| 1 | Arab/c/opste N^(6)-methyladenosine reader CPSF30-L recognizes FUE signals to control polyadenylation site choice in liquid-like nuclear bodies显示文摘The biological functions of the epitranscriptomic modification N^(6)-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)in plants are not fully understood.CPSF30-L is a predominant isoform of the polyadenylation factor CPSF30 and consists of CPSF30-S and an m^(6)A-binding YTH domain.Little is known about the biological roles of CPSF30-L and the molecular mechanism underlying its m^(6)A-binding function in alternative polyadenylation.Here,we charac-terized CPSF30-L as an Arabidopsis m^(6)A reader whose m^(6)A-binding function is required for the floral tran-sition and abscisic acid(ABA)response.We found that the m^(6)A-binding activity of CPSF30-L enhances the formation of liquid-like nuclear bodies,where CPSF30-L mainly recognizes m*A-modified far-upstream elements to control polyadenylation site choice.Deficiency of CPSF30-L lengthens the 3'untranslated region of three phenotypes-related transcripts,thereby accelerating their mRNA degradation and leading to late flowering and ABA hypersensitivity.Collectively,this study uncovers a new molecular mechanism for m^(6)A-driven phase separation and polyadenylation in plants. | Peizhe Song Junbo Yang Chunling Wang Qiang Lu Linqing Shi Subiding Tayier Guifang Jia | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,4: | 12 |

| 3 | Application of Human Adenovirus Genotyping by Phylogenetic Analysis in an Outbreak to Identify Nosocomial Infection显示文摘Nosocomial infections are common in pediatric patients and can be fatal in infants and immunocompromised patients. In September 2018, a high positive rate of human adenovirus HAdV was occurred among hospitalized children in the Children's Hospital Affiliated to the Capital Institute of Paediatrics in Beijing. To investigate whether this outbreak of HAdV was related to nosocomial infections or the result of community infections, we collected respiratory specimens from patients with acute respiratory infections in a respiratory ward during June to December 2018, and screened for respiratory viruses. Among 1,840 cases included, 95(5.2%, 95/1840) were positive for HAdV and 81 were genotyped based on phylogenetic analysis, including seven as HAdV-1(8.6%), 30 HAdV-3(37.0%), two HAdV-6(2.5%), and 42 HAdV-7(51.9%). More HAdV-positive samples were collected in August(4.7%, 12/255), September(15.0%, 41/274) and October(6.9%, 17/247), with a peak in September 2018. By combining the results of HAdV phylogenetic analysis with clinical data of patients, there were 77 cases(4.2%, 77/1840;81.1%, 77/95) excluded from nosocomial infections, eight cases representing possible infections transmitted by visitors or attending parents, three cases without sequences that might have been due to infection transmitted by roommates positive for HAdV, one case of a roommate without an HAdV sequence, and six cases that shared highly homologous sequences with those of their roommates, for which nosocomial infections might be considered. | 5 | Responses of calcareous sand foundations to variations of groundwater table and applied loads显示文摘The long-term settlement of calcareous sand foundations caused by daily periodic fluctuations has become a significant geological hazard,but effective monitoring tools to capture the deformation profiles are still rarely reported.In this study,a laboratory model test and an in situ monitoring test were conducted.An optical frequency domain reflectometer(OFDR)with high spatial resolution(1 mm)and high accuracy(10-6)was used to record the soil strain responses to groundwater table and varied loads.The results indicated that the fiber-optic measurements can accurately locate the swelling and compressive zones.During the loading process,the interlock between calcareous sand particles was detected,which increased the internal friction angle of soil.The foundation deformation above the sliding surface was dominated by compression,and the soil was continuously compressed beneath the sliding surface.After 26e48 h,calcareous sand swelling occurred gradually above the water table,which was primarily dependent on capillary