| 1 | Load diversity based optimal processing resource allocation for super base stations in centralized radio access networks显示文摘To reduce construction cost and energy consumption of cellular networks,the centralized radio access cellular network infrastructure with a Super BS(CSBS)architecture has been proposed.The CSBS architecture has the advantage that the centralized processing resource can be flexibly organized.However,the problem of low processing resource efficiency caused by load discrepancy of base stations still exists and the processing resource allocation methods for physical layer processing are not suitable for protocol processing.In this article,a framework for protocol processing resource management is designed and a load diversity based processing resource allocation(LDA)algorithm is proposed,which employs dynamic programming with the consideration of load discrepancy.Also,to support large mumber of BSs,a suboptimal algorithm hybrid load diversity based processing resource allocation(H-LDA)is also proposed.Simulation results show that LDA and H-LDA algorithm significantly outperforms the conventional methods,respectively,by more than 60%and 55%in the processing resource efficiency and the performance gap grows with the increasing BS number. | ZHAI GuoWei TIAN Lin ZHOU YiQing SHI JingLin | 2014 | Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,4: | 15 |

| 5 | Time-domain ICIC and optimized designs for 5G and beyond: a survey显示文摘Time-domain enhanced inter-cell interference coordination(eI CIC) is an effective technique to reduce the cross-tier inter-cell interference(ICI) in long term evolution(LTE)-based heterogeneous small cell networks(HetSCNs). This paper first clarifies two main communication scenarios in HetSCNs, i.e., macrocells deployed with femtocells(macro-femto) and with picocells(macro-pico). Then, the main challenges in HetSCNs, particularly the severe cross-tier ICI in macro-femto caused by femtocells with closed subscribe group(CSG) access or in macro-pico caused by picocells with range expansion are analyzed. Based on the prominent feature of dominant interference in HetSCNs, the main idea of time-domain interference coordination and two basic schemes in the eI CIC standardization, i.e., almost blank subframe(ABS) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing symbol shift are presented, with a systematic introduction to the interactions of these techniques with other network functions. Then, given macro-femto and macro-pico HetSCNs, an overview is provided on the advanced designs of ABS-based eI CIC, including self-optimized designs with regard to key parameters such as ABS muting ratio, and joint optimized designs of ABS-based eI CIC and other radio resource management techniques, such as user association and power control. | 6 | A Computing Resource Adjustment Mechanism for Communication Protocol Processing in Centralized Radio Access Networks显示文摘The centralized radio access cellular network infrastructure based on centralized Super Base Station(CSBS) is a promising solution to reduce the high construction cost and energy consumption of conventional cellular networks. With CSBS, the computing resource for communication protocol processing could be managed flexibly according the protocol load to improve the resource efficiency. Since the protocol load changes frequently and may exceed the capacity of processors, load balancing is needed. However, existing load balancing mechanisms used in data centers cannot satisfy the real-time requirement of the communication protocol processing. Therefore, a new computing resource adjustment scheme is proposed for communication protocol processing in the CSBS architecture. First of all, the main principles of protocol processing resource adjustment is concluded, followed by the analysis on the processing resource outage probability that the computing resource becomes inadequate for protocol processing as load changes. Following the adjustment principles, the proposed scheme is designed to reduce the processing resource outage probability based onthe optimized connected graph which is constructed by the approximate Kruskal algorithm. | 7 | Transplantation of Mesenchymal Stem Cells Attenuates Acute Liver Failure in Mice via an Interleukin-4-dependent Switch to the M2 Macrophage Anti-inflammatory Phenotype显示文摘Background and Aims:Transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)derived from bone marrow(BM)is an alternative treatment of acute liver failure(ALF)mainly be-cause of the resulting anti-inflammatory activity.It is not known how MSCs regulate local immune responses and liver regeneration.This study explored the effects of MSCs on hepatic macrophages and the Wnt signaling pathway in ALF.Methods:MSCs were isolated from BM aspirates of C57BL/6J mice,and transplanted in mice with ALF induced by D-galactosamine(D-Gal).The proliferation of hepato-cytes was assayed by immunohistochemical(IHC)staining of Ki-67 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA).The levels of key proteins in the Wnt signaling pathway were assayed by western blotting and cytokines were determined enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISAs).A mac-rophage polarization assay characterized the M1/M2 ratio.The potential role of interleukin-4(IL-4)in the biological ac-tivity of MSCs was determined by silencing of IL-4.Results:Transplantation of allogeneic MSCs significantly attenuated D-Gal-induced hepatic inflammation and promoted liver re-generation.MSC transplantation significantly promoted a phenotypic switch from proinflamatory M1 macrophages to anti-inflammatory M2 macrophages,leading to significant Wnt-3a induction and activation of the Wnt signaling path-way in mice with D-Gal-induced ALF.Of the paracrine fac-tors secreted by MSCs(G-CSF,IL-6,IL-1 beta,IL-4,and IL-17A),IL-4 was specifically induced following transplantation in the ALF model mice.The silencing of IL-4 significantly ab-rogated the phenotypic switch to M2 macrophages and the protective effects of MSCs in both the ALF model mice and a co-culture model in an IL-4 dependent manner.Conclu-sions:In vivo and in vitro studies showed that MSCs ame-liorated ALF through an IL-4-dependent macrophage switch toward the M2 anti-inflammatory phenotype.The findings may have clinical implications in that overexpression of IL-4 may enhance the therapeutic effects of allogeneic MSC transplantation in the treatment of ALF. | Jinglin Wang Haoran Ding Jingchao Zhou Senzhe Xia Xiaolei Shi Haozhen Ren | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,4: | 2 |

| 9 | Advanced Coverage Optimization Techniques for Small Cell Clusters显示文摘Coverage optimization is a main challenge for small cell clusters which are considered to be a promising solution to provide seamless cellular coverage for large indoor or outdoor areas. This paper focuses on small cell cluster coverage problems and proposes both centralized and distributed self-optimization methods. Modified Particle swarm optimization(MPSO) is introduced to centralized optimization which employs particle swarm optimization(PSO) and introduces a heuristic power control scheme to accelerate the algorithm to search for the global optimum solution. Distributed coverage optimization is modeled as a non-cooperative game, with a utility function considering both throughput and interference. An iterative power control algorithm is then proposed using game theory(DGT) which converges to Nash Equilibrium(NE). | 11 | Effect of arotinolol on right ventricular function in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy显示文摘Objective Dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) is generally considered to be accompanied by both left and right ventricular dysfunction,but most studies only analyze the left ventricular function. In this study,we evaluated the effect of arotinolol on right ventricular function in patients with DCM. Methods Right ventricular ejection fraction(RVEF) and right ventricular diameter(RVD) were measured by two-dimensional echocardiography(2-DE) in 33 DCM patients;RVEF measured by first-pass radionuclide angiography(FPRA) was compared with that by 2-DE. Results The treatment with arotinolol for one year resulted in a reduction in the right ventricular diameter(baseline,23.0 ± 8.3 mm vs after one-year treatment,20.7 ± 5.4 mm;P=0.004 ) and an associated increase in ejection fraction(baseline,36.9 ± 10.3% vs after one-year treatment,45.8 ± 9.6%;P < 0.001 ) ;there is a high correlation between the 2-DE method and radionuclide ventriculographic method. The correlation coefficient is 0.933(P<0.001) .
