| 1 | Distribution pattern of front abutment pressure of fully-mechanized working face of soft coal isolated island显示文摘The front abutment pressure of a fully-mechanized workface of 11061 soft coal isolated island of Liangbei Coal Mine was measured and studied using a self-developed mining-induced stress monitoring system associated with electromagnetic radiation technology,and the effects of abutment pressure distribution on strata behavior we discussed.The results indicate that the mining-induced influencing distance advanced at the fully-mechanized working face of soft coal isolated island is larger than that at the general working face at the isolated island,besides the fracture zone in front of working face was widened to some extent,and the influencing range caused by relaxations on both roadways became bigger with the advancing working face.Moreover,it can be indicated that mining has significant effect on strata behavior of fully-mechanized working face of soft coal isolated island,which is mostly distributed in the area of stress concentration.The research results have an important reference value for revealing the distribution pattern of the front abutment pressure of a fully-mechanized working face of soft coal isolated island,and controlling the coal-rock dynamic disaster occurrence under similar mining conditions. | Xu Wenquan Wang Enyua Shen Rongxi Song Dazhao Zhang Jingmin | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2: | 16 |

| 3 | Abnormal subchondral bone remodeling and its association with articular cartilage degradation in knees of type 2 diabetes patients显示文摘Type 2 diabetes(T2 D) is associated with systemic abnormal bone remodeling and bone loss. Meanwhile,abnormal subchondral bone remodeling induces cartilage degradation, resulting in osteoarthritis(OA).Accordingly, we investigated alterations in subchondral bone remodeling, microstructure and strength in knees from T2 D patients and their association with cartilage degradation. Tibial plateaus were collected from knee OA patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty and divided into non-diabetic(n = 70) and diabetes(n = 51) groups. Tibial plateaus were also collected from cadaver donors(n = 20) and used as controls.Subchondral bone microstructure was assessed using micro-computed tomography. Bone strength was evaluated by micro-finite-element analysis. Cartilage degradation was estimated using histology. The expression of tartrate-resistant acidic phosphatase(TRAP), osterix, and osteocalcin were calculated using immunohistochemistry. Osteoarthritis Research Society International(OARSI) scores of lateral tibial plateau did not differ between non-diabetic and diabetes groups, while higher OARSI scores on medial side were detected in diabetes group. Lower bone volume fraction and trabecular number and higher structure model index were found on both sides in diabetes group. These microstructural alterations translated into lower elastic modulus in diabetes group. Moreover, diabetes group had a larger number of TRAP^+ osteoclasts and lower number of Osterix^+ osteoprogenitors and Osteocalcin^+ osteoblasts. T2 D knees are characterized by abnormal subchondral bone remodeling and microstructural and mechanical impairments, which were associated with exacerbated cartilage degradation. | 4 | Characteristics of volatile compounds removal in biogas slurry of pig manure by ozone oxidation and organic solvents extraction显示文摘Biogas slurry is not suitable for liquid fertilizer due to its high amounts of volatile materials being of complicated composition and peculiar smell. In order to remove volatiles from biogas slurry efficiently, the dynamic headspace and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry were used to clear the composition of volatiles. Nitrogen stripping and superfluous ozone were also used to remove volatiles from biogas slurry. The results showed that there were 21 kinds of volatile compounds in the biogas slurry, including sulfur compounds, organic amines, benzene, halogen generation of hydrocarbons and alkanes, some of which had strong peculiar smell. The volatile compounds in biogas slurry can be removed with the rate of 53.0% by nitrogen stripping and with rate of 81.7% by the oxidization and stripping of the superfluous ozone. On this basis, the removal rate of the volatile compounds reached 99.2% by chloroform and n-hexane