2Granitic magmatism related to early Paleozoic continental collision in North Qinling显示文摘Zircon U-Pb dating of early Paleozoic granitoids in North Qinling yields three age peaks of^500,~452 and^420 Ma.They can be temporally correlated with high-pressure to ultrahigh-pressure metamorphism at ca.500 Ma,retrograde granulite-facies metamorphisms at ca.450 Ma and amphibolite-facies metamorphism at ca.420 Ma,respectively.The first episode of granitic magmatism is considered to have resulted from continental collision,whereas the second and third episodes of magmatism are attributed to crustal uplifting.Combined with the regional geological setting and new results from high-pressure and ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rocks,the ca.500 Ma magmatism is interpreted as the result of partial melting of sedimentary rocks in accretionary wedge between the south Qinling microcontinent and the north Qinling belt including the southern margin of the North China Craton.The ca.450 Ma intensive magmatism is ascribed to dehydration melting of deeply subducted continental crust at thickened conditions in response to slab breakoff,and the final magmatism in ca.420 Ma is interpreted as the product of partial melting during the tectonic transition from contraction to extension.ZHANG ChengLi LIU Liang WANG Tao WANG XiaoXia LI Lei GONG QiFu LI XiaoFei 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,35:30
3A reversed CD4/CD8 ratio of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and a high percentage of CD4^(+)FOXP3^(+) regulatory T cells are significantly associated with clinical outcome in squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix显示文摘In this study,40 biopsy samples collected from cervical cancer patients at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University,China,were retrospectively assessed using immunohistochemistry for CD4^(+) and CD8^(+) tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes(TILs)and were analyzed for the expression of FOXP3,OX40,granzyme B(GrB)and perforin(Prf).The proliferating index of the TILs was determined by assessing Ki67 expression.We determined the prognostic value of low and high numbers of TILs on survival by performing Kaplan–Meier analysis using median values as the cut-off points.Except for the number of CD4^(+)FOXP3^(+) regulatory T cells(Tregs)and the CD4/CD8 ratio,none of the CD4^(+),CD8^(+),OX401,GrB^(+) or Prf^(+) TILs were associated with the overall 5-year survival rate.The 5-year survival rate was significantly lower in patients who had a high percentage of Tregs as compared with the those who had a lower percentage(35.3%versus 88.9%,P50.001),while the 5-year survival rate was significantly higher in patients with a high CD4/CD8 ratio as compared with patients who had a low CD4/CD8 ratio(82.4%versus 44.4%,P50.029).When we considered the deaths and surviving cases as separate groups,we found that both the number of CD4^(+) T cells and the CD4/CD8 ratio were significantly lower in patients who died as compared with those who survived(26.33±11.80 versus 47.79±38.18,P=0.023 and 0.60±0.25 versus 1.17±1.02,P=0.019,respectively).In conclusion,decreased proportions of tumor-infiltrating CD4^(+) T cells with high percentages of Tregs and reversed CD4/CD8 ratios were significantly associated with the clinical outcome of patients with cervical carcinoma.Walayat Shah Xiaofei Yan Li Jing Yi Zhou Hongwei Chen Yili Wang 2011Cellular & Molecular Immunology2011,8,1:24

6The China Multi-Model Ensemble Prediction System and Its Application to Flood-Season Prediction in 2018显示文摘Multi-model ensemble prediction is an effective approach for improving the prediction skill short-term climate prediction and evaluating related uncertainties. Based on a combination of localized operation outputs of Chinese climate models and imported forecast data of some international operational models, the National Climate Center of the China Meteorological Administration has established the China multi-model ensemble prediction system version 1.0 (CMMEv1.0) for monthly-seasonal prediction of primary climate variability modes and climate elements. We verified the real-time forecasts of CMMEv1.0 for the 2018 flood season (June-August) starting from March 2018 and evaluated the 1991-2016 hindcasts of CMMEv1.0. The results show that CMMEv1.0 has a significantly high prediction skill for global sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies, especially for the El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in the tropical central-eastern Pacific. Additionally, its prediction skill for the North Atlantic SST triple (NAST) mode is high, but is relatively low for the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) mode. Moreover, CMMEv1.0 has high skills in predicting the western Pacific subtropical high (WPSH) and East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) in the June-July-August (JJA) season. The JJA air temperature in the CMMEv1.0 is predicted with a fairly high skill in most regions of China, while the JJA precipitation exhibits some skills only in northwestern and eastern China. For real-time forecasts in March-August 2018, CMMEv1.0 has accurately predicted the ENSO phase transition from cold to neutral in the tropical central-eastern Pacific and captures evolutions of the NAST and IOD indices in general. The system has also captured the main features of the summer WPSH and EASM indices in 2018, except that the predicted EASM is slightly weaker than the observed. 