| 3 | Structure and photocatalytic properties of TiO_2-Graphene Oxide intercalated composite显示文摘TiO2-Graphene Oxide intercalated composite (TiO2-Graphene Oxide) has been successfully prepared at low temperature (80°C) with graphite oxide (GO) and titanium sulfate (Ti(SO4)2) as initial reactants.GO was firstly exfoliated by NaOH and formed single and multi-layered graphite oxide mixture which can be defined as graphene oxide,[TiO]2+ induced by the hydrolysis of Ti(SO4)2 diffused into graphene oxide interlayer by electrostatic attraction.The nucleation and growth of TiO2 crystallites took place at low temperature and TiO2-Graphene Oxide composite was successfully synthesized.Furthermore,the photocatalytic properties of TiO2-Graphene Oxide under the irradiation of UV light were also studied.The results show that the degradation rate of methyl orange is 1.16 mg min-1 g-1(refer to the efficiency of the initial 15 min).Compared with P25 powder,this kind of intercalation composite owns much better efficiency.On the other hand,the reusable properties and stable properties of TiO2-Graphene Oxide intercalated composite are also discussed in this paper.At last,crystalline structure,interface status,thermal properties and microscopic structure of TiO2-Graphene Oxide were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS),thermogravimetric analysis (TGA),field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and high-resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM).Also,we have analyzed major influencing factors and mechanism of the composite structures which evidently improve the photocatalytic properties. | ZHANG Qiong HE YunQiu CHEN XiaoGang HU DongHu LI LinJiang YIN Ting JI LingLi | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,3: | 14 |
| 4 | Texture control by {10-12} twinning to improve the formability of Mg alloys: A review显示文摘Texture control of wrought Mg alloys, particularly in rolled Mg alloy sheets, has been an important research topic for the past several decades because it has significant influence on stretch formability at room temperature. For Mg alloys, {10-12} twinning can be easily activated and causes a 86.3° lattice rotation. Thus, pre-twinning deformation is considered as an effective and low-cost method for texture control in wrought Mg and its alloys. Furthermore, it has been verified that texture control via pre-twinning deformation can remarkably improve stretch formability of rolled Mg alloy sheets. In this review, recent researches on texture control via twinning deformation and its influence on stretch formability will be critically reviewed. The main contents include the micro-mechanism and impact factors of control in twin-orientation, plastic processing techniques of pre-inducing twins and the application of pre-induced twins in improvement of stretch formability. | 5 | Electron backscatter diffraction investigation of duplex-phase microstructure in a forged Zr-2.5Nb alloy显示文摘Microstructural features of a duplex-phase Zr-2.5Nb alloy were investigated in detail using electron channeling contrast(ECC)imaging and electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)technique in an emission gun scanning electron microscope(FEGSEM).The excellent resolution provided by the FEGSEM promises the combined utilization of both techniques to be quite adequate for characterizing the duplex-phase microstructures.Results show that the microstructure of the Zr-2.5Nb alloy is composed of bulkαgrains(majority)in equiaxed or plate shape and thinβfilms(minority)surrounding the bulk grains,with their average grain size and thickness measured to be 1.4μm and 72 nm,respectively.Analyses onα-grain boundaries reveal a number of low angle boundaries,most of which belong to deformation-induced dislocation boundaries.Measurements on relative proportions of various Burgers boundaries suggest very weak(if any)variant selection duringβ→αcooling,which should be related to deformation-induced higher nucleation rate ofαphases.Compared to earlier attempts,more satisfactory indexing of fineβphases(down to nanoscale)is attained by the FEGSEM-based EBSD.Examples are presented to clearly reveal well-obeyed Burgers orientation relationships between adjacentαandβphases.Finally,it is deduced that continuing application of the FEGSEM-based EBSD to duplex-phase Zr alloys could help clarify controversies like the deformation priority of the two phases. | CHAI LinJiang WANG ShuYan LUAN BaiFeng LIU Qing | 2016 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2016,59,4: | 5 |

| 9 | A DFT study on PtMo resistance to SO_2 poisoning显示文摘Pt is a catalyst in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), and its activity will be degraded in the air due to the existence of SOx impurities. On strategy is introducing of Mo into the Pt catalyst because it can improve the SOx -tolerance capacity. Based on the aforementioned phenomenon, a density function theory (DFT) study on SO x adsorbed on Pt(111) and PtMo(111) was performed to enhance Pt catalytic activity. The adsorption energy of adsorbed species, the net change, partial density of state (PDOS), and d-band center were calculated and analyzed comparatively. The results show that the presence of Mo-atom weakens the S-Pt bond strength and reduces the adsorption energies for SO2 , S and SO3 on PtMo(111). | 10 | Inverse identification of constitutive parameters of Ti_2AlNb intermetallic alloys based on cooperative particle swarm optimization显示文摘Ti_2AlNb intermetallic alloy is a relatively newly developed high-temperature-resistant structural material, which is expected to replace nickel-based super alloys for thermally and mechanically stressed components in aeronautic and automotive engines due to its excellent mechanical properties and high strength retention at elevated temperature. The