1Periodicity of Holocene climatic variations in the Huguangyan Maar Lake显示文摘There exist five primary periods of 2 930, 1 140, 490, 250 and 220 a in the Holocene climatic variations in the Huguangyan Maar Lake, according to the energy-spectrum and filter analyses of high-resolution time sequences (10-15 a) of the sediment dry density. The peak values of the three temperature-decreasing periods with the 2 930 a cycle occur at about 7 300, 4 250 and 1 200 Cal. aBP. There are 7-8 temperature-decreasing periods with the 1 140 a cycle, and the climate fluctuation range is largest in the early Holocene, and reduces gradually in the middle and late Holocene. 2Palaeoenvironmental changes from pollen record in deep sea core PC-1 from northern Okinawa Trough,East China Sea during the past 24 ka显示文摘A pollen record of core PC-1 from the northern Okinawa Trough,East China Sea(ECS),provides information on vegetation and climate changes since 24 cal.kaBP.A total of 103 samples were palynologically analyzed at 8 cm intervals with a time resolution of 230 a.Four pollen zones are recognized:zone I(812―715 cm,24.2―21.1 cal.kaBP),zone II(715―451 cm,21.1―15.2 cal.kaBP),zone III(451―251 cm,15.2―10.8 cal.kaBP),zone IV(251―0 cm,10.8―0.3 cal.kaBP),corresponding to Late MIS 3,Last Glacial Maximum(LGM),deglaciation and Holocene,respectively.The LGM is characterized by the dominance of herbs,mainly Artemisia,and high pollen influx,implying an open vegetation on the exposed continental shelf and a cool and dry climate.The deglaciation is a climate warming stage with Pinus percentage increased and Artemisia percentage decreased and a rapid sealevel rise.The Holo-cene is characterized by predominance of tree pollen with rapid increase in Castanea-Castanopsis in-dicating the development of mixed evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved forest and a warm,humid climate.Low pollen influx during the Holocene probably implies submergence of the continental shelf and retreat of the pollen source area.The vegetation indicated by pollen assemblage found in this upper zone is consistent with the present vegetation found in Kyushu,Japan.Originating from the humid mountain area of North Luzon of the Philippines,Tasmania and New Zealand,Phyllocladus with sporadic occurrence throughout PC-1 core probably suggests the influence of Palaeo-Kuroshio Current or intense summer monsoon.The observed changes in Pinus and Herbs percentage indicate fluctuations of the sea level,and high Pinus percentage corresponds to high sea level.Spectrum analysis of the pollen percentage record reveals many millennial-scale periodicities,such as periodicities of 6.8,3.8,2.2,1.6 ka.XU HongYan CHANG FengMing LUO YunLi SUN XiangJun 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,20:9
3Vegetation evolution and its response to climatic change during 3.15-0.67 Ma in deep-sea pollen record from northern South China Sea显示文摘In order to study vegetation evolution and environmental change during 3.15-0.67 Ma,a total of 608 pollen samples with an average time resolution of 4 ka has been analyzed from ODP Site 1145(water depth 3175 m),northern South China Sea.The deep-sea sediments(213.62-91.9 m) cover from 3.15 to 0.67 Ma based on micropaleonotological stratigraphy.The characteristic features of the pollen diagram include that,pollen influx rises twice obviously around 2.58 Ma and during 2.0-1.8 Ma,in response to global climatic cooling and winter monsoon enhancement.Before 2.58 Ma,tropical and subtropical vegetation,mainly evergreen Quercus(E) and Altingia,predominated around northern SCS with much more tropical montane conifers and ferns relatively.From 2.58 Ma,temperate vegetation increased obviously,implying climatic cooling and winter monsoon enhancement.Spectral analysis shows that percentage variation in tropical and subtropical taxa has a strong 20 ka procession cycle probably due to the summer monsoon;while pollen influx has 100,41 and 19 ka cycles,indicating the sea level and winter monsoon change response to the ice-sheet variations.LUO YunLi SUN XiangJun 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,3:4
