1Expression and correlation of CD44v6, vascular endothelial growth factor, matrix metalloproteinase-2, and matrix metalloproteinase-9 in Krukenberg tumor显示文摘AIM: To explore the expression and correlation of CD44v6,vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9 in Krukenberg and primary epithelial ovarian carcinoma.METHODS: The expressions of CD44v6, VEGF, MMP-2and MMP-9 were detected by immunohistochemical method in 20 cases of normal ovarian tissues, 38 cases of Krukenberg tumor and 45 cases of primary epithelial ovarian carcinoma.RESULTS: The expression of CD44v6 (primary epithelial ovarian carcinoma tissue vs normal ovarian tissue:x2= 4.516, P= 0.034; Krukenberg tumor tissue vsnormal ovarian tissue: x2 = 19.537, P= 0.001) and VEGF (primary epithelial ovarian carcinoma tissue vs normal ovarian tissue: P = 0.026; Krukenberg tumor tissue vs normal ovarian tissue: x2= 22.895, P = 0.001) was significantly higher in primary epithelial ovarian carcinoma tissue and Krukenberg tumor tissue than in normal ovarian tissue.The positive expression rate of MMP-2 and MMP-9 was 0%in the normal ovarian tissue. The positive expression rate of CD44v6 (x2 = 10.398, P = 0.001), VEGF (x2 = 13.149,P= 0.001), MMP-2 (x2= 33.668, P= 0.001) and MMP-9(x2= 38.839, P = 0.001) was remarkably higher in Krukenberg tumor than in primary epithelial ovarian carcinoma. The correlation of CD44v6, VEGF, MMP-2, and MMP-9 was observed in primary epithelial ovarian carcinoma and Krukenberg tumor.CONCLUSION: CD44v6, VEGF, MMP-2, and MMP-9 are involved in ovarian carcinoma, gastric cancer and Krukenberg tumor. 2Prioritizing natural-selection signals from the deep-sequencing genomic data suggests multi-variant adaptation in Tibetan highlanders显示文摘Human genetic adaptation to high altitudes(>2500 m)has been extensively studied over the last few years,but few functional adaptive genetic variants have been identified,largely owing to the lack of deep-genome sequencing data available to previous studies.Here,w e build a list of putative adaptive variants,including 63 missense,7 loss-of-function;1,298 evolutionarily conserved variants and 509 expression quantitative traits loci.Notably,the top signal of selection is located in TMEM 247,a transmembrane protein-coding gene.The Tibetan version of TMEM 247 harbors one high-frequency(76.3%)missense variant,rsl 16983452(c.248C>T;p.Ala83Val);with the T allele derived from archaic ancestry and carried by>94%of Tibetans but absent or in low frequencies(<3%)in non-Tibetan populations.The rsl 16983452-T is strongly and positively correlated with altitude and significantly associated with reduced hemoglobin concentration(p=5.78×10^-5),red blood cell count(p=5.72×10^-7)and hematocrit(p=2.57×10^-6).In particular,TMEM247-rs 116983452 shows greater effect size and better predicts the phenotypic outcome than any E P A S1 variants in association with adaptive traits in Tibetans.Modeling the interaction between TM£M247-rsl 16983452 and EPAS1 variants indicates weak but statistically significant epistatic effects.Our results support that multiple variants may jointly deliver the fitness of the Tibetans on the plateau,where a complex model is needed to elucidate the adaptive evolution mechanism.Lian Deng Chao Zhang Kai Yuan Yang Gao Yuwen Pan Xueling Ge Yaoxi He Yuan Yuan Yan Lu Xiaoxi Zhang Hao Chen Haiyi Lou Xiaoji Wang Dongsheng Lu Jiaojiao Liu Lei Tian Qidi Feng Asifullah Khan Yajun Yang Zi-Bing Jin Jian Yang Fan Lu Jia Qu Longli Kang Bing Su Shuhua Xu 2019National Science Review2019,6,6:9
3Alternate row mulching optimizes soil temperature and water conditions and improves wheat yield in dryland farming显示文摘Straw mulching allows for effective water storage in dryland wheat production. Finding a suitable straw mulching model that facilitates wheat growth was the objective of this study. A 2-year field experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of two straw mulching patterns(FM, full coverage within all the rows; HM, half coverage within alternate rows) and two mulching rates(4.5 and 9.0 t ha^(–1)) on soil moisture, soil temperature, grain yield, and water use efficiency(WUE) of winter wheat in northern China, with no mulching(M0) as the control. Results showed that mulching increased the soil water storage in all growth stages under high mulching rates, with a stronger effect in later growth stages. Water storage under the HM model was greater in later stages than under the FM model. Soil water content of HM groups was higher than