1Sunway supercomputer architecture towards exascale computing:analysis and practice显示文摘In recent years,the improvements of system performance and energy efficiency for supercomputers have faced increasing challenges,which create more intensive demands on the architecture design for realizing exascale computing.This paper first analyzes the main requirements of exascale computing on the aspects of the parallel computing application and supercomputing center operation.Afterwards,a mapping scheme of'demands-challenges-architecture'is proposed.Then,the major challenges of exascale supercomputer,such as scalability,power consumption,data movement,programming and availability,are thoroughly analyzed,and the corresponding appropriate solutions are proposed.Moreover,this paper proposes the Sunway computer architecture towards exascale computing in which the many-core processor,network chipset and software system are all domestically-designed.The technology roadmap of Sunway supercomputer will hold the comprehensive design methods for the architecture,including the processor,interconnect network,assembly structure,power supply,cooling system,system software,parallel algorithm and application support,promising great advances for exascale supercomputing.Jiangang GAO Fang ZHENG Fengbin QI Yajun DING Hongliang LI Hongsheng LU Wangquan HE Hongmei WEI Lifeng JIN Xin LIU Daoyong GONG Fei WANG Yan ZHENG Honghui SUN Zhou ZHOU Yong LIU Hongtao YOU 2021Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,4:3
2Effect of Huatan Jieyu granules in treatment of Parkinson’s disease patients with sleep disorder identified as symptom pattern of phlegma-heat-stirring wind显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the safety and efficacy of Huatan Jieyu granules in treatment of Parkinson’s disease(PD) patients with sleep disorder identified as symptom pattern of phlegma-heat-stirring wind in terms of the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine.METHODS: In total, 107 Parkinson’s disease patients with sleep disorders identified as symptom pattern of phlegma-heat-stirring wind were selected and randomly divided into the experimental group(55 cases) and the control group(52 cases).Both groups were given basic treatment with prednisone. The experimental group of patients was treated with Huatan Jieyu granules and the control group of patents was treated with only the basic treatment. Treatment lasted for 4 weeks. Sleep polygraph were recorded before the study as well as 3 months and 6 months after treatment.RESULTS: After treated with Huatan Jieyu granules,the total sleep time, and the percentage of non rapid eye movement 2(NREM 2), non rapid eye movement 3(NREM 3) and rapid eye movement(REM)sleep period increased significantly, while the percentage of NREM1 sleep period decreased significantly compared with before treatment(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: The treatment of PD patients with sleep disorder by Huatan Jieyu granules can improve their sleep structure and their sleep quality.Liu Meijun Hu Chongshan Zhang Yaodan Li Qizheng Zhang Qi Fang Yu Sun Honghui Hou Xiaolin Jin Shuoguo Tao Liangjing Yang Dongdong 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,3:3
3Influence of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor on neural differentiation of adult rat hippocampal progenitors显示文摘Ciliary neurotrophic factor is the only known neurotrophic factor that can promote differentiation of hippocampal neural progenitor cells to glial cells and neurons in adult rats.This process is similar to spontaneous differentiation.Therefore,ciliary neurotrophic factor may be involved in spontaneous differentiation of neural stem cells.To verify this hypothesis,the present study isolated neural progenitor cells from adult male rats and cultured them in vitro.Results showed that when neural progenitor cells were cultured in the absence of mitogen fibroblast growth factor-2 or epidermal growth factor,they underwent spontaneous differentiation into neurons and glial cells.Western blot and immunocytochemical staining showed that exogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor strongly induced adult hippocampal progenitor cells to differentiate into neurons and glial cells.Moreover,passage 4 adult hippocampal progenitor cells expressed high levels of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor,and a neutralizing antibody against ciliary neurotrophic factor prevented the spontaneous neuronal and glial differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells.These results suggest that the spontaneous differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells is mediated partially by endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor.Jun Ding Zhili He Juan Ruan Ying Liu Chengxin Gong Shenggang Sun Honghui Chen 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,4:2

