1Schistosoma japonicum infection induces macrophage polarization显示文摘The role of macrophages(Mφ)as the first line of host defense is well accepted.These cells play a central role in orchestrating crucial functions during schistosomal infection.Thus,understanding the functional diversity of these cells in the process of infection as well as the mechanisms underlying these events is crucial for developing disease control strategies.In this study,we adopted a Mφpolarization recognition system.Ml macrophage was characterized by expressing CD16/32,IL-12 and iNOS.M2 macrophage was characterized by expressing CD206,IL-10 and arg-1.In vivo(mouse peritoneal macrophages of different infection stages were obtained)and in vitro(different 5.japonicum antigens were used to stimulate RAW264.7)were characterized by using the above mentioned system.NCA and ACA stimulated RAW264.7 express significantly higher levels of IL-12 while significantly higher levels of IL-10 were detected after soluble egg antigen(SEA)stimulation.The results showed that dramatic changes of antigen in the microenvironment before and after egg production led to macrophage polarization.Furthermore,through TLR blocking experiments,the TLR4 signaling pathway was found to play a role in the process of macrophage polarization toward Ml.Our data suggest that macrophage polarization during S.japonicum infection had significant effects on host immune responses to S.japonicum.Jingwei Xu Hao Zhang Lin Chen Donghui Zhang Minjun Ji Haiwei Wu Guanling Wu 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,4:20
2Characteristics and Origin of Tight Oil Accumulations in the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation of the Ordos Basin,North-Central China显示文摘The Upper Triassic oil accumulations in the Ordos Basin is the most successful tight oil play in China,with average porosity values of less than 10% and permeability values below 1.0 mD.This study investigated the geological characteristics and origin of the tight oil accumulations in the Chang 6 member of the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Shanbei area based on over 50,000 petrological,source-rock analysis,well logging and production data.The tight oil accumulation of the Chang 6 member is distributed continuously in the basin slope and the centre of the basin.The oilwater relationships are complex.Laumontite dissolution pores are the most important storage spaces,constituting 30%-60% of total porosity and showing a strong positive relationship with oil production.The pore-throat diameter is less than 1 μm,and the calculated critical height of the oil column is much larger than the tight sand thickness,suggesting that the buoyancy was probably of limited importance for oil migration.The pressure difference between the source rocks and sandstone reservoirs is inferred to have provided driving force for hydrocarbon migration.Two factors of source-reservoir configuration and laumontite dissolution contributed to the formation of the Chang 6 tight oil accumulations.Intense hydrocarbon generation and continuous sand bodies close to the hydrocarbon kitchen are the foundation for the large-scale oil distribution.Dissolution of feldspar-laumontite during the process of organic matter evolution generated abundant secondary pores and improved the reservoir quality.WU Songtao ZOU Caineng ZHU Rukai YAO Jingli TAO Shizhen YANG Zhi ZHAI Xiufen CUI Jingwei LIN Senhu 2016Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2016,90,5:13
3Design and baseline data of a populationbased metabonomics study of eye diseases in eastern China: the Yueqing Ocular Diseases Investigation显示文摘Background:China is undergoing a massive transition toward an urban and industrial economy.These changes will restructure the demographics and economy which will eventually influence the future patterns of disease.The risk factors of vision-impairing eye diseases remain ambiguous and poorly understood.Metabolomics is an ideal tool to understand and shed light on the ocular disease mechanisms for earlier treatment.This article aims to describe the design,methodology and baseline data of the Yueqing Ocular Diseases Investigation(YODI),a developed county population-based study to determine the prevalence and primary causes of visual impairment;also with metabonomics analysis we aimed to identify,predict and suggest some preventive biomarkers that cause blindness.Methods:A population-based,cross-sectional study.Randomized clustering sampling was used to identify adults aged 50 years and older in Xiangyang Town,Yueqing county-level City.The interviews covered demographic,behavioral,ocular risk factors and mental health state.The ocular examination included visual acuity,autorefraction,intraocular pressure,anterior and posterior segment examinations,fundus photography,retinal tomography and angiography,and visual field testing.Anthropometric measurements included height and weight,waist and hip circumference,blood pressure,pulse rate,electrocardiogram,and abdominal ultrasound scan.A venous blood sample was collected for laboratory tests and metabonomics studies.Results:Of the 5319 individuals recruited for the YODI,4769(89.7%)subjects