Calcium dobesilate for diabetic retinopathy: a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Many randomized clinical controlled trials have confirmed the efficacy and safety of calcium dobesilate in treating diabetic retinopathy(DR).This systematic review critically evaluated the evidence that links calcium dobesilate to DR.In this fixed-effects meta-analysis,a total of 221 pertinent English-language articles published between January 1975 and October 2013 were identified.Systematic searches of PUBMED,Springer Link and the Cochrane Clinical Trials Database were conducted using the keywords 'diabetic retinopathy' and 'calcium dobesilate'.The extracted information included the study design, inclusion and exclusion criteria, setting, sample size, participant mean age, treatment regime, mean change in best corrected visual acuity, laboratory parameters, capillary fragility, intraocular pressure and fundus manifestations based on the findings of fluorescent angiography. The summary statistics indicated that calcium dobesilate was significantly associated with improving retinal microaneurysms(RR: 0.62,95%CI: 0.42?0.90,P=0.01),retinalhemorrhages(RR: 0.39,95% CI: 0.17?0.88,P=0.02); exudates(RR: 0.31,95% CI: 0.12?0.81,P=0.02),reduction of whole blood viscosity(MD: ?0.57 CP,95% CI: ?0.75 to ?0.38,P<0.001),plasma viscosity(MD: ?0.36 CP,95% CI: ?0.63 to ?0.09,P=0.01) and blood cholesterol(MD: ?0.48 mg m L?1,95% CI: ?0.64?0.33,P<0.00001).Intraocular pressure was also significantly reduced(MD: ?5.59 mm Hg,95% CI: ?6.69 to ?4.50,P<0.00001).The results indicate that calcium dobesilate effectively treats DR at the systematic and local ocular levels.ZHANG XinYuan LIU Wei WU ShanShan JIN JingLong LI WeiHong Wang NingLi 2015Science China(Life Sciences)2015,58,1:54
Rock burst mechanism analysis in an advanced segment of gob-side entry under different dip angles of the seam and prevention technology显示文摘In order to investigate the frequent occurrences of rock burst in gob-side entry during the mining process of the mining zone No. 7, the mechanical model of main roof of fully-mechanized caving mining before breaking was established by the Winkler foundation beam theory, and the stress evolution law of surrounding rock with different dip angles of the seam during the mining process was analyzed by using FLAC3 D. The results show that: with the dip angle changing from 45° to 0°, the solid-coal side of gobside entry begins to form an L-shaped stress concentration zone at a dip angle of 30°, and the stress concentration degree goes to higher and higher levels. However, the stress concentration degree of the coalpillar side goes to lower and lower levels; the influence range and peak stress of the abutment at the lateral strata of adjacent gob increase with dip angle decreasing and reach a maximum value at a dip angle of 0°, but the tailgate is not affected; the abutment pressure superposition of two adjacent gobs leads to stress concentration further enhancing in both sides of gob-side entry. With the influence of strong mining disturbance, rock burst is easily induced by dynamic and static combined load in the advanced segment of gob-side entry. To achieve stability control similar to that in the roadway, the key control strategy is to reinforce surrounding rock and unload both sides. Accordingly, the large-diameter drilling and high-pressure water injection combined unloading and reinforced support cooperative control technology was proposed and applied in field test. The results of Electromagnetic Emission(EME) and field observation showed that unloading and surrounding rock control effect was obvious.Yang Zengqiang Liu Chang Tang Shichuan Dou Linming Cao Jinglong 2018International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2018,28,6:24

Comprehensive eco-environmental effects of the shelter-forest ecological engineering along the Tarim Desert Highway显示文摘In this work, we report a comprehensive study about the eco-environmental effects of the shelter forest along the Tarim Desert Highway, including the effects on aeolian environment, soil, micro-climate, biodiversity, and groundwater. The results show that: (1) The movement of windblown sand near the ground surface was affected by the shelter forest. The wind speed and sediment transport rate in the shelter forest decreased by 64%―80% and 87.45%―99.02%, respectively. In addition, there were also significant changes in the sand flux structure, the sand grain size, and the deflation and deposition on the ground surface. (2) Compared to the natural mobile sand, the soil bulk density in the forest area decreased while the total salt content, the total porosity, and the water content increased. In addition, the soil fertility was significantly improved in the forest area, and showed the 'first rapid, then slow' variation pattern. (3) The shelter forest showed positive effects on the micro-climate. Within the 6 m height above the ground, the air temperature in the shelter forest at different heights was lower than that in the mobile sand, while the air humidity was higher, while, the