2Flexible lead-free BFO-based dielectric capacitor with large energy density,superior thermal stability,and reliable bending endurance显示文摘As an essential energy-stored device,the inorganic dielectric film capacitor plays an irreplaceable role in high-energy pulse power technology area.In this work,propelled by the challenge of overcoming the bottlenecks of inflexibility and inferior energy storage density of the pure BiFeO3 films,the mica with high bendability and thermal stability is adopted as substrate,and the relaxor ferroelectric(Sr_(0.7)Bi_(0.2))TiO_(3) is introduced to form solid solution to introduce relaxor behavior.The subsequently fabricated 0.3Bi(Fe_(0.95)Mn_(0.05))O_(3)-0.7(Sr_(0.7)Bi_(0.2))TiO_(3)(BFMO-SBT)thin film capacitor exhibits a high recoverable energy storage density(W_(rec)=61 J cm^(-3))and a high efficiency(η=75%)combined with a fast discharging rate(23.5 μs)due to the large polarization difference(ΔP=59.4 μC cm^(-2)),high breakdown strength(E_(b)=3000 kV cm^(-1)),and the strong relaxor dispersion(γ=1.78).Of particular importance is the capacitor presents excellent stability of energy storage performance,including a wide working temperature window of -50-200℃,fatigue endurance of 108 cycles,and frequency range of 500 Hz-20 kHz.Furthermore,there are no obviously deteriorations on energy storage capability under various bending states and after 104 times of mechanical bending cycles.All these results indicate that BFMO-SBT on mica film capacitor has potential application in the future flexible electronics.Changhong Yang Jin Qian Panpan Lv Haitao Wu Xiujuan Lin Kun Wang Jun Ouyang Shifeng Huang Xin Cheng Zhenxiang Cheng 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,1:4
3Exercise promotes angiogenesis by enhancing endothelial cell fatty acid utilization via liver-derived extracellular vesicle miR-122-5p显示文摘Background:Angiogenesis constitutes a major mechanism responsible for exercise-induced beneficial effects.Our previous study identified a cluster of differentially expressed extracellular vesicle microRNAs(miRNAs)after exercise and found that some of them act as exerkines.However,whether these extracellular vesicle miRNAs mediate the exercise-induced angiogenesis remains unknown.Methods:A 9-day treadmill training was used as an exercise model in C57BL/6 mice.Liver-specific adeno-associated virus 8 was used to knock down microRNA-122-5p(miR-122-5p).Human umbilical vein endothelial cells were used in vitro.Results:Among these differentially expressed extracellular vesicle miRNAs,miR-122-5p was identified as a potent pro-angiogenic factor that activated vascular endothelial growth factor signaling and promoted angiogenesis both in vivo and in vitro.Exercise increased circulating levels of miR-122-5p,which was produced mainly by the liver and shuttled by extracellular vesicles in mice.Inhibition of circulating miR-122-5p or liver-specific knockdown of miR-122-5p significantly abolished the exercise-induced pro-angiogenic effect in skeletal muscles,and exerciseimproved muscle performance in mice.Mechanistically,miR-122-5p promoted angiogenesis through shifting substrate preference to fatty acids in endothelial cells,and miR-122-5p upregulated endothelial cell fatty-acid utilization by targeting 1-acyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase(AGPAT1).In addition,miR-122-5p increased capillary density in perilesional skin tissues and accelerated wound healing in mice.Conclusion:These findings demonstrated that exercise promotes angiogenesis through upregulation of liver-derived extracellular vesicle miR-122-5p,which enhances fatty acid utilization by targeting AGPAT1 in endothelial cells,highlighting the therapeutic potential of miR-122-5p in tissue repair.Jing Lou Jie Wu Mengya Feng Xue Dang Guiling Wu Hongyan Yang Yan Wang Jia Li Yong Zhao Changhong Shi Jiankang Liu Lin Zhao Xing Zhang Feng Gao 2022Journal of Sport and Health Science2022,11,4:4

5Monolithic superaligned carbon nanotube composite with integrated rewriting, actuating and sensing multifunctions显示文摘Multifunctionality has become a mainstream trend in the development of smart clothing and flexible wearable devices.Nevertheless,it remains a grand challenge to realize multiple functions,such as sensing,actuating and information displaying,in one single multifunctional material.Here,we present one multifunctional integration strategy by employing monolithic superaligned carbon nanotube(SACNT)composite,which can leverage three different functions through fascinating features of SACNT.Firstly,by using thermochromic dye as a color-memorizing component and SACNT as a photothermal converter,the composite film can be utilized as a flexible rewritable medium.It demonstrates excellent rewriting performances(reversibility>500 times).Secondly,the composite can be tailored to fabricate an actuator,when its length direction is along the SACNT alignment.The actuator shows a bending-morphing when illuminated by near-infrared light.The morphing is