1ECharts: A declarative framework for rapid construction of web-based visualization显示文摘While there have been a dozen of authoring systems and programming toolkits for visual design and development,users who do not have programming skills,such as data analysts or interface designers,still may feel cumbersome to efficiently implement a web-based visualization.In this paper,we present ECharts,an open-sourced,web-based,cross-platform framework that supports the rapid construction of interactive visualization.The motivation is driven by three goals:easy-touse,rich built-in interactions,and high performance.The kernel of ECharts is a suite of declarative visual design language that customizes built-in chart types.The underlying streaming architecture,together with a high-performance graphics renderer based on HTML5 canvas,enables the high expandability and performance of ECharts.We report the design,implementation,and applications of ECharts with a diverse variety of examples.We compare the utility and performance of ECharts with C3.js,HighCharts,and Chart.js.Results of the experiments demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of our framework.Since the first release in June 2013,ECharts has iterated 63 versions,and attracted over 22,000 star counts and over 1700 related projects in the GitHub.ECharts is regarded as a leading visualization development tool in the world,and ranks the third in the GitHub visualization tab.Deqing Li Honghui Mei Yi Shen Shuang Su Wenli Zhang Junting Wang Ming Zu Wei Chen 2018Visual Informatics2018,2,2:69

4Somatic Embryogenesis Receptor Kinases Control Root Development Mainly via Brassinosteroid-Independent Actions in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Brassinosteroids(BRs),a group of plant steroidal hormones,play critical roles in many aspects of plant growth and development.Previous studies showed that BRI1-mediated BR signaling regulates cell division and differentiation during Arabidopsis root development via interplaying with auxin and other phytohormones.Arabidopsis somatic embryogenesis receptor-like kinases(SERKs),as co-receptors of BRI1,were found to play a fundamental role in an early activation step of BR signaling pathway.Here we report a novel function of SERKs in regulating Arabidopsis root development.Genetic analyses indicated that SERKs control root growth mainly via a BR-independent pathway.Although BR signaling pathway is completely disrupted in the serk1 bak1 bkk1 triple mutant,the root growth of the triple mutant is much severely damaged than the BR deficiency or signaling null mutants.More detailed analyses indicated that the triple mutant exhibited drastically reduced expression of a number of genes critical to polar auxin transport,cell cycle,endodermis development and root meristem differentiation,which were not observed in null BR biosynthesis mutant cpd and null BR signaling mutant bri1-701.Junbo Du Hongju Yin Shasha Zhang Zhuoyun Wei Baolin Zhao Jinghua Zhang Xiaoping Gou Honghui Lin Jia Li 2012Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2012,54,6:22
5T cell–associated immunoregulation and antiviral effect of oxymatrine in hydrodynamic injection HBV mouse model显示文摘Although oxymatrine(OMT) has been shown to directly inhibit the replication of hepatitis B virus(HBV) in vitro, limited research has been done with this drug in vivo. In the present study, the antiviral effect of OMT was investigated in an immunocompetent mouse model of chronic HBV infection.The infection was achieved by tail vein injection of a large volume of DNA solution. OMT(2.2, 6.7 and20 mg/kg) was administered by daily intraperitoneal injection for 6 weeks. The efficacy of OMT was evaluated by the levels of HBV DNA, hepatitis B surface antigen(HBs Ag), hepatitis B e antigen(HBe Ag)and hepatitis B core antigen(HBc Ag). The immunoregulatory activity of OMT was evaluated by serum ELISA and flow cytometry. Results shows that OMT at 20 mg/kg inhibited HBV replication, and it was more efficient than entecavir(ETV) in the elimination of serum HBs Ag and intrahepatic HBc Ag. Inaddition, OMT accelerated the production of interferon-γ(IFN-γ) in a dose-dependent manner in CD4^+T cells. Our findings demonstrate the beneficial effects of OMT on the enhancement of immunological function and in the control of HBV antigens. 