2Construction of a cucumber genetic linkage map with SRAP markers and location of the genes for lateral branch traits显示文摘Using SRAP (sequence-related amplified polymorphism) markers a genetic linkage map of cucumber was constructed with a population consisting of 138 F2 individuals derived from a cross of the two cucumber lines, S06 and S52. In the survey of parental polymorphisms with 182 primer combinations, 64 polymorphism-revealing primer pairs were screened out, which generated totally 108 polymorphic bands with an average of 1.7 bands per primer pair and at most 6 bands from one primer pair. The constructed molecular linkage map included 92 loci, distributed in seven linkage groups and spanning 1164.2 cM in length with an average genetic distance of 12.6 cM between two neighboring loci. Based on this linkage map, the quantitative trait loci (QTL) for the lateral branch number (lbn) and the lateral branch average length (lbl) in cucumber were identified by QTLMapper1.6. A major QTL lbn1 located between ME11SA4B and ME5EM5 in LG2 could explain 10.63% of the total variation with its positively effecting allele from S06. 3Cloning and molecular characterization of a novel lectin gene from Pinellia ternata显示文摘The full-length cDNA of Pinellia ternata agglutinin (PTA) was cloned from inflorescences using RACE-PCR. Through comparative analysis of PTA gene (pta) and its deduced amino acid sequence with those of other Araceae species, pta was found to encode a precursor lectin with signal peptide and to have extensive homology with those of other Araceae species. PTA was a heterotetrameric mannose-binding lectin with three mannose-binding boxes like lectins from other Araceae and Amaryllidaceae species. Southern blot analysis of the genomic DNA revealed that pta belonged to a low-copy gene family. Northern blot analysis demonstrated that pta constitutively expressed in various plant tissues including root, leaf, stem and inflorescence. The pta cDNA sequence encoding for mature PTA protein was cloned into pET-32a plasmid and the resulting plasmid, pET-32a-PTA containing Trx-PTA fusion protein, was investigated for the expression in E. coli BL21. SDS-PAGE gel analysis showed that the Trx-PTA fusion protein was successfully expressed in E. coli BL21 when induced by IPTG. Artificial diet assay revealed that PTA fusion protein had significant levels of resistance against peach potato aphids when incorporated into artificial diet at 0.1% (w/v). 5Asymmetric encryption and signature method with DNA technology显示文摘This paper proposes DNA-PKC, an asymmetric encryption and signature cryptosystem by combining the technologies of genetic engineering and cryptology. It is an exploratory research of biological cryptology. Similar to conventional public-key cryptology, DNA-PKC uses two pairs of keys for encryption and signature, respectively. Using the public encryption key, everyone can send encrypted message to a specified user, only the owner of the private decryption key can decrypt the ciphertext and recover the message; in the signature scheme, the owner of the private signing key can generate a signature that can be verified by other users with the public verification key, but no else can forge the signature. DNA-PKC differs from the conventional cryptology in that the keys and the ciphertexts are all biological molecules. 6Construction of a BAC library from cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) and identification of linkage group specific clones显示文摘A bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library consisting of 19,200 clones with an average insert size of 105 kb has been constructed from a cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) inbred line S94,derived from a cultivar in North China. The entire library was equivalent to approximately 5 haploid cucumber genomes. To facilitate chromosome engineering and anchor the cucumber genetic linkage map to its chromosomes,15 sequence-characterized ampli?ed regions (SCAR) and seven simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers from each link-age group of cucumber were used to screen an ordered array of pooled BAC DNA with polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Fifteen mark-ers gave at least two positive clones. As a result,22 BAC clones representing 7 linkage groups of cucumber were identified,which further validated the genome coverage and utility of the library. 