1Effects of Nitrogen Application Rate and Ratio on Lodging Resistance of Super Rice with Different Genotypes显示文摘The objective of this study was to determine the morphology mechanism of nitrogen(N) fertilizer rates and ratio on lodging resistance through analying its effects among lodging index(LI),lodging-related morphological traits and physical strength in basal internodes by comparing japonica and indica super rice cultivars.Field experiments,with three nitrogen levels(0,150 and 300 kg ha-1) and two ratios of basal to topdressing(8:2 and 5:5) with two super rice cultivars(Yliangyou 2 and Wuyunjing 23),were conducted in the Baolin Farm,Danyang Country,Jiangsu Province,China,in 2011 and 2012.Effects of N fertilizer rates and ratios on morphology of whole plant,morphology traits in basal internodes and culm's physical strength parameters were investigated at 20 d after full heading stage.LI of Yliangyou 2 was significant greater than that of Wuyunjing 23 due to larger bending moment by whole plant(WP) with higher plant height and gravity center height.With higher volume of N fertilizer,LI of two super rice cultivars was increased conspicuously.However,no significant effect was detected with increase of panicle fertilizer ratio.The size of breaking strength(M) in basal internodes was the key factor determining LI among N fertilizer treatments.Correlation analysis revealed that M value was positively related bending stress(BS) of Wuyunjing 23 and section modulus(Z) of Yliangyou 2,respectively.The higher N fertilizer levels induced reduction of BS of Wuyunjing 23 due to weak culm and leaf sheath plumpness status and reduced Z of Yliangyou 2 owning to small diameter and culm wall thickness,consequently,influencing their M indirectly.These results suggested that breaking strength was the key factor influencing LI with increase of N fertilizer levels.However,the lodging-related morphology mechanism was different with genotypes.Culm wall thickness and diameter in basal internodes of indica super rice and culm and leaf sheath plumpness status of japonica super rice influenced breaking strength,as well as lodging index,respectively.ZHANG Wu-jun LI Gang-hua YANG Yi-ming LI Quan ZHANG Jun LIU Jin-you WANG Shao-hua TANG She DING Yan-feng 2014Journal of Integrative Agriculture2014,13,1:32
2Spatio-temporal trend and statistical distribution of extreme precipitation events in Huaihe River Basin during 1960-2009显示文摘Based on the daily precipitation data of 27 meteorological stations from 1960 to 2009 in the Huaihe River Basin, spatio-temporal trend and statistical distribution of extreme precipitation events in this area are analyzed. Annual maximum series (AM) and peak over threshold series (POT) are selected to simulate the probability distribution of extreme precipitation. The results show that positive trend of annual maximum precipitation is detected at most of used stations, only a small number of stations are found to depict a negative trend during the past five decades, and none of the positive or negative trend is significant. The maximum precipitation event almost occurred in the flooding period during the 1960s and 1970s. By the L-moments method, the parameters of three extreme distributions, i.e., Generalized extreme value distribution (GEV), Generalized Pareto distribution (GP) and Gamma distribution are estimated. From the results of goodness of fit test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) test, AM series can be better fitted by GEV model and POT series can be better fitted by GP model. 3USP19 suppresses inflammation and promotes M2-like macrophage polarization by manipulating NLRP3 function via autophagy显示文摘Macrophage polarization to proinflammatory M1-like or anti-inflammatory M2-like cells is critical to mount a host defense or repair tissue.The exact molecular mechanisms controlling this process are still elusive.Here,we report that ubiquitin-specific protease 19(USP19)acts as an anti-inflammatory switch that inhibits inflammatory responses and promotes M2-like macrophage polarization.USP19 inhibited NLRP3 inflammasome activation by increasing autophagy flux and decreasing the generation of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species.In addition,USP19 inhibited the proteasomal degradation of inflammasome-independent