6Cas9-NG Greatly Expands the Targeting Scope of the Genome-Editing Toolkit by Recognizing NG and Other Atypical PAMs in Rice显示文摘CRISPR technologies enabling precise genome manipulation are valuable for gene function studies and molecular crop breeding. However, the requirement of a protospacer adjacent motif (PAM)y such as NGG and TTN, for Cas protein recognition restricts the selection of targetable genomic loci in practical applications of CRISPR technologies. Recently Cas9-NG, which recognizes a minimal NG PAM, was reported to expand the targeting space of genome editing in human cells, but it remains unclear whether this Cas9 variant can be used in plants. In this study, we evaluated the nuclease activity of Cas9-NG toward various NGN PAMs by targeting endogenous genes in transgenic rice. We found that Cas9-NG edits all NGG, NGA, NGT, and NGC sites with impaired activity, while the gene-edited plants were dominated by monoallelic mutations. Cas9-NG-engineered base editors were then developed and used to generate O s B Z R I gainof- function plants that can not be created by other available Cas9-engineered base editors. Moreover, we showed that a Cas9-NG-based transcriptional activator efficiently upregulated the expression of endogenous target genes in rice. In addition, we discovered that Cas9-NG recognizes NAC, NTG, NTT, and NCG apart from NG PAM. 9A new species of Megophrys (Amphibia:Anura:Megophryidae) from the northwestern Hunan Province,China显示文摘A new species of Megophrys (Amphibia: Anura: Megophryidae), Megophrys tuberogranulatus Shen, Mo et Li, sp.nov. (Holotype HNUL 03080902, adult male, SVL: 38.2 mm), from Sangzhi County, Hunan Province, is described. Megophrystuberogranulatus is closely related to both Megophrys kuatunensis and Megophrys minor. Characters of the new species that differentiatethis species from close relatives are skin granulated with big tubercles on the dorsal sides of both thigh and tibia, thebigger inner metacarpal tubercle, upper eyelid wider than the interorbital space, hind limbs longer, overlapping of the left andright calcaneal parts. 10Reduced function and disassembled microtubules of cultured cardiomyocytes in spaceflight显示文摘Lack of gravity during spaceflight has profound effects on cardiovascular system, but little is known about how the cardiomyocytes respond to microgravity. In the present study, the effects of spaceflight on the structure and function of cultured cardiomyocytes were reported. The primary cultures of neo- natal rat cardiomyocytes were carried on Shenzhou-6 spacecraft and activated at 4 h in orbit. 8 samples were fixed respectively at 4, 48 and 96 h after launching for immunofluorescence of cytoskeleton, and 2 samples remained unfixed to analyze contractile and secretory functions of the cultures. Ground sam- ples were treated in our laboratory in parallel. After 115 h spaceflight, video recordings displayed that the number of spontaneous beating sites in flown samples decreased significantly, and the cells in the beating aggregate contracted in fast frequency without synchrony. Radioimmunoassay of the medium showed that the atrial natriuretic peptide secreted from flown cells reduced by 59.6%. Confocal images demonstrated the time-dependant disassembly of mirotubules versus unchanged distribution and or- ganization of microfilaments. 11SHY2 as a node in the regulation of root meristem development by auxin, brassinosteroids, and cytokinin显示文摘In multicellular organisms,the balance be-tween cell division and differentiation determines organ size,and represents a central unknown in devel-opmental biology.In Arabidopsis roots,this balance is mediated between cytokinin and auxin through a reg-ulatory circuit converging on the IAA3/SHORT HYPO-COTYL 2(SHY2)gene.Here,we show that crosstalk between brassinosteroids(BRs)and auxin occurs in the vascular transition zone to promote root meristem de-velopment.We found that BR increases root meristem size by up-regulating expression of the PINFORMED 7(PIN7)gene and down-regulating expression of the SHY2 gene.In addition,BES1 could directly bind to the pro-moter regions of both PIN7 and SHY2,indicating that PIN7 and SHY2 mediate the BR-induced growth of the root meristem by serving as direct targets of BES1.Moreover,the PIN7 overexpression and loss-of-function SHY2 mutant were sensitive to the effects of BR and could partially suppress the short-root phenotypes associated with deficient BR signaling.Interestingly,BRs could inhibit the accumulation of SHY2 protein in response to cytokinin.Taken together,these findings suggest that a complex equilibrium model exists in which regulatory interactions among BRs,auxin,and cytokinin regulate optimal root growth.Taotao Li Xinke Kang Wei Lei Xiuhong Yao Lijuan Zou Dawei Zhang Honghui Lin 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,10:5