attributed to a large difference in volume change between the SACNT and polymer when the SACNT absorbs the optical energy and heats the composite.Thirdly,owing to the unique anisotropy of SACNT,the composite is easily to be stretched in the direction perpendicular to the SACNT alignment,accompanied by a change in electrical resistance.Therefore,the composite is able to be used as a strain sensor.Finally,we fabricate two smart wearable devices to demonstrate the applications,which realize the functions of human-motion detection(sensing)and rewritable information display(rewriting)simultaneously.This multifunctional SACNT composite is expected to have potential applications in the next-generation wearable devices,smart clothing and so on.Peidi Zhou Wei Zhang Luzhuo Chen Jian Lin Zhiling Luo Changhong Liu Kaili Jiang 2021Nano Research2021,14,7:2

10Unbiased transcriptomic analyses reveal distinet effects of immune deficiency in CNS function with and without injury显示文摘The mammalian central nervous system (CNS) is considered an immune privileged system as it is separated from the periphery by the blood brain barrier (BBB). Yet, immune functions have been postulated to heavily influence the functional state of the CNS, especially after injury or during neurodegeneration. There is controversy regarding whether adaptive immune responses are beneficial or detrimental to CNS injury repair. In this study, we utilized immunocompromised SCID mice and subjected them to spinal cord injury (SCI). We analyzed motor function, electrophysiology, histochemistry, and performed unbiased RNA-sequencing. SCID mice displayed improved CNS functional recovery compared to WT mice after SCI. Weighted gene-coexpression network analysis (WGCNA) of spinal cord transcriptomes revealed that SCID mice had reduced expression of immune function-related genes and heightened expression of neural transmission-related genes after SCI, which was confirmed by immunohistochemical analysis and was consistent with better functional recovery. Transcriptomic analyses also indicated heightened expression of neurotransmission-related genes before injury in SCID mice, suggesting that a steady state of immune-deficiency potentially led to CNS hyper-connectivity. Consequently, SCID mice without injury demonstrated worse performance in Morris water maze test. Taken together, not only reduced inflammation after injury but also dampened steady-state immune function without injury heightened the neurotransmission program, resulting in better or worse behavioral outcomes respectively. 12Deep learning quantified mucus-tumor ratio predicting survival of patients with colorectal cancer using whole-slide images显示文摘Background:In colorectal cancer(CRC),mucinous adenocarcinoma differs from other adenocarcinomas in gene-phenotype,morphology,and prognosis.However,mucinous components are present in a large number of adenocarcinomas,and the prognostic value of mucus proportion has not been investigated.Artificial intelligence provides a way to quantify mucus proportion on whole-slide images(WSIs)accurately.We aimed to quantify mucus proportion by deep learning and further investigate its prognostic value in two CRC patient cohorts.Methods:Deep learning was used to segment WSIs stained with hematoxylin and eosin.Mucus-tumor ratio(MTR)was defined as the proportion of mucinous component in the tumor area.A training cohort(N=419)and a validation cohort(N=315)were used to evaluate the prognostic value of MTR.Survival analysis was performed using the Cox proportional hazard model.Result:Patients were stratified tomucus-low andmucus-high groups,with 24.1%as the threshold.In the training cohort,patients with mucus-high had unfavorable outcomes(hazard ratio for high vs.low 1.88,95%confidence interval 1.18–2.99,P=0.008),with 5-year overall survival rates of 54.8%and 73.7%in mucus-high and mucus-lowgroups,respectively.The resultswere confirmed in the validation cohort(2.09,1.21–3.60,0.008;62.8%vs.79.8%).The prognostic value of MTR was maintained in multivariate analysis for both cohorts.Conclusion:The deep learning quantified MTR was an independent prognostic factor in CRC.With the advantages of advanced efficiency and high consistency,our method is suitable for clinical application and promotes precision medicine development.Ke Zhao Lin Wu Yanqi Huang Su Yao Zeyan Xu Huan Lin Huihui Wang Yanting Liang Yao Xu Xin Chen Minning Zhao Jiaming Peng Yuli Huang Changhong Liang Zhenhui Li Yong Li Zaiyi Liu 2021Precision Clinical Medicine2021,4,1:0

