| 3 | Clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of primary liver cancer with integrative traditional Chinese and Western medicine显示文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) is an important part of the treatment of primary liver cancer(PLC) in China; however, the current instructions for the integrative use of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for PLC are mostly based on expert opinion. There is no evidence-based guideline for clinical practice in this field. Therefore, the Shanghai Association of Chinese Integrative Medicine has established amultidisciplinary working group to develop this guideline, which focuses on the most important questions about the use of TCM during PLC treatment. This guideline was developed following the methodological process recommended by the World Health Organization Handbook for Guideline Development.Two rounds of questionnaire survey were performed to identify clinical questions; published evidence was searched; the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation approach was used to evaluate the body of evidence; and recommendations were formulated by combining the quality of evidence, patient preferences and values, and other risk factors. The guideline was written based on the Reporting Items for Practice Guidelines in Healthcare tool. | 5 | Proteomic analysis reveals molecular biological details in varioliform gastritis without Helicobacter pylori infection显示文摘AIM:To investigate and elucidate the molecular mechanism underlying varioliform gastritis for early detection,prevention and intervention of gastric cancer.METHODS:A combination of two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry was used to detect the differentially expressed proteins between varioliform gastritis and matched normal mucosa.The selected proteins were confirmed by Western blotting and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) in additional samples and the function of some proteins in varioliform gastritis was analyzed by bio-method preliminarily.RESULTS:We identified 21 differentially expressed proteins in varioliform gastritis,and compared them with matched normal mucosa.Eleven proteins were upregulated and ten downregulated in varioliform gastritis when compared with the same proteins in individualmatched normal gastric mucosa.These proteins are related to metabolism,oxidation,cytoskeleton,apoptosis,signal transduction and other aspects of cells.Two novel proteins,thioredoxin domain-containing protein 5(TXNDC5) upregulated in varioliform gastritis,and neuropolypeptide h3 [phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein 1(PEBP1)] downregulated in varioliform gastritis,were further investigated.Their expressions were validated by Western blotting and RT-PCR in 12 cases of varioliform gastritis which was matched with normal mucosa.The expression level of PEBP1 in varioliform gastritis was significantly lower(P<0.05) while that of TXNDC5 was significantly higher than that in matched normal gastric mucosa(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:There are some changes of protein expression in varioliform gastritis.Downregulation of PEBP1 and upregulation of TXNDC5 are involved in the development of varioliform gastritis. | Lin Zhang Yan-Hong Hou Kai Wu Jun-Shan Zhai Nan Lin | 2010 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,29: | 22 |

In contrast, due to the hostile immunosuppressive microenvironment of a solid tumor, CAR T-cell accessibility and survival continue to pose a considerable challenge, which leads to their limited therapeutic efficacy. In this study, we constructed two anti-MUC1 CAR-T cell lines. One set of CAR-T cells contained SM3 single chain variable fragment(sc Fv) sequence specifically targeting the MUC1 antigen and co-expressing interleukin(IL) 12(named SM3-CAR). The other CAR-T cell line carried the SM3 sc Fv sequence modified to improve its binding to MUC1 antigen(named p SM3-CAR) but did not co-express IL-12. When those two types of CAR-T cells were injected intratumorally into two independent metastatic lesions of the same MUC1+ seminal vesicle cancer patient as part of an interventional treatment strategy, the initial results indicated no side-effects of the MUC1 targeting CAR-T cell approach, and patient serum cytokines responses were positive. | 8 | Distribution and source of microplastics in China's second largest reservoir-Danjiangkou Reservoir显示文摘Fresh water microplastic pollution is of pressing concern globally,but its distribution and sources in reservoirs are poorly documented.Danjiangkou Reservoir is the second largest reservoir in China and is divided into the Han Reservoir and Dan Reservoir.In this work,microplastic abundances and morphological characteristics