were enrolled for analyses.The median age was 62.0 years,and 45.6%were male.The educational level of illiteracy or semi-illiteracy,primary,middle and high school or above was 29.8%,45.5%,20.1%,and 3.3%,respectively.Majority of the participants were female,younger,and less educated when compared with nonparticipants.The average body mass index and waist-hip ratios were 24.4±3.4 kg/m^(2) and 0.9±0.1 respectively.Blood sample collection reached a sample size of 1909(479 from subjects with selfreported diabetes and 1430 from one-third of the 4290 subjects without self-reported diabetes).Conclusions:The YODI provides population-based data with a high response rate(89.7%)on the prevalence and primary causes of major vision-impairing eye diseases in developed county areas in eastern China.Metabonomics analysis from YODI will provide further association of metabolic characteristics with the visual impairment eye diseases.The risk prediction model could be created and has the potential to be generalized to developed eastern areas in China for prevention.Yuxuan Deng Yuanbo Liang Sigeng Lin Liang Wen Jin Li Yue Zhou Meixiao Shen Jingwei Zheng Kemi Feng Yanting Sun Kwapong Willaim Robert Jia Qu Fan Lu 2020Eye and Vision2020,7,1:4
4Facile construction of two-dimensional coordination polymers with a well-designed redox-active organic linker for improved lithium ion battery performance显示文摘A well-designed redox-active organic linker,pyrazine-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylate(H_4pztc)with brimming active sites for lithium ions storage was utilized to construct coordination polymers(CPs)via a facile hydrothermal reaction.Those two isostructural two-dimensional(2D)CPs,namely[M_2(pztc)(H_2O)_6]_n(M=Co for 1 and Ni for 2),delivered excellent reversible capacities and stable cycling performance as anodes in lithium ion batteries.As demonstrated in electrochemical studies,1 and 2 can achieve highly reversible capacities of 815 and 536 mA h g^(-1)at 200 mA g^(-1)for 150 cycles,respectively,best performed for the reported2D-CP-based anode materials.The electrochemical mechanism studies showed that the remarkable performances can be ascribed to the synergistic Li-storage redox reactions of metal centers and organic moieties.Our work highlights the opportunities of using a well-designed organic ligand to construct low-dimensional CPs as new type of electrode materials for advanced lithium ion batteries.Jingwei Liu Lin Zhang Huanhuan Li Peng Zhao Peng Ren Wei Shi Peng Cheng 2019Science China Chemistry2019,62,5:3
5Ripple-associated high-firing interneurons in the hippocampal CA1 region显示文摘By simultaneously recording the activity of individual neurons and field potentials in freely behaving mice, we found two types of interneurons firing at high frequency in the hippocampal CA1 region, which had high correlations with characteristic sharp wave-associated ripple oscillations (100―250 Hz) during slow-wave sleep. The firing of these two types of interneurons highly synchronized with ripple oscillations during slow-wave sleep, with strongly increased firing rates corresponding to individual ripple episodes. Interneuron type I had at most one spike in each sub-ripple cycle of ripple episodes and the peak firing rate was 310±33.17 Hz. Interneuron type II had one or two spikes in each sub-ripple cycle and the peak firing rate was 410±47.61 Hz. During active exploration, their firing was phase locked to theta oscillations with the highest probability at the trough of theta wave. Both two types of interneurons increased transiently their firing rates responding to the startling shake stimuli. 6Synergistic inhibitory effect of wogonin and low-dose paclitaxel on gastric cancer cells and tumor xenografts显示文摘Objective:To investigate the synergistic inhibitory effects of wogonin(WOG)and chemotherapeutic drugs on growth of gastric cancer cells and tumor xenografts.Methods:The IC50 values of WOG,cisplatin(CDDP)and paclitaxel(PTX)in four gastric cancer cell lines were determined by MTS assay.Hoechst staining and the median effect method of Chou-Talalay were used to assess the apoptosis of cells and the interaction of two drugs,respectively.BGC-823-derived xenografts in nude mice were established to investigate the effects of WOG combined with chemotherapeutic drugs in vivo.Results:WOG,CDDP and PTX inhibited the growth of BGC-823,MGC-803,MKN-45 and HGC-27 gastric cancer cells in a dose-dependent manner.WOG combined with CDDP or PTX synergistically inhibited the growth of all gastric cancer cell lines in vitro.In BGC-823,MGC-803,HGC-27 and MKN-45 cell lines,synergisms between WOG and PTX were shown when the fraction affected(Fa)values were<0.45,<0.90,<0.85 and<0.60.While WOG and CDDP had a synergistic inhibitory effect when the Fa values were>0,>0,>0.65 and>0.10.From the results of in vivo experiments using tumor xenografts,WOG and low-dose PTX showed better efficacy than either drug alone.The inhibitory percentages of tumor weight were 61.58%,20.29%,and 22.28%for the combination,WOG-alone,and low-dose PTX-alone groups,respectively.Notably,WOG combined with CDDP displayed very high toxicity.Conclusions:A synergistic inhibitory effect on growth was observed when WOG was combined with low-dose PTX in gastric cancer cells and tumor xenografts.These findings provide evidence for the design of a clinical trial to test the combination of WOG with low-dose PTX in human gastric cancer.Tingting Wang Jing Gao Jingwei Yu Lin Shen 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,5:3
