1Exploratory Precipitation in North-Central China during the Past Four Centuries显示文摘Two robust precipitation reconstructions were conducted by combining tree-ring chronologies, dryness/wetness indices from historical documents, and climate data from the global grid. It was found that the recurrent drought history of a region can help us understand the variability of precipitation. Several dry/wet periods during the past four centuries and potential cycles of precipitation variation were determined. Furthermore, the reconstructions are not only consistent well with each other in North-central China, but also in good agreement with variations of precipitation in northeastern Mongolia, the Longxi area in Gangsu Province and the Dulan area of Qinghai Province, and the snow accumulation of the Guliya glacier. 2Verification and fine-mapping of QTLs conferring days to flowering in soybean using residual heterozygous lines显示文摘The results of QTL mapping based on a primary mapping population should be further verified and refined for its real utilization in marker-assisted selection or map-based cloning.The primary mapping population contains 114 BC1F1 plants of the backcross between Essex (maturity group V,MG V) as the donor parent and ZDD2315 (MG II) as the recurrent parent.In this study,a genetic linkage map with 250 SSR markers spanning a total length of 2963.5 cM on 25 linkage groups (LG) was constructed using software MAPMAKER3.0.Six kinds of genetic statistical models of 4 softwares,i.e.WinQTL Cartographer Version 2.5,IciMapping Version 2.0,MapQTL Version 5.0 and QTLnetwork Version 2.0,were used to map QTLs conferring days to flowering of the BC1F3 lines.Nine QTLs were mapped on 6 different linkage groups (LG).Of those,6 QTLs were detected by at least two different genetic statistical models,while the other three were detected by only one procedure.Among the three QTLs,Flwdt7 was mapped between Sat_213 and Satt643 on LG C2 with only 11.0% contribution rate.For confirmation of Flwdt7,5 RHL populations were developed through selfing eight BC1F5 plants heterozygous at seven markers around the locus.The RHL populations with the same segregating loci were bulked and used to construct a secondary linkage map of the specific segment using software JoinMap 3.0.The genetic distances among the markers on the specific segment became shorter than those of the whole genome map.On the secondary map,Flwdt7 was mapped between Satt277 and Satt489,next to its primary interval Sat_213-Satt643,with distance 1.40 cM to Satt277 and 0.45 cM to Satt489,confidence interval narrowed to 2.7 cM,and contribution rate increased to 36.8%.The results were confirmed with significance analysis among marker genotypes on individual loci and comparison analysis of target marker intervals among near isogenic lines (plants).Thus the strategy by using residual heterozygous lines for QTL fine-mapping on target segments based on primary whole genome scanning with multiple mapping models was demonstrated to be effective.SU ChengFu LU WeiGuo ZHAO TuanJie GAI JunYi 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,6:6

6Electromagnetic Confinement and Shaping for Plate-Form Part显示文摘The relationship between melt shape, electromagnetic pressure and magnetic field is studied for electromagnetic confinement and shaping of plate-form part. The results of experimental observation and theoretical inference can be summarized as follows. As the melt thickness a is large enough, causing the ratio of plate thickness to current theoretic skin depth α/δ larger than 2.2, the electromagnetic pressure acting on melt can be simply expressed as Pm =2μ\B2, and the melt shape would be known only by measuring the distribution of magnetic flux density. As α is small and makes the ratio α/δless than 2.2, the melt shape and electromagnetic pressure for confining and shaping are determined not only by magnetic flux density B but also by melt thickness a, electromagnetic parameter pry and current frequency f. In this paper, an equation used to calculate electromagnetic pressure acting on 'thin plate-form melt' is brought forward. 