Responses of activities, abundances and community structures of soil denitrifiers to short-term mercury stress显示文摘The responses of activities, abundances and community structures of soil denitrifiers to mercury (Hg) stress were investigated through a short-term incubation experiment. Four soil treatments with different concentrations of Hg (CK, Hg25, Hg50, and Hg100, denoted as 0, 25, 50, and 100 mg Hg/kg dry soil, respectively) were incubated for 28 days. Soil denitrification enzyme activity (DEA) was measured at day 3, 7 and 28. The abundances and community structures of two denitrification concerning genes, nirS (cd1-nitrite reductase gene) and nosZ (nitrous oxide reductase gene), were analyzed using real-time PCR and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). Results showed that soil DEA was significantly stimulated in the treatments of Hg25 and Hg50 compared with others at day 7. Meanwhile, no difference in the abundances of soil nirS and nosZ was found between Hg spiked treatments and CK, except the lower abundance of nirS (P < 0.05) in the Hg added treatments compared with that in the CK at day 28. The community structures of denitrifiers based on nirS gene presented obvious change at day 7 along with the Hg additions, however, no variation was found in all treatments based on the nosZ gene. The results indicated that Hg (Hg25 and Hg50) had a strongly short-term stimulation on soil DEA, and nirS gene is more sensitive than nosZ gene to Hg stress.Zhifeng Zhou Yuanming Zheng Jupei Shen Limei Zhang Yurong Liu Jizheng He 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,3:8
Micromorphology of landslide soil Case study on the Jibazi landslide in Yunyang in the Three Gorges Region, China显示文摘Landslide is one of natural catastrophes affecting national economy and people’s livelihood There are many reports on the forming mechanism and control of landslide, but the studies on micromorphology of landslide soil are few. There are many potential landslides in the Three Gorges Region in China. In this paper, the micromorphologic features of the Jibazi landslide soil in Yunyang in the Three Gorges Region of the Yangtze River were studied using routine methods, that is, soil micro- morphology, X-ray diffractometer and scanning electron microscope. The main conclusions are as follow: (1) The basic micromorphologic characteristics of the landslide soil are that the fine soil particles are commonly cohesive matrix, finer and lower content o skeleton grains, the microstructures are mainly types of phenocrystal gelatinization, densely chap and fissure structure. As a result, these micromorphologic features affect the discharging of soil water, favor the movement of landslide body and provide an interna basis of materials for the formation of landslide. (2) The concept on the forming material of landslide was proposed, and types of optical beamed clay aggregates Fe-Mn isolates and glassy material were found in landslide-belt soil, which were remarkably differen from the natural soil formation, and had some scientific significance in analyzing the formingmechanism of landslide and distinguishing the landslide-belt soil. (3) Some special micromor- phologic and sub-micromorphologic characteristics, such as fingerprint microstructure, clay beamed bedding microstructure, oppressive microstructure, moulage microstructure and extending hole microstructure, could bring useful micromorphologic evidences for the observation and forecasting of landslide. The results mentioned above will bring helpful micromorphologic evidences for distingui- shing slide soil, analyzing the formation mechanism of landslide, and monitoring and forecasting the occurrence of landslide.HE Yurong CUI Peng LIAO Chaolin ZHANG Baohua ZHAO Yu 2006Journal of Mountain Science2006,3,2:7
Thermal protection mechanism of heat pipe in leading edge under hypersonic conditions显示文摘Sharp local structure, like the leading edge of hypersonic aircraft, confronts a severe aerodynamic heating environment at a Mach number greater than 5. To eliminate the danger of a material failure, a semi-active thermal protection system is proposed by integrating a metallic heat pipe into the structure of the leading edge. An analytical heat-balance model is established from traditional aerodynamic theories, and then thermal and mechanical characteristics of the structure are studied at Mach number 6–8 for three refractory alloys, Inconel 625, C-103, and T-111. The feasibility of this simple analytical method as an initial design tool for hypersonic aircraft is assessed through numerical simulations using a finite element method. The results indicate that both the isothermal and the maximum temperatures fall but the von Mises stress increases with a longer design length of the leading edge. These two temperatures and the stress rise remarkably at a higher Mach number. Under all investigated hypersonic conditions, with a 3 mm leading edge radius and a0.15 m design length, the maximum stress exceeds the yield strength of Inconel 625 at Mach numbers greater than 6, which means a material failure. Moreover, both C-103 and T-111 meet all requirements at Mach number 6–8.Peng Wengen He Yurong Wang Xinzhi Zhu Jiaqi Han Jiecai 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,1:7