NLRP3 by cleaving its polyubiquitin chains.USP19-stabilized NLRP3 promoted M2-like macrophage polarization by direct association with interferon regulatory factor 4,thereby preventing its p62-mediated selective autophagic degradation.Consistent with these observations,compared to wild-type mice,Usp19−/−mice had decreased M2-like macrophage polarization and increased interleukin-1βsecretion,in response to alum and chitin injections.Thus,we have uncovered an unexpected mechanism by which USP19 switches the proinflammatory function of NLRP3 into an anti-inflammatory function,and suggest that USP19 is a potential therapeutic target for inflammatory interventions.Tao Liu Liqiu Wang Puping Liang Xiaojuan Wang Yukun Liu Jing Cai Yuanchu She Dan Wang Zhi Wang Zhiyong Guo Samuel Bates Xiaojun Xia Junjiu Huang Jun Cui 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,10:15
4Effects of culm carbohydrate partitioning on basal stem strength in a high-yielding rice population显示文摘Rice culm carbohydrate transport can simultaneously affect grain filling and stem lodging resistance by regulating non-structural carbohydrate(NSC) and structural carbohydrate(SC) contents. However, the relationship between carbohydrate transposition and culm strength is not well documented. Accordingly, a high-yielding hybrid rice cultivar(Y Liangyou 2) was tested under different N fertilization regimes at two locations, Taoyuan(a special high-yield eco-site), Yunnan province and Danyang(a representative eco-site of the middle and lower Yangtze), Jiangsu province, China. Significantly higher grain yield and basal stem strength were found at Taoyuan than Danyang under all N rates throughout the two-year experiment. At heading stage, soluble sugars, starch, cellulose and lignin contents of the basal culm at Taoyuan were significantly 132.0%, 73.7%, 1.2%, and 62.7% higher than those at Danyang, respectively. At 20 days after heading, soluble sugars and starch content at Taoyuan decreased significantly compared to Danyang, but lignin content remained higher. Culm carbohydrate transport to kernels at Taoyuan was significantly greater than that at Danyang, and the proportion of soluble sugars and starch was correspondingly 62.9%lower. However, the proportion of lignin and cellulose was 22.7% higher at Taoyuan than that at Danyang. Soluble sugars and starch partitioning were significantly reduced under an increased nitrogen application rate, but SC partitioning was little affected. 7Relationship of particle stimulated nucleation,recrystallization and mechanical properties responding to Fe and Si contents in hot-extruded 7055 aluminum alloys显示文摘The variations of coarse intermetallic particles in hot-extruded 7055 aluminum alloys with 0.041 wt%Fe and 0.024 wt%Si increasing to 0.272 wt%Fe and 0.134 wt%Si were investigated.The particle stimulated nucleation(PSN)behaviors for different kind of coarse particles were detailly analyzed by EBSD.Moreover,the effect of PSN responding to Fe and Si contents on recrystallization and tensile properties of 7055 alloys was evaluated.With increasing Fe and Si contents,the size and number density of coarseη/S particles are reduced,while the number densities of coarse Al7Cu2 Fe and Mg2Si particles are both increased and the coarse Al7Cu2 Fe particles transform from rod-like to irregular.More PSN recrystallized grains with predominant orientations deviated from the extruded fiber textures are stimulated by the irregular Al7Cu2 Fe and Mg2Si particles,because a higher degree of local non-uniform deformation is produced.The rod-like Al7Cu2 Fe particles cause the greatest degree of local non-uniform deformation owing to the largest aspect ratio,but the shape also restricts the area of particle deformation zone(PDZ)resulting in fewer PSN recrystallized grains.The irregularη/S particles give rise to the lowest degree of local non-uniform deformation and fewest PSN recrystallized grains with the major orientations close to the extruded fiber textures.Consequently,despite the number and size of coarseη/S particles are reduced,the proportion of high angle grain boundaries(HAGBs)is increased and the extruded fiber textures are weakened with Fe and Si contents increasing,because of the increased Al7Cu2 Fe and Mg2Si particles.The strength is slightly declined by the weakened<111>//ED(extrusion direction)fiber texture,while the elongation is reduced for a larger number of coarse particles and more HAGBs with higher Fe and Si contents.Huan She Da Shu Anping Dong Jun Wang Baode Sun Hongchang Lai 2019Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,11:10
