| 1 | Direct laser writing of volumetric gradient index lenses and waveguides显示文摘Direct laser writing(DLW)has been shown to render 3D polymeric optical components,including lenses,beam expanders,and mirrors,with submicrometer precision.However,these printed structures are limited to the refractive index and dispersive properties of the photopolymer.Here,we present the subsurface controllable refractive index via beam exposure(SCRIBE)method,a lithographic approach that enables the tuning of the refractive index over a range of greater than 0.3 by performing DLW inside photoresist-filled nanoporous silicon and silica scaffolds.Adjusting the laser exposure during printing enables 3D submicron control of the polymer infilling and thus the refractive index and chromatic dispersion.Combining SCRIBE’s unprecedented index range and 3D writing accuracy has realized the world’s smallest(15μm diameter)spherical Luneburg lens operating at visible wavelengths.SCRIBE’s ability to tune the chromatic dispersion alongside the refractive index was leveraged to render achromatic doublets in a single printing step,eliminating the need for multiple photoresins and writing sequences.SCRIBE also has the potential to form multicomponent optics by cascading optical elements within a scaffold.As a demonstration,stacked focusing structures that generate photonic nanojets were fabricated inside porous silicon.Finally,an all-pass ring resonator was coupled to a subsurface 3D waveguide.The measured quality factor of 4600 at 1550 nm suggests the possibility of compact photonic systems with optical interconnects that traverse multiple planes.SCRIBE is uniquely suited for constructing such photonic integrated circuits due to its ability to integrate multiple optical components,including lenses and waveguides,without additional printed supports. | Christian R.Ocier Corey A.Richards Daniel A.Bacon-Brown Qing Ding Raman Kumar Tanner J.Garcia Jorik van de Groep Jung-Hwan Song Austin J.Cyphersmith Andrew Rhode Andrea N.Perry Alexander J.Littlefield Jinlong Zhu Dajie Xie Haibo Gao Jonah F.Messinger Mark L.Brongersma Kimani C.Toussaint Jr Lynford L.Goddard Paul V.Braun | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020，9，1： | 6 |
| 2 | Genome resequencing and transcriptome profiling reveal structural diversity and expression patterns of constitutive disease resistance genes in Huanglongbing-tolerant Poncirus trifoliata and its hybrids显示文摘Huanglongbing(HLB)is the most destructive bacterial disease of citrus worldwide.While most citrus varieties are susceptible to HLB,Poncirus trifoliata,a close relative of Citrus,and some of its hybrids with Citrus are tolerant to HLB.No specific HLB tolerance genes have been identified in P.trifoliata but recent studies have shown that constitutive disease resistance(CDR)genes were expressed at much higher levels in HLB-tolerant Poncirus hybrids and the expression of CDR genes was modulated by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CLas),the pathogen of HLB.The current study was undertaken to mine and characterize the CDR gene family in Citrus and Poncirus and to understand its association with HLB tolerance in Poncirus.We identified 17 CDR genes in two citrus genomes,deduced their structures,and investigated their phylogenetic relationships.We revealed that the expansion of the CDR family in Citrus seems to be due to segmental and tandem duplication events.Through genome resequencing and transcriptome sequencing,we identified eight CDR genes in the Poncirus genome(PtCDR1-PtCDR8).The number of SNPs was the highest in PtCDR2 and the lowest in PtCDR7.Most of the deletion and insertion events were observed in the UTR regions of Citrus and Poncirus CDR genes.PtCDR2 and PtCDR8 were in abundance in the leaf transcriptomes of two HLB-tolerant Poncirus genotypes and were also upregulated in HLB-tolerant,Poncirus hybrids as revealed by real-time PCR analysis.These two CDR genes seem to be good candidate genes for future studies of their role in citrus-CLas interactions. | Nidhi Rawat Brajendra Kumar Ute Albrecht Dongliang Du Ming Huang Qibin Yu Yi Zhang Yong-Ping Duan Kim D Bowman Fred G Gmitter Jr Zhanao Deng | 2017 | Horticulture Research2017，4，1： | 5 |
| 3 | Rare earth(Gd,La) co-doped ZnO nanoflowers for direct sunlight driven photocatalytic activity显示文摘In this work Gd/La@ZnO nanoflower photocatalyst was successfully synthesized by a co-precipitation method and applied for rhodamine B(Rh B) and tetracycline(TCN) degradation under direct sunlight irradiation.The doping of rare earth elements extends the optical absorption wavelength of ZnO from UV region(390 nm) to visible-light region(401 nm).In addition,the co-doped ZnO nanoflower exhibits a lower charge recombination efficiency which was confirmed by photoluminescence emission analysis.Moreover,the co-doped ZnO nanoflower exhibits the maximum degradation efficiency of 91% for Rh B and 74% for TCN under sunlight irradiation.The calculated synergistic index of co-doped ZnO is higher than that of the pure ZnO.Reactive radicals’ production was confirmed by terephthalic acid(TA) and nitro-blue tetrazolium(NBT) tests.The holes and hydroxyl(·OH) radicals play the major role in degradation reaction and it was confirmed by scavenger’s test.Moreover,the recycling test confirms the stability of the photocatalyst. | Baskaran Palanivel Romulo R.Macadangdang Jr Md Shahadat Hossain Fahad A.Alharthi Mohanraj Kumar Jih-Hsing Chang Sreedevi Gedi | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023，41，1： | 3 |