6Burch colposuspension for stress urinary incontinence: a 14-year prospective follow-up显示文摘We aimed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and safety of Burch colposuspension(BC) for stress urinary incontinence(SUI). In this prospective cohort study, 84 patients with SUI undergoing BC were enrolled from February 2004 to January 2010.Data on long-term subjective success and postoperative complications were collected at clinic visits and by telephone follow-up.During a mean follow-up period of 14.2 years, 68%(57/84) patients completed the follow-up. A total of 68.4% of patients(39/57) reported absence of SUI symptoms, 73.6%(42/57) were subjectively satisfied according to the Patient Global Impression of Improvement, and 68.4%(39/57) reported subjective success regarding urinary symptoms via the Urinary Distress Inventory Short Form. However, 28.1%(16/57) suffered at least one long-term postoperative complication and incident. Specifically, 1 in25(4.0%) sexually active patients reported dyspareunia, 3 patients(5.3%) had de novo overactive bladder, and 6 patients(10.5%)reported voiding dysfunction. Four patients(7.0%) reported new onset prolapse symptoms, and 3 patients(5.3%) underwent secondary urinary incontinence surgery. Our study indicated that Burch colposuspension is an effective procedure for SUI, and the cure effect was largely maintained for the 14-year follow-up period, with relatively low complication rates. 7Genome-Wide Exploration of the Grape GLR Gene Family and Differential Responses of VvGLR3.1 and VvGLR3.2 to Low Temperature and Salt Stress显示文摘Grapes,one of the oldest tree species globally,are rich in vitamins.However,environmental conditions such as low temperature and soil salinization significantly affect grape yield and quality.The glutamate receptor(GLR)family,comprising highly conserved ligand-gated ion channels,regulates plant growth and development in response to stress.In this study,11 members of the VvGLR gene family in grapes were identified using whole-genome sequence analysis.Bioinformatic methods were employed to analyze the basic physical and chemical properties,phylogenetic trees,conserved domains,motifs,expression patterns,and evolutionary relationships.Phylogenetic and collinear analyses revealed that the VvGLRs were divided into three subgroups,showing the high conservation of the grape GLR family.These members exhibited 2 glutamate receptor binding regions(GABAb and GluR)and 3-4 transmembrane regions(M1,M2,M3,and M4).Real-time quantitative PCR analysis demonstrated the sensitivity of all VvGLRs to low temperature and salt stress.Subsequent localization studies in Nicotiana tabacum verified that VvGLR3.1 and VvGLR3.2 proteins were located on the cell membrane and cell nucleus.Additionally,yeast transformation experiments confirmed the functionality of VvGLR3.1 and VvGLR3.2 in response to low temperature and salt stress.Thesefindings highlight the significant role of the GLR family,a highly conserved group of ion channels,in enhancing grape stress resistance.This study offers new insights into the grape GLR gene family,providing fundamental knowledge for further functional analysis and breeding of stress-resistant grapevines.Honghui Sun Ruichao Liu Yueting Qi Hongsheng Gao Xueting Wang Ning Jiang Xiaotong Guo Hongxia Zhang Chunyan Yu 2024Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2024,93,3:0
8A PASSIVATION STUDY OF Ti-MODIFIED Fe—BASE ALLOY SYNTHESIZED BY MAGNETRON SPUTTERING TECHNIQUE显示文摘A set of fracture device was designed on the basis of traditional scratching-electrode tech-nology and used to study the passivation process of two magnetron-sputtered stainless steelcoatings (amorphous and crystalline struture). The results of fracture tests in 3.5% NaClaqueous solution show that the amorphous alloy hus a high hare surface reactivity and ahigh passive rate in comparison with the crystalline alloy.The effect of structure on corro-sion resistance is also discussed. 9Enlarged fins of Tibetan catfish provide new evidence of adaptation to high plateau显示文摘The uplift of the Tibetan Plateau significantly altered the geomorphology and climate of the Euroasia by creating large mountains and rivers.Fishes are more likely to be affected relative to other organisms,as they are largely restricted to river systems.Faced with the rapidly flowing water in the Tibetan Plateau,a group of catfish has evolved greatly enlarged pectoral fins with more numbers of fin-rays to form an adhesive apparatus.However,the genetic basis of these adaptations in Tibetan catfishes remains elusive.In this study,we performed comparative genomic analyses based on the chromosome-level genome of Glyptosternum maculatum in family Sisoridae and detected some proteins with conspicuously high evolutionary rates in particular in genes involved in skeleton development,energy metabolism,and hypoxia response.We found that the hoxd12a gene evolved faster and a loss-of-function assay of hoxd12a supports a potential role for this gene in shaping the enlarged fins of these Tibetan catfishes.Other genes with amino acid replacements and signatures of positive selection included proteins involved in low temperature(TRMU)and hypoxia(VHL)responses.Functional assays reveal that the G.maculatum TRMU allele generates more mitochondrial ATP than the ancestral allele found in low-altitude fishes.Functional assays of VHL alleles suggest that the G.maculatum allele has lower transactivation activity than the low-altitude forms.These findings provide a window into the genomic underpinnings of physiological adaptations that permit G.maculatum to survive in the harsh environment of the Tibetan Himalayas that mirror those that are convergently found in other vertebrates such as humans.Liandong Yang Ning Sun Honghui Zeng Ying Wang Wenjun Chen Zufa Ding Yang Liu Jing Wang Minghui Meng Yanjun Shen Jingliang Kang Xiuhui Ma Wenqi Lv Juan Chen Axel Meyer Baocheng Guo Shunping He 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,7:0