12Interconnected carbon nanocapsules with high N/S co-doping as stable and high-capacity potassium-ion battery anode显示文摘Carbonaceous materials have drawn much attention in potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) due to their low price and superior physicochemical properties. However, the application of carbonaceous materials in PIB anodes is hindered by sluggish kinetics and large volume expansion. Herein, N/S co-doped carbon nanocapsule (NSCN) is constructed for superior K+ storage. The NSCN possesses 3D nanocapsule framework with abundant meso/macropores, which guarantees structural robustness and accelerates ions/electrons transportation. The high-level N/S co-doping in carbon matrix not only generates ample defects and active sites for K+ adsorption, but also expands interlayer distance for facile K+ intercalation/deintercalation. As a result, the NSCN electrode delivers a high reversible capacity (408 mAh g^(−1) at 0.05 A g^(−1)), outstanding rate capability (149 mAh g^(−1) at 5 A g^(−1)) and favorable cycle stability (150m Ah g^(−1) at 2 A g^(−1) after 2000 cycles). Ex situ TEM, Raman and XPS measurements demonstrate the excellent stability and reversibility of NSCN electrode during potassiation/depotassiation process. 13Role of VEGF in the growth and metastasis of a murine bladder carcinoma显示文摘Bladder transitional cell carcinoma is the most common form of carcinoma in the urinary system. Although overexpression of VEGF has been identified in tissue, serum, and urine of patients with bladder cancer, the role of VEGF in transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder has not beenclearly elucidated. Here, we dissected the effect of VEGFduring bladder tumor growth and progression by modifying a BBN (N-butyl-N-(4-hydroxybutyl) nitrosamine) induced mouse bladder transitional cell carcinoma cell lineBTT-T739 by stable transfection of antisense VEGF121 cDNA. The transfection resulted in more than 80% reduction inVEGF production. The growth of the transduced tumor cells in vitro was not affected, however, these cells formed small or no tumors in vivo. Even in the tumors formed, there were mini- mal vascularization, extensive necrosis and longerlatency compared to those formed by parental cells. Thepermeability of tumor vasculature and metastatic tumor growth were also significantly suppressed in antisense VEGFcDNA trans- fected cells. In addition, the transfer ofanti-angiogenic gene in a combination of sFlk-1 and ExTekwith electroporation can suppress the tumor growthefficiently. 14Seasonal Community Structure of Mesozooplankton in the Daya Bay,South China Sea显示文摘Mesozooplankton are key components of coastal ecosystems,linking the microbial food web to the classic food chain.In this study,species composition and abundance of mesozooplankton is studied for the Daya Bay in April(spring) and October(fall),2006.A total of 27 species of mesozooplankton were identified in spring and 58 species in fall.Dominant species were Oithona tenuis,Flaccisagitta enflata,Penilia avirostris and Centropages tenuiremis in spring,shifting to Microsetella norvegica,Oithona tenuis and Parvocalanus crassirostris in fall.Higher mesozooplankton abundance was found at Aotou Cove and Dapeng'ao Cove compared to other stations,indicating the influence of eutrophication on mesozooplankton community in the Daya Bay.The outbreak of Noctiluca scintillans bloom in spring reduced the species diversity and abundance of mesozooplankton.LIU Huaxue LI Kaizhi HUANG Honghui SONG Xingyu YIN Jianqiang HUANG Liangmin 2013Journal of Ocean University of China2013,12,3:4
15Main controlling factors for hydrocarbon reservoir formation and petroleum distribution in Cratonic Area of Tarim Basin显示文摘The Cratonic Area of the Tarim Basin is lo-cated in the central part of the basin, developing primarilywith Cambrian marine source rocks and secondly Middle toUpper Ordovician marine and Carboniferous-Permiantransitional facies source rocks. The source rocks werematured in the changeable period and space, formingmultiple hydrocarbon generating centers during the periods.The Cratonic Area experienced multiple tectonic orogenies,forming several palaeouplifts. The matching conditionbetween effective hydrocarbon generating centers and thepalaeouplifts in various periods is the main control factor forthe formation and distribution of hydrocarbon reservoirs.The palaeouplifts have experienced multiple hydrocar-bon-filling phases, several periods of modifications and evenbreakdown. The palaeouplifts and the adjacent slopesaround the effective hydrocarbon generating center composethe most favorable places for hydrocarbon accumulation.The hydrocarbon phase is related with the evolution of thehydrocarbon generating center. In the Tarim Basin’sCratonic Area, reservoirs were mostly formed during lateHercynian. The originally formed hydrocarbon reservoirswhich are adjacent to source kitchens and in the goodpreservation condition are the most favorable prospectingtargets. Hydrocarbon is richly accumulated under theregional caprock, surrounding the faulted trends, and overand below the unconformity surfaces. Reservoirs in theCarboniferous sandstone, Ordovician karstic weatheredcrust and carbonate rock inside the buried hill compose themain intervals for hydrocarbon accumulation. 