Micromorphological Features of Diagnostic Horizons in Several soils in Southwest China: Implication for Soil Taxonomic Classification显示文摘The comparative studies on micromorphological features in diagnostic horizons of Stagnic Anthrosols, Ustic Ferrosols and Ustic Vertosols in southwestern China were conducted to underpin the rationale for Chinese Soil Taxonomy. The following findings were explored: (1) Stagnic Anthrosols had the specific micromorphological features, e.g., the humic formation in anthrostagnic epipedon, the platy structures in plow subhorizon, the secondary formation of ferromanganese and the weakly optical-orientation clay domains in hydragric horizon, etc.: (2) The groundmasses of ferric horizon in Ustic Ferrosols appeared in hue of 2.5YR or redder, and had pellicular grain structure; (3) Ustic Vertosols had a crust horizon (Acr), and crack structure dominated in Acr and angular blocky structure in disturbed horizon; (4) Because of the distinct differences in micromorphological features among these three soils, the specific micromorphological features might be employed as diagnostic horizons to differentiate soils while the quantifiable micromorphological features might potentially be selected as diagnostic indices for Chinese soil taxonomic classification.XU Xiangming HE Yurong HUANG Chengmin XIONG Donghong 2010Journal of Mountain Science2010,7,1:5
Discrete particle modeling of granular temperature distribution in a bubbling fluidized bed显示文摘The discrete hard sphere particle model (DPM) is applied in this work to study numerically the distributions of particle and bubble granular temperatures in a bubbling fluidized bed. The dimensions of the bed and other parameters are set to correspond to those of Müller et al. (2008). Various drag models and operational parameters are investigated to find their influence on particle and bubble granular temperatures. Various inlet superficial gas velocities are used in this work to obtain their effect on flow characteristics. It is found that the superficial gas velocity has the most important effect on granular temperatures including bubble granular temperature, particle translational granular temperature and particle rotational granular temperature. The drag force model affects more seriously the large scale variables such as the bubble granular temperature. Restitution coefficient influences all granular temperatures to some degree. Simulation results are compared with experimental results by Müller et al. (2008) showing reasonable agreement.Yurong He Tianyu Wang Niels Deen Martin van Sint Annaland Hans Kuipers Dongsheng Wen 2012Particuology2012,10,4:4
An experimental study on metal precipitation driven by fluid mixing: implications for genesis of carbonate-hosted lead–zinc ore deposits显示文摘A type of carbonate-hosted lead–zinc(Pb–Zn)ore deposits, known as Mississippi Valley Type(MVT)deposits, constitutes an important category of lead–zinc ore deposits. Previous studies proposed a fluid-mixing model to account for metal precipitation mechanism of the MVT ore deposits, in which fluids with metal-chloride complexes happen to mix with fluids with reduced sulfur, producing metal sulfide deposition. In this hypothesis, however, the detailed chemical kinetic process of mixing reactions, and especially the controlling factors on the metal precipitation are not yet clearly stated. In this paper, a series of mixing experiments under ambient temperature and pressure conditions were conducted to simulate the fluid mixing process, by titrating the metal-chloride solutions, doping withor without dolomite, and using NaHS solution. Experimental results, combined with the thermodynamic calculations, suggest that H_2S, rather than HS^-or S^(2-),dominated the reactions of Pb and/or Zn precipitation during the fluid mixing process, in which metal precipitation was influenced by the stability of metal complexes and the pH. Given the constant concentrations of metal and total S in fluids, the pH was a primary factor controlling the Pb and/or Zn metal precipitation. This is because neutralizing or neutralized processes for the ore-forming fluids can cause instabilities of Pb and/or Zn chloride complexes and re-distribution of sulfur species, and thus can facilitate the hydrolysis of Pb and Zn ions and precipitation of sulfides. Therefore, a weakly acidic to neutral fluid environment is most favorable for the precipitation of Pb and Zn sulfides associated with the carbonate-hosted Pb–Zn deposits.Yan Zhang Runsheng Han Xing Ding Junjie He Yurong Wang 2019Acta Geochimica2019,38,2:4