10Pseudo-chromosome–length genome assembly for a deep-sea eel Ilyophis brunneus sheds light on the deep-sea adaptation显示文摘High hydrostatic pressure,low temperature,and scarce food supply are the major factors that limit the survival of vertebrates in extreme deep-sea environments.Here,we constructed a high-quality genome of the deep-sea Muddy arrowtooth eel(MAE,Ilyophis brunneus,captured below a depth of 3,500 m)by using Illumina,Pac Bio,and Hi-C sequencing.We compare it against those of shallow-water eel and other outgroups to explore the genetic basis that underlies the adaptive evolution to deep-sea biomes.The MAE genome was estimated to be 1.47 Gb and assembled into 14 pseudo-chromosomes.Phylogenetic analyses indicated that MAE diverged from its closely related shallow-sea species,European eel,~111.9 Mya and experienced a rapid evolution.The genome evolutionary analyses primarily revealed the following:(i)under high hydrostatic pressure,the positively selected gene TUBGCP3 and the expanded family MLC1 may improve the cytoskeleton stability;ACOX1 may enhance the fluidity of cell membrane and maintain transport activity;the expansion of ABCC12 gene family may enhance the integrity of DNA;(ii)positively selected HARS likely maintain the transcription ability at low temperatures;and(iii)energy metabolism under a food-limited environment may be increased by expanded and positively selected genes in AMPK and m TOR signaling pathways.Jie Chen Honghui Zeng Wenqi Lv Ning Sun Cheng Wang Wenjie Xu Mingliang Hu Xiaoni Gan Lisheng He Shunping He Chengchi Fang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,6:0
11Spectrum-Efficient and Fair Resource Scheduling for MBMS in LTE Systems显示文摘An improved spectrum-efficient and fair resource scheduling algorithm for multimedia broadcast multicast service(MBMS)in long term evolution(LTE)systems is proposed in this paper.By jointly considering the channel conditions of all the users,the average packet loss rate,and the fairness of users in the MBMS group,the transmission data rate of the MBMS group is first selected according to the link adaptation and the average packet loss rate of users.Then,the resource blocks are allocated to MBMS groups according to the scheduling priority.Such a resource scheduling algorithm further balances the system throughput and user fairness.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve a good tradeoff between system throughput and user fairness in comparison with traditional scheduling algorithms.Xin Sun Honghui Ye Zhengyu Song 2019Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2019,28,4:0

13Sympatric or micro-allopatric speciation in a glacial lake?Genomic islands support neither显示文摘Apparent cases of sympatric speciation may actually be due to micro-allopatric or micro-parapatric speciation.One way to distinguish between these models is to examine the existence and nature of genomic islands of divergence,wherein divergent DNA segments are interspersed with low-divergence segments.Such islands should be rare or absent under micro-allopatric speciation but common in cases of speciation with gene flow.Sympatric divergence of endemic fishes is known from isolated saline,crater,postglacial,and ancient lakes.Two morphologically distinct cyprinid fishes,Gymnocypris eckloni scoliostomus(GS)and G.eckloni eckloni(GE),in a small glacial lake on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,Lake Sunmcuo,match the biogeographic criteria of sympatric speciation.In this study,we examined genome-wide variation in 46individuals from these two groups.The divergence time between the GS and GE lineages was estimated to be 20-60 Kya.We identified 54 large genomic islands(≥100 kb)of speciation,which accounted for 89.4%of the total length of all genomic islands.These islands harboured divergent genes related to olfactory receptors and olfaction signals that may play important roles in food selection and assortative mating in fishes.Although the genomic islands clearly indicated speciation with gene flow and rejected micro-allopatric speciation,they were too large to support the hypothesis of sympatric speciation.Theoretical and recent empirical studies suggested that continual gene flow in sympatry should give rise to many small genomic islands(as small as a few kilobases in size).Thus,the observed pattern is consistent with the extensive evidence on parapatric speciation,in which adjacent habitats facilitate divergent selection but also permit gene flow during speciation.We suggest that many,if not most,of the reported cases of sympatric speciation are likely to be micro-parapatric speciation.Ning Sun Liandong Yang Fei Tian Honghui Zeng Ziwen He Kai Zhao Cheng Wang Minghui Meng Chenguang Feng Chengchi Fang Wenqi Lv Jing Bo Yongtao Tang Xiaoni Gan Zuogang Peng Yiyu Chen Shunping He 2022National Science Review2022,9,12:0
14Adsorption characteristics of Pb(Ⅱ)ions on sulfidized hemimorphite surface under ammonium sulfate system显示文摘In this work,the effect of ammonium sulfate on the adsorption characteristics of low-concentration Pb(Ⅱ)ions on the sulfidized hemimorphite surface was comprehensively investigated.The results showed that ammonium sulfate could increase the maximum recovery of hemimorphite from 69.42%to 88.24%under a low concentration of Pb(Ⅱ)ions.On the hemimorphite surface pretreated with ammonium sulfate,the adsorption of Pb(Ⅱ)ions was enhanced and the main species of Pb adsorbed was changed from Pb―O/OH to PbS.This was due to the larger amount of ZnS providing more effective adsorption sites for Pb components to generate Pb S.Meanwhile,the intensity of ZnS decreased with the formation of PbS,demonstrating that ZnS was covered by PbS which formed later on the mineral surface.It was beneficial for the adsorption of butyl xanthate on the hemimorphite surface to form more hydrophobic substances.As a result,ammonium sulfate played a crucial role in realizing the efficient recovery of hemimorphite.Xi Zhang Jiushuai Deng Yu Wang Sihao Li Honghui Zhao Chang Liu Zhitao Ma Zhenwu Sun 2023International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2023,33,4:0