8Calcite Dissolution in Deionized Water from 50℃ to 250℃ at 10 MPa:Rate Equation and Reaction Order显示文摘Carbonate minerals and water (or geofluids) reactions are important for modeling of geochemical processes and have received considerable attention over the past decades.The calcite dissolution rates from 50℃to 250℃at 10 MPa in deionized water with a flow rate varying from 0.2 to 5 mL/min were experimentally measured in a continuous flow column pressure vessel reactor.The dissolution began near the equilibrium with c/c_(eq)>0.3 and finally reached the equilibrium at 100℃-250℃,so the corresponding solubility was also determined as 1.87,2.02,2.02 and 1.88×10^(-4)·mol/L at 100℃,150℃,200℃and 250℃respectively,which was first increasing and then switching to decreasing with temperature and the maximum value might occur between 150℃and 200℃.The experimental dissolution rate not only increased with temperature,but also had a rapid increase between 150℃and 200℃at a constant flow rate of 4 mL/min.The measured dissolution rates can be described using rate equations of R=k(1-c/c_(eq))n or R=kc^(-n).In these equations the reaction order n changed with temperature,which indicates that n was a variable rather than a constant,and the activation energy was 13.4 kJ/mol calculated with R=k(1-c/c_(eq))~n or 18.0 k J/mol with R=kc^(-n),which is a little lower than the surface controlled values.The varied reaction order and lower activation energy indicates that calcite dissolution in this study is a complex interplay of diffusion controlled and surface controlled processes.GONG Qingjie DENG Jun WANG Qingfei YANG Liqiang SHE Min 2008Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2008,82,5:9
9Correlation of serum vitamin D, adipose tissue vitamin D receptor, and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ in women with gestational diabetes mellitus显示文摘Background:Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)is a common complication during pregnancy.Obesity and overweight are closely related to metabolic diseases and diabetes.However,the role of adipose tissue in the pathogenesis of GDM remains to be studied.The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation of vitamin D(VD)levels,VD receptor(VDR),and peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptor g(PPARg)expression with GDM in overweight or obese women.Methods:One hundred and forty pregnant women with full-term single-birth cesarean-section were selected as the study subjects and grouped(70 GDM women,including 35 non-overweight/non-obese women[group G1]and 35 women with overweight or obesity[group G2];70 pregnant women with normal glucose tolerance,including 35 non-overweight/non-obese women[group N1]and 35 overweight/obese women[group N2]).The levels of serum VD,blood biochemistry,and adiponectin were compared in these women.Subcutaneous adipose tissue was isolated from the abdominal wall incision.VDR and PPARg messenger RNA(mRNA)transcript levels in these adipose tissues were quantified by real-time polymerase chain reaction.The differences between the levels of PPARg protein and phosphorylated PPARg Ser273 were detected by Western blotting.Results:The serum VD level ofGDM women was lower in comparison to that of women with normal glucose tolerance(G1 vs.N1:20.62±7.87 ng/mL vs.25.85±7.29 ng/mL,G2 vs.N2:17.06±6.74 ng/mL vs.21.62±7.18 ng/mL,P<0.05),and the lowest in overweight/obese GDM women.VDR and PPARg mRNA expression was higher in the adipose tissues of GDM women in comparison to that of women with normal glucose tolerance(VDR mRNA:G1 vs.N1:210.00[90.58–311.46]vs.89.34[63.74–159.92],G2 vs.N2:298.67[170.84–451.25]vs.198.28[119.46–261.23],PPARg mRNA:G1 vs.N1:100.72[88.61–123.87]vs.87.52[66.37–100.04],G2 vs.N2:117.33[100.08–149.00]vs.89.90[76.95–109.09],P<0.05),and their expression was the highest in GDM+overweight/obese women.VDR mRNA levels positively correlated with the pre-pregnancy body mass index(BMI),pre-delivery BMI,fasting blood glucose(FBG),homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),and