1Work-family conflict and job burn-out among Chinese doctors:the mediating role of coping styles显示文摘Background Burn-out among doctors threatens their own health, and that of their patients. To identify risk factors of the doctor burn-out is vital to improving their health and increasing the quality of healthcare services.This study aims to explore the relationship between workfamily conflict(WFC) and burn-out among Chinese doctors and the mediating role of coping styles in this relationship.Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted in China, with a questionnaire packet which consisted of the Chinese Maslach Burnout Inventory(CMBI), WFC Scale and the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ). A total of 2530 doctors participated in the survey. Correlation analysis was performed to explore the relationship between CMBI, WFC and SCSQ scores. A linear regression model was set to determine the mediating role of coping styles on the relationship between WFC and burn-out.Results Doctors who had higher scores on work interfering with family conflict, reported more emotional exhaustion(r=0.514, P<0.001) and had a sense of accomplishment(r=-0.149, P<0.001). Simultaneously,family interfering with work(FIW) was positively associated with all dimensions of burn-out(r=0.213,0.504,0.088,respectively, P<0.001). Coping styles had partial, complete and even mediating effects on the relationship between WFC and burn-out among Chinese doctors.Conclusions WFC was correlated with burn-out, and coping style was a mediator in this relationship among Chinese doctors. 4Influence of the quickness and duration of De Qi on the analgesic effect of acupuncture in primary dysmenorrhea patients with a cold and dampness stagnation pattern显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influence of the quickness and duration of De Qi(or Qi arrival) on the analgesic effect of acupuncture in primary dysmenorrhea patients with a cold and dampness stagnation pattern.METHODS: Sixty-eight patients were randomly assigned to the De Qi group(deep needling with thick needles and manipulation, n = 17) or the non-De Qi group(shallow needling with thin needles and no manipulation, n = 51). Both groups underwent needling at Sanyinjiao(SP 6) for 30 min.The visual analogue scale was used to measure the degree of menstrual pain, and the Acupuncture De Qi Clinical Assessment Scale was used to assess De Qi. Only data from patients who experienced actual De Qi were included in the analysis.RESULTS: Thirty-nine patients experienced actual De Qi. Patients who experienced actual De Qi in the De Qi group(n = 14) felt De Qi more rapidly(P =0.028) and for a longer duration(P = 0.04) than patients who experienced actual De Qi in the non-De Qi group(n = 25). Both groups showed a reduction in the visual analogue scale score for pain after treatment. The analgesic effect did not significantly differ between the two groups. The occurrence time of De Qi showed a significant negative correlation with pain reduction at 20 and 30 min after needle removal(P < 0.05). There was no correlation between the duration of De Qi and the therapeutic effect.CONCLUSION: In primary dysmenorrhea patients with a cold and dampness stagnation pattern,quicker onset of De Qi when needling Sanyinjiao(SP 6) achieves a better analgesic outcome. However, a longer duration of De Qi does not affect the degree of analgesia. 5Effects of magnesium on the performance of sows and their piglets显示文摘The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of supplemental magnesium(Mg) on the performance of gilts and parity 3 sows and their piglets.Fifty-six gilts(Trial 1) and 56 sows(Trial 2) were assigned to one of 4treatments according to their mating weight,respectively.The treatments comprised corn-soybean meal based gestation and lactation diets(0.21%magnesium) supplemented with 0,0.015,0.03,or 0.045%Mg from mating until weaning.The results showed that magnesium supplementation significantly(P < 0.05) reduced the weaning to estrus interval in both gilts and sows.There were significant effects(P < 0.05) of supplemental magnesium on the total number of piglets born,born alive and weaned in sows.In late gestation and lactation,the digestibility of crude fiber(quadratic effects,P< 0.05),and crude protein(P< 0.05),were significantly influenced by magnesium in gilts and sows,respectively.There were differences among the 4 groups in terms of the apparent digestibility of dry matter and crude fiber in sows(P< 0.05) during both early and late gestation.The apparent digestibility of gross energy was increased for sows in late gestation(P< 0.05),and lactation(quadratic effects,P< 0.05).At farrowing and weaning,serum prolactin levels and alkaline phosphate activities linearly increased in sows as the Mg supplementation increased(P < 0.05).Serum Mg of sows at farrowing and serum urea nitrogen of sows at weaning was significantly influenced by Mg supplementation(P< 0.05).The Mg concentration in sow colostrum and the serum of their piglets were increased by supplemental magnesium(P < 0.05).In addition,growth hormone levels were linearly elevated(P< 0.05) in the serum of piglets suckling sows.Our data demonstrated that supplemental magnesium has the potential to improve the reproduction performance of sows,and the suitable supplemental dose ranged from 0.015%to 0.03%.Jianjun Zang Jingshu Chen Ji Tian Aina Wang Hong Liu Shengdi Hu Xiangrong Che Yongxi Ma Junjun Wang Chunlin Wang Guanghua Du Xi Ma 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,1:3