Study on Forced Convective Heat Transfer of Non-Newtonian Nanofluids显示文摘This paper is concerned with the forced convective heat transfer of dilute liquid suspensions of nanoparticles(nanofluids) flowing through a straight pipe under laminar conditions. Stable nanofluids are formulated by usingthe high shear mixing and ultrasonication methods. They are then characterised for their size, surface charge, thermal and theological properties and tested for their convective heat transfer behaviour. Mathematical modellingis performed to simulate the convective heat transfer of nanofluids using a single phase flow model and consideringnanofluids as both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid. Both experiments and mathematical modellingshow that nanofluids can substantially enhance the convective heat transfer. Analyses of the results suggest thatthe non-Newtonian character of nanofluids influences the overall enhancement, especially for nanofluids with anobvious non-Newtonian character.Yurong He Yubin Men Xing Liu Huilin Lu Haisheng Chen Yulong Ding 2009Journal of Thermal Science2009,18,1:4
Solar heating assisted rapid cleanup of viscous crude oil spills using reduced graphene oxide-coated sponges显示文摘The rapid cleanup of heavy crude oil spills is challenging due to the poor mobility of highly viscous oil.Traditional absorption strategies involve heating oils to a relatively high temperature to reduce their viscosity, but this method is expensive.Herein,a solar-heated reduced graphene oxide(rGO)-wrapped melamine sponge(MS)was proposed to rapidly absorb oil.The prepared rGO-MS exhibited good hydrophobicity and oleophilicity and could be used for the rapid cleanup of oil spills from water. In addition, the excellent photothermal conversion effect of rGO enabled the rGO-MS composite to achieve a solar energy absorption efficiency of 91%.Due to the localized solar energy collection and wetting properties of rGO-MS,viscous oil near the contact region was effectively heated, enabling rapid heavy oil recovery under solar light illumination. This proposed solar heating-assisted viscous oil sorbent has great promise for use in heavy oil spill cleanups in the future.WANG XinZhi LIU Dan CHENG Gong HUANG YuDong HE YuRong 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,8:4
Effect of impregnation methods on sorbents made from lignite for desulfurization at middle temperature显示文摘With lignite after vacuum drying as the raw material,a series of Zn-based sorbents were prepared by static impregnation,ultrasonic-assisted impregnation,bubbling-assisted impregnation and high-pressure impregnation. The physical properties and the desulfurization performances of Zn-based sorbents were studied systematically by XRD,BET,AAS characterization techniques and the fixed-bed desulfurization evaluation apparatus. The sorbents obtained by high-pressure impregnation method have a larger specific surface area, pore volume and pore diameter comparing with other methods, which is conducive to the sulfidation reaction of hydrogen sulfide gas in the sorbent. The effects of pressure during the high-pressure impregnation and concentration of Zn(NO3)2 precursor solution on the sorbents properties and desulfurization behavior were investigated. The higher the impregnation pressure and the concentration of impregnation solution are,the greater the amount of the active components are uploaded. However, overhigh impregnation pressure can cause collapse and blocking of the carrier pore. The optimal operating condition of high-pressure impregnation method for preparing the sorbents was the impregnation pressure of 20 atm and the solution concentration of 41%.Under that condition, the sorbent had the best desulfurization ability with a sulfur capacity of 13.94 gS/100 gsorbent and a breakthrough time of 54 h.Its desulfurization precision and efficiency of removing H2S before sorbent breakthrough from the middle temperature gases of 400℃ can reach<5 ppm and>99%,respectively.Sorbents could be regenerated under the condition of 1 vol%O2,20 vol% H2O,0.5 vol% NH3,and N2balance gas.The regenerated sorbent could be used for repeated absorption of H2S with a slight decrease in desulfurization effect.Yurong Dong Xiurong Ren Meijun Wang Qiang He Liping Chang Weiren Bao 2013Journal of Energy Chemistry2013,22,5:3