7Phenylpropanoid metabolism and pigmentation show divergent patterns between brown color and green color cottons as revealed by metabolic and gene expression analyses显示文摘Background:Naturally-colored cotton has become increasingly popular because of their natural properties of coloration,UV protection,flame retardant,antibacterial activity and mildew resistance.But poor fiber quality and limited color choices are two key issues that have restricted the cultivation of naturally-colored cotton.To identify the possible pathways participating in fiber pigmentation in naturally-colored cottons,five colored cotton accessions in three different color types(with green,brown and white fiber)were chosen for a comprehensive analysis of phenylpropanoid metabolism during fiber development.Results:The expression levels of flavonoid biosynthesis pathway genes in brown cotton fibers were significantly higher than those in white and green cotton fibers.Total flavonoids and proanthocyanidin were higher in brown cotton fibers relative to those in white and green cotton fibers,which suggested that the flavonoid biosynthesis pathway might not participate in the pigmentation of green cotton fibers.Further expression analysis indicated that the genes encoding enzymes for the synthesis of caffeic acid derivatives,lignin and lignan were activated in the developing fibers of the green cotton at 10 and 15 days post-anthesis.Conclusions:Our results strengthen the understanding of phenylpropanoid metabolism and pigmentation in green and brown cotton fibers,and may improve the breeding of naturally-colored cottons.LI Zhonghua SU Qian XU Mingqi YOU Jiaqi KHAN Anam Qadir LI Junyi ZHANG Xianlong TU Lili YOU Chunyuan 2020Journal of Cotton Research2020,3,4:1

9Differential SW16.1 allelic effects and genetic backgrounds contributed to increased seed weight after soybean domestication显示文摘Although seed weight has increased following domestication from wild soybean(Glycine soja) to cultivated soybean(Glycine max), the genetic basis underlying this change is unclear. Using mapping populations derived from chromosome segment substitution lines of wild soybean, we identified SW16.1 as the causative gene underlying a major quantitative trait locus controlling seed weight.SW16.1 encodes a nucleus-localized LIM domaincontaining protein. Importantly, the GsSW16.1 allele from wild soybean accession N24852 had a negative effect on seed weight, whereas the GmSW16.1 allele from cultivar NN1138-2 had a positive effect. Gene expression network analysis,reverse-transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and promoter-luciferase reporter transient expression assays suggested that SW16.1 regulates the transcription of MT4, a positive regulator of seed weight. The natural variations in SW16.1 and other known seed weight genes were analyzed in soybean germplasm. The SW16.1 polymorphism was associated with seed weight in 247 soybean accessions, showing much higher frequency of positive-effect alleles in cultivated soybean than in wild soybean. Interestingly,gene allele matrix analysis of the known seed weight genes revealed that G. max has lost 38.5%of the G. soja alleles and that most of the lost alleles had negative effects on seed weight. 12Grain refinement effect of La_2(CO_3)_3 on AZ91 magnesium alloy显示文摘The La2(CO3)3 addition makes the grain of AZ91 alloy be refined obviously. The average primary dendrite size of the alloy decreases from 150 to 50 μm. The microstructure of typical dendrite turns into the equal-axed grain with the addition of 2.5 wt.% La2(CO3)3 refiner. 16Simultaneous regulation on coordination environment and interfacial chemistry via taurine for stabilized Zn metal anode显示文摘Aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs)are the potential options for the next-generation energy storage scenarios due to the cost effectiveness and intrinsic safety.Nevertheless,the industrial application of AZIBs is still impeded by a series of parasitic reactions and dendrites at zinc anodes.In this study,taurine(TAU)is used in electrolyte to simultaneously optimize the coordination condition of the ZnSO4electrolyte and interfacial chemistry at the anode.TAU can preferentially adsorb with the zinc metal and induce an in situ stable and protective interface on the anode,which would avoid the connection between H_(2)O and the zinc metal and promote the even deposition of Zn^(2+).The resulting Zn//Zn batteries achieve more than 3000 hours long cyclic lifespan under 1 mA cm^(-2)and an impressive cumulative capacity at 5 mA cm^(-2).Moreover,Zn//Cu batteries can realize a reversible plating/stripping process over 2,400cycles,with a desirable coulombic efficiency of 99.75%(1 mA cm^(-2)).Additionally,the additive endows Zn//NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10)batteries with more stable cyclic performance and ultrafast rate capability.These capabilities can promote the industrial application of AZIBs.Xin Xu Junyi Yin Ruimin Qin Haoliang Liu Xiang Feng Minghui Wang Mingyan Li Weiyu Sun Weichen Shi Bing Xiao Yaqiong Su Yonghong Cheng 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,11:0