6Analytic estimation and numerical modeling of actively cooled thermal protection systems with nickel alloys显示文摘Actively cooled thermal protection system has great influence on the engine of a hypersonic vehicle, and it is significant to obtain the thermal and stress distribution in the system. So an analytic estimation and numerical modeling are performed in this paper to investigate the behavior of an actively cooled thermal protection system. The analytic estimation is based on the electric analogy method and finite element analysis(FEA) is applied to the numerical simulation. Temperature and stress distributions are obtained for the actively cooled channel walls with three kinds of nickel alloys with or with no thermal barrier coating(TBC). The temperature of the channel wall with coating has no obvious difference from the one with no coating, but the stress with coating on the channel wall is much smaller than that with no coating. Inconel X-750 has the best characteristics among the three Ni-based materials due to its higher thermal conductivity, lower elasticity module and greater allowable stress. 8Devonian integrative stratigraphy and timescale of China显示文摘The Global Boundary Stratotype Sections and Points(GSSPs) for the bases of all seven international Devonian stages have been formally defined and ratified by IUGS till 1996, and nowadays, the main tasks for Devonian stratigraphers include further subdivision of these standard stages, strictly constrained absolute ages for the boundaries, and precise neritic-pelagic and marine-terrestrial correlations using multidisciplinary stratigraphy methods. Establishment of high-resolution Devonian integrative stratigraphy framework and timescale of China would play an important role in improving regional and international correlation, facilitating the recognition of important stratigraphic levels in different paleogeographic settings, and understanding the evolution pattern of biota, paleoclimate and paleoenvironment during this critical interval. 12Preparation and mechanical properties of two nickel base alloy coatings achieved by electrospark deposition显示文摘Ni398 and Ni818 base alloy coatings were deposited on 1045 steel by electrospark deposition technique (ESD). Forming properties, thickness, microhardness and wear resistance of the coatings were investigated. The chemical composition and crosssection morphology were analyzed through energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) and metalloscope. The results show that the technological parameter window of Ni398 is larger than that of Ni818 electrode. However, other properties of the Ni818 coating, such as thickness and microhardness, were better than those of the Ni398 coating. Especially the wornout volume of Ni818 coating is only 1/6 of that for 1045 steel and 1/3 for Ni398 coating. Chemical composition analysis indicated that the addition of Mo promoted grain refinement of nickel alloy. 16Integrative analysis of indirect calorimetry and metabolomics profiling reveals alterations in energy metabolism between fed and fasted pigs显示文摘Background: Fasting is a simple metabolic strategy that is used to estimate the maintenance energy requirement where the energy supply for basic physiological functions is provided by the mobilization of body reserves.However, the underlying metabolic components of maintenance energy expenditure are not clear. This study investigated the differences in heat production(HP), respiratory quotient(RQ) and plasma metabolites in pigs in the fed and fasted state, using the techniques of indirect calorimetry and metabolomics.Methods: Nine barrows(45.2 ± 1.7 kg BW) were fed corn-soybean based meal diets and were kept in metabolism crates for a period of 14 d. After 7 d adaptation, pigs were transferred to respiratory chambers to determine HP and RQ based on indirect calorimetry. Pigs were fed the diet at 2,400 k J ME/(kg BW0.6·d) during d 8 to 12. The last 2 d were divided into 24 h fasting and 48 h fasting treatment, respectively. Plasma samples of each pig were collected from the anterior vena cava during the last 3 d(1 d while pigs were fed and 2 d during which they were fasted).The metabolites of plasma were determined by high-resolution mass spectrometry using a metabolomics approach.Results: Indirect calorimetry analysis revealed that HP and RQ were no significant difference between 24 h fasting and 48 h fasting, which were lower than those of fed state(P < 0.01). The nitrogen concentration of urine tended to decrease with fasting(P = 0.054). Metabolomics analysis between the fed and fasted state revealed differences in15 compounds, most of which were not significantly different between 24 h fasting and 48 h fasting. Identified compounds were enriched in metabolic pathways related to linoleic acid metabolism, amino acid metabolism,sphingolipid metabolism, and pantothenate and Co A biosynthesis.Conclusion: These results suggest that the decreases in HP and RQ of growing pigs under fasting conditions were associated with the alterations of linoleic acid metabolism and amino acid metabolism. 20Bend family proteins mark chromatin boundaries and synergistically promote early germ cell differentiation显示文摘Understanding the regulatory networks for germ cell fate specification is necessary to developing strategies for improving the efficiency of germ cell production in vitro.In this study,we developed a coupled screening strategy that took advantage of an arrayed bi-molecular fluorescence complementation(BiFC)platform for protein-protein interaction screens and epiblast-like cell(EpiLC)-induction assays using reporter mouse embryonic stem cells(mESCs).Investigation of candidate interaction partners of core human pluripotent factors OCT4,NANOG,KLF4 and SOX2 in EpiLC differentiation assays identified novel primordial germ cell(PGC)-inducing factors including BEN-domain(BEND/Bend)family members.Through RNA-seq,ChIP-seq,and ATAC-seq analyses,we showed that Bend5 worked together with Bend4 and helped mark chromatin boundaries to promote EpiLC induction in vitro.Our findings suggest that BEND/Bend proteins represent a new family of transcriptional modulators and chromatin boundary factors that participate in gene expression regulation during early germline development.Guang Shi Yaofu Bai Xiya Zhang Junfeng Su Junjie Pang Quanyuan He Pengguihang Zeng Junjun Ding Yuanyan Xiong Jingran Zhang Jingwen Wang Dan Liu Wenbin Ma Junjiu Huang Zhou Songyang 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,10:1