water.The swelling of the soil beneath the groundwater table was completed rapidly within less than 2 h.When the groundwater table and load remain constant,the compression creep behavior can be described by the Yasong-Wang model with R2¼0.993.The daily periodically varying in situ deformation of calcareous sand primarily occurs between the highest and lowest groundwater tables,i.e.4.2e6.2 m deep.The tuff interlayers with poor water absorption capacity do not swell or compress,but they produce compressive strain under the influence of deformed calcareous sand layers. | Dingfeng Cao Sanjay Kumar Shukla Linqing Yang Chengchao Guo Jinghong Wu Fuming Wang | 2022 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,4: | 2 |

| 7 | Sulfur vs. tellurium: the heteroatom effects on the nonfullerene acceptors显示文摘The effect of chalcogen heteroatom variation on donor materials has been systematically investigated. However, this effect on acceptors has rarely been explored. Herein, nonfullerene acceptors BFPSP and BFPTP were reported by simply changing the chalcogen atoms from S to Te. The differences between BFPSP and BFPTP in light absorption, energy levels, excited-state lifetimes, energy loss, charge mobilities, morphology, and photovoltaic properties were systematically investigated to understand the heteroatom effects. | 8 | Consolidation treatment needed for sustained HBsAg-negative response induced by interferon-alpha in HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis B patients显示文摘Hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)clearance is considered as functional cure in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).This study aimed to assess the durability of HBsAg clearance achieved by interferon-based therapies in patients with CHB who were originally positive for hepatitis B envelope antigen(HBeAg).In this prospective study,HBeAg-positive CHB patients with confirmed HBsAg loss under interferon-based therapies were enrolled within 12 weeks from end of treatment and followed up for 48 weeks.Virological markers,biochemical indicators,and liver imaging examinations were observed every 3–6 months.Sustained functional cure was analysed as primary outcome.Factor associated with sustained HBsAg loss or reversion was also investigated.The rate of HBsAg loss sustainability was 91.8%(212/231).Patients receiving consolidation treatment for 12–24weeks or≥24 weeks had higher rates of sustained HBsAg negativity than those receiving consolidation treatment for<12 weeks(98.3%and 91.2%vs.86.7%,P=0.068),and the former groups had significantly higher anti-HBs levels than the later(P<0.05).The cumulative incidence of HBsAg reversion and HBV DNA reversion was 8.2%and 3.9%,respectively.Consolidation treatment of≥12 weeks[odd ratio(OR)3.318,95%confidence interval(CI)1.077–10.224,P=0.037)was a predictor of sustained functional cure,and HBeAg-positivity at cessation of treatment(OR 12.271,95%CI 1.076–139.919,P=0.043)was a predictor of HBsAg reversion.Interferon-alpha induced functional cure was durable and a consolidation treatment of≥12–24 weeks was needed after HBsAg loss in HBeAg-positive CHB patients. | Minghui Li Fangfang Sun Xiaoyue Bi Yanjie Lin Liu Yang Yao Lu Lu Zhang Gang Wan Wei Yi Linqing Zhao Yao Xie | 2022 | Virologica Sinica2022,37,3: | 1 |

| 13 | Variant rs8400 enhances ALKBH5 expression through disrupting miR-186 binding and promotes neuroblastoma progression显示文摘Objective:AlkB homolog 5(ALKBH5)has been proven to be closely related to tumors.However,the role and molecular mechanism of ALKBH5 in neuroblastomas have rarely been reported.Methods:The potential functional single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in ALKBH5 were identified by National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI)dbSNP screening and SNPinfo software.TaqMan probes were used for genotyping.A multiple logistic regression model was used to evaluate the effects of different SNP loci on the risk of neuroblastoma.The expression of ALKBH5 in neuroblastoma was evaluated by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry(IHC).Cell counting kit-8(CCK-8),plate colony formation and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine(EdU)incorporation