7Comparison of the short-term and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic hysterectomies and of abdominal hysterectomies: a case study of 4,895 patients in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China显示文摘Background: To evaluate the short-term and long-term outcomes after laparoscopic hysterectomy(LH) compared with abdominal hysterectomy(AH) in case of benign gynecological disease. Methods: A multi-center cohort retrospective comparative study of population among 4,895 hysterectomies(3,539 LH vs.1,356 AH) between 2007 and 2013 was involved. Operative time(OT), estimated blood loss(EBL), intra-operative and post-operative complications, passing flatus; days with indwelling catheter, questionnaires covering pelvic floor functions and sexual functions were assessed.Results: The EBL(174.1±157.4 vs. 263.1±183.2 cc, LH and AH groups, respectively), passing flatus(38.7±14.1 vs. 48.1±13.2 hours), days with indwelling catheter(1.5±0.6 vs. 2.2±0.8 days), use of analgesics(6.5% vs. 73.1%), intra-operative complication rate(2.4% vs. 4.1%), post-operative complication rate(2.3% vs. 5.7%), post-operative constipation(12.1% vs. 24.6%), mild and serious stress urinary incontinence(SUI) post-operative(P<0.001; P=0.014), and proportion of Female Sexual Functioning Index(FSFI) total score <26.55 post-operative(P<0.001) of the LH group were significantly less than those of AH group. There wereno significant differences in OT(106.5±34.5 vs. 106.2±40.3 min) between the two groups.Conclusions: LH is a safe and efficient operation for improving patients' long-term quality of life(Qo L), and LH is a cost-effectiveness procedure for treating benign gynecological disease. 9Chimeric flagellin expressed by Salmonella typhimurium induces an ESAT-6-specific Th1-type immune response and CTL effects following intranasal immunization显示文摘The flagellin component FliC of Salmonella typhimurium is capable of activating the innate immune system via specific interactions with TLR5 and can also act as a carrier of foreign antigen to elicit antigen-specific immune responses.Thus,we constructed an attenuated Salmonella strain SL5928(fliC/esat)expressing chimeric flagellin that contained the ESAT-6 antigen coding sequence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis inserted into the highly variable region of the Salmonella flagellin coding gene fliCi.The chimeric flagellin functioned normally,as demonstrated using a flagella swarming assay and electron microscopy.To analyze the effects of chimeric flagellin,the cell-mediated immune response and cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CTL)effects specific for ESAT-6 antigen were tested after intranasal immunization of mice with flagellated Salmonella SL5928(fliC/esat).The results showed that SL5928(fliC/esat)intranasal immunization can strongly elicit an ESAT-6-specific T helper(Th)1-type immune response in mucosal lymphoid tissues,such as nasopharynx-associated lymph nodes,lung and Peyer’s patches,and a Th1/Th2 response was elicited in spleen and mesenteric lymph nodes.Furthermore,intranasal immunization of SL5928(fliC/esat)produced efficient CTL effects,as demonstrated using a 5-and 6-carboxyfluorescein diacetate succinimidyl ester(CFSE)assay.Thus,our study revealed that Salmonella flagellin acts as a carrier for foreign antigen and triggers strong Th1 and CTL responses during intranasal immunization.Chimeric flagellin is potentially an effective strategy for the development of novel vaccines against tuberculosis in humans and animals.Hui Zhang Liu Liu Ke Wen Jinlin Huang Shizhong Geng Junsong Shen Zhiming Pan Xinan Jiao 2011Cellular & Molecular Immunology2011,8,6:6
10Quantitative trait locus analysis of lateral branch-related traits in cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)using recombinant inbred lines显示文摘A group of 224 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) was derived from a narrow cross between 2 cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) lines, namely, S94 (Northern China type with weak lateral branch growth potential and early lateral branch sprouting time) and S06 (Northern European type with strong lateral branch growth potential and late lateral branch sprouting time). These lines were then used for investigating lateral branch-related traits. A total of 36 quantitative trait loci (QTLs) were detected for the following 4 lateral branch-related traits: lateral branch average length (LBAL), lateral branch total length (LBTL), lateral branch number (LBN), and first lateral branch node (FLBN). Further, each QTL explained 3.1% (lbtl2.1, spring) to 32.3% (lbn2.3, spring) of the observed phenotypic variance. Eleven QTLs (lbal1.1, lbtl1.1, lbn1.2, flbn1.2, etc.) for different traits were found to be clustered on the e23m18d-ME23EM6c section (7.4 cM) of linkage group (LG) 1; further, 15 QTLs (lbal2.1, lbtl2.1, lbn2.1, flbn2.1, etc.) were found to be clustered on the S94A1-ME4SA4a section (13.9 cM) of LG2. Twenty-one QTLs explained more than 10% of the phenotypic variance. Moreover, lbtl1.3 (autumn, 26.2%, logarithm of odds (LOD) = 17.4; spring, 26.9%, LOD = 17.9) had stable position and contribution in both seasons. 11Development of miniature HTSC wide-band filter with open-loop resonators显示文摘The strong electric and magnetic coupled novel HTSC (high temperature superconductor) open-loop microstrip resonators are studied in this report and the traditional structure of open-loop resonators is improved. A miniature wide-band HTSC bandpass filter is developed by the novel structure, which is fabricated on YBCO/LaAlO3/YBCO substrate with dimensions of 14.8×9.6 mm2. 