| 1 | Eocrinoid echinoderms from the Lower Cambrian Guanshan Fauna in Wuding,Yunnan,China显示文摘This is a brief report of a new occurrence of eocrinoids from the Early Cambrian Wulongqing Formation in Yunnan, China. The eocrinoids from the Guanshan fauna are among the earliest known eocrinoids. Different from many other Early and Middle Cambrian eocrinoids, the Guanshan eocrinoids are char-acterized by the absence of sutural pores and epispires, the long and spiral brachioles, the extremely long stalk, and the ratio of the length of the stalk versus that of the calyx. | 4 | A New Arthropod,Guangweicaris Luo,Fu et Hu gen. nov. from the Early Cambrian Guanshan Fauna,Kunming,China显示文摘The Guanshan Fauna is a soft-bodied fauna dominated by arthropods (including trilobites, trilobitoides, Tuzoia, Isoxys, and bradorids) in association with priapulids, brachiopods, anomalocaridids, vetulicoliids, sponges, chancellorids, and echinoderms. This paper reports and describes a new arthropod from the yellowish green mudstone at the lower part of the Wulongqing Formation, Canglangpuan Stage, Lower Cambrian in Kunming, Yunnan, China. The stratigraphic and geographic distribution, classification, fossil preservation, life style of this new arthropod and comparisons with other fossil arthropods are also discussed in details. The discovery and research of the non-mineralized arthropod, Guangweicaris Luo, Fu et Hu gen. nov. from the Guanshan Fauna adds new members to the taxonomic list and provides new information to the evolution of early arthropods. | 5 | Impact of diabetes on prognosis of gastric cancer patients performed with gastrectomy显示文摘Objective: This study aimed to determine the impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2 DM) on clinical outcomes of gastric cancer(GC) patients and explore whether metformin use and good glycemic control could reverse it.Methods: Clinicopathologic data of consecutive GC patients who underwent gastrectomy at Nanfang Hospital between October 2004 and December 2015 were included. Propensity score matching(PSM) was performed to balance the important factors of the disease status between non-T2 DM and T2 DM group. The last follow-up time was January 2019.Results: A total of 1,692 eligible patients(1,621 non-T2 DM vs. 71 T2 DM) were included. After PSM, nonT2 DM group(n=139) and T2 DM group(n=71) were more balanced in baseline variables. The 5-year cancerspecific survival(CSS) rate in T2 DM group(47.0%) was inferior to that in non-T2 DM group(58.0%), but did not reach statistical significance [hazard ratio(HR)=1.319, 95% confidence interval(95% CI): 0.868-2.005, P=0.192].While the 5-year progress-free survival(PFS) rate of T2 DM group(40.6%) is significantly worse than that in nonT2 DM group(56.3%)(HR=1.516, 95% CI: 1.004-2.290, P=0.045). Univariate and multivariate analyses showed that T2 DM was an independent risk factor for PFS but not for CSS. In T2 DM group, metformin use subgroup was associated with superior 5-year CSS and PFS in compared with non-metformin use subgroup, although the difference was not statistically significant(5-year CSS: 48.0% vs. 45.4%, HR=0.680, 95% CI: 0.352-1.313,P=0.246;5-year PFS: 43.5% vs. 35.7%, HR=0.763, 95% CI: 0.400-1.454, P=0.406). The 5-year CSS rate was47.5% in good glycemic control subgroup and 44.1% in poor glycemic control subgroup(HR=0.826, 95% CI:0.398-1.713, P=0.605). And both two subgroups yielded a similar 5-year PFS rate(42.2% vs. 36.3%, HR=0.908,95% CI: 0.441-1.871, P=0.792).Conclusions: DM promoted disease progress of GC after gastrectomy but had not yet led to the significant discrepancy of CSS. | 7 | 多西他赛联合同步放疗治疗晚期鼻咽癌的临床研究(英文)显示文摘Objective:The aim of this study was to study the short-term curative effects and adverse reactions of docetaxel(DOC) in concurrent chemoradiotherapy compared to DDP plus 5-Fu(DF) combined with concurrent radiotherapy in patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods:Thirty-three patients in the experimental group(DOC group) were given DOC 25 mg/m 2 ivgtt,d1,7 times,concurrent radiotherapy was performed from d1.Thirty-three patients in the control group(DF group) were given cisplatin 25 mg/m 2 ivgtt d1–3 and 5-Fu 550 mg/m 2 iv,d1–5,3 weeks a cycle,2 cycles,and concurrent radiotherapy was performed from d1.Six MV X-ray and 9 MeV electronic line for external irradiation were adopted in concurrent radiotherapy.Results:The response rates of DOC group and DF group were 90.9% and 93.9%,the rates of neutropenia were 45.45% and 67.74%,and the rates of oral mucositis were 60.61% and 90.32%.Conclusion:The difference of shortterm curative effects between DOC group and DF group was not statistically significant in patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.The rates of adverse reactions were lower in DOC group.DOC combined with concurrent radiotherapy could be a new choice for patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. | Wei Luo Wei Ge Yongfa Zheng Xianfeng Pan Jing Song Huilin Xu Pingpo Ming | 2013 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2013,12,12: | 2 |