Analytic estimation and numerical modeling of actively cooled thermal protection systems with nickel alloys显示文摘Actively cooled thermal protection system has great influence on the engine of a hypersonic vehicle, and it is significant to obtain the thermal and stress distribution in the system. So an analytic estimation and numerical modeling are performed in this paper to investigate the behavior of an actively cooled thermal protection system. The analytic estimation is based on the electric analogy method and finite element analysis(FEA) is applied to the numerical simulation. Temperature and stress distributions are obtained for the actively cooled channel walls with three kinds of nickel alloys with or with no thermal barrier coating(TBC). The temperature of the channel wall with coating has no obvious difference from the one with no coating, but the stress with coating on the channel wall is much smaller than that with no coating. Inconel X-750 has the best characteristics among the three Ni-based materials due to its higher thermal conductivity, lower elasticity module and greater allowable stress. Analytic estimation and numerical modeling results are compared with each other and a reasonable agreement is obtained.Wang Xinzhi He Yurong Zheng Yan Ma Junjun H. 12Hypoxia response element-directed expression of bFGF in dental pulp stem cells improve the hypoxic environment by targeting pericytes in SCI rats显示文摘Cell-based transplantation strategies possess great potential for spinal cord injury(SCI)repair.Basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)has been reported to have multiple neuro-promoting effects on developing and adult nervous system of mammals and considered a promising therapy for nerve injury following SCI.Human dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)are abundant stem cells with low immune rejection, which can be considered for cell replacement therapy. The purpose of this study was to investigate the roles of DPSCs which express bFGF under the regulation of five hypoxia-responsive elements(5HRE)using an adeno-associated virus(AAV-5HRE-bFGF-DPSCs)in SCI repairing model. In this study,DPSCs were revealed to differentiate into CD13^(+)pericytes and up-regulate N-cadherin expression to promote the re-attachment of CD13^(+)pericytes to vascular endothelial cells. The re-attachment of CD13^(+)pericytes to vascular endothelial cells subsequently increased the flow rate of blood in microvessels via the contraction of protuberance. As a result, increased numbers of red blood cells carried more oxygen to the damaged area and the local hypoxia microenvironment in SCI was improved. Thus, this study represents a step forward towards the potential use of AAV-5HRE-bFGF-DPSCs in SCI treatment in clinic.Sipin Zhu Yibo Ying Yan He Xingxing Zhong Jiahui Ye Zhiyang Huang Min Chen Qiuji Wu Yifan Zhang Ziyue Xiang Yurong Tu Weiyang Ying Jian Xiao Xiaokun Li Qingsong Ye Zhouguang Wang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,8:2
Rotation characteristic and granular temperature analysis in a bubbling fluidized bed of binary particles显示文摘In this work,a discrete particle model(DPM) was applied to investigate the dynamic characteristics in a gas-solid bubbling fluidized bed of binary solid particles. The solid phase was simulated by the hardsphere discrete particle model. The large eddy simulation(LES) method was used to simulate the gas phase. To improve the accuracy of the simulation,an improved sub-grid scale(SGS) model in the LES method was also applied. The mutative Smagorinsky constant case was compared with the previously published experimental data. The simulation by the mutative Smagorinsky constant model exhibited better agreement with the experimental data than that by the common invariant Smagorinsky constant model.Various restitution coefficients and different compositions of binary solids were investigated to determine their influences on the rotation characteristics and granular temperatures of the particles. The particle translational and rotational characteristic distributions were related to certain simulation parameters.Tianyu Wang Yurong He Shengnan Yan Dong Rip Kim 2015Particuology2015,13,1:2
A novel ball-in-ball hollow oxygen-incorporating cobalt sulfide spheres as high-efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Transition-metal chalcogenides with hollow nanostructure, especially cobalt sulfides, are considered as the most pro mising non-precious metal catalysts for oxygen evolution reactio n.However,it is difficult to synthesize oxygen-containing cobalt sulphides with hollow structure due to the different physical/chemical properties between metal sulfides and metal cobalts.Herein,we report a novel oxygencontaining amorphous cobalt sulfide ball-in-ball hollow sphere s(Co-S-O BBHS) synthesized by an anion exchange method.Taking advantage of the ball-in-ball hollow structure, the amorphous Co-S-O BBHS shows supe rior oxygen evolution reaction(OER) electrocatalytic performance with a low overpotentiat of285 mV at 10 mA/cm2,small Tafel slope of 49.67 mV/dec,high Faraday efficiency of 96%,and satisfied durability.Experiments and DFT calculations demonstrate that the introduction of oxygen and sulfur modulates the electronic structure of Co-S-O BBHS,thus enhancing the adsorption of *0(adsorbed 0 species on catalyst surface) intermediate, which greatly boosts the catalytic activity towards OER.This work provides a new strategy for controllable synthe sis of complex hollow structures of transition-metal chalcogenides for OER.Yurong Li Qifei Guo Yimin Jiang Wei Shen Ming Li Rongxing He 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2:2