extraction, and almost all of odor was eliminated. | 5 | Ascorbic acid accelerates Wallerian degeneration after peripheral nerve injury显示文摘Wallerian degeneration occurs after peripheral nerve injury and provides a beneficial microenvironment for nerve regeneration.Our previous study demonstrated that ascorbic acid promotes peripheral nerve regeneration,possibly through promoting Schwann cell proliferation and phagocytosis and enhancing macrophage proliferation,migration,and phagocytosis.Because Schwann cells and macrophages are the main cells involved in Wallerian degeneration,we speculated that ascorbic acid may accelerate this degenerative process.To test this hypothesis,400 mg/kg ascorbic acid was administered intragastrically immediately after sciatic nerve transection,and 200 mg/kg ascorbic acid was then administered intragastrically every day.In addition,rat sciatic nerve explants were treated with 200μM ascorbic acid.Ascorbic acid significantly accelerated the degradation of myelin basic protein-positive myelin and neurofilament 200-positive axons in both the transected nerves and nerve explants.Furthermore,ascorbic acid inhibited myelin-associated glycoprotein expression,increased c-Jun expression in Schwann cells,and increased both the number of macrophages and the amount of myelin fragments in the macrophages.These findings suggest that ascorbic acid accelerates Wallerian degeneration by accelerating the degeneration of axons and myelin in the injured nerve,promoting the dedifferentiation of Schwann cells,and enhancing macrophage recruitment and phagocytosis.The study was approved by the Southern Medical University Animal Care and Use Committee(approval No.SMU-L2015081)on October 15,2015. | Lixia Li Yizhou Xu Xianghai Wang Jingmin Liu Xiaofang Hu Dandan Tan Zhenlin Li Jiasong Guo | 2021 | Neural Regeneration Research2021,16,6: | 6 |

| 7 | Biodegradation behavior of magnesium and ZK60 alloy in artificial urine and rat models显示文摘In this work, the biodegradable and histocompatibility properties of pure Mg and ZK60 alloy wereinvestigated as new temporary implants for urinary applications. The corrosion mechanism in artificialurine was proposed using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarizationtests. The corrosion potential of pure magnesium and ZK60 alloy were -1820 and -1561 mV, respectively,and the corrosion current densities were 59.66 ± 6.41 and 41.94 ± 0.53 μA cm^-2, respectively. Thein vitro degradation rates for pure Mg and ZK60 alloy in artificial urine were 0.382 and 1.023 mm/y,respectively, determined from immersion tests. The ZK60 alloy degraded faster than the pure Mg in bothartificial urine and in rat bladders (the implants of both samples are ø 3 mm × 5 mm). Histocompatibilityevaluations showed good histocompatibility for the pure Mg and ZK60 alloy during the 3 weeks postimplantationin rat bladders, and no harm was observed in the bladder, liver and kidney tissues. Methods In this study male adult SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: sham-operation group, MI-saline group and MI-perindopril group. Left anterior descending artery was ligated to generate myocardial infarction. Perindopril (2 mg/kg body weight/day) was administered from the next day of MI. Four weeks later, left ventricular diameter (LVEDD and LVESD) and left ventricular ejection fraction was estimated with echocardiography, LVSP, LVEDP and±dp/dtmax was detected with hemodynamic measurement, cardiomyocyte diameter and interstitial fibrosis infiltration were evaluated with histological methods, and myocardium osteopontin protein expression level was detected with western blot. Results ①Compared with the sham-operation group, all rats with MI developed significant systolic and diastolic dysfunction, as was indicated by decreased LVEF, LVSP and±dp/dtmax, as well as increased LVEDP. ②Rats with MI showed significantly dilated left ventricles and higher ventricular weight / body weight ratio, significantly increased cardiomyocyte diameter and marked interstitial fibrosis in the non-infarction area. ③Perindopril treatment partly prevented cardiac dysfunction and left ventricular remodeling as indicated by the parameters mentioned above. ④No osteopontin protein was detected in myocardium of sham-operation rats. In rats with MI, high level osteopontin protein expression was significantly inhibited by perindopril treatment.