17Novel cyclen-based linear polymer as a high-affinity binding material for DNA condensation显示文摘A novel cyclen-based linear polyamine (POGEC) was designed and synthesized from the reaction between 1,3-propanediol diglycidyl ether and 1,7-bis(diethoxyphosphory)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclod-odecane. High-affinity binding between POGEC and DNA was demonstrated by agarose gel electrophoresis and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Moreover,the formed POGEC/DNA complex (termed polyplex) could be disassociated to release the free DNA through addition of the physiological concentration of NaCl solution. Fluorescence spectrum was used to measure the high-affinity binding and DNA condensation capability of POGEC. 18New idea to promote the clinical applications of stem cells or their extracellular vesicles in central nervous system disorders:Combining with intranasal delivery显示文摘The clinical translation of stem cells and their extracellular vesicles(EVs)-based therapy for central nervous system(CNS) diseases is booming. Nevertheless, the insufficient CNS delivery and retention together with the invasiveness of current administration routes prevent stem cells or EVs from fully exerting their clinical therapeutic potential. Intranasal(IN) delivery is a possible strategy to solve problems as IN route could circumvent the brain-blood barrier non-invasively and fit repeated dosage regimens. Herein, we gave an overview of studies and clinical trials involved with IN route and discussed the possibility of employing IN delivery to solve problems in stem cells or EVs-based therapy. We reviewed relevant researches that combining stem cells or EVs-based therapy with IN administration and analyzed benefits brought by IN route. 19Composition and Distribution of Planktonic Ciliates in the Southern South China Sea During Late Summer: Comparison Between Surface and 75 m Deep Layer显示文摘Ciliates are very important components in most marine ecosystem.They are trophic link between the microbial food web and grazing food chain.In this study,ciliates were collected from 11 sites in the southern South China Sea(SCS) during August 25 to September 28,2011.Their composition and distribution at the surface and 75 m deep depth of the ocean were studied.A total of 30 species belonging to 22 genera were identified,and 22 species of 15 genera were Tintinnids.Eutintinnus fraknoii and E.stramentus were the most common species.The other dominants were strombidiids ciliates including Strombidium conicum and S.globosaneum,which were followed by the tide form,Mesodinium pulex.Ciliates abundance ranged from 46 ind L^(-1) to 368 ind L^(-1) in the open sites,46–368 ind L^(-1) at surface and 73–198 ind L^(-1) at 75 m deep layer.In the Yongshu reef,ciliates abundance ranged from 167 ind L^(-1) to 365 ind L^(-1) in the water column,similar to that in Sanya coral reef waters.Ciliates composition showed obvious difference between surface and 75 m deep layer at station S2(P < 0.05),while no similar result was observed at other sites.At 75 m deep layer,salinity was negatively related to mixed layer depth(P < 0.05),but positively to chlorophyll a concentration(P < 0.05),indicating that the change of vertical mixing in water column influenced vertical distribution of ciliates in the southern SCS.LIU Huaxue SHEN Pingping LI Chunhou CHEN Zuozhi QI Zhanhui HUANG Honghui 2016Journal of Ocean University of China2016,15,1:3
20Effect of Huatan Jieyu granules in treatment of Parkinson’s disease patients with sleep disorder identified as symptom pattern of phlegma-heat-stirring wind显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the safety and efficacy of Huatan Jieyu granules in treatment of Parkinson’s disease(PD) patients with sleep disorder identified as symptom pattern of phlegma-heat-stirring wind in terms of the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine.METHODS: In total, 107 Parkinson’s disease patients with sleep disorders identified as symptom pattern of phlegma-heat-stirring wind were selected and randomly divided into the experimental group(55 cases) and the control group(52 cases).Both groups were given basic treatment with prednisone. The experimental group of patients was treated with Huatan Jieyu granules and the control group of patents was treated with only the basic treatment. Treatment lasted for 4 weeks. Sleep polygraph were recorded before the study as well as 3 months and 6 months after treatment.RESULTS: After treated with Huatan Jieyu granules,the total sleep time, and the percentage of non rapid eye movement 2(NREM 2), non rapid eye movement 3(NREM 3) and rapid eye movement(REM)sleep period increased significantly, while the percentage of NREM1 sleep period decreased significantly compared with before treatment(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: The treatment of PD patients with sleep disorder by Huatan Jieyu granules can improve their sleep structure and their sleep quality.Liu Meijun Hu Chongshan Zhang Yaodan Li Qizheng Zhang Qi Fang Yu Sun Honghui Hou Xiaolin Jin Shuoguo Tao Liangjing Yang Dongdong 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,3:3
