are closer to the true value and more conservative; moreover, weighted least square estimate(WLSE), with conversion frequency of censoring sample and variances of order statistics as the weights, can still estimate accurately with high proportion of censored data in samples.Algorithm in this paper has good effect and can accurately estimate the reliability of aileron actuator even with small sample and high censoring rate.This research has certain significance in theory and engineering practice.Li Huaiyuan Zuo Hongfu Liu Ruochen Liu Junqiang Jing Cai 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,4:1
12Joint optimization of sampling interval and control for condition-based maintenance using availability maximization criterion显示文摘Most of the maintenance optimization models in condition-based maintenance(CBM) consider the cost-optimal criterion, but few papers have dealt with availability maximization for maintenance applications. A novel optimal Bayesian control approach is presented for maintenance decision making. The system deterioration evolves as a three-state continuous time hidden semi-Markov process. Considering the optimal maintenance policy, the multivariate Bayesian control scheme based on the hidden semi-Markov model(HSMM) is developed, the objective is to maximize the long-run expected average availability per unit time. The proposed approach can optimize the sampling interval and control limit jointly. 16Methylation across the central dogma in health and diseases: new therapeutic strategies显示文摘The proper transfer of genetic information from DNA to RNA to protein is essential for cell-fate control,development,and health.Methylation of DNA,RNAs,histones,and non-histone proteins is a reversible post-synthesis modification that finetunes gene expression and function in diverse physiological processes.Aberrant methylation caused by genetic mutations or environmental stimuli promotes various diseases and accelerates aging,necessitating the development of therapies to correct the disease-driver methylation imbalance.In this Review,we summarize the operating system of methylation across the central dogma,which includes writers,erasers,readers,and reader-independent outputs.We then discuss how dysregulation of the system contributes to neurological disorders,cancer,and aging.Current small-molecule compounds that target the modifiers show modest success in certain cancers.The methylome-wide action and lack of specificity lead to undesirable biological effects and cytotoxicity,limiting their therapeutic application,especially for diseases with a monogenic cause or different directions of methylation changes.Emerging tools capable of site-specific methylation manipulation hold great promise to solve this dilemma.With the refinement of delivery vehicles,these new tools are well positioned to advance the basic research and clinical translation of the methylation field.Ruochen Liu Erhu Zhao Huijuan Yu Chaoyu Yuan Muhammad Nadeem Abbas Hongjuan Cui 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,9:0

18Correlating the electronic structures of metallic/semiconducting MoTe_(2)interface to its atomic structures显示文摘Contact interface properties are important in determining the performances of devices that are based on atomically thin two-dimensional(2D)materials,especially for those with short channels.Understanding the contact interface is therefore important to design better devices.Herein,we use scanning transmission electron microscopy,electron energy loss spectroscopy,and first-principles calculations to reveal the electronic structures within the metallic(1T)-semiconducting(2H)MoTe_(2)coplanar phase boundary across a wide spectral range and correlate its properties to atomic structures.We find that the 2 H-MoTe_(2)excitonic peaks cross the phase boundary into the 1 T phase within a range of approximately 150 nm.The1 T-MoTe_(2)crystal field can penetrate the boundary and extend into the 2H phase by approximately two unit-cells.The plasmonic oscillations exhibit strong angle dependence,that is a red-shift ofπ+σ(approximately 0.3–1.2 e V)occurs within 4 nm at 1 T/2 H-MoTe_(2)boundaries with large tilt angles,but there is no shift at zero-tilted boundaries.These atomic-scale measurements reveal the structure–property relationships of the 1 T/2 H-MoTe_(2)boundary,providing useful information for phase boundary engineering and device development based on 2 D materials.Bo Han Chen Yang Xiaolong Xu Yuehui Li Ruochen Shi Kaihui Liu Haicheng Wang Yu Ye Jing Lu Dapeng Yu Peng Gao 2021National Science Review2021,8,2:0
19Binary molten salt in situ synthesis of sandwich-structure hybrids of hollowβ-Mo2C nanotubes and N-doped carbon nanosheets for hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Focused exploration of earth-abundant and cost-efficient non-noble metal electrocatalysts with superior hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)performance is very important for large-scale and efficient electrolysis of water.Herein,a sandwich composite structure(designed as MS-Mo2C@NCNS)ofβ-Mo2C hollow nanotubes(HNT)and N-doped carbon nanosheets(NCNS)is designed and prepared using a binary NaCl–KCl molten salt(MS)strategy for HER.The temperature-dominant Kirkendall formation mechanism is tentatively proposed for such a three-dimensional hierarchical framework.Due to its attractive structure and componential synergism,MS-Mo2C@NCNS exposes more effective active sites,confers robust structural stability,and shows significant electrocatalytic activity/stability in HER,with a current density of 10 mA cm-2 and an overpotential of only 98 mV in 1 M KOH.Density functional theory calculations point to the synergistic effect of Mo2C HNT and NCNS,leading to enhanced electronic transport and suitable adsorption free energies of H*(ΔGH*)on the surface of electroactive Mo2C.More significantly,the MS-assisted synthetic methodology here provides an enormous perspective for the commercial development of highly active non-noble metal electrocatalysts toward efficient hydrogen evolution.Tianyu Gong Yang Liu Kai Cui Jiali Xu Linrui Hou Haowen Xu Ruochen Liu Jianlin Deng Changzhou Yuan 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,12:0
20CCDC25:precise navigator for neutrophil extracellular traps on the prometastatic road显示文摘The dissemination of cancer cells called metastasis accounts for the majority of deaths of cancer patients.Neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)released by neutrophils to fight pathogens have been shown to promote metastasis in mouse models.However,the mechanism behind how NETs boost metastasis remains elusive.In a recent study in Nature,1 Yang et al reported that NETs are abundant in the liver metastases of patients with breast and colon cancers,and that the risk of liver metastasis in patients with earlystage breast cancer can be predicted by monitoring the levels of serum NETs.Furthermore,Yang et al.1 elucidated that the DNA component of NETs(NET-DNA)acts as a chemotactic factor that is recognized by coiled-coil domain containing protein 25(CCDC25),a cytoplasmic membrane-localized extracellular DNA sensor of cancer cells,which in turn activates the integrin-linked kinase(ILK)–β-parvin–RAC1–CDC42 cascade to promote metastasis(Fig.1).The clinical importance of CCDC25 was confirmed by Yang et al.,1 and targeting CCDC25 inhibits NET-mediated metastasis in mouse models,suggesting a potential therapeutic strategy to halt the metastasis.Ruochen Liu Erhu Zhao Feng Wang Hongjuan Cui 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:0