7CAS FGOALS-f3-L Model Datasets for CMIP6 Historical Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project Simulation显示文摘The outputs of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System(FGOALS-f3-L) model for the baseline experiment of the Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project simulation in the Diagnostic,Evaluation and Characterization of Klima common experiments of phase 6 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6) are described in this paper. The CAS FGOALS-f3-L model, experiment settings, and outputs are all given. In total,there are three ensemble experiments over the period 1979–2014, which are performed with different initial states. The model outputs contain a total of 37 variables and include the required three-hourly mean, six-hourly transient, daily and monthly mean datasets. The baseline performances of the model are validated at different time scales. The preliminary evaluation suggests that the CAS FGOALS-f3-L model can capture the basic patterns of atmospheric circulation and precipitation well, including the propagation of the Madden–Julian Oscillation, activities of tropical cyclones, and the characterization of extreme precipitation. 8Effect of herb-partitioned moxibustion on pain and quality of life in women with endometriosis: a protocol for a randomized clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of herb-partitioned moxibustion(HPM) on pain and quality of life in women with endometriosis.METHODS: Thirty-six patients will be randomly assigned to a treatment group or a wait-list control group. The treatment group will receive 12 sessions of HPM in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region for 3 months. Wait-list participants will not receive any specific treatments until the trial is completed.RESULTS: The primary outcome measure is pain intensity assessed by a Visual Analogue Scale at baseline, months 1, 2, and 3 in the treatment period,and months 4, 5, and 6 in the follow-up period. 9Facile synthesis of ultrathin metal-organic framework nanosheets for Lewis acid catalysis显示文摘Ultrathin metalorganic framework (MOF) nanosheets are attracting great interest in catalysis due to their unique and intriguing two-dime nsional (2D) features. Although many progresses have been achieved, it is still highly desirable to develop novel strategies for controllable synthesis of the well-defined ultrathin MOF nanosheets. Herein we report a polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)-assisted route to synthesize the ultrathin Ni-MOF nanosheets characteristic of 1.5 nm in thickness, in which PVP is reacted with 2-aminoterephthalic acid (H2BDC-NH2) via formation of C=N bon d, followed by coord inatio n with Ni2+ io ns to form the ultrathi n MOF n anosheets. 11Bayesian discriminant analysis for prediction of coal and gas outbursts and application显示文摘Based on the principle of Bayesian discriminant analysis, we established a model of Bayesian discriminant analysis for predicting coal and gas outbursts. We selected five major indices which affect outbursts, i.e., initial speed of methane diffusion, a consistent coal coefficient, gas pressure, destructive style of coal and mining depth, as discriminating factors of the model. In our model, we divided the type of coal and gas outbursts into four grades regarded as four normal populations. We then obtained the corresponding discriminant functions through training a set of data from engineering examples as learning samples and evaluated their criteria by a back substitution method to verify the optimal properties of the model. Finally, we applied the model to the prediction of coal and gas outbursts in the Yunnan Enhong Mine. Our results coincided completely with the actual situation. 12microRNA-mediated R gene regulation: molecular scabbards for double-edged swords显示文摘Plant resistance(R) proteins are immune receptors that recognize pathogen effectors and trigger rapid defense responses, namely effector-triggered immunity. R protein-mediated pathogen resistance is usually race specific. During plant-pathogen coevolution,plant genomes accumulated large numbers of R genes. Even though plant R genes provide important natural resources for breeding disease-resistant crops, their presence in the plant genome comes at a cost. Misregulation of R genes leads to developmental defects, such as stunted growth and reduced fertility. In the past decade, many microRNAs(miRNAs) have been identified to target various R genes in plant genomes. miRNAs reduce R gene levels under normal conditions and allow induction of R gene expression under various stresses. For these reasons, we consider R genes to be double-edged 'swords' and miRNAs as molecular 'scabbards'. 