of the reservoir were investigated.The microplastic abundance of 15 main tributaries of the reservoir was also measured.The vertical distribution(in water column and sediment),horizontal distribution(in Han Reservoir and Dan Reservoir)and source of microplastics were analyzed.Microplastics accumulated in the middle layer of the reservoir,and the size and color of the microplastic particles changed from the surface to the bottom,which implies that surveys of surface water are not enough to determine the microplastic contamination for deep water reservoirs.In the surface water,the microplastic abundance in the Han Reservoir was lower than that in the Dan Reservoir(p<0.05),but microplastic abundance did not differ significantly in the intermediate and bottom water.Tributaries were one of the main sources of microplastics for Han Reservoir but not for Dan Reservoir.Agricultural cultivation in the hydro-fluctuation belt might be an important source of microplastics in the Dan Reservoir,which should be given additional attention.The results of this study can provide valuable information for developing microplastic sampling strategies in deep water reservoirs.Further studies are recommended to investigate the process through which microplastics in the hydro-fluctuation belt enter the reservoir and the sinking behavior of microplastics in the reservoir. | Li Lin Xiong Pan Sheng Zhang Danwen Li Wenliang Zhai Zhen Wang Jingxiang Tao Changqing Mi Qingyun Li John C.Crittenden | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4: | 13 |
| 9 | Characteristics and Origin of Tight Oil Accumulations in the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation of the Ordos Basin,North-Central China显示文摘The Upper Triassic oil accumulations in the Ordos Basin is the most successful tight oil play in China,with average porosity values of less than 10% and permeability values below 1.0 mD.This study investigated the geological characteristics and origin of the tight oil accumulations in the Chang 6 member of the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Shanbei area based on over 50,000 petrological,source-rock analysis,well logging and production data.The tight oil accumulation of the Chang 6 member is distributed continuously in the basin slope and the centre of the basin.The oilwater relationships are complex.Laumontite dissolution pores are the most important storage spaces,constituting 30%-60% of total porosity and showing a strong positive relationship with oil production.The pore-throat diameter is less than 1 μm,and the calculated critical height of the oil column is much larger than the tight sand thickness,suggesting that the buoyancy was probably of limited importance for oil migration.The pressure difference between the source rocks and sandstone reservoirs is inferred to have provided driving force for hydrocarbon migration.Two factors of source-reservoir configuration and laumontite dissolution contributed to the formation of the Chang 6 tight oil accumulations.Intense hydrocarbon generation and continuous sand bodies close to the hydrocarbon kitchen are the foundation for the large-scale oil distribution.Dissolution of feldspar-laumontite during the process of organic matter evolution generated abundant secondary pores and improved the reservoir quality. | WU Songtao ZOU Caineng ZHU Rukai YAO Jingli TAO Shizhen YANG Zhi ZHAI Xiufen CUI Jingwei LIN Senhu | 2016 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2016,90,5: | 13 |
| 10 | Effect of roadway turnings on gas explosion propagation characteristics in coal mines显示文摘In order to reveal the effect of turnings on explosion propagation, experiments were performed in three different pipes (single bend, U-shaped pipe and Z-shaped pipe). Flame and pressure transducers were used to track the velocity at the explosion front. When the pipes were filled with methane, the explosion strength was significantly enhanced due to the turbulence induced by increasing the number of turnings, while the flame speed (S f) and peak overpressure (DP max) increased dramatically. In addition, the strength of the explosion increased in violence as a function of the number of turnings. However, when the bend was without methane, the turnings weakened the strength of the explosion compared with the ordinary pipe, shown by the decrease in the values of DP max and S f . In addition, the propagation characteristics in a U-shaped pipe were similar to those in a Z-shaped pipe and the values of DP max and S f were also close. The results show that the explosion propagation characteristics largely depend on gas distribution in the pipes and the number of turnings. | 12 | Carbon pools and fluxes in the China Seas and adjacent oceans显示文摘The China Seas include the South China