| 14 | Mechanical force enhanced bony formation in defect implanted with calcium sulphate cement显示文摘To improve the osteogenic property of bone repairing materials and to accelerate bone healing are major tasks in bone biomaterials research. The objective of this study was to investigate if the mechanical force could be used to accelerate bone formation in a bony defect in vivo. The calcium sulfate cement was implanted into the left distal femoral epiphyses surgically in 16 rats. The half of rats were subjected to external mechanical force via treadmill exercise, the exercise started at day 7 postoperatively for 30 consecutive days and at a constant speed 8 m·min-1 for 45 min·day-1, while the rest served as a control. The rats were scanned four times longitudinally after surgery using microcomputed tomography and newly formed bone was evaluated. After sacrificing, the femurs had biomechanical test of three-point bending and histological analysis. The results showed that bone healing under mechanical force were better than the control with residual defect areas of 0.64±0.19 mm2 and 1.78±0.39 mm2(P<0.001), and the ultimate loads to failure under mechanical force were 69.56±4.74 N, stronger than the control with ultimate loads to failure of 59.17±7.48 N(P=0.039). | 16 | Characteristics and main controlling factors of intra-platform shoal thin-layer dolomite reservoirs:A case study of Middle Permian Qixia Formation in Gaoshiti-Moxi area of Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘Based on the study of the distribution of intra-platform shoals and the characteristics of dolomite reservoirs in the Middle Permian Qixia Formation in the Gaoshiti–Moxi area of the Sichuan Basin,SW China,the controlling factors of reservoir development were analyzed,and the formation model of“intra-platform shoal thin-layer dolomite reservoir”was established.The Qixia Formation is a regressive cycle from bottom to top,in which the first member(Qi1 Member)develops low-energy open sea microfacies,and the second member(Qi2 Member)evolves into intra-platform shoal and inter-shoal sea with decreases in sea level.The intra-platform shoal is mainly distributed near the top of two secondary shallowing cycles of the Qi2 Member.The most important reservoir rock of the Qixia Formation is thin-layer fractured-vuggy dolomite,followed by vuggy dolomite.The semi-filled saddle dolomite is common in fracture-vug,and intercrystalline pores and residual dissolution pores combined with fractures to form the effective pore-fracture network.Based on the coupling analysis of sedimentary and diagenesis characteristics,the reservoir formation model of“pre-depositional micro-paleogeomorphology controlling shoal,sedimentary shoal controlling dolomite,penecontemporaneous dolomite benefiting preservation of pores,and late hydrothermal action effectively improving reservoir quality”was systematically established.The“first-order high zone”micro-paleogeomorphology before the deposition of the Qixia Formation controlled the development of large area of intra-platform shoals in Gaoshiti area during the deposition of the Qi2 Member.Shoal facies is the basic condition of early dolomitization,and the distribution range of intra-platform shoal and dolomite reservoir is highly consistent.The grain limestone of shoal facies is transformed by two stages of dolomitization.The penecontemporaneous dolomitization is conducive to the preservation of primary pores and secondary dissolved pores.The burial hydrothermal fluid enters the early dolomite body along the fractures associated with the Emeishan basalt event,makes it recrystallized into medium–coarse crystal dolomite.With the intercrystalline pores and the residual vugs after the hydrothermal dissolution along the fractures,the high-quality intra-platform shoal-type thin-layer dolomite reservoirs are formed.The establishment of this reservoir formation model can provide important theoretical support for the sustainable development of Permian gas reservoirs in the Sichuan Basin. | HE Jiang LIAN Zhihua LUO Wenjun ZHOU Hui XU Huilin HE Puwei Yang Yi LAN Xuemei | 2024 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2024,51,1: | 0 |
| 17 | Early detection of joint degeneration in the subtalar and talonavicular joints secondary to ankle instability in a mouse model显示文摘Background:Many patients with ankle sprain have secondary subtalar and talonavicular injuries,which have a great impact on their life and body.Purpose::This study aimed to investigate the biomechanical impact of ankle instability on the subtalar joint(STJ)and talonavicular joint(TNJ)using a mouse model to enhance the clinical understanding of early stage secondary joint degeneration.Methods:Twenty four 8-week old male C57BL/6 J mice were randomly allocated to three groups.Both the calcaneofibular ligament(CFL)and anterior talofibular ligament(ATFL)of the left ankle were cut off in the CFLþATFL group to simulate severe ankle instability while only the CFL was excised in the CFL group to mimic moderate ankle instability.No operation was done in SHAM group to simulate the normal ankle.Then histological analysis,atomic force microscopy(AFM)–based nanoindentation tests and inspection by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)were used to assess the degree of joint degeneration in the tibiotalar joint(TTJ),STJ and TNJ of three groups.Results:A significant increase of histological score for both CFL and CFLþATFL group was demonstrated in the TTJ,compared with the SHAM group.While in the STJ and TNJ,the histological score only increased for CFLþATFL group.AFM-based nanoindentation results demonstrated significant differences in elastic modulus between all groups in the TTJ,while for the STJ and TNJ,only the comparison between the CFLþATFL group and SHAM group was considered statistically significant.The SEM presented signs of cracking and disintegration within the subchondral bone(SCB)interface in the CFLþATFL group only.Conclusions:The findings indicate that severe ankle instability resulted in early degeneration of the STJ and TNJ in a mouse model,which may provide referential values for clinical practice. | Zhi Chen Ting Liang Junkun Li Chao Gao Fan He Zongping Luo Huilin Yang Hongtao Zhang Jia Yu | 2021 | Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2021,,3: | 0 |