soil temperature was also lower in the shelter forest than mobile sand. (4) The number of soil microbial species increased significantly with the improvement of habitat in the shelterbelt. However, the population of different species was not distributed evenly across the surveyed area. (5) Currently, no significant effects of groundwater-pumping and forest-irrigation water have been found on the groundwater level and its salinity. The variation amplitude of both groundwater level and salinity was at the level of centimeters and 1g/L, respectively. No obvious variation trend has been observed.LEI JiaQiang LI ShengYu JIN ZhengZhong FAN JingLong WANG HaiFeng FAN DongDong ZHOU HongWei GU Feng QIU YongZhi XU Bo 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S2:14
Responses of the Toll-like receptor and melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5 signaling pathways to avian infectious bronchitis virus infection in chicks显示文摘Avian infectious bronchitis virus(IBV) is a Gammacoronavirus in the family Coronaviridae and causes highly contagious respiratory disease in chickens. Innate immunity plays significant roles in host defense against IBV. Here, we explored the interaction between IBV and the host innate immune system. Severe histopathological lesions were observed in the tracheal mucosa at 3–5days post inoculation(dpi) and in the kidney at 8 dpi, with heavy viral loads at 1–11 and 1–28 dpi, respectively. The expression of m RNAs encoding Toll-like receptor(TLR) 3 and TLR7 were upregulated at 3–8 dpi, and that of TIR-domain-containing adapter-inducing interferon(IFN) β(TRIF) was upregulated at 21 dpi in the trachea and kidney. Myeloid differentiation primary response protein 88(My D88) was upregulated in the trachea during early infection. Tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor(TRAF) 3 and TRAF6 were upregulated expression in both tissues. Moreover, melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5(MDA5), laboratory of genetics and physiology 2(LGP2), stimulator of IFN genes(STING), and mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein(MAVS), as well as TANK binding kinase 1(TBK1), inhibitor of kappa B kinase(IKK) ?, IKKα, IKKβ,IFN regulatory factor(IRF) 7, nuclear factor of kappa B(NF-κB), IFN-α, IFN-β, various interleukins(ILs), and macrophage inflammatory protein-1β(MIP-1β) were significantly upregulated in the trachea and downregulated in the kidney. These results suggested that the TLR and MDA5 signaling pathways and innate immune cytokine were induced after IBV infection. Additionally, consistent responses to IBV infection were observed during early infection, with differential and complicated responses in the kidney.Yining He Zhiwen Xie Jinglong Dai Yanjie Cao Jinlian Hou Yansheng Zheng Tianchao Wei Meilan Mo Ping Wei 2016Virologica Sinica2016,31,1:14
Antibacterial Behavior of a Cu-bearing Type 200 Stainless Steel显示文摘A preliminary study was made on the antibacterial behavior of a newly designed Cu-bearing type 200 stainless steel by different methods including Vickers hardness measurement, electrochemical test and antibacterial test. The results showed that Cu-rich precipitations caused by the saturated Cu in the steel matrix was not only a crucial factor for its excellent antibacterial capability, but also for its equivalent corrosion resistance as good as the commercial type 200 stainless steel.Li Nan Jinglong Cheng Ke Yang 2012Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,11:12

The salt accumulation at the shifting aeolian sandy soil surface with high salinity groundwater drip irrigation in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert显示文摘The EC analysis and water serial sampling was performed in the Tarim Desert Highway shelterbelt to explore the water and salt dynamics of the shallow aeolian sandy soil ( 0-30cm) under high salinity groundwater drip irrigation. It was found that in one irrigation cycle, the EC of the shallow shifting aeolian sandy soil ( 0-30cm) increased while the water content decreased. The EC of the surface aeolian sandy soil at the wetting front was far greater than that of the wetting area or the outside of the wetting area. During the irrigation cycle, the EC of the wetting front and the wetting area changed at a significant magnitude, whereas the EC of the outside of the wetting area remained largely steady. The horizontal influence distance of drip irrigation on the salt accumulation at the soil surface was about 100 cm, and the vertical influence depth was 5 cm. The three most abundant ions in the accumulated salt at the aeolian sandy soil surface were Na+, Cl- and SO42-. The salt accumulation at the soil surface was influenced by air temperature, wind speed, mineralization of irrigation water, sand burial thickness, soil texture, and litter content.ZHANG JianGuo XU XinWen LEI JiaQiang SUN ShuGuo FAN JingLong LI ShengYu GU Feng QIU YongZhi XU Bo 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S2:10