4Rapid isolation and immune profiling of SARS-CoV-2 specific memory B cell in convalescent COVID-19 patients via LIBRA-seq显示文摘B cell response plays a critical role against SARS-CoV-2 infection.However,little is known about the diversity and frequency of the paired SARS-CoV-2 antigen-specific BCR repertoire after SARS-CoV-2 infection.Here,we performed single-cell RNA sequencing and VDJ sequencing using the memory and plasma B cells isolated from five convalescent COVID-19 patients,and analyzed the spectrum and transcriptional heterogeneity of antibody immune responses.Via linking BCR to antigen specificity through sequencing(LIBRA-seq),we identified a distinct activated memory B cell subgroup(CD11c^(high) CD95^(high))had a higher proportion of SARS-CoV-2 antigen-labeled cells compared with memory B cells.Our results revealed the diversity of paired BCR repertoire and the non-stochastic pairing of SARS-CoV-2 antigen-specific immunoglobulin heavy and light chains after SARS-CoV-2 infection.The public antibody clonotypes were shared by distinct convalescent individuals.Moreover,several antibodies isolated by LIBRA-seq showed high binding affinity against SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain(RBD)or nucleoprotein(NP)via ELISA assay.Two RBD-reactive antibodies C14646P3S and C2767P3S isolated by LIBRA-seq exhibited high neutralizing activities against both pseudotyped and authentic SARS-CoV-2 viruses in vitro.Our study provides fundamental insights into B cell response following SARS-CoV-2 infection at the single-cell level.Bing He Shuning Liu Yuanyuan Wang Mengxin Xu Wei Cai Jia Liu Wendi Bai Shupei Ye Yong Ma Hengrui Hu Huicui Meng Tao Sun Yanling Li Huanle Luo Mang Shi Xiangjun Du Wenjing Zhao Shoudeng Chen Jingyi Yang Haipeng Zhu Yusheng Jie Yuedong Yang Deyin Guo Qiao Wang Yuwen Liu Huimin Yan Manli Wang Yao-Qing Chen 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6:2
5Machine learning-based estimates of aboveground biomass of subalpine forests using Landsat 8 OLI and Sentinel-2B images in the Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve,Eastern Tibet Plateau显示文摘Accurate estimates of forest aboveground biomass(AGB)are critical for supporting strategies of ecosystem conservation and climate change mitigation.The Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve,located in Eastern Tibet Plateau,has rich forest resources on steep slopes and is very sensitive to climate change but plays an important role in the regulation of regional carbon cycles.However,an estimation of AGB of subalpine forests in the Nature Reserve has not been carried out and whether a global biomass model is available has not been determined.To provide this information,Landsat 8 OLI and Sentinel-2B data were combined to estimate subalpine forest AGB using linear regression,and two machine learning approaches–random forest and extreme gradient boosting,with 54 inventory plots.Regardless of forest type,Observed AGB of the Reserve varied from 61.7 to 475.1 Mg hawith an average of 180.6 Mg ha.Results indicate that integrating the Landsat 8 OLI and Sentinel-2B imagery significantly improved model efficiency regardless of modelling approaches.The results highlight a potential way to improve the prediction of forest AGB in mountainous regions.Modelled AGB indicated a strong spatial variability.However,the modelled biomass varied greatly with global biomass products,indicating that global biomass products should be evaluated in regional AGB estimates and more field observations are required,particularly for areas with complex terrain to improve model accuracy.Ke Luo Yufeng Wei Jie Du Liang Liu Xinrui Luo Yuehong Shi Xiangjun Pei Ningfei Lei Ci Song Jingji Li Xiaolu Tang 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,4:2
6A Preliminary Study on Fertilization Biology between Epinephelus coioides(♀) and Epinephelus lanceolatus(♂)显示文摘Crossbreeding between Epinephelus coioides( ♀) and Epinephelus lanceolatus(♂) was conducted by artificial insemination. Fertilized eggs were collected at 0,30,90 s,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 min post-insemination respectively,which were fixed by Smith's solution,embedded by paraffins and stained by H. E. According to the characteristics of Epinephelus coioides eggs,tissue section method was modified. The results showed that the sperms of Epinephelus lanceolatus rapidly entered the eggs of Epinephelus coioides at 30 s- 1min post-insemination. Observation results of tissue sections showed that mature eggs of Epinephelus coioides remained at metaphase of secondary maturation division. The eggs were activated after sperm penetration into the egg. With the development of secondary maturation division,at 2 min post-insemination,eggs reached the metaphase of secondary maturation division; at 3- 6 min post-insemination,sperm asters appeared; at 5 min post-insemination,eggs extruded secondary polar body; at 7- 15 min post-insemination,male pronucleus and female pronucleus moved closer to each other and fused finally,forming a clear junction line; subsequently,zygote nucleus formed and karyotheca became faint; at 15 min post-insemination,first karyokinetic division was developed.Tingchang WU Jian LUO Mengmeng CHEN Guohua CHEN Xiangjun MENG 2014Agricultural Biotechnology2014,3,2:2