13Piezo1 channel activation in response to mechanobiological acoustic radiation force in osteoblastic cells显示文摘Mechanobiological stimuli,such as low-intensity pulsed ultrasound(LIPUS),have been shown to promote bone regeneration and fresh fracture repair,but the fundamental biophysical mechanisms involved remain elusive.Here,we propose that a mechanosensitive ion channel of Piezo1 plays a pivotal role in the noninvasive ultrasound-induced mechanical transduction pathway to trigger downstream cellular signal processes.This study aims to investigate the expression and role of Piezo1 in MC3T3-E1 cells after LIPUS treatment.Immunofluorescence analysis shows that Piezo1 was present on MC3T3-E1 cells and could be ablated by shRNA transfection.MC3T3-E1 cell migration and proliferation were significantly increased by LIPUS stimulation,and knockdown of Piezo1 restricted the increase in cell migration and proliferation.After labeling with Fluo-8,MC3T3-E1 cells exhibited fluorescence intensity traces with several high peaks compared with the baseline during LIPUS stimulation.No obvious change in the fluorescence intensity tendency was observed after LIPUS stimulation in shRNA-Piezo1 cells,which was similar to the results in the GsMTx4-treated group.The phosphorylation ratio of ERK1/2 in MC3T3-E1 cells was significantly increased(P<0.01)after LIPUS stimulation.In addition,Phalloidin-iFluor-labeled F-actin filaments immediately accumulated in the perinuclear region after LIPUS stimulation,continued for 5 min,and then returned to their initial levels at 30 min.These results suggest that Piezo1 can transduce LIPUS-induced mechanical signals into intracellular calcium.The influx of Ca2+serves as a second messenger to activate ERK1/2 phosphorylation and perinuclear F-actin filament polymerization,which regulate the proliferation of MC3T3-E1 cells.Guangdao Zhang Xiaofei Li Lin Wu Yi-Xian Qin 2021Bone Research2021,9,2:9

15Study on preparation and properties of CeO_2/epoxy resin composite coating on sintered NdFeB magnet显示文摘The CeO_2/epoxy resin composite coating was deposited on NdFeB substrate by cathode electrophoresis method for enhancing the anticorrosion and anti-wear performances. The morphologies and structures were characterized by a scanning electron microscope and an X-ray diffractometer. The micro hardness of the composite coating was evaluated by a microhardness tester. The corrosive behaviors of the coatings were studied by potentiodynamic polarization curve, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and neutral salt spray tests. The concentration of CeO_2 nanoparticles(NPs) in the electrophoresis bath was optimized according to the coating structures and anticorrosion performances. The results show that CeO_2 NPs can enhance the microhardness of the composite coatings. Moreover, the nanoparticles disperse uniformly in the matrix when the concentration is lower than 30 g/L. The microhardness of CeO_2/epoxy resin(30 g/L) composite coating is about 63% higher than that of the blank epoxy resin coating. And the NSS time of the CeO_2/epoxy resin(30 g/L) composite coated sample can reach 1248 h.Meanwhile, the composite coatings possess no deteriorate influence on the magnetic properties of NdFeB substrates. 16Evaluation of maize inbred lines currently used in Chinese breeding programs for resistance to six foliar diseases显示文摘Foliar diseases are common in most maize-producing regions and have caused serious yield reduction in China. To evaluate genetic resistance of parental lines actively used in maize breeding programs to major foliar diseases, 152 maize inbred lines were tested against northern corn leaf blight(NCLB), southern corn leaf blight(SCLB), Curvularia leaf spot(CLS),gray leaf spot(GLS), common rust, and southern rust from 2003 to 2005. A small number of lines exhibited highly resistant reactions to common rust and southern rust, but none were highly resistant to NCLB, SCLB, CLS, and GLS. Although 53.3%, 40.8%, and 80.7% of lines were resistant to NCLB, SCLB, and common rust, the resistance in most lines was moderate.Resistance to CLS, GLS, and southern rust was rare in this collection of maize lines. Five lines,313, Chang 7-2, Qi 319, Qi 318, and Shen 137, were resistant to five diseases tested. Lines belonging to heterotic subgroup PB exhibited better resistance to the foliar diseases than lines from other heterotic subgroups, such as BSSS, PA, Lancaster, LRC, and PA. 17Sequential fate-switches in stem-like cells drive the tumorigenic trajectory