12Plasma-grating-induced breakdown spectroscopy显示文摘.Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)is a useful tool for determination of elements in solids,liquids,and gases.For nanosecond LIBS(ns-LIBS),the plasma shielding effect limits its reproducibility,repeatability,and signal-to-noise ratios.Although femtosecond laser filament induced breakdown spectroscopy(FIBS)has no plasma shielding effects,the power density clamping inside the filaments limits the measurement sensitivity.We propose and demonstrate plasma-grating-induced breakdown spectroscopy(GIBS).The technique relies on a plasma excitation source-a plasma grating generated by the interference of two noncollinear femtosecond filaments.We demonstrate that GIBS can overcome the limitations of standard techniques such as ns-LIBS and FIBS.Signal intensity enhancement with GIBS is observed to be greater than 3 times that of FIBS.The matrix effect is also significantly reduced with GIBS,by virtue of the high power and electron density of the plasma grating,demonstrating great potential for analyzing samples with complex matrix.Mengyun Hu Junsong Peng Sheng Niu Heping Zeng 2020Advanced Photonics2020,2,6:5
13Design of high temperature superconducting contiguous-band diplexer显示文摘A high temperature superconducting (HTS) contiguous-band diplexer was designed and fabricated. The HTS contiguous-band diplexer was made using 2-inch-diameter LaA1O3 wafers coated with epi-taxial thin film YBO on both sides, and was made up of two 4-pole singly-terminated low-pass prototype bandpass channel filters connected in parallel. Its operation frequency was centered at 3.25GHz and 3.75GHz with 500-MHz-wide channels. The HTS diplexer operated at 77 K shows excellent performance. The insertion loss in the pass-band is less than 0.8 dB and the rejection between per channel is greater than 30dB. In comparison with the conventional diplexer, the HTS diplexer offers more than 2dB improvement in insertion loss performance and 3/4 volume reduction. 14Joint Trajectory and Power Optimization for Securing UAV Communications Against Active Eavesdropping显示文摘Due to both of jamming and eavesdropping,active eavesdroppers can induce more serious security threats to unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-enabled communications.This paper considers a secure UAV communication system including both the downlink(DL)and uplink(UL)transmissions,where the confidential information is transmitted between a UAV and a ground node in the presence of an active eavesdropper.We aim to maximize the average secrecy rates of the DL and UL communications,respectively,by jointly optimizing the UAV trajectory and the UAV/ground node’s transmit power control over a given flight period.Due to the non-convexity of the formulated problems,it is difficult to obtain globally optimal solutions.However,we propose efficient iterative algorithms to obtain high-quality suboptimal solutions by applying the block coordinate descent and successive convex optimization methods.Simulation results show that the joint optimization algorithms can effectively improve the secrecy rate performance for both the DL and UL communications,as compared with other baseline schemes.The proposed schemes can be considered as special cases of UAV-assisted non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)networks.Bin Duo Junsong Luo Yilian Li Hao Hu Zibin Wang 2021China Communications2021,18,1:4
15Green and efficient degradation of cefoperazone sodium by Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2) leading to the production of non-toxic products:Performance and degradation pathway显示文摘Photocatalytic process represents a promising approach to overcome the pollution challenge associated with the antibiotics-containing wastewater.This study provides a green,efficient and novel approach to remove cephalosporins,particularly cefoperazone sodium(CFP).Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2) was chosen for the first time to systematically study its degradation for CFP,including the analysis of material structure,degradation performance,the structure and toxicity of the transformation products,etc.The degradation rate results indicated that Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2) had an excellent catalytic activity leading to 78%CFP removal compared with the pure BiOBr(38%)within 120 min of visible light irradiation.In addition,the Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2) presents high stability and good organic carbon removal efficiency.The effects of the solution p H(3.12-8.75)on catalytic activity revealed that CFP was mainly photocatalyzed under acidic conditions and hydrolyzed under alkaline conditions.Combined with active species and degradation product identification,the photocatalytic degradation pathways of CFP by Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2) was proposed,including hydrolysis,oxidation,reduction and decarboxylation.Most importantly,the identified products were all hydrolysis rather than oxidation byproducts transformed from the intermediate ofβ-lactam bond cleavage in CFP molecule,quite different from the mostly previous studies.Furthermore,the final products were demonstrated to be less toxic through the toxicity analysis.Overall,this study illustrates the detailed mechanism of CFP degradation by Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2) and confirms Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2) to be a promising material for the photodegradation of CFP.Yingying Chen Ruiping Li Yan Gu Hailin Tian Yingping Huang Junsong Chen Yanfen Fang Changying Yang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,2:4