8Prediction of water table depths under soil water-groundwater interaction and stream water conveyance显示文摘Water table over an arid region can be elevated to a critical level to sustain terrestrial ecosystem along the natural channel by the stream water conveyance. Estimation of water table depth and soil moisture on river channel profile may be reduced to a two-dimensional moving boundary problem with soil water-groundwater interaction. The two-dimensional soil water flow with stream water transferred is divided into an unsaturated vertical soil water flow and a horizontal groundwater flow. Therefore, a prediction model scheme for water table depths under the interaction between soil water and groundwater with stream water transferred is presented, which includes a vertical soil water movement model, a horizontal groundwater movement model, and an interface model. The synthetic experiments are conducted to test the sensitivities of the river elevation, horizontal conductivity, and surface flux, and the results from the experiments show the robustness of the proposed scheme under different conditions. 17Study of Fractal Characteristics of the Cementation Index in Shale Gas显示文摘The description of pores and fracture structures is a consistently important issue and certainly a difficult problem, especially for shale or tight rocks. However, the exploitation of so-called unconventional energy, such as shale methane and tight-oil, has become more and more dependent on an understanding of the inner structure of these unconventional reservoirs. The inner structure of porous rocks is very difficult to describe quantitatively using normal mathematics, but fractal geometry, which is a powerful mathematical tool for describing irregularly-shaped objects, can be applied to these rocks. To some degree, the cementation index and tortuosity can be used to describe the complexity of these structures. The cementation index can be acquired through electro-lithology experiments, but, until now, tortuosity could not be quantitatively depicted. This research used the well-logging curves of a gas shale formation to reflect the characteristics of the rock formations, and the changes in the curves to indicate the changes of the rock matrix, the pores, the connections among the pores, the permeability, and the fluid type. The curves that are affected most by the rock lithology, such as gamma ray, acoustic logging, and deep resistivity curves, can provide significant information about the micro-or nanostructure of the rocks. If the rock structures have fractal characteristics, the logging curves will also have fractal properties. Based on the definition of a fractal dimension and the Hausdorff dimension, this paper presents a new methodology for calculating the fractal dimensions of logging curves. This paper also reveals the deep meaning of the rock cementation index, m, through the Hausdorff dimension, and provides a new equation to calculate this parameter through the resistivity and porosity of the formation. Although it represents a very important relationship between the saturation of hydrocarbons with pores and resistivity, the Archie formula was not available for shale and tight rock. The major reason for this was an incorrect understanding of the cementation index, and the calculation of saturation used a single m value from the bottom to the top of the well. Unfortunately, this processing method is clearly inappropriate for the intensely heterogeneous material that is shale and tight rock. 20Deep sea pollen record during 12-1.6 Ma from the southern South China Sea and its response to environmental change显示文摘Based on deep-sea pollen results (512-76 m) from ODP Site 1143 in the southern South China Sea (SCS),the climate and vegetation evolution sequence on the surrounding islands and the exposed continental shelf are discussed. The pollen records show that the pollen influx was quite low before 8.15 Ma and increased dramatically afterwards. The influx changes can be ascribed,on one side,to tectonics deformations around the southern SCS resulting in rapid uplift of islands and subsequent increase of the sediment rates and pollen influx and on the other side to climate cooling and monsoon enhancement. Around 2.63 Ma was another obvious boundary,the increasing of pollen and spores influx since this time was mainly related to global climate cooling. Spectrum analysis of pollen influx values shows that 2 Ma,0.67 Ma,and 0.19-0.17 Ma cycles existed during 12-3.0 Ma,while 0.1 Ma and 46.9 ka cycles existed during 3.0-2.0 Ma.LUO YunLi SUN XiangJun 2007Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,15:1