PPARg mRNA while it negatively correlated with the VD and the adiponectin levels(r=0.395,0.336,0.240,0.190,0.235,–0.350,–0.294,respectively,P<0.05).The degree of PPARg Ser273 phosphorylation increased in obese and GDM pregnant women.PPARg mRNA levels positively correlated with pre-pregnancy BMI,pre-delivery BMI,FBG,HOMA-IR,serum total cholesterol,triglyceride,free fatty acid,and VDR mRNA,while it negatively correlated with the VD and adiponectin levels(r=0.276,0.199,0.210,0.230,0.182,0.214,0.270,0.235,–0.232,–0.199,respectively,P<0.05).Conclusions:Both GDM and overweight/obese women had decreased serum VD levels and up-regulated VDR and PPARg mRNA expression in adipose tissue,which was further higher in the overweight or obese women with GDM.VDmay regulate the formation and differentiation of adipocytes through the VDR and PPARg pathways and participate in the occurrence of GDM.Hui-Yan Wang Guang-Tong She Li-Zhou Sun Hao Lu Yin-Pin Wang Jun Miao Ke-Zhuo Liu Cai-Feng Sun Hui-Hui Ju 2019Chinese Medical Journal2019,,21:9

11Low-temperature Synthesis of Large-area Films of Molybdenum Trioxide Microbelts in Air and the Dependence of Their Field Emission Performance on Growth Conditions显示文摘A simple method is introduced for the preparation of large-area films of molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) microbelts. It is found that such films can be grown on indium tin oxide (ITO) glasses or silicon substrates at low temperatures by thermal evaporation deposition in air without using catalyst. Field emission measurements show that the turn-on field of the MoO3 microbelts is as low as 2.2 V/μm required to obtain a current density of 10 μA/cm2. 12Numerical simulations of compressible mixing layers with a discontinuous Galerkin method显示文摘Discontinuous Galerkin(DG) method is known to have several advantages for flow simulations,in particular,in fiexible accuracy management and adaptability to mesh refinement. In the present work,the DG method is developed for numerical simulations of both temporally and spatially developing mixing layers. For the temporally developing mixing layer,both the instantaneous fiow field and time evolution of momentum thickness agree very well with the previous results. Shocklets are observed at higher convective Mach numbers and the vortex paring manner is changed for high compressibility. For the spatially developing mixing layer,large-scale coherent structures and self-similar behavior for mean profiles are investigated. The instantaneous fiow field for a three-dimensional compressible mixing layer is also reported,which shows the development of largescale coherent structures in the streamwise direction. 13Association of macular pigment optical density with early stage of non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus显示文摘AIM:To detect the association between macular pigment optical density(MPOD),which reflects the antioxidant ability of retina,and diabetic retinopathy(DR)and to investigate the correlated factors of MPOD.METHODS: Totally 435 subjects of urban Chinese were recruited to the study and divided into 3 groups: non-diabetes mellitus controls(NDM),diabetic patients without retinopathy(DWR),and patients with early stage of non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(DR).Demographic and lifestyle characteristics were ascertained by questionnaire.A food-frequency questionnaire,general physical and ophthalmic examinations were completed for all participants.MPOD was measured by heterochromatic flicker photometry.Foveal thickness was measured by optical coherence tomography.The difference of MPOD among 3 groups was analyzed by analysis of covariance.The correlation analyses of MPOD with the candidate influence factors were assessed using the generalized estimating equations(GEE) model.RESULTS: Of the 435 participants,34 could not perform the MPOD measurements.Final analysis included 401 subjects,including 48 were in DR group,134 in DWR group,and 219 in NDM group.MPOD was not significantly different among DR(0.49 ±0.21),DWR(0.45 ±0.21),and NDM(0.49±0.17) groups(P=0.24) after adjustment for fasting plasma glycemia,central foveal thickness,green vegetables,Chinese wolfberry,carotene and vitamin E.For all the 401 participants included,MPOD was positively associated with central foveal thickness(E=0.0007,P=0.001),Chinese wolfberry(E=0.0345,P=0.01),and green vegetables(E=0.0596,P<0.001) intake.CONCLUSION: The data suggest that MPOD level is not statistically significantly influenced by the onset of diabetes or early stage of DR in the studied population.MPOD level is positively associated with thicker central foveal thickness and higher intake of foods containing carotenoids.Chong-Yang She Hong Gu Jun Xu Xiu-Fen Yang Xue-Tao Ren Ning-Pu Liu 2016International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2016,9,10:5