| 18 | A Further Research on the Precambrian-Cambrian Boundary at Meishucun Section of Jinning, Yunnan, China显示文摘This paper gives a brief report on the latest results in litho-, bio-, and chrono-stratigraphy obtained fromthe authors’ further research on the Meishucun section during 1987-1988. More attention was paid to the studyof the microtexture of Lapworthella and some new materials of trace fossils. Phycodes pendum Seilacher, animportant index for correlation, was also discovered in the Zhongyicun Member. In the Yu’ anshan Membermany worms, medusas and arthropods of the Chengjiang fauna have been found by other workers. Asupplemental study was made on the fossil zones of the Meishucunian stage. Based on new isotopic data, theage of the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary should now be 597 Ma. | 19 | Study on direct point spread function measurement of capillary plate collimators with divergent X-ray beams显示文摘Purpose The Filed of View(FOV)of eXTP/LAD is limited by lead-glass capillary plate collimators placed in front of the Silicon Drift Detectors(SDDs)for reducing the background contamination caused by the photons of Cosmic X-ray Background(CXB)leaking from outside the FOV.The core quality parameters of lead-glass capillary plate collimators are Open Area Ratio(OAR)and FOV.The performance of lead-glass capillary plate collimators is determined by its design specification such as pore-to-pore misalignment,pore perpendicularity with collimator surface and pore diameter.Since the design specification is the result of a large number of micropores,we use the full width at half maximum(FWHM)and peak value of point spread function(PSF)to characterize the capillary plate collimator performance.In order to quickly evaluate the performances of collimators,we developed a direct PSF measurement method using divergent beams.Methods In this paper,the simulation package of the divergent beamsmeasurement setup is developed based on Geant4.The simulation parameters of scintillator absorption length are corrected by experimental data.We simulate the PSF of collimators with different distribution of pore diameter and misalignment by parallel beams and divergent beams.By comparing the peak value and FWHM of collimators PSF,the feasibility in replacing parallel beams measurement with divergent beams measurement is studied.Results It is verified that the influence of the geometric size of 33μm radius of the micro-focus of X-ray tube can be ignored.The results show that the FWHM of collimators is increased with error root mean square error(RMS)of the distribution of collimators pore diameter and pore inclination angle.The peak value of PSF is mainly influenced by pore non-parallelism of the pores,and it decreases with an increase in pore inclination angle.Comparison of parallel beams PSF and divergent beams PSF shows well consistency of peak value and FWHM of collimator.But,the peak value of the divergent beams PSF is mainly affected by the defects of the pores close to the optical axis and result in difference from the parallel beams results consequently.We have developed capillary plate collimators response function based on the projected area function of a cylindrical pore and the fluorescence broadening of the scintillator and fitted PSF by response function.The capillary plate collimator open area ratio is calculated by using the micropores radius and collimator frame thickness obtained by fitting parameter,and the result is close to the parallel beams PSF.Conclusion The feasibility divergent beams measurement is verified. | Tianming Li Tao Luo Yupeng Xu Huilin He Liming Song | 2023 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2023,7,3: | 0 |
| 20 | Integrated top-down and bottom-up proteomics mass spectrometry for the characterization of endogenous ribosomal protein heterogeneity显示文摘Ribosomes are abundant,large RNA-protein complexes that are the sites of all protein synthesis in cells.Defects in ribosomal proteins(RPs),including proteoforms arising from genetic variations,alternative splicing of RNA transcripts,post-translational modifications and alterations of protein expression level,have been linked to a diverse range of diseases,including cancer and aging.Comprehensive characterization of ribosomal proteoforms is challenging but important for the discovery of potential disease biomarkers or protein targets.In the present work,using E.coli 70S RPs as an example,we first developed a top-down proteomics approach on a Waters Synapt G2 Si mass spectrometry(MS)system,and then applied it to the HeLa 80S ribosome.The results were complemented by a bottom-up approach.In total,50 out of 55 RPs were identified using the top-down approach.Among these,more than 30 RPs were found to have their N-terminal methionine removed.Additional modifications such as methylation,acetylation,and hydroxylation were also observed,and the modification sites were identified by bottomup MS.In a HeLa 80S ribosomal sample,we identified 98 ribosomal proteoforms,among which multiple truncated 80S ribosomal proteoforms were observed,the type of information which is often overlooked by bottom-up experiments.Although their relevance to diseases is not yet known,the integration of topdown and bottom-up proteomics approaches paves the way for the discovery of proteoform-specific disease biomarkers or targets. | Ying Zhang Qinghua Cai Yuxiang Luo Yu Zhang Huilin Li | 2023 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,1: | 0 |