Match Point Solution for Robust Flutter Analysis in Constant-Mach Prediction显示文摘This paper presents a method for robust flutter computation which uses flight altitude as the perturbation variable in order to obtain a match point solution. The air density and sound speed of standard atmosphere model are approximated as the polynomial function of altitude, such that the flight altitude becomes the single perturbation variable that describes the aeroelastic system. The uncertainties of generalized stiffness and damping are considered and the uncertain aeroelastic system can be formulated as linear fractional transforma- tion (LFT) representation which is suitable for μ analysis framework. Finally, the match point solutions of robust flutter margins can be computed with structured singular value (SSV) theory. The robust flutter analysis method provided in this paper is suitable for con- stant-Mach flight flutter test and provides valuable reference for flight envelope expansion.Yun Haiwei Han Jinglong 2008Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2008,21,2:9
Bolt support mechanism based on elastic theory显示文摘Mechanical model of anchorage surrounding rock considering tray effect was established based on elastic theory,in order to study the mechanism of bolt supporting.Elastic solutions of normal force at point in the interior of a semi-infnite solid were obtained by means of classical displacement function method in elasticity. The factors which influence stress of bolted surrounding rock, such as the length of bolt and tray effect, were analyzed. The absolute value of stress along bolt axes decreased rapidly with an increase in radical distance and the maximum appeared near ends of bolt. With increasing radical distance, the value of radical stress changed from positive to negative roughly and then increased to zero, with maximum at the middle of bolt. The evolution of hoop stress as radical distance increasing was similar with stress along bolt axes. With an increase in depth, the radical effect ranges of all normal stress components were reduced. These suggest that the effect from tray on stress along bolt axes of bolted surrounding rock could be neglected, except near surface of surrounding rock.Guo Xiaoqian Mao Xianbiao Ma Chao Huang Jinglong 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,4:9
Damage by wind-blown sand and its control measures along the Taklimakan Desert Highway in China显示文摘Desertification is one of the most serious environmental problems in the world, especially in the arid desert regions.Combating desertification, therefore,is an urgent task on a regional or even global scale. The Taklimakan Desert in China is the second largest mobile desert in the world and has been called the''Dead Sea''due to few organisms can exist in such a harsh environment. The Taklimakan Desert Highway, the longest desert highway(a total length of 446 km)across the mobile desert in the world, was built in the 1990s within the Taklimakan Desert. It has an important strategic significance regarding oil and gas resources exploration and plays a vital role in the socio-economic development of southern Xinjiang,China.However,wind-blow sand seriously damages the smoothness of the desert highway and,in this case, mechanical sand control system(including sand barrier fences and straw checkerboards)was used early in the life of the desert highway to protect the road.Unfortunately, more than 70%of the sand barrier fences and straw checkerboards have lost their functions, and the desert highway has often been buried and frequently blocked since 1999.To solve this problem,a long artificial shelterbelt with the length of 437 km was built along the desert highway since 2000.However,some potential problems still exist for the sustainable development of the desert highway, such as water shortage, strong sandstorms, extreme environmental characteristics and large maintenance costs. The study aims to provide an overview of the damages caused by wind-blown sand and the effects of sand control measures along the Taklimakan Desert Highway.Ultimately,we provide some suggestions for the biological sand control system to ensure the sustainable development of the Taklimakan Desert Highway, such as screening drought-resistant species to reduce the irrigation requirement and ensure the sound development of groundwater, screening halophytes to restore vegetation in the case of soil salinization, and planting cash crops, such as Cistanche,Wolfberry,Apocynum and other cash crops to decrease the high cost of maintenance on highways and shelterbelts.LI Congjuan WANG Yongdong LEI Jiaqiang XU Xinwen WANG Shijie FAN Jinglong LI Shengyu 2021Journal of Arid Land2021,13,1:9

With the development of the res-piratory diagnostic and treatment technologies, air flow dynamics of mechanical ventilation is usually referenced in the evaluation of pulmonary status and assessment of respiratory therapy. In order to improve the ventilation efficiency and provide a reference for pulmonary diagnostics, in this paper, a new mathematical model of mechanical ventilation system was set up. Furthermore, a prototype mechanical ventilation system for an artificial simulating lung was designed and experimentally studied. Lastly, in order to improve the ventilation efficiency and provide a reference for pulmonary diagnostics, the air flow dynamics of the mechanical ventilation system was illustrated through simulation and experimental studies. The study can be helpful to the optimization of the mechanical ventilation system.NIU JingLong SHI Yan CAO ZhiXin CAI MaoLin CHEN Wei ZHU Jian XU WeiQing 2017Science China(Technological Sciences)2017,60,2:8