7Black phosphorus-based van der Waals heterostructures for mid-infrared light-emission applications显示文摘Mid-infrared(MIR)light-emitting devices play a key role in optical communications,thermal imaging,and material analysis applications.Two-dimensional(2D)materials offer a promising direction for next-generation MIR devices owing to their exotic optical properties,as well as the ultimate thickness limit.More importantly,van der Waals heterostructures-combining the best of various 2D materials at an artificial atomic level-provide many new possibilities for constructing MIR light-emitting devices of large tuneability and high integration.Here,we introduce a simple but novel van der Waals heterostructure for MIR light-emission applications built from thin-film BP and transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs),in which BP acts as an MIR light-emission layer.For BP–WSe_(2) heterostructures,an enhancement of~200% in the photoluminescence intensities in the MIR region is observed,demonstrating highly efficient energy transfer in this heterostructure with type-Ⅰ band alignment.For BP-MoS_(2) heterostructures,a room temperature MIR light-emitting diode(LED)is enabled through the formation of a vertical PN heterojunction at the interface.Our work reveals that the BP-TMDC heterostructure with efficient light emission in the MIR range,either optically or electrically activated,provides a promising platform for infrared light property studies and applications.Xinrong Zong Huamin Hu Gang Ouyang Jingwei Wang Run Shi Le Zhang Qingsheng Zeng Chao Zhu Shouheng Chen Chun Cheng Bing Wang Han Zhang Zheng Liu Wei Huang Taihong Wang Lin Wang Xiaolong Chen 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3
8Cell wallβ-1,4-galactan regulated by the BPC1/BPC2-GALS1 module aggravates salt sensitivity in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Salinity severely reduces plant growth and limits agricultural productivity.Dynamic changes and rearrangement of the plant cell wall is an important response to salt stress,but relatively little is known about the biological importance of specific cell wall components in the response.Here,we demonstrate a specific function ofβ-1,4-galactan in salt hypersensitivity.We found that salt stress induces the accumulation ofβ-1,4-galactan in root cell walls by up regulating the expression of GALACTAN SYNTHASE 1(GALS1),which encodes aβ-1,4-galactan synthase.The accumulation ofβ-1,4-galactan negatively affects salt tolerance.Exogenous application of D-galactose(D-Gal)causes an increase inβ-1,4-galactan levels in the wild type and GALS1 mutants,especially in GALS1 overexpressors,which correlated with the aggravated salt hypersensitivity.Furthermore,we discovered that the BARLEY B RECOMBINANT/BASIC PENTACYSTEINE transcription factors BPC1/BPC2 positively regulate plant salt tolerance by repressing GALS1 expression andβ-1,4-galactan accumulation.Genetic analysis suggested that GALS1 is genetically epistatic to BPC1/BPC2 with respect to the control of salt sensitivity as well as accumulation ofβ-1,4-galactan.Taken together,our results reveal a new regulatory mechanism by whichβ-1,4-galactan regulated by the BPC1/BPC2-GALS1 module aggravates salt sensitivity in Arabidopsis thaliana.Jingwei Yan Ya Liu Lan Yang Huan He Yun Huang Lin Fang Henrik Vibe Scheller Mingyi Jiang Aying Zhang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:3
9Integration of high-fidelity model of forward variable area bypass injector into zero-dimensional variable cycle engine model显示文摘Forward Variable Area Bypass Injector(FVABI)is one of key components which contributes to modulate the cycle parameters of Variable Cycle Engine(VCE)under various operation conditions.The modeling method of zero-dimensional FVABI was reviewed and its deficiency was analyzed based on FVABI flow characteristic.In order to improve the accuracy of VCE performance simulation,the high-fidelity modeling method of FVABI was developed based on its working characteristics.Then it was coupled with the zero-dimensional VCE model and the multi-level VCE model was built.The results indicate that the geometric and aerodynamic parameters can affect the interaction between the two airflows and the zero-dimensional FVABI model is too simple to predict the component performance accurately,especially when the FVABI inner bypass is chocked.Based on the performance curves for single bypass mode and the regression model of multi-scale support vector regression for double bypass mode,the high-fidelity model can predict FVABI performance accurately and rapidly.The integration of high-fidelity FVABI model into zerodimensional VCE model can be done by adjusting iterative variables and balance equations.The multi-level model has good convergence and it can predict VCE performance when the FVABI inner bypass is chocked.Fu SONG Li ZHOU Zhanxue WANG Zhifu LIN Jingwei SHI 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,8:3