assays were used to evaluate cell proliferation.Wound healing and Transwell assays were used to compare cell migration and invasion.Thermodynamic modelling was performed to predict the ability of miRNAs to bind to ALKBH5 with the rs8400 G/A polymorphism.RNA sequencing,N6-methyladenosine(mA)sequencing,mA methylated RNA immunoprecipitation(MeRIP)and a luciferase assay were used to identify the targeting effect of ALKBH5 on SPP1.Results:ALKBH5 was highly expressed in neuroblastoma.Knocking down ALKBH5 inhibited the proliferation,migration and invasion of cancer cells.miR-186-3p negatively regulates the expression of ALKBH5,and this ability is affected by the rs8400 polymorphism.When the G nucleotide was mutated to A,the ability of miR-186-3p to bind to the 3'-UTR of ALKBH5 decreased,resulting in upregulation of ALKBH5.SPPI is the downstream target gene of the ALKBH5 oncogene.Knocking down SPP1 partially restored the inhibitory effect of ALKBH5 downregulation on neuroblastoma.Downregulation of ALKBH5 can improve the therapeutic efficacy of carboplatin and etoposide in neuroblastoma.Conclusions:We first found that the rs8400 G>A polymorphism in the m6A demethylase-encoding gene ALKBH5 increases neuroblastoma susceptibility and determines the related mechanisms.The aberrant regulation of ALKBH5 by miR-186-3p caused by this genetic variation in ALKBH5 promotes the occurrence and development of neuroblastoma through the ALKBH5-SPP1 axis. | Qian Guan Huiran Lin Wenfeng Hua Lei Lin Jiabin Liu Linqing Deng Jiao Zhang Jiwen Cheng Zhonghua Yang Yong Li Jun Bian Haixia Zhou Suhong Li Li Li Lei Miao Huimin Xia Jing He Zhenjian Zhuo | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2023,35,2: | 0 |
| 14 | Interfacial Characteristics and Formation Mechanisms of Copper–steel Multimaterial Structures Fabricated via Laser Powder Bed Fusion Using Different Building Strategies显示文摘Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)is an innovative method for manufacturing multimaterial components with high geometrical resolution.The LPBF-printing sequences of materials may be diverse in the actual design and application of multimaterial components.In this study,multimaterial copper(CuSn10)–steel(316 L)structures are printed using different building strategies(printing 316 L on CuSn10 and printing CuSn10 on 316 L)via LPBF,and the characteristics of two interfaces(the 316 L/CuSn10 or“L/C”and CuSn10/316 L or“C/L”interfaces)are investigated.Subsequently,the interfacial melting mode and formation mechanisms are discussed.At the L/C interface,the keyhole melting mode induced by the high volumetric energy density(EL/C=319.4 J/mm3)results in a large penetration depth in the pre-solidified layer and enhances laser energy absorption,thus promoting the extensive migration of materials and intense intermixing of elements to form a wide diffusion zone(∼400μm).At the C/L interface,the conduction mode induced by the low volumetric energy density(EC/L=74.1 J/mm3)results in a narrow diffusion zone(∼160μm).The interfacial defects observed are primarily cracks and pores.More cracks appeared at the C/L interface,which is attributable to the weak bonding strength of the narrow diffusion zone.This study provides guidance and reference for the design and manufacturing of multimaterial components via LPBF using different building strategies. | Linqing Liu Di Wang Guowei Deng Yongqiang Yang Jie Chen Jinrong Tang Yonggang Wang Yang Liu Xusheng Yang Yicha Zhang | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering(Additive Manufacturing Frontiers)2022,1,3: | 0 |
