| 2 | Recent developments in electrocatalysts and future prospects for oxygen reduction reaction in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells显示文摘The main difficulty in the extensive commercial use of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs)is the use of noble metals such as Pt-based electrocatalyst at the cathode, which is essential to ease the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) in fuel cells(FCs). To eliminate the high loading of Pt-based electrocatalysts to minimize the cost, extensive study has been carried out over the previous decades on the non-noble metal catalysts. Development in enhancing the ORR performance of FCs is mainly due to the doped carbon materials, Fe and Co-based electrocatalysts, these materials could be considered as probable substitutes for Pt-based catalysts. But the stability of these non-noble metal electrocatalysts is low and the durability of these metals remains unclear. The three basic reasons of instability are:(i) oxidative occurrence by H_2O_2,(ii) leakage of the metal site and(iii) protonation by probable anion adsorption of the active site. Whereas leakage of the metal site has been almost solved, more work is required to understand and avoid losses from oxidative attack and protonation. The ORR performance such as stability tests are usually run at low current densities and the lifetime is much shorter than desired need. Therefore,improvement in the ORR activity and stability are the key issues of the non-noble metal electrocatalyst.Based on the consequences obtained in this area, numerous future research directions are projected and discussed in this paper. | 3 | Biosorption of zinc(Ⅱ) from aqueous solution by dried activated sludge显示文摘The biosorption potential of dried activated sludge as a biosorbent for zinc(Ⅱ) removal from aqueous solution was investigated.The effects of initial pH,contact time,initial zinc ion concentration,and adsorbent dosage on the biosorption processes were determined,and the equilibrium data were modeled by the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms.The Langmuir isotherm model (R 2=0.999) was proved to fit the equilibrium data much better than the Freundlich isotherm model (R 2=0.918).The monolayer adsorption capacity of dried activated sludge for zinc(Ⅱ) was found to be 17.86 mg/g at pH of 5 and 25°C.The kinetic data were tested using pseudo firstand second-order models.The results suggested that the pseudo second-order model (R 2 > 0.999) was better for the description of the adsorption behavior of zinc(Ⅱ) onto the dried activated sludge.Fourier transform infrared spectral analysis showed that the dominant mechanism of zinc(Ⅱ) biosorption onto the dried activated sludge was the binding between amide groups and zinc ions. | Chunping Yang Jiaqiang Wang Min Lei Gengxin Xie Guangming Zeng Shenglian Luo | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,5: | 6 |

| 5 | Biodegradation of 3,5-dimethyl-2,4-dichlorophenol in saline wastewater by newly isolated Penicillium sp.yz11-22N2显示文摘In this study,the performance of 3,5-dimethyl-2,4-dichlorophenol(DCMX) degradation by a screened strain was investigated.18 S r DNA and the neighbor-joining method were used for identification of the isolated strain.The results of phylogenetic analysis and scanning electron micrographs showed that the most probable identity of the screened strain should be Penicillium sp.Growth characteristics of Penicillium sp.and degradation processes of DCMX were examined.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of the inoculated DCMX solution was recorded,which supported the capacity of DCMX degradation by the screened Penicillium sp.Under different salinity conditions,the highest growth rate and removal efficiency for DCMX were obtained at p H 6.0.The removal efficiency decreased from 100%to 66% when the DCMX concentration increased from 5 to 60 mg/L,respectively.Using a Box–Behnken design,the maximum DCMX removal efficiency was determined to be 98.4%.With acclimation to salinity,higher removal efficiency could be achieved.The results demonstrate that the screened Penicillium sp.has the capability for degradation of DCMX. | Zhou Yan Huijun He Chunping Yang Guangming Zeng Le Luo Panpan Jiao Huiru Li Li Lu | 2017 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,7: | 3 |
| 6 | Characterization of Iron Grains near the P/T Boundary in the Meishan Section of China显示文摘The Meishan section of China has been confirmed as the “Global Stratotype Section and Point” of the P/T boundary. In the section, the authors found several types of iron grains, including pyrite, pure iron grains and goethite. From the research of macro minerals, it is easy to find that the grains rich in iron appear from the bottom of the event layer of the section. In other words, it is probably residue of the geochemical catastrophe of that time. Therefore, it is important to trace the source of these iron grains and their relationships, which probably provides evidence for volcanic eruption or impact-volcanoes and has directive significance to the crisis during the P/T transitional period. | 11 | Degradable nanocatalyst enables antitumor/antibacterial therapy and promotion of wound healing for diabetes via self-enhanced cascading reaction显示文摘Diabetic patients often have problems such as residual tumor