Construction of adaptive redundant multiwavelet packet and its application to compound faults detection of rotating machinery显示文摘It is significant to detect the fault type and assess the fault level as early as possible for avoiding catastrophic accidents.Due to diversity and complexity, the compound faults detection of rotating machinery under non-stationary operation turns to be a challenging task.Multiwavelet with two or more base functions may match two or more features of compound faults, which may supply a possible solution to compound faults detection. However, the fixed basis functions of multiwavelet transform, which are not related with the vibration signal, may reduce the accuracy of compound faults detection. Moreover, the decomposition results of multiwavelet transform not being own time-invariant is harmful to extract the features of periodical impulses.Furthermore, multiwavelet transform only focuses on the multi-resolution analysis in the low frequency band, and may leave out the useful features of compound faults. To overcome these shortcomings,a novel method called adaptive redundant multiwavelet packet(ARMP) is proposed based on the two-scale similarity transforms.Besides, the relative energy ratio at the characteristic frequency of the concerned component is computed to select the sensitive frequency bands of multiwavelet packet coefficients. The proposed method was used to analyze the compound faults of rolling element bearing. The results showed that the proposed method could enhance the ability of compound faults detection of rotating machinery.CHEN JingLong ZI YanYang HE ZhengJia WANG XiaoDong 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,8:7
The temporal and spatial fluctuation of the groundwater level along the Tarim Desert Highway显示文摘In this work, a groundwater monitor section along the Tarim Desert Highway was set up, and the groundwater level data were recorded. The temporal and spatial fluctuations of the groundwater level were analyzed based on the groundwater level measurements, hydrologic data, the groundwater/surface water interconversion theory and the groundwater dynamics. The spatial distribution of groundwater is mostly affected by sand dune height and landform variation. The four primary temporal influence factors of groundwater level can be ordered in decreasing significance as: shelterbelt pumping > vertical leakage > river flow change > runoff replenishment. The runoff replenishment has the biggest influence range, and the shelterbelt pumping has the smallest influence range. The groundwater level fluctuates annually in a natural pattern.FAN JingLong XU XinWen LEI JaQiang ZHAO JingFeng LI ShengYu WANG HaiFeng ZHANG JianGuo ZHOU HongWei 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S2:6

Decomposition of acid dissolved titanium slag from Australia by sodium hydroxide显示文摘The kinetics of the decomposition of acid dissolved titanium slag with a sodium hydroxide system under atmospheric pressure was studied. The effect of reaction temperature, particle size and NaOH-to-slag mass ratio on titanium extraction was investigated. The results show that temperature and particle size have significant influence on titanium extraction. The experimental data of titanium extraction show that the shrinking core model with chemical reaction controlled process is most applicable for the decomposition of slag, with an apparent activation energy of 62.4 kJ·mol-1. Approximately 85 wt.%-90 wt.% of the titanium can be extracted from the slag under the optimal conditions. In addition, the purity of titanium dioxide obtained in the product is up to 98.5 wt.%.FENG Yang WANG Jinggang WANG Lina QI Tao XUE Tianyan CHU Jinglong 2009Rare Metals2009,28,6:5
Removal of iron from ilmenite by KOH leaching-oxalate leaching method显示文摘Oxalic acid was used for the removal of iron from the intermediates of ilmenite leached by KOH liquor. Various parameters, such as pH, temperature, initial oxalate concentration, and illumination were investigated. Meanwhile, it was found that orthorhombic crystal Ti2O2(OH)2(C2O4)·H2O formed as the leaching proceeded. Scanning electronic microscope (SEM) images implied that the formation of Ti2O2(OH)2(C2O4)·H2O with good crystallinity proceeded through three stages. Calcining Ti2O2(OH)2(C2O4)·H2O, anatase (350°C) or rutile (550°C) type TiO2 was obtained, respectively. Element analysis found that the calcined product contained 94.9% TiO2 and 2.5% iron oxide, but only about 1600 ppm dissolvable iron oxide was left, which indicates that oxalic acid was comparatively effective on iron oxide removal from the intermediates. Finally, an improved route was proposed for the upgrading of ilmenite into rutile.WANG Yuanbo QI Tao CHU Jinglong ZHAO Wei 2010Rare Metals2010,29,1:5