aim of this work is to present a fast and reliable methodology of inverse identification of constitutive model parameters directly from cutting experiments. FE-machining simulations implemented with a modified Johnson-Cook(TANH) constitutive model are performed to establish the robust link between observables and constitutive parameters. A series of orthogonal cutting experiments with varied cutting parameters is carried out to allow an exact comparison to the 2 D FE-simulations. A cooperative particle swarm optimization algorithm is developed and implemented into the Matlab programs to identify the enormous constitutive parameters. Results show that the simulation observables(i.e., cutting forces, chip morphologies, cutting temperature) implemented with the identified optimal material constants have high consistency with those obtained from experiments,which illustrates that the FE-machining models using the identified parameters obtained from the proposed methodology could be predicted in a close agreement to the experiments. | 12 | Deformation mode-determined misorientation and microstructural characteristics in rolled pure Zr sheet显示文摘In this work, commercially pure Zr sheets were subjected to β air cooling and then rolled to different reductions(10% and 50%)at room temperature. Microstructures of both the β-air-cooled and the rolled specimens were well characterized by electron channelling contrast imaging and electron backscatter diffraction techniques, with special attentions paid to their misorientation characteristics. Results show that the β-air-cooled specimen owns a Widmanst?tten structure featured by lamellar grains with typical phase transformation misorientations. The 10% rolling allows prismatic slip and tensile twinning({11-21}<11-2-6> and{10-12}<10-11>) to be activated profusely, which produce new low-angle(~3°–5°) and high-angle(~35° and ~85°) misorientation peaks, respectively. After increasing the rolling reduction to 50%, twinning is suppressed and dislocation slip becomes the dominant deformation mode, with the lamellar grains highly elongated and aligned towards the rolling direction.Meanwhile, only one strong low-angle misorientation peak related to the prismatic slip is presented in the 50%-rolled specimen,with all other peaks disappeared. Analyses on local misorientations reveal that hardly any residual strains exist in the β-air-cooled specimen, which should be related to their sufficient relaxation during slow cooling. | 17 | Microstructural characteristics of cold-rolled Zr-2.5Nb alloy annealed near the monotectoid temperature显示文摘A dual-phase Zr-2.5 Nb alloy was rolled at room temperature to 50% reduction and then annealed at two temperatures(560 and580°C) near the monotectoid temperature. X-ray diffraction, electron channeling contrast imaging and electron backscatter diffraction techniques were jointly used to characterize microstructural characteristics developed in the as-rolled and annealed specimens. Results show that plastic deformation occurs in both bulk α-Zr grains and thin β-Zr films during rolling, allowing large lattice strains to be accumulated in β-Zr and active dislocation slip(especially the prismatic áa?slip) to be initiated in α-Zr. During subsequent annealing at 580°C, the prior β-Zr films are transformed into submicron β-Zr particles, which lose coherency(the Burgers orientation relationship) with surrounding α grains. In the specimen annealed at 560°C, however, the prior β-Zr films are found to be decomposed into nanoscale β-Nb particles. In both the annealed specimens, the β-Zr and the β-Nb particles appeared to be linearly distributed along the rolling direction. Two types of α structures, i.e., small equiaxed crystallites formed by recovery of dislocation structures and coarse bamboo-like recrystallized grains, are revealed in the annealed specimens. | 18 | Bimodal plate structures induced by pulsed laser in duplex-phase Zr alloy显示文摘A duplex-phase Zr-2.5Nb alloy was treated by pulsed laser, followed by careful microstructural characterization using field emission gun scanning electron microscope and attached electron backscatter diffraction. Beneath the modification zones with common uniform α-plate structures(UPS), a layer of unreported bimodal α-plate structures(BPS) featured by coarse(submicron)plates forming multiple cores surrounded by dense fine(nanoscale) plates was found. Presence of such BPS is attributed to non-equilibrium thermodynamic conditions induced by the pulsed laser treatments. Limited diffusion of Nb due to the short pulse during laser heating allows β phases with distinctly different Nb contents to be presented: Nb-enriched prior β films and Nb-depleted β phases, transforming into the fine and the coarse plates during cooling, respectively. | 20 | ~1H MAS NMR spectra of kao-linite/formamide intercalation compound显示文摘The high spinning speed 1H magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (1H MAS NMR) technique was employed to distinguish the two groups of surface hy-droxyls of kaolinite and investigate the intercalation mechanism of kaolinite/formamide compound. The proton chemical shifts of the inner hydroxyl and inner surface hydroxyl of kaolinte are in the range of δ-1.3--0.9 and δ 2.4-3.0 respectively. After formamide intercalation three proton peaks were detected. The proton peak of the inner surface hydrox-yls of the intercalation compound shifts to high-field with δ2.3-2.7, which is assigned to the formation of the hydrogen bond between the inner surface hydroxyl and formamide carbonyl group. Whereas, the proton peak of the inner hydroxyl shifts to δ-0.3 toward low-field, that is attributed to van der Waal’s effect between the inner hydroxyl proton and the amino group proton of the formamide which may be keyed into the ditrigonal hole of the kaolinite.