| 15 | Influence Mechanism of Process Parameters on Relative Density, Influence Mechanism of Process Parameters on Relative Density, Microstructure, and Mechanical Properties of Low Sc-Content Al-Mg-Sc-Zr Alloy Fabricated by Selective Laser Melting显示文摘Additive manufacturing of Al-Mg-Sc-Zr alloys is a promising technique for the fabrication of lightweight components with complex shapes.In this study,the effect of the process parameters of selective laser melting(SLM)on the surface morphology,relative density,microstructure,and mechanical properties of Al-Mg-Sc-Zr high-strength aluminum alloys with low Sc content was systematically investigated.The results show that the energy density has an important effect on the surface quality and densification behavior of the Al-Mg-Sc-Zr alloy during the SLM process.As the energy density increased,the surface quality and the number of internal pores increased.However,the area of the fine-grained region at the boundary of the molten pool gradually decreased.When the laser energy density was set to 151.52 J/mm3,a low-defect sample with a relative density of 99.2%was obtained.After heat treatment,the area of the fine grains at the boundary increased significantly,thereby contributing to the excellent mechanical properties.The microstructure was characterized by a unique“fan-shaped”heterogeneous structure.As the energy density increased,the microhardness first increased and then decreased,reaching a maximum value of 122 HV0.3.With the optimized process parameters,the yield strength(YS),ultimate tensile strength(UTS),and elongation of the as-built Al-Mg-Sc-Zr alloys were 346.8±3.0 MPa,451.1±5.2 MPa,14.6%±0.8%,respectively.After heat treatment at 325°C for 8 h,the hardness increased by 38.5%to 169 HV0.3,and the YS and UTS increased by 41.3%and 18.1%,respectively,to 490.0±9.0 MPa and 532.7±7.8 MPa,respectively,while the elongation slightly decreased to 13.1%±0.7%. | Di Wang Yongwei Feng Linqing Liu Xiongmian Wei Yongqiang Yang Pan Yuan Yang Liu Changjun Han Yuchao Bai | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering(Additive Manufacturing Frontiers)2022,1,4: | 0 |
| 16 | More common RNAemia in the early stage of severe SARS-CoV-2 BF.7.14 infections in pediatric patients显示文摘The risk factors of severe infections in children during the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS‐CoV‐2)outbreak in Beijing remain elusive.SARS‐CoV‐2‐positive children admitted to the intensive care unit(ICU)with collected plasma specimens were enrolled and screened for common pathogens using capillary electrophoresis‐based multiplex PCR from December 12,2022,to January 24,2023.The SARS‐CoV‐2 subvariants were identified using next‐generation sequencing.Plasma was positive for two(positive;P),one(suspicious;S),or no(negative;N)SARS‐CoV‐2 genes were classified as plasmatic RNA‐positive(RNAemia;P+S)or without RNAemia(N).Clinical and laboratory data of the enrolled cases were then collected and analyzed.The 34 enrolled children included 26 males and 24 younger than three years.All were negative for other respiratory pathogens.BF.7.14(18/29)was the predominant subvariant.Viral loads in respiratory specimens,hours from symptom onset to the first respiratory specimen collection(time‐variable),with comorbidities and BF.7.14 and BA.5.2 distributions were significantly different in P vs.N and RNAemia vs.without RNAemia group.Among most cases,the T lymphocyte ratios decreased,while the cytokine level and the B lymphocyte ratio increased.The time variables were 2.22±2.05 and 4.00±2.49 days in BF.7.14 and BA.5.2 infections,respectively.In conclusion,SARS‐CoV‐2 was more likely to cause severe infections among males aged≤3 years old with comorbidities during the SARS‐CoV‐2 outbreak in Beijing,while RNAemia is more common in children at the early stage of severe BF.7.14 infections,and most had high cytokine levels and B‐cell activation. | Yu Sun Runan Zhu Yang Pan Ri De Shuang Liu Liping Jia Bing Lv Xiaoyun Li Dongmei Chen Yao Yao Dong Qu Daitao Zhang Linqing Zhao | 2024 | Biosafety and Health2024,6,1: | 0 |
| 17 | Human GSTs Polymorphisms in the Hakka Population of South China and Their Associations with Family History of Several Chronic Diseases显示文摘Objective To investigate the associations of genetic polymorphisms in GSTs genes of the Hakka population of south China with family histories of certain chronic diseases.Methods Five hundred and thirty‐nine healthy Hakka natives of Meizhou city of Guangdong province in south China were involved.The genotypes of GSTM1,GSTT1,GSTP1,GSTM3,and GSTA1 were determined using PCR and restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis.The observed polymorphisms were analyzed by Chi‐square and Hardy‐Weinberg equilibrium tests.Logistic regression analysis was used to determine the associations of the distributions of GST genotypes