1Regional eco-efficiency evaluation and spatial pattern analysis of the Yangtze River Economic Zone显示文摘The environmental ecology of the Yangtze River Economic Zone(YREZ)faces ecological function decline,deterioration and degradation under intense human activities,long-term development and utilization and its economy has developed rapidly over recent decades.Eco-efficiency is considered as a measure of coordinated development of economy,resources,environment and ecology,and is currently considered a very important issue.In this paper,based on the slack-based measure and data envelope analysis model,we take 129 prefecture-level cities of the YREZ as the study unit and measure the eco-efficiency of the YREZ in 2000,2005,2010 and 2015,which considers undesired output.The evaluation of the status quo of the regional eco-efficiency development was carried out at provincial,prefectural and city scales.The spatial autocorrelation test model and standard deviation ellipse were used to analyze the spatially distributed characteristics and the evolutionary regularity of eco-efficiency.Our study suggested that the eco-efficiency value varied significantly at different spatiotemporal scales and the overall distribution presented an'N-shaped'pattern,the value is the largest downstream and the smallest upstream.Regional eco-efficiency presented certain volatility in growth and a clear spatial positive agglomeration trend from 2000 to 2015.The spatial distribution of each agglomeration area was also significantly different,forming some high-high agglomeration areas at the center of the shaft with Shanghai and surrounding cities,and some low-low agglomeration areas at the center with middle reaches and upstream cities.The low-high over-aggregation and high-low polarization clusters were fewer.At the same time,with the change of the research period,the degree of positive agglomeration became increasingly pronounced and the eco-efficiency gap of the neighborhoodunit reduced.The regional eco-efficiency value of the YREZ presented a spatial distribution pattern in the northeast-southwest axis and the evolutionary pattern of the regional eco-efficiency similarly showed a northeast-southwest orientation.HA Lin TU Jianjun YANG Jianping XU Chunhai PANG Jiaxing LU Debin YAO Zuolin ZHAO Wenyu 2020Journal of Geographical Sciences2020,30,7:8
2Graphene-based nanomaterials in biosystems显示文摘Graphene-based nanomaterials have emerged as a novel type of materials with exceptional physicochemical properties and numerous applications in various areas. In this review, we summarize recent advances in studying interactions between graphene and biosystems. We first provide a brief introduction on graphene and its derivatives, and then discuss on the toxicology and biocompatibility of graphene, including the extracellular interactions between graphene and biomacromolecules, cellular studies of graphene, and in vivo toxicological effects. 4Quantum dots protect against MPP+-induced neurotoxicity in a cell model of Parkinson's disease through autophagy induction显示文摘Autophagy is a basic cellular process that decomposes damaged organelles and aberrant proteins. Dysregulation of autophagy is implicated in pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease(PD). Pharmacological compounds that stimulate autophagy can provide neuroprotection in models of PD. Nanoparticles have emerged as regulators of autophagy and have been tested in adjuvant therapy for diseases. In this present study, we explore the effects of quantum dots(QDs) that can induce autophagy in a cellular model of Parkinson's disease. Cd Te/Cd S/Zn S QDs protect differentiated rat pheochromocytoma PC12 cells from MPP+-induced cell damage, including reduced viability, apoptosis and accumulation of α-Synuclein, a characteristic protein of PD. The protective function of QDs is autophagy-dependent. In addition, we investigate the interaction between quantum dots and autophagic pathways and identify beclin1 as an essential factor for QDs-induced autophagy. 5Elimination of a Retrotransposon for Quenching Genome Instability in Modern Rice显示文摘Transposable elements(TEs)constitute the most abundant portions of plant genomes and can dramatically shape host genomes during plant evolution.They also play important roles in crop domestication.However,whether TEs themselves are also selected during crop domestication has remained unknown.Here,we identify an active long terminal repeat(LTR)retrotransposon,HUO,as a potential target of selection during rice domestication and breeding.HUO is a low-copy-number LTR retrotransposon,and is active under natural growth conditions and transmitted through male gametogenesis,preferentially inserting into genomic regions capable of transcription.HUO exists in all wild rice accessions and about half of the archaeological rice grains(1200–7000 years ago)and landraces surveyed,but is absent in almost all modern varieties,indicating its gradual elimination during rice domestication and breeding.Further analyses showed that HUO is subjected to strict gene silencing through the RNA-directed DNA methylation pathway.Our results also suggest that multiple HUO copies may trigger genomic instability through altering genome-wide DNA methylation and small RNA biogenesis and changing global gene expression,resulting in decreased disease resistance and yield,coinciding with its elimination during rice breeding.Together,our study suggests that negative selection of an active retrotransposon might be important for genome stability during crop domestication and breeding.Yu Peng Yingying Zhang Yijie Gui Dong An Junzhong Liu Xun Xu Qun Li Junmin Wang Wen Wang Chunhai Shi Longjiang Fan Baorong Lu Yiwen Deng Sheng Teng Zuhua He 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,10:2