that of FM groups, especially in surface soil layers. Evapotranspiration decreased in mulched groups and was higher under high mulching rates. Aboveground biomass during each growth stage under the HM model was higher than that under M0 and FM models with the same mulched rate, leading to a relatively higher grain yield under the HM model. Mulching increased WUE, a trend that was more obvious under HM9.0 treatment. Warming effect of soil temperature under the HM pattern persisted longer than under the FM model with the same mulching rates. Accumulated soil temperature under mulched treatments increased, and the period of negative soil temperature decreased by 9–12 days under FM and by 10–20 days under HM. 5Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analysis of ferulic acidpuerarin-astragaloside in combination with neuroprotective in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effects of the active ingredients combined therapy on inflammatory factors interleukin 1 beta(IL-1β)and neuropeptide Y(NPY)based on pharmacodynamics in rats.Methods:The animal model was built by transient middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO).The method for evaluating the concentrations of the FA-Pr-AI components in rat plasma was established by using HPLC and the expression levels of IL-1βand NPY were determined by ELISA.A new mathematics method of the trend of percentage rate of change(PRC)was used to assess the correlation between pharmacokinetics(PK)and pharmacodynamics(PD).Results:FA-Pr-Al in combination reduced neurological deficits,decreased infarct volume and inhibited the expression levels of IL-1βand NPY(all P<0.05)compared with the model group.FA,Pr and Al all displayed two compartment open models in rats.Clockwise hysteresis loops were obtained by time-concentration-effect curves.IL-1βand NPY level changes in the plasma followed an opposite trend to the plasma concentration tendency after C_(max)was reached.Astragaloside's PRC value was significantly higher than those of FA and puerarin between 120 to 180 min.Conclusions:The pharmacokinetics of FA-PrAl in combination were closely related its pharmacodynamics in treating ischemia/reperfusion injury,and the components of FA-Pr-Al may have a synergistic pharmacological effect.Astragaloside may play a more pronounced role in regulating IL-1βand NPY levels compared with puerarin or FA.Li-Jun Ge Shou-Yan Fan Jie-Hong Yang Yi Wei Zhen-Hong Zhu Yi-Jia Lou Ying Guo Hai-Tong Wan Yi-Qiang Xie 2015Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2015,8,4:5

7New Result on Delay-dependent Stability for Markovian Jump Time-delay Systems With Partial Information on Transition Probabilities显示文摘This paper focuses on the delay-dependent stability for a kind of Markovian jump time-delay systems(MJTDSs),whose transition rates are incompletely known. In order to reduce the computational complexity and achieve better performance,auxiliary function-based double integral inequality is combined with extended Wirtinger's inequality and Jensen inequality to deal with the double integral and the triple integral in augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii function(ALKF) and their weak infinitesimal generator respectively, the more accurate approximation bounds with a fewer variables are derived. As a result, less conservative stability criteria are proposed in this paper. 8Dendritic branching patterns in platforms of complex Ni-based single crystal castings显示文摘Dendritic branching patterns at variable cross-sections in Ni-based single crystal(SX) castings of different generations were investigated using optical microscope(OM), electro probe microanalyzer(EPMA),differential scanning calorimeter(DSC), Thermo-Cal software and Pro-CAST software. Results show that the dendritic branching patterns are similar in outward platform in SXs of different generations. That is, the primary dendrites(PDs) are introduced into the platform by developing a series of secondary dendrites(SDs) to occupy the bottom of the platform, and the ternary dendrites(TDs) originating from these SDs grow upward to fill up the platform. With the SX generation increasing, the undercooling of melts in the inward platform increases significantly due to the increasing alloying elements and the segregation in the directional solidification(DS)process, and the growth velocity of the dendrite tip increases according to the dynamic model of dendrite growth,which is beneficial for the high-order dendrite development.