14Prognostic value of a modified Immunoscore in patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅲ resectable colon cancer显示文摘Objective: The Immunoscore method has proved fruitful for predicting prognosis in patients with colon cancer.However, there is still room for improvement in this scoring method to achieve further advances in its clinical translation. This study aimed to develop and validate a modified Immunoscore(IS-mod) system for predicting overall survival(OS) in patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅲ colon cancer.Methods: The IS-mod was proposed by counting CD3+ and CD8+ immune cells in regions of the tumor core and its invasive margin by drawing two lines of interest. A discovery cohort(N=212) and validation cohort(N=103)from two centers were used to evaluate the prognostic value of the IS-mod.Results: In the discovery cohort, 5-year survival rates were 88.6% in the high IS-mod group and 60.7% in the low IS-mod group. Multivariate analysis confirmed that the IS-mod was an independent prognostic factor for OS[adjusted hazard ratio(HR)=0.36, 95% confidence interval(95% CI): 0.20-0.63]. With less annotation and computation cost, the IS-mod achieved performance comparable to that of the Immunoscore-like(IS-like) system(C-index, 0.676 vs. 0.661, P=0.231). The 2-category IS-mod using 47.5% as the threshold had a better prognostic value than that using a fixed threshold of 25%(C-index, 0.653 vs. 0.573, P=0.004). Similar results were confirmed in the validation cohort.Conclusions: Our method simplifies the annotation and accelerates the calculation of Immunoscore method,thus making it easier for clinical implementation. The IS-mod achieved comparable prognostic performance when compared to the IS-like system in both cohorts. Besides, we further found that even with a small reference set(N≥120), the IS-mod still demonstrated a stable prognostic value. 16Achieving both large piezoelectric constant and low dielectric loss in BiScO_(3)-PbTiO_(3)-Bi(Mn_(2/3)Sb_(1/3))O_(3)high-temperature piezoelectric ceramics显示文摘BiScO_(3)-PbTiO_(3)binary ceramics own both high Curie temperature and prominent piezoelectric properties,while the high dielectric loss needs to be reduced substantially for practical application especially at high temperatures.In this work,a ternary perovskite system of(1-x-y)BiScO3-yPbTiO3-xBi(Mn_(2/3)Sb_(1/3))O_(3)(BS-yPT-xBMS)with x=0.005,y=0.630-0.645 and x=0.015,y=0.625-0.640 was prepared by the traditional solid-state reaction method.The phase structure,microstructure,dielectric/piezoelec­tric/ferroelectric properties were studied.Among BS-yPT-xBMS ceramic series,the BS-0.630PT-0.015BMS at morphotropic phase boundary possesses the reduced dielectric loss factor(tanδ=1.20%)and increased mechanical quality factor(Qm=84),and maintains a high Curie temperature(TC=410°C)and excellent piezoelectric properties(d_(33)=330 pC/N)simultaneously.Of particular importance,at elevated temperature of 200°C,the value of tanδis only increased to 1.59%.All these properties indicate that the BS-0.630PT-0.015BMS ceramic has great potential for application in high-temperature piezoelectric devices.Yunyun Feng Changhong Yang Xiaoying Guo Wei Sun Wenxuan Wang Xiujuan Lin Shifeng Huang 2022Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2022,12,6:0
17Influence of the prestressed layer on spherical transducer in sound radiation performance显示文摘To improve the acoustic radiation performance of the spherical transducer,a prestressed layer is formed in the transducer through fiber winding.The influence of the prestressed layer on the transducer is studied from the effects of the radial prestress(Tr)and acoustic impedance,respectively.First,a theoretical estimation of Tr is established with a thin shell approximation of the prestressed layer.Then,the acoustic impedance is measured to evaluate the efficiency of sound energy transmission within the prestressed layer.Further,the ideal effects of Tr on the sound radiation performances of the transducer are analyzed through finite element analysis(FEA).Finally,four spherical transducers are fabricated and tested to investigate their dependence of actual properties on the prestressed layer.The results show that with the growth of Tr,the acoustic impedance of the prestressed layer grows,mitigating the enormous impedance mismatch between the piezoelectric ceramic and water,while increasing attenuation of the acoustic energy,resulting in a peak value of the maximum transmitting voltage response(TVRmax)at 1.18 MPa.The maximum drive voltage increases with Tr,leading to a steady growth of the maximum transmitting sound level(SLmax),with a noticeable ascend of 3.9 dB at a 3.44 MPa Tr.This is a strong credibility that the prestressed layer could improve the sound radiation perfor­mance of the spherical transducer.Xiaofang Zhang Xiujuan Lin Rui Guo Changhong Yang Hui Zhao Mingyu Zhang Yan Wang Xin Cheng Shifeng Huang 2022Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2022,12,6:0