17Red-emitting salicylaldehyde Schiff base with AIE behaviour and large Stokes shift显示文摘Three salicylaldehyde Schiff base(SSB), iso-PBP, PBP and EPB, were facilely synthesized and exhibited aggregation-induced emission. The introduction of C= N-N = C moiety in these SSB dyes largely extend the conjugation system and push their emission to yellow to red spectral region. These SSB dyes were negligibly fluorescent in dilute THF solution. In THF/water mixtures with high water fractions, they displayed strong yellow to red fluorescence(up to 617nm) and large Stokes shifts(up to 152 nm). Single crystal analysis on EBP showed the longer emission of in aggregated state was attributed to the molecular packing effect as compared with that in dilute solution. 19Genome-wide association with transcriptomics reveals a shade-tolerance gene network in soybean显示文摘Shade tolerance is essential for soybeans in inter/relay cropping systems.A genome-wide association study(GWAS)integrated with transcriptome sequencing was performed to identify genes and construct a genetic network governing the trait in a set of recombinant inbred lines derived from two soybean parents with contrasting shade tolerance.An improved GWAS procedure,restricted two-stage multi-locus genome-wide association study based on gene/allele sequence markers(GASM-RTM-GWAS),identified 140 genes and their alleles associated with shade-tolerance index(STI),146 with relative pith cell length(RCL),and nine with both.Annotation of these genes by biological categories allowed the construction of a protein–protein interaction network by 187 genes,of which half were differentially expressed under shading and non-shading conditions as well as at different growth stages.From the identified genes,three ones jointly identified for both traits by both GWAS and transcriptome and two genes with maximum links were chosen as beginners for entrance into the network.Altogether,both STI and RCL gene systems worked for shade-tolerance with genes interacted each other,this confirmed that shadetolerance is regulated by more than single group of interacted genes,involving multiple biological functions as a gene network.Yanzhu Su Xiaoshuai Hao Weiying Zeng Zhenguang Lai Yongpeng Pan Can Wang Pengfei Guo Zhipeng Zhang Jianbo He Guangnan Xing Wubin Wang Jiaoping Zhang Zudong Sun Junyi Gai 2024The Crop Journal2024,12,1:0
20Inhibition of H_(2)O_(2)-induced apoptosis of GC2-spg cells by functionalized selenium nanoparticles with lentinan through ROSmediated ERK/p53 signaling pathways显示文摘AH_(2)O_(2)-induced oxidative stress injury cell model was established to investigate the antioxidant effect of nanoselenium on mouse spermatocyte lines and the regulation mechanism of the expression level and activity of seleniumcontaining antioxidant enzymes induced by oxidative stress.A safe and effective nano-drug system of functionalized selenium-containing nanoparticles(SeNPs)was developed with lentinan(LNT)(SeNPs@LNT).Mice spermatocyte line GC2-spg cells were treated with SeNPs@LNT(1,2,4,8,16,32μM)for 24-72 h to evaluate the cytotoxicity of selenium.GC2-spg cells were randomly divided into the following groups:control,hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)),SeNPs@LNT,and H_(2)O_(2)+SeNPs@LNT groups.H_(2)O_(2)+SeNPs@LNT group was pretreated with SeNPs@LNT 4μM for 12 h,followed by H_(2)O_(2)600μM for 8 h.The cell viability decreased in the H_(2)O_(2) group and increased significantly in the SeNPs@LNT group.Compared with the H_(2)O_(2) group,the SeNPs@LNT+H_(2)O_(2) group exhibited obvious red fluorescence,indicating a higher level of mitochondrial membrane potential.The content of intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)in the SeNPs@LNT group reduced significantly,and the intensity of green fluorescence in the SeNPs@LNT+H_(2)O_(2) group decreased significantly compared with the H_(2)O_(2) group,indicating the inhibitory effect of SeNPs@LNT on the generation of ROS-induced oxidative stress.The activity of GPx and SOD increased significantly in the SeNPs@LNT group.The expression of p53 decreased significantly under the intervention of nano-selenium,and GPx1 expression increased.In the oxidative stress group,the expressions of DNA damage-related proteins and apoptosis-related proteins were higher than those in other groups.Thus,SeNPs@LNT can promote GC2-spg cell proliferation,improve GPx and SOD activities,remove intracellular ROS,and reduce mitochondrial damage and functional abnormalities caused by oxidative stress by regulating the ERK and p53 protein levels.SeNPs@LNT has good biological activity and antioxidant effect,which can be used to protect the male reproductive system from oxidative stress.MIAOMIAO LI DANYANG CHEN JUNYI KE RUILIN ZHENG JINGYAO SU ZILIN ZHENG JIEYI LUO HANRAN MAI FAN JIANG YANXIA QU XIAOQIONG GU BING ZHU YINGHUA LI LIANDONG ZUO 2023BIOCELL2023,47,2:0