16Outage-optimal relaying through opportunistic hybrid forward cooperation显示文摘In this paper, a new scheme based on relay selection and data forwarding in multi-relay cooperative networks is introduced. Unlike most existing solutions focused on amplify-and-forward (AF) or decode-and-forward (DF) protocol separately, the proposed hybrid forward (HF) scheme takes advantage of both AF and DF protocols in relay forwarding. Based on theoretical analysis, a closed-form expression for the tight lower bound of its outage probability is derived, and further performance analysis is also presented. Then, in total power restricted networks, an optimal power allocation strategy between the source and the selected relay is developed to minimize the outage probability. 18Simultaneous chromatographic fingerprinting and quantitative analysis of flavonoids in Pollen Typhae by high-performance capillary electrophoresis显示文摘To evaluate the quality of Pollen Typhae as used in traditional Chinese medicine,a high-performance capillary electrophoresis(HPCE)method has been developed,validated and applied to chromatographic fingerprinting and quantitation of its eight main bioactive flavonoids(naringenin,isorhamnetin 3-0-(2^(G)-α-L-rhamnosy)-rutinoside,rhamnetin 3-0-neohesperidoside,isorhamnetin,quercetin 3-0-(2^(G)-α-L-rhamnosyl)-rutinoside,quercetin 3-O-neohesperidoside,kaempferol and quer-cetin).Fingerprinting was based on the selection of nine characteristic chromatographic peaks.In quantitative analysis,the recovery of all eight compounds was in the range 98.5-102.2% with good linearity(r^(2)>0.9919)over a relatively wide concentration range.The assay was successfully applied to the analysis of the eight bioactive flavonoids in 14 different samples.The results indicate that the assay is reproducible and precise and can be used for convenient quality assessment of Pollen Typhae.Le Han Xunhong Liu Nianyun Yang Junsong Li Baochang Cai Shi Cheng 2012Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,6:3
19Environmentally stable Er-fiber mode-locked pulse generation and amplification by spectrally filtered and phase-biased nonlinear amplifying long-loop mirror显示文摘We report on environmentally stable long-cavity ultrashort erbium-doped fiber lasers,which self-start mode-locking at quite low thresholds by using spectrally filtered and phase-biased nonlinear amplifying long-loop mirrors.By employing 100-m polarization-maintaining fiber(PMF)in the nonlinear loop,the fundamental repetition rate reaches 1.84 MHz and no practical limitation is found to further decrease the repetition rate.The filter used in the long loop not only suppresses Kelly sidebands of the solitons,but also eliminates the amplified spontaneous emission which exists widely in lowrepetition-rate ultrafast fiber lasers.The bandwidth of the filter is optimized by using a numerical model.The laser emits approximately 3-ps pulses with an energy of 17.4 p J,which is further boosted to 1.5μJ by using a fiber amplifier.Zhengru Guo Qiang Hao Junsong Peng Heping Zeng 2019High Power Laser Science and Engineering2019,7,3:3
20Manufacturers' Channel Competition with Retailer Demand-Enhancing Service显示文摘Manufacturers’channel competition with service is examined in this paper.Specifically,the authors consider channel competition within a supply chain comprising two manufacturers and one single retailer where each manufacturer can choose to sell its products either directly to the end market(online channel,say)or through the potential retail channel,based on the profit maximization criterion,which is influenced by exogenous market conditions,such as the degree of competition,etc.Furthermore,the retailer provides additional demand-enhancing service to promote the manufacturer’s products distributed via it.If only one of the manufacturers sells products through the retailer,its products will be promoted by the additional retail service,which poaches demand of products of the manufacturer who adopts direct online channel.Products of both manufacturers are supported by the retailer’s promotional service when both distribute their product through the common retailer.Finally,some managerial implications are derived from numerical analyses of our model,which explain the phenomena in practice and conclude the paper.BIAN Junsong LAI Kin Keung HUA Zhongsheng 2015Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2015,28,4:3