8Prediction of thermodynamic properties of actinide and lanthanide compounds显示文摘Several relationship models for thermodynamic functions of actinide and lanthanide compounds are built. The descriptors such as the difference of atomic radii between metal atoms and nonmetal atoms and the molecular mass are used in quantitative structure-activity/property relationships. The relative errors for entropy and heat capacity are less than 20% in the majority of gaseous compounds. 9Phase transferring luminescent gold nanoclusters via single-stranded DNA显示文摘Atomically precise gold nanoclusters(Au NCs) are an emerging class of quantum-sized nanomaterials with discrete electronic energy levels, which has led to a range of attractive electronic and optical applications. Nevertheless, the lack of general methods to transfer Au NCs protected with hydrophobic ligands to an aqueous solution hampers their use in physiological settings. Here,we developed a single-stranded DNA-based approach that could transfer ~90% hydrophobic Au NCs into an aqueous solution.We experimentally and theoretically established that multivalent electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions between DNA strands and the hydrophobic ligand layer on Au NCs resulted in monodispersed DNA-coated Au NCs with high physical integrity in an aqueous solution. The fluorescence quantum yield of Au NCs was increased by ~13 fold, and surface-constrained DNA retained the specific recognition ability for biosensing. 10Nucleic acids analysis显示文摘Nucleic acids are natural biopolymers of nucleotides that store, encode, transmit and express genetic information, which play central roles in diverse cellular events and diseases in living things. The analysis of nucleic acids and nucleic acids-based analysis have been widely applied in biological studies, clinical diagnosis, environmental analysis, food safety and forensic analysis.During the past decades, the field of nucleic acids analysis has been rapidly advancing with many technological breakthroughs.In this review, we focus on the methods developed for analyzing nucleic acids, nucleic acids-based analysis, device for nucleic acids analysis, and applications of nucleic acids analysis. The representative strategies for the development of new nucleic acids analysis in this field are summarized, and key advantages and possible limitations are discussed. 11Recent advances of Rh-based intermetallic nanomaterials for catalytic applications显示文摘Rhodium(Rh)has received widespread attention in fundamental catalytic research and numerous industrial catalytic applications.Compared to homogeneous catalysts,Rh-based nanomaterials as heterogeneous catalysts are much easier to separate and collect after usage,making them more suitable for commercial use.To this purpose,there has been a constant demand in constructing stable and highly active Rh-based nanomaterials.In contrast to Rh-based solid solutions with a random distribution of metallic atoms in the lattice,Rh-based intermetallic compounds(IMCs)with a fixed stoichiometric ratio and an ordered atomic arrangement can ensure the homogenous distribution of active sites and structural stability in the catalytic process.In this review,we concentrate on the fabrication of Rh-based IMCs for catalytic applications.Various synthetic methods and protocols for the controlled preparation of Rh-based IMC are illustrated.Meanwhile,the catalytic applications and corresponding catalytic mechanisms are discussed.In addition,personal perspectives about the remaining challenges and prospects in this field are provided.We believe this review will be useful in directing the development of Rh-based IMC catalysts for heterogeneous catalysis.Lijie Zhu Chunhai Li Qinbai Yun Sumei Han Yong Lv Qipeng Lu Junze Chen 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,11:0
12Graded interface engineering of 3D/2D halide perovskite solar cells through ultrathin(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4) nanosheets显示文摘2D halide perovskites have emerged as promising materials because of their stability and passivation effect in perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However,the introduction of bulky organic ammonium cations from 2D halide perovskites would decrease the device performance generally compared to the traditional 3D MAPbI_(3).Incorporation of ultrathin 2D halide perovskite nanosheets(NSs)with 3D MAPbI_(3)could address this issue.Herein,we re port a rationally designed PSCs with dimensional graded 3D/2D MAPbI_(3)/(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)heterojunction,in which 2D(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)NSs were synthesized and incorporated between 3D MAPbI_(3)and hole-transporting layer.Besides the significantly improved stability,a notable increasement in power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 20%was obtained for the 3D/2D perovskite solar cells due to the favourable band alignment among(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)NSs and the other components.The graded structure of MAPbI_(3)/(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)would upshift the energy level continuously,which enhances the hole extraction efficiency thus reduces the interface charge recombination,leading to the increasements of VOC from1.04 V to 1.07 V,Jsc from 21.81 mA/cm^(2) to 23.15 mA/cm^(2) and the fill factor from 67.89% to 74.78%,and therefore an overall PCE of 18.53%.Lijie Zhu Qipeng Lu Chunhai Li Yue Wang Zhenbo Deng 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,7:0

15Influence on electron energy loss spectroscopy of the niobium-substituted uranium atom:A density functional theory study显示文摘We present the electronic structure and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) for uranium, niobium and U3Nb in which uranium is substituted by niobium. Comparing the electronic structures and optical properties for uranium, niobium and U3Nb, we found that when niobium atom replaces uranium atom in the center lattice, density of state (DOS) of U3Nb shifts downward to low energy. Niobium affects DOS for f and d electrons more than that for p and s electrons. 16Computer vision-aided bioprinting for bone research显示文摘Bioprinting is an emerging additive manufacturing technology that has enormous potential in bone implantation and repair. The insufficient accuracy of the shape of bioprinted parts is a primary clinical barrier that prevents widespread utilization of bioprinting,especially for bone design with high-resolution requirements. During the last five years, the use of computer vision for process control has been widely practiced in the manufacturing field. Computer vision can improve the performance of bioprinting for bone research with respect to various aspects, including accuracy, resolution, and cell survival rate. Hence, computer vision plays a substantial role in addressing the current defect problem in bioprinting for bone research. In this review, recent advances in the application of computer vision in bioprinting for bone research are summarized and categorized into three groups based on different defect types: bone scaffold process control, deep learning, and cell viability models. The collection of printing parameters,data processing, and feedback of bioprinting information, which ultimately improves printing capabilities, are further discussed.