Structurally tunable characteristics of ionic liquids for optimizing lithium plating/stripping via electrolyte engineering显示文摘Electrolyte chemistry offers the opportunity to regulate the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI) and Li^(+)solvation, which is considered to be crucial to the growth of lithium crystals for safe lithium metal batteries(LMBs).Structurally tunable characteristics of ionic liquids(ILs) from anion type, cationic substituent chain length and cationic substituents, will contribute this field. Here,we explore the influence mechanism of imidazole-based ILs as electrolyte additives on Li+solvation and the formation of SEI.ILs can participate into the formation of efficient SEI,together with cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI).Moreover,ILs can also regulate the sheath structure of Li^(+)solvation,to fasten the kinetics of Li.Furthermore, the imidazole-based cations with long alkyl chain can form an electrostatic shield around newly formed Li nucleus, and suppress further Li plating at this site.Under the optimized condition, the 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide([OMIm]TFSI) additive shows the best ability to enhance the electrochemical performance, endowing the Li||Li symmetric cell with a stable life(over800 h) at 0.5 mA cm^(-2) and the Li||LiNi_(0.6)Mn_(0.2)Co_(0.2)O_(2)(NMC622) full cell with a high capacity of 141.7 mAh g^(-1) after 200 cycles at 0.5 C.Shihan Qi Jiandong Liu Jian He Huaping Wang Mingguang Wu Daxiong Wu Junda Huang Fang Li Xin Li Yurong Ren Jianmin Ma 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,12:2
Micromorphological Features of Paleo-Stagnic-Anthrosols at Archaeological Site of Sanxingdui,China显示文摘The archaeological site of the Sanxingdui may date back as far as 5,000 years ago.The typical profiles of Palaeo-Stagnic-Anthrosols near the ancient site were selected, which aimed to identify diagnostic horizons employing methodology of soil taxonomic classification and to reveal the micromorphological properties of the paleosols.Under long-term anthropogenic mellowing, the discernible differentiation between anthrostagnic epipedon and its subhorizons as well as hydragric horizon and its subhorizons occurred in Paleo-Stagnic-Anthrosols at the archaeological site of the Sanxingdui. The micromorphological properties diversified among each specific diagnostic subhorizon,e.g.,the developed microstructure in cultivated subhorizon within anthrostagnic epipedon, closely arranged particles and considerable micropores beneficial to both of water conservation and filtration in plow subhorizon within anthrostagnic epipedon, and automorphic optical-orientation clays and calcareous corrosion in hydragric horizons. The findings above of micromorphological features related with diagnostic horizons are significant for soil taxonomic classification.HE Yurong HUANG Chengmin XU Xiangming WANG Yanqiang HE Xiubin 2008Journal of Mountain Science2008,5,4:2
Dynamic Study on Water Stability of Soil Structure and Soil Characteristics of Several Types of Soils in Southwest China显示文摘Three suborder soils in southwest China were adopted, namely Ustic Vertisol,Stagnic Anthrosol and Ustic Ferrosol, so as to carry out the basic physical and chemical analysis respectively, to design a dynamic measuring method for water stability of soil structure and conduct the comparative study on the quality of the soil structure. 20Fractal Characteristic of Soil in Typical Debris Flow-Triggering Region:A Case Study in Jiangjia Ravine of Dongchuan, Yunnan显示文摘The structural features of soil in debris flow-triggering region play an important role in the formation and evolution of debris flow. In this paper, a case study on the fractal of soil particle-size distribution (PSDFs) and pore-solid (PSFs) in Jiangjia Ravine was conducted. The results revealed that the soil in Jiangjia Ravine had significant fractal features and its PSDF and PSF had the same variation trend despite different type of soils in debris flow-triggering region: residual soil (RS)>debris flow deposit (DFD)>clinosol (CL), their fractal dimension of PSDFs are respectively between 2.62 and 2.96, 2.52 and 2.68, 2.37 and 2.52; and the fractal dimension of PSFs are respectively between 2.75 and 2.95 , 2.57 and 2.72, 2.59 and 2.64. The fractal dimension of soil reflected its complexity as a self-organizing system and was closely related to the evolution of soil in debris flow-triggering region.LIAO Chaolin HE Yurong 2006Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2006,11,4:1