Sea, East China Sea, Yellow Sea, and Bohai Sea. Located off the Northwestern Pacific margin, covering 4700000 km^2 from tropical to northern temperate zones, and including a variety of continental margins/basins and depths, the China Seas provide typical cases for carbon budget studies. The South China Sea being a deep basin and part of the Western Pacific Warm Pool is characterized by oceanic features; the East China Sea with a wide continental shelf, enormous terrestrial discharges and open margins to the West Pacific, is featured by strong cross-shelf materials transport; the Yellow Sea is featured by the confluence of cold and warm waters; and the Bohai Sea is a shallow semiclosed gulf with strong impacts of human activities. Three large rivers, the Yangtze River, Yellow River, and Pearl River, flow into the East China Sea, the Bohai Sea, and the South China Sea, respectively. The Kuroshio Current at the outer margin of the Chinese continental shelf is one of the two major western boundary currents of the world oceans and its strength and position directly affect the regional climate of China. These characteristics make the China Seas a typical case of marginal seas to study carbon storage and fluxes. This paper systematically analyzes the literature data on the carbon pools and fluxes of the Bohai Sea,Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and South China Sea, including different interfaces(land-sea, sea-air, sediment-water, and marginal sea-open ocean) and different ecosystems(mangroves, wetland, seagrass beds, macroalgae mariculture, coral reefs, euphotic zones, and water column). Among the four seas, the Bohai Sea and South China Sea are acting as CO_2 sources, releasing about0.22 and 13.86–33.60 Tg C yr^(-1) into the atmosphere, respectively, whereas the Yellow Sea and East China Sea are acting as carbon sinks, absorbing about 1.15 and 6.92–23.30 Tg C yr^(-1) of atmospheric CO_2, respectively. Overall, if only the CO_2 exchange at the sea-air interface is considered, the Chinese marginal seas appear to be a source of atmospheric CO_2, with a net release of 6.01–9.33 Tg C yr^(-1), mainly from the inputs of rivers and adjacent oceans. The riverine dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) input into the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and South China Sea are 5.04, 14.60, and 40.14 Tg C yr^(-1),respectively. The DIC input from adjacent oceans is as high as 144.81 Tg C yr^(-1), significantly exceeding the carbon released from the seas to the atmosphere. In terms of output, the depositional fluxes of organic carbon in the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and South China Sea are 2.00, 3.60, 7.40, and 5.92 Tg C yr^(-1), respectively. The fluxes of organic carbon from the East China Sea and South China Sea to the adjacent oceans are 15.25–36.70 and 43.93 Tg C yr^(-1), respectively. The annual carbon storage of mangroves, wetlands, and seagrass in Chinese coastal waters is 0.36–1.75 Tg C yr^(-1), with a dissolved organic carbon(DOC) output from seagrass beds of up to 0.59 Tg C yr^(-1). Removable organic carbon flux by Chinese macroalgae mariculture account for 0.68 Tg C yr^(-1) and the associated POC depositional and DOC releasing fluxes are 0.14 and 0.82 Tg C yr^(-1), respectively. Thus, in total, the annual output of organic carbon, which is mainly DOC, in the China Seas is 81.72–104.56 Tg C yr^(-1). The DOC efflux from the East China Sea to the adjacent oceans is 15.00–35.00 Tg C yr^(-1). The DOC efflux from the South China Sea is 31.39 Tg C yr^(-1). | 17 | Features and origin time of Mesozoic strike-slip structures in the Yilan-Yitong Fault Zone显示文摘The NE-striking Yilan-Yitong Fault Zone(YYFZ) with a length of ca. 900 km is an important major fault zone in northeastern China. Its origin has been a controversial issue for a long time. Detailed field investigation and comprehensive analyses show that strike-slip faults or ductile shear belts exist as the origination structures on the both shoulders of the Cretaceous-Paleogene grabens. These strike-slip structures are dominated by brittle transcurrent faults, and appear as ductile shear belts only in the Weiyuanpu-Yehe and Shulan parts in the south and middle of the fault zone, respectively. The shear belts strike NE-SW and show steep mylonitic foliation and gentle mineral elongation lineation. Outcrop structures, microstructures and quartz c-axis fabrics demonstrate a sinistral shear sense with minor reverse component for the ductile shear belts. The microstructures suggest deformation temperatures of 400–450°C for the Weiyuanpu-Yehe shear belts and 350–400°C for the Shulan shear belt. A series of zircon U-Pb dating results for deformed and undeformed plutons or dikes in the shear belts