with family history of certain chronic diseases.Results The distributions of polymorphisms in GSTP1,GSTM3,and GSTA1 conformed to the Hardy‐Weinberg equilibrium.Compared to the Cantonese,the Hakka had a lower distribution of the GSTM3 deletion genotype (3.15% vs.11.9%).A weak association was observed between the GSTM1 genetic polymorphism and family history of hypertension.Alcohol drinkers had a higher frequency of the null‐GSTM1 genotype,while smokers had a higher frequency of a variant GSTP1 genotype.Conclusion The results suggest that the Hakka is a special and distinctive Han Chinese ethnic group with different GSTs genetic polymorphisms.Smoking and drinking might be related to the distribution of GST genotypes. | PAN ShangXia YANG XingFen YANG LinQing WEI Qing YANG Ying XU GuangNing LIN ZhongNing HUANG JunMing | 2011 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,5: | 0 |

| 19 | Mechanical Properties of a Eucalyptus-Based Oriented Oblique Strand Lumber for Structural Applications显示文摘Wood and wood-based composite materials have gained increasing attention in the sustainable building industry because of their renewability and environmental friendliness.Oriented oblique strand lumber(Eucalyptus Strand Wood,ESWood),which is manufactured from fast-growing small diameter eucalyptus wood(Eucalyptus urophylla×E.grandis),is introduced in this paper.Small clear specimen tests were conducted to determine the mechanical properties of ESWood material while full-scale component tests were performed to observe the structural performance of ESWood beams.A comparison of mechanical properties of ESWood with other wood/bamboo-based materials is then reported.From the results presented herein,it appears that the strength and stiffness properties of ESWood are affected by grain directionality and glued layers.However,it still has preferable mechanical properties as a building material,which is comparable or superior to those of other engineered wood/bamboo-based products(e.g.,Sitka spruce,LVL,OSL,Glulam,and Glubam).Furthermore,results from full-scale component tests show the stable mechanical performance of beams made by ESWood.This study makes a significant contribution to a potential utilization of fast-growing eucalyptus for general use in construction,and the presented mechanical tests results can serve as a fundamental data for more applications of ESWood in practical engineering. | Jiawei Chen Haibei Xiong Zhifang Wang Linqing Yang | 2019 | Journal of Renewable Materials2019,7,11: | 0 |
| 20 | A Promising Wound Dressing from Regenerated Silk Fibroin Sponge with Sustain-ed Release of Silver Nanoparticles显示文摘A silk fibroin(SF)spongy wound dressing incorporated with silver nanoparticles(Ag-NPs)was developed for biomedical applications.Ag-NPs were efficiently synthesized in situ via ultra violet(UV)with AgNO_(3) as precursor and silk fibroin as reducing and protecting agent,respectively.After lyophilization,the formed silk fibroin spongy wound dressing(SFWD)exhibited polyporous morphology and inner lamellae structures,with uniform dispersion of Ag-NPs.The porous structure provided SFWD with the ability to absorb tissue exudatealmost 6 times of its own weight,which could guarantee the sustained release of Ag-NPs.By methanol treatment,SFWD showed much improved mechanical properties and more stable to protease XIV.The cyto-compatibility of SFWD was supported by normal adherence and proliferation of NIH3T3 fibroblasts in sponges extracting culture medium.More important,the SFWD showed significant growth inhibition in both plate culture assays and bacterial suspension assays,with Gram-positive(Staphylococcus aureus)and Gram-negative(Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli).In a cutaneous excisional mouse model,the average healing rates of SFWD was significantly higher than control and commercial bandages.The hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining results of the wound section also showed that SFWD could recruit more cells and promote tissue formation on the wound edges. | Yang Li Xiaoying Zha Xingliang Xiong Yan Zhang Ying Feng Haojiang Xie Linqing Zhang Qifeng Jiang | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,2: | 0 |