and wound infection after tumor resection,causing severe clinical problems.It is urgent to develop effective therapies to reach oncotherapy/antiinfection/promotion of wound healing combined treatment.Herein,we propose CS/MnO_(2)-GO_x (CMGO_x)nanocatalysts for the specific catalytic generation of ~·OH to inhibit tumors and bacteria in a hyperglycemic environment.The good biocompatible chitosan (CS),as a carrier for the catalyst,exhibits excellent antibacterial effect as well as promotes wound healing.Glucose oxidase (GO_x) is loaded on the surface of CS nanoparticles to generate H_(2)O_(2) and gluconic acid by consuming glucose (starvation therapy,ST) and O_(2).The MnO_(2) depletes glutathione (GSH) to produce Mn^(2+),amplifying oxidative stress and further promoting the activity of Mn^(2+)-mediated Fenton-like reaction to produce~·OH (chemodynamic therapy,CDT)in weak acidic environment.Moreover,the produced gluconic acid lowers the p H of the environment,enhancing chemodynamic therapy (ECDT).The tumor cells and bacteria are efficiently eliminated by the synergistic effect of ST and ECDT.The MnO_(2) nanoparticles at neutral environment decomposes H_(2)O_(2) into O_(2),which cooperate with CS to promote healing.The self-enhanced cascade reaction of CMGO_x in situ exhibits excellent effects of antitumor/antibacterial therapy and promotion of wound healing,offering a promising integrated treatment for diabetic patients after tumor surgical resection. | Xiang Wang Cheng Ding Ziwen Zhang Chunlin Li Dongmiao Cao Linjing Zhao Guoying Deng Yu Luo Chunping Yuan Jie Lu Xijian Liu | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,7: | 0 |
| 12 | Construction of phosphorus-doping with spontaneously developed selenium vacancies: Inducing superior ion-diffusion kinetics in hollow Cu_(2)Se@C nanospheres for efficient sodium storage显示文摘Achieving high-efficiency sodium storage in metal selenides is still severely constrained in consideration of their inferior electronic conductivity and inadequate Na^(+)insertion pathways and active sites.Heteroatom doping accompanied by spontaneously developed lattice defects can effectively tune electronic structure of metal selenides,which give a strong effect to motivate fast charge transfer and Na^(+)accessibility.Herein,we finely designed and successfully constructed a fascinating phosphorus-doped Cu_(2)Se@C hollow nanosphere with abundant vacancy defects(Cu_(2)P_(x)Se_(1-x)@C)through a combination strategy of selenization of Cu_(2)O nanosphere template,self-polymerization of dopamine,and subsequent phosphorization treatment.Such exquisite composite possesses enriched active sites,superior conductivity,and sufficient Na^(+)insertion channel,which enable much faster Na^(+)diffusion rates and more remarkable pseudocapacitive features,Satisfyingly,the Cu_(2)P_(x)Se_(1-x)@C composites manifest the supernormal sodium-storage capabilities,that is,a reversible capacity of 403.7 mA h g^(-1) at 1.0 A g^(-1) over 100 cycles,and an ultrastable cyclic lifespan over 1000 cycles at 20.0 A g^(-1) with a high capacity-retention of about249.7 mA h g^(-1).The phase transformation of the Cu_(2)P_(x)Se_(1-x)@C involving the intercalation of Na^(+)into Cu_(2)Se and the following conversion of NaCuSe to Cu and Na2Se were further demonstrated through a series of ex-situ characterization methods.DFT results demonstrate that the coexistence of phosphorusdoping and vacancy defects within Cu_(2)Se results in the reduction of Na^(+)adsorption energy from-1.47to-1.56 eV improving the conductivity of Cu_(2)Se to further accelerate fast Na^(+)mobility. | Xiaoqing Ma Yadong Li Xiaojiang Long Hong-chuan Luo Chunping Xu Guangzhao Wang Wenxi Zhao | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2: | 0 |
| 13 | Stabilizing Pickering Emulsions Using Octenyl Succinic Anhydride Modified with Cellulose Nanofibrils显示文摘In this study,(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)oxyl-mediated(TEMPO-mediated)oxidized cellulose nanofibrils(TOCNFs)modified with octenyl succinic anhydride(OSA)to improve their hydrophobicity and emulsification performance were investigated.OSA loadings of 9.87-14.81 mmol/g(base on oven-dry weight of TOCNFs)were explored during modification,and the obtained OSA-modified TOCNFs(TOCNF-OSA)were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,and thermogravimetric analysis.Additionally,the emulsification performance of TOCNF-OSA was also investigated in the preparation of the Pickering emulsion.The results demonstrated that the molecular chain of OSA was successfully grafted onto the backbone of TOCNFs during modification.With an increase in OSA loading,the content of the carboxyl group of the modified TOCNF-OSA increased significantly while the Zeta potential decreased.Moreover,a degree of substitution of 0.95 could be achieved at an OSA loading of 14.81 mmol/g.During the preparation of Pickering emulsions,compared with original TOCNFs,the modified TOCNF-OSA significantly improved the stability and dispersibility of the Pickering emulsion.This study demonstrated a promising approach for the modification of the Pickering emulsion to produce an eco-friendly emulsifier with superior performance for use in the food industry. | Jialei Qu Langman Luo Weifeng Zhang Shao Geng Chunping Wang An Wang Yangbing Wen | 2022 | Paper And Biomaterials2022,7,3: | 0 |