18Stable self-polarization in lead-free Bi(Fe_(0.93)Mn_(0.05)Ti_(0.02))O_(3)thick films显示文摘The BiFeO3-based film is one of the most promising candidates for lead-free piezoelectric film devices.In this work,the 1μm-thick Bi(Fe_(0.93)Mn_(0.05)Ti_(0.02))O_(3)(BFMT)films are grown on the ITO/glass substrate using a sol-gel method combined with spin-coating and layer-by-layer annealing technique.These films display a large saturated polarization of 95μC/cm^(2),and a rema­nent polarization of 70μC/cm^(2).Especially,the films are self-poled caused by an internal bias field,giving rise to asymmetric polarization-electric field(P-E)loops with a positive shift along the x-axis.A stable self-polarization state is maintained during the applied electric field increasing to 1500 kV/cm and then decreasing back.The weak dependence of P-E loops on frequency(1-50 kHz)and temperature(25-125°C)indicate that the internal bias field can be stable within a certain frequency and tempera­ture range.These results demonstrate that the self-polarized BFMT thick films can be integrated into devices without any poling process,with promising applications in micro-electro-mechanical systems.Mengjia Fan Xinyu Bu Wenxuan Wang Wei Sun Xiujuan Lin Shifeng Huang Changhong Yang 2022Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2022,12,6:0
19IL-21 regulates macrophage activation in human monocytic THP-1-derived macrophages显示文摘Background:Interleukin-21(IL-21)has a regulatory effect on various immune cells.Its effect on macrophage function remains unclear.Aims:This study aimed to investigate the effect of IL-21 on the macrophagesmediated inflammatory response and explore its mechanism.Materials&Methods:Phorbol myristate acetate was used to induce THP-1-derived macrophages.Then,cells were stimulated with IL-21 and/or lipopolysaccharide(LPS).To determine the effect of IL-21 on the production of inflammatory factors in THP-1-derived macrophages,the messenger RNA(mRNA)and protein levels of IL-6,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),IL-8,and IL-10 were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),respectively.Meanwhile,to explore the effect of IL-21 on macrophage polarization,macrophage phenotype,gene expression,and cytokine secretion mediated by THP-1-derived macrophage were detected by flow cytometry,RT-PCR,and ELISA.Results:First,we found that the IL-21 receptor was expressed in THP-1-derived macrophages.IL-21 enhanced LPS-mediated TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-10 production in THP-1-derived macrophages.During the polarization of THP-1-derived macrophages to M1-like macrophages,IL-21 induced the expression of macrophage surface markers CD86 and CD80,and related genes,such as TNF-α,IL-6,IL-1β,and DC-SIGN mRNA,inhibited Dectin-1 mRNA expression and promoted the secretion of TNF-α.During the polarization of THP-1-derived macrophages to M2-like macrophages,IL-21 enhanced the expression of macrophage surface markers CD86 and CD163,and related genes,such as TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-10,Dectin-1,and DC-SIGN mRNA,and promoted the secretion of IL-10.Conclusion:IL-21 promotes LPS-mediated production of inflammatory cytokines by THP-1-derived macrophages;IL-21 plays a two-way regulatory role in THP-1-derived macrophage polarization.Leilei Jian Changhong Li Lin Sun Zhenzhen Ma Xinyu Wang Ruohan Yu Xiangyuan Liu Jinxia Zhao 2021Rheumatology & Autoimmunity2021,1,1:0
20Intraspecific variation in shoot flammability in Dracophyllum rosmarinifolium is not predicted by habitat environmental conditions显示文摘Background:Flammability is a compound plant trait that can vary significantly across natural populations within species.Investigating intraspecific variation in flammability provides insights into the evolution of plant flam-mability and inform understanding of wildfire risk and behaviour in different habitats.Methods:We measured four flammability variables,representing ignitibility(time to ignition),sustainability(total burning time),combustibility(maximum temperature during burning)and consumability(percentage of biomass consumed by fire)to assess the shoot-level flammability of Dracophyllum rosmarinifolium(G.Forst.)(Ericaceae),a polymorphic endemic species distributed throughout New Zealand.We examined the relationship between flammability components and a suite of climatic and geographic variables(elevation,latitude,mean annual temperature(MAT),mean annual rainfall(MAR)of the sample locations,etc.).Results:We measured shoot-level flammability components of 62 individuals across eight populations.Burning time,maximum temperature and burnt biomass were positively correlated with each other,while ignition score was independent of other flammability components.All flammability components varied significantly across the eight populations.The habitat conditions we considered were not related to any of the shoot-level flammability components of D.rosmarinifolium.Conclusions:Intraspecific variation in flammability in D.rosmarinifolium may be a byproduct of selection on other functional traits,such as leaf size,shoot lipid content,indicating that plant flammability is an incidental result,rather than selected for,at least in ecosystems without fire as a selective force.Xinglei Cui Adrian M.Paterson George LW.Perry Sarah V.Wyse Md Azharul Alam Congde Huang Shixing Zhou Lin Xiao Changhong Lai Fang He Dongyu Cao Kate Marshall Timothy J.Curran 2022Forest Ecosystems2022,9,2:0