Topographical changes of ground surface affected by the shelterbelt along the Tarim Desert Highway显示文摘To study the effects of sand protection project on modern aeolian landform, the types, distribution, and intensity of topographical changes of the ground surface affected by the shelterbelt along the Tarim Desert Highway were determined by measuring the deflation and deposition of sand surface in the Tazhong area located in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert. The results showed that (1) the newly-formed landform in sand protection systems is dominated by aeolian deposition including the small-scale Nabkha Dunes, the medium-scale sheet-like sand deposition and the large-scale ridge-like sand deposition. To some degree, aeolian deflation landform can also be formed in the open space in the shelterbelt. Furthermore, it is difficult for aeolian deflation landform to develop in a large scale in the interdunes. However, aeolian deflation landform can be developed in a large-scale on the windward slope of secondary dunes in longitudinal complex sand ridges; (2) on the windward side of the sand protection systems, both the morphology and strike of dwarf mobile dunes in the interdunes are changed by the sand-obstructing forest belts and the ridge-like sand deposition around it. The wind- ward slope of the ridge-like deposition around the sand-obstructing forest belt forms a stable ground surface. After being damaged by forward-moving dunes in a short period, the ground surface is re- covered gradually; (3) on the leeward side of the sand protection systems, aeolian deflations are formed widely. Particularly, the deflation depression is formed in the interdunes. In addition, the dunes in the region with highly topographic relief are cut flat by aeolian deflations; thereafter its relief of to- pography is reduced. The above analysis indicates that shelterbelts have obvious effects on the windward wind-sand flux in terms of dissipating energy and intercepting sand. With the recovery of wind velocity on the leeward side of the sand protection systems, the wind-sand flux gradually tends to be unsaturated; therefore the sand surface deflation is formed.LI ShengYu LEI JiaQiang XU XinWen WANG HaiFeng FAN JingLong GU Feng QIU YongZhi XU Bo GONG Qing ZHENG Wei 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S2:4
Nonlinear distortion and spatial dispersion of intense terahertz generation in lithium niobate via the tilted pulse front technique显示文摘We systematically investigate the influences of the input infrared spectrum, chirp, and polarization on the emitted intense terahertz spectrum and spatial dispersion in lithium niobate via optical rectification. The terahertz yield and emission spectrum depend on both the chirp and spectrum of the input pump laser pulses. We also observe slight non-uniform spatial dispersion using a knife-edge measurement, which agrees well with the original predictions. The possible mechanism is the nonlinear distortion effect caused by high-energy laser pumping. Our study is very important and useful for developing intense terahertz systems with applications in extreme terahertz sciences and nonlinear phenomena.BAOLONG ZHANG SHANGQING LI SHUSU CHAI XIAOJUN Wu JINGLONG MA LIMING CHEN YUTONG LI 2018Photonics Research2018,6,10:4
Effect of the shelterbelt along the Tarim Desert Highway on air temperature and humidity显示文摘The temperature and humidity of the shelterbelt micro-climate on both horizontal and vertical scales in the extremely drought area were measured with multiple HOBO temperature and humidity automatic observation equipments in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert. The results show that the shelterbelt ecosystem of the desert highway plays typical micro-climate adjustment rolesin stabilizing surface air temperature and increasing air humidity, and so on. Solar radiation significantly affects both temperature and humidity of surface layers, and it has a positive correlation with the temperature but a negative correlation with the air humidity. When it is cloudy, the weather has a great impact on keeping temperature and humidity in the shelterbelt. The shelterbelt also significantly influences the environment, and the micro-climate in the belt has an obvious characteristic of cooling and humidification: compared with the original sand area, the temperature in the shelterbelt is always lower and the humidity is always higher. Moreover, the temperature range at the shelterbelt edge is greater than that in the sand area, but the humidity is always higher. Our conclusion is that the vertical-effect range of temperature of the shelterbelts is 4 -10 m, and the humidity range is 6 to 8 m; the horizontal-effect range of temperature is 16 m and the humidity range is about 24 m.WANG HaiFeng LEI JiaQiang LI ShengYu FAN JingLong LI YingGang SUN ShuGuo CHANG Qing 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,S2:4