constrain the strike-slip motion to the time between 160 and 126 Ma. It is further inferred from ages of main geological events in this region that the fault zone originated in the earliest Early Cretaceous. It is suggested therefore that the southern and middle parts of the Tan-Lu Fault Zone, which originated in Middle Triassic, propagated into northeastern China along the sinistral YYFZ under the earliest Early Cretaceous regional compression that is referred to as the Yanshan B event. | 18 | A numerical simulation of the influence initial temperature has on the propagation characteristics of, and safe distance from, a gas explosion显示文摘A model roadway with a cross-sectional area of 80 mm 80 mm and a length of 100 m was used to estimate the overpressure, the temperature, the density, and the combustion rate during an explosion. Auto-ReaGas software was used for the calculations and the initial temperatures were 248, 268, 308, or 328 K. The methaneair mixture had a fuel concentration of 9.5% and the tunnel had a filling ratio of 10%. The results show that the safe distance necessary to avoid harm from the shock wave increases with increasing initial temperature. The distance where the peak overpressure begins to rise, and where the maximum value occurs, increases as the initial temperature increases. These are almost linear functions of the initial temperature. At locations before shock wave attenuation has occurred increasing the initial temperature linearly increases the maximum temperature at each point following along the tunnel. At the same time, the peak overpressure, the maximum density, and the maximum combustion rate decrease linearly. How-ever, after the shock wave has attenuated the attenuation extent of the peak overpressure decreases with an increase in initial temperature. The influence of the initial temperature on the explosion propagation depends on the combined effects of inhibiting and enhancing factors. | 19 | Achieving highly uniform two-dimensional PbI2 flakes for photodetectors via space confined physical vapor deposition显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D) PbI_2 flakes have been attracting intensive attention as one potential candidate for the modern optoelectronics. However, suffered from the instability of kinetics-driven growth, the fabricated 2D PbI_2 flakes have a wide dimensional distribution even under the same conditions. Herein, a novel facile space confined physical vapor deposition(PVD) process is provided to synthesize uniform triangle PbI_2 flakes with high quality. The confined space provides a relatively stable growth environment that renders more control on the growth kinetics, leading to highly uniform triangle PbI_2 flakes with the average size of 5 mm and thickness of 17 nm. Moreover, as-fabricated PbI_2-based photodetectors show promising stable and flexible optoelectronic performances to 470 nm light, including high responsivity(0.72 AW^(-1)), large on/off ratio up to 900, fast photoresponse speed(rise time of 13.5 ms and decay time of 20 ms) and high detectivity(1.04×10^(10) Jones). | 20 | Application of pressure relief and permeability increased by slotting a coal seam with a rotary type cutter working across rock layers显示文摘Pressure relief to increase permeability significantly improves gas extraction efficiency from coal seams.In this paper we report results from simulations using FLAC 3D code to analyze changes in coal displacement and stress after special drill slots were formed.We investigated the mechanism of pressure relief and permeability increase in a high-gas and low-permeability coal seam through the modeling of gas flow.This allows the development of the technology.Slotting across rock layers in the coal seam with a rotary type cutter was then applied in the field.The results show that pressure relief and permeability increases from slotting the coal seam can increase the transport and the fracture of the coal.This expands the range of pressure relief from the drilling and increases the exposed area of the seam.The total quantity of gas extracted from slotted bore holes was three times that seen with ordinary drilling.The concentration of gas extracted from the slotted drills was from two to three times that seen using ordinary drills.The gas flow was stable at 80%.Improved permeability and more efficient gas extraction are the result of the slotting.The roadway development rate is increased by 30-50% after gas drainage.This technology diminishes the lag between longwall production and roadway development and effectively prevents coal and gas outburst,which offers the prospect of broad application. | Shen Chunming Lin Baiquan Meng Fanwei Zhang Qizhi Zhai Cheng | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,4: | 10 |
