| 1 | Bariatric surgery in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease-from pathophysiology to clinical effects显示文摘Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is increasingly recognized as a significant liver disease,and it covers the disease spectrum from simple steatosis with a risk of development of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH) to fibrosis,subsequent cirrhosis,end-stage liver failure,and liver cancer with a potential need for liver transplantation.NAFLD and NASH are closely related to obesity,metabolic syndrome,and type 2 diabetes(T2 D).The role of gut hormones,especially glucagon-like peptide 1(GLP-1),is important in NAFLD.Bariatric surgery has the potential for inducing great weight loss and may improve the symptoms of metabolic syndrome and T2 D.Recent data demonstrated significant effects of bariatric surgery on GLP-1 and other gut hormones and important lipid metabolic and inflammatory abnormalities in the pathophysiology of NAFLD.Therefore,bariatric surgery may reverse the pathological liver changes in NAFLD and NASH patients.In the present review,we describe NAFLD and NASH pathophysiology and the primary effects of bariatric surgery on metabolic pathways.We performed a systematic review of the beneficial and harmful effects and focused on changes in liver disease severity in NAFLD and NASH patients.The specific focus was liver histopathology as assessed by the invasive liver biopsy.Additionally,we reviewed several non-invasive methods used for the assessment of liver disease severity following bariatric surgery. | Tea L Laursen Christoffer A Hagemann Chunshan Wei Konstantin Kazankov Karen L Thomsen Filip K Knop Henning Grønbæk | 2019 | World Journal of Hepatology2019，11，2： | 11 |
| 2 | Effect of spatial scale and topography on spatial heterogeneity of soil seed banks under grazing disturbance in a sandy grassland of Horqin Sand Land, Northern China显示文摘Soil seed banks play an important role in the distribution and composition of plant communities in semiarid grassland ecosystems.However,information on how spatial scale influences the spatial heterogeneity of soil seed banks in a grassland under grazing disturbance is still lacking.Based on field sampling and greenhouse germination,we measured the species composition and seed density of soil seed banks at different spatial scales (30 m×30 m,30 m×60 m and 30 m×90 m)along a topographical gradient in a sandy grassland in Horqin Sand Land, Northern China.By applying geostatistical methods,we examined how spatial scale and topography affected the spatial distribution of soil seed banks in the study area.Our results showed that the total number of species in soil seed banks,as well as the number of dominant annuals,increased with the increase of spatial scales.Seed density in soil seed banks decreased with the increase of spatial scales due to an increase in the slopes and relative heights of the sampling points.Geostatistical analysis showed that the relative structural variance(C/(C0+C))of seed density and species richness were over 65%for all spatial scales,indicating that these variables had an obvious spatial autocorrelation and the spatial structured variance accounted for the largest proportion of the total sample variance.Spatial autocorrelation of seed density in soil seed banks increased with the increase of measured scales,while that of species richness showed a reverse trend.These results suggest that the total number of species in soil seed banks is spatial scale dependent and lower topography may accommodate more seeds.Spatial distribution of seed density in soil seed banks is also scale dependent due to topographic variation.Grassland management,therefore,needs to consider local grazing disturbance regime,spatial scale and topography. | XiaoAn ZUO ShaoKun WANG XueYong ZHAO WenJin LI Johannes KNOPS Amy KOCHSlEK | 2012 | Journal of Arid Land2012，4，2： | 9 |
| 3 | Meclizine Chloridrate and Methyl-β-Cyclodextrin Associated with Monophosphoester Synthetic Phosphoethanolamine Modulating Proliferative Potential in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Cells显示文摘Synthetic phosphoethanolamine(Pho-s)is a monophosphoester ester with anti-inflammatory and pro-apoptotic properties.Meclizine chloridrate(MC)is a histamine H1 receptor blocker that is also able to inhibit cellular respiration.However,MC does not inhibit cellular respiration in isolated mitochondria such as antimycin and rotenone.Methyl-β-cyclodextrin(MβCD)belongs to theβ-cyclodextrin family,which is capable of removing cholesterol from the plasma membrane.The aim of this study was to evaluate the proliferative effects of meclizine chloridrate and methyl-β-cyclodextrin compounds associated with synthetic phosphoethanolamine in a triple-negative human breast tumor line,MDA-MB-231 Cell viability of the tumor line and normal cells FN1 was evaluated by MTT colorimetric test;the production of free radicals was determined by lipoperoxidation(LPO)test;and the percentage of cell cycle phases and proliferative index was evaluated by flow cytometry.Cell viability demonstrated a significant decrease with the treatments of MβCD,MC and Pho-s associated with MC.The production of free radicals decreases significantly in all treatments.In addition,a significant increase of DNA fragment and decrease in G0/G1 cell cycle phase were observed in cellular percentage with concentrations of 20 and 30 mM of Pho-s in association with MC and MβCD,respectively. | Manuela Garcia Laveli da Silva Luciana Bastianelli Knop Durvanei Augusto Maria | 2019 | Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology2019，7，7： | 2 |