from human neural stem cells to malignant glioma显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM)is an incurable and highly heterogeneous brain tumor,originating from human neural stem/progenitor cells(hNSCs/hNPCs)years ahead of diagnosis.Despite extensive efforts to characterize hNSCs and end-stage GBM at bulk and single-cell levels,the de novo gliomagenic path from hNSCs is largely unknown due to technical difficulties in early-stage sampling and preclinical modeling.Here,we established two highly penetrant hNSC-derived malignant glioma models,which resemble the histopathology and transcriptional heterogeneity of human GBM.Integrating time-series analyses of whole-exome sequencing,bulk and single-cell RNA-seq,we reconstructed gliomagenic trajectories,and identified a persistent NSC-like population at all stages of tumorigenesis.Through trajectory analyses and lineage tracing,we showed that tumor progression is primarily driven by multi-step transcriptional reprogramming and fate-switches in the NSC-like cells,which sequentially generate malignant heterogeneity and induce tumor phenotype transitions.We further uncovered stage-specific oncogenic cascades,and among the candidate genes we functionally validated C1QL1 as a new glioma-promoting factor.Importantly,the neurogenic-to-gliogenic switch in NSC-like cells marks an early stage characterized by a burst of oncogenic alterations,during which transient AP-1 inhibition is sufficient to inhibit gliomagenesis.Together,our results reveal previously undercharacterized molecular dynamics and fate choices driving de novo gliomagenesis from hNSCs,and provide a blueprint for potential early-stage treatment/diagnosis for GBM.Xiaofei Wang Ran Zhou Yanzhen Xiong Lingling Zhou Xiang Yan Manli Wang Fan Li Chuanxing Xie Yiming Zhang Zongyao Huang Chaoqiong Ding Kaidou Shi Weida Li Yu Liu Zhongwei Cao Zhen-Ning Zhang Shengtao Zhou Chong Chen Yan Zhang Lu Chen Yuan Wang 2021Cell Research2021,31,6:8

19Polybrominated diphenyl ethers in chicken tissues and eggs from an electronic waste recycling area in southeast China显示文摘The levels and distributions of polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) in chicken tissues from an electronic waste(e-waste) recycling area in southeast China were investigated.Human dietary intake by local residents via chicken muscle and eggs was estimated.The mean PBDEs concentrations in tissues ranged from 15.2 to 3138.1 ng/g lipid weight(lw) and in egg the concentration was 563.5 ng/g lw.The results showed that the level of total PBDEs(ΣPBDEs) in the chicken tissue was 2-3 orders of magnitude higher than those reported in the literature.The large difference of ΣPBDEs concentrations between tissues confirmed that the distribution of PBDEs in tissues depend on tissue-specificity rather than the 'lipid-compartment'.BDE-209 was the predominant congener(82.5%-94.7% of ΣPBDEs) in all chicken tissues except in brain(34.7% of ΣPBDEs),which indicated that deca-BDE(the major commercial PBDE formulation comprising 65%-70% of total production) was major pollution source in this area and could be bioaccumulated in terrestrial animals.The dietary PBDEs intake of the local residents from chicken muscle and egg,assuming only local bred chickens and eggs were consumed,ranged from 2.2 to 22.5 ng/(day·kg body weight(bw)) with a mean value of 13.5 ng/(day·kg bw),which was one order of magnitude higher than the value reported in previous studies for consumption of all foodstuffs.Xiaofei Qin Zhanfen Qin Yan Li Yaxian Zhao Xijuan Xia Shishuai Yan Mi Tian Xingru Zhao Xiaobai Xu Yongjian Yang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,1:8
20Research and application of a power-flow-calculation method in multiterminal VSC-HVDC power grid显示文摘For demonstrating a multiterminal voltage-source converter(VSC)-based high-voltage DC(HVDC)(VSCHVDC) project, this study puts forward a technical route for calculating the power flow in a 500-kV VSC-HVDC power grid in comparison with that of an AC power grid. The Jacobian matrix used in the power-flow calculation was deduced through methods such as Newton–Laphson iteration and Taylor series expansion. Further, the operation effect of powerflow calculation on a true bipolar VSC-HVDC power grid was analyzed briefly. The elements of the Jacobian matrix corresponding to VSC were studied under the mode of droop control and the control strategy of VSC-HVDC power grid was analyzed in detail. The power-flow calculation model for VSC-HVDC power grid of the master–slave control mode was simplified using the PQ decomposition method of the power-flow calculation of an AC power grid. Moreover, a four-terminal model of the Zhangbei VSC-HVDC demonstration project was established and tested on MATLAB. The simulation results under two kinds of operating conditions were analyzed and compared to the results of BPA; the deviation between the power-flow results was studied.