10Application of Seismic Anisotropy Caused by Fissures in Coal Seams to the Detection of Coal-bed Methane Reservoirs显示文摘Coal-bed methane is accumulated in micro-fissures and cracks in coal seams. The coal seam is the source terrace and reservoir bed of the coal-bed methane (Qian et al., 1996). Anisotropy of coal seams is caused by the existence of fissures. 15Online optimization for optical readout of a single electron spin in diamond显示文摘The nitrogen-vacancy(NV)center in diamond has been developed as a promising platform for quantum sensing,especially for magnetic field measurements in the nano-tesla range with a nano-meter resolution.Optical spin readout performance has a direct effect on the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of experiments.In this work,we introduce an online optimization method to customize the laser waveform for readout.Both simulations and experiments reveal that our new scheme optimizes the optically detected magnetic resonance in NV center.The SNR of optical spin readout has been witnessed a 44.1%increase in experiments.In addition,we applied the scheme to the Rabi oscillation experiment,which shows an improvement of 46.0%in contrast and a reduction of 12.1%in mean deviation compared to traditional constant laser power SNR optimization.This scheme is promising to improve sensitivities for a wide range of NV-based applications in the future.Xue Lin Jingwei Fan Runchuan Ye Mingti Zhou Yumeng Song Dawei Lu Nanyang Xu 2023Frontiers of physics2023,18,2:0
16Key geological factors controlling the estimated ultimate recovery of shale oil and gas: A case study of the Eagle Ford shale, Gulf Coast Basin, USA显示文摘Based on 991 groups of analysis data of shale samples from the Lower Member of the Cretaceous Eagle Ford Formation of 1317 production wells and 72 systematic coring wells in the U.S. Gulf Basin, the estimated ultimate recovery(EUR) of shale oil and gas of the wells are predicted by using two classical EUR estimation models, and the average values predicted excluding the effect of engineering factors are taken as the final EUR. Key geological factors controlling EUR of shale oil and gas are fully investigated. The reservoir capacity, resources, flow capacity and fracability are the four key geological parameters controlling EUR. The storage capacity of shale oil and gas is directly controlled by total porosity and hydrocarbon-bearing porosity, and indirectly controlled by total organic carbon(TOC) and vitrinite reflectance(Ro). The resources of shale oil and gas are controlled by hydrocarbon-bearing porosity and effective shale thickness etc. The flow capacity of shale oil and gas is controlled by effective permeability, crude oil density, gas-oil ratio, condensate oil-gas ratio, formation pressure gradient, and Ro. The fracability of shale is directly controlled by brittleness index, and indirectly controlled by clay content in volume. EUR of shale oil and gas is controlled by six geological parameters: it is positively correlated with effective shale thickness, TOC and fracture porosity, negatively correlated with clay content in volume, and increases firstly and then decreases with the rise of Ro and formation pressure gradient. 18HGeoHashBase: an optimized storage model of spatial objects for location-based services显示文摘Many location-based services need to query objects existing in a specific space,such as location-based tourism resource recommendation.Both a large number of spatial objects and the real-time object access requirements of location-based services pose a big challenge for spatial object storage and query management.In this paper,we propose HGeoHashBase,an improved storage model by integrating GeoHash with key-value structure,to organize spatial objects for efficient range queries.GeoHash is responsible for spatial encoding and key-value structure as underlying data storage.Both the similarity of the encodings for objects in the close geographical locations and the multi-version data mechanism are blended into the proposed model well.Considering the tradeoff between encoding precision and query performance,a theoretical proof is presented.Extensive experiments are designed and conducted,whose results show that the proposed model can gain significant performance improvement.Jingwei ZHANG Chao YANG Qing YANG Yuming LIN Yanchun ZHANG 2020Frontiers of Computer Science2020,14,1:0

20Urban Renewal Practice Based on the Activation Use of Greenbelts: A Case Study of Greenways in Taichung显示文摘The greenway system in Taichung is a successful case that regenerates urban greenbelts through various activation strategies. This paper takes greenways in Taichung for example, analyzes their renewal plans, and finds out their experience of regeneration. The greenways in Taichung were first designed to control urban sprawl and then became idle greenbelts. Afterwards, the greenways were transformed into an urban vitality belt with the joint efforts of multiple parties. The existing greenbelt model in many cities does have some deficiencies.