14The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 15Association of choroidal thickness with early stages of diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetes显示文摘AIM:To assess the correlation between choroidal thickness(CT) and the early stages of diabetic retinopathy(DR) in type 2 diabetic patients.METHODS:We divided 83 diabetic patients(51-80 years of age;50 females) into non diabetic retinopathy group(NDR) and mild/moderate nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR) group,and compared them with 26 non-diabetic control subjects(51-78 years of age;16 females).Subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT) and parafoveal choroidal thickness(PFCT) were measured using enhanced depth imaging spectral-domain optical coherence tomography(EDI-OCT).Ocular health status,disease duration,body mass index,and hemoglobin A1c(Hb A1c) were recorded.RESULTS:The mean ages of the NDR,NPDR,and control groups were 68.0±6.9y,67.8±6.4y,and 65.1±6.3y,respectively(P=0.17).Pearson correlation of the right and left eyes for the control subjects was 0.95 and for the NDR subjects was 0.93.SFCT for the right eyes of the controls was 252.77± 41.10 μm,which was significantly thicker than that of the right eyes in NDR group(221.51±46.56 μm) and the worse eyes of the NPDR group(207.18±61.87 μm;ANOVA,P<0.01).In the diabetic patients pooled together,age was the only variable significantly associated with SFCT(multiple linear regression analysis,P=0.01).CONCLUSION:CT decreased significantly in the NDR and mild/moderate NPDR eyes compared with the control eyes.Age is significantly associated with SFCT in the diabetic patients.Diabetic choroidopathy may be present before clinical retinopathy.Zhi-Jun Shen Xiu-Fen Yang Jun Xu Chong-Yang She Wen-Wen Wei Wan-Lu Zhu Ning-Pu Liu 2017International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2017,10,4:4
16Effect of Chronic Noise Exposure on Expression of N-Methyl-D-Aspartic Acid Receptor 2B and Tau Phosphorylation in Hippocampus of Rats显示文摘Objective To study the effect of chronic noise exposure on expression of N-methyl-D-aspartic acid receptor 2B (NR2B) and tau phosphorylation in hippocampus of rats. Methods Twenty-four male SD rats were divided in control group and chronic noise exposure group. NR2B expression and tau phosphorylation in hippocampus of rats were detected after chronic noise exposure (100 dB SPL white noise, 4 h/d×30d) and their mechanisms underlying neuronal apoptosis in hippocampus of rats with TUNEL staining. Results The NR2B expression decreased significantly after chronic noise exposure which resulted in tau hyperphosphorylation and neural apoptosis in hippocampus of rats. Immunohistochemistry showed that the tau hyperphosphorylation was most prominent in dentate gyrus (DG) and CA1 region of rat hippocampus. 17Microstructures and mechanical properties of titanium-reinforced magnesium matrix composites: Review and perspective显示文摘Currently, many gratifying signs of progress have been made in magnesium(Mg) matrix composites(MMCs) by virtue of their high mechanical properties both at room and elevated temperatures. Although the commonly used reinforcements in MMCs are ceramic particles,they often provide improved yield and ultimate stresses by a significant loss in ductility. Therefore, hard metallic phases were introduced as alternative candidates for the manufacturing of MMCs, especially titanium(Ti). It has a high melting point, high Young’s modulus, high plasticity, low level of mutual solubility with Mg matrix, and closer thermal expansion coefficient to that of Mg metal than that of ceramic particles. It is highly preferable to provide both high ultimate stress and ductility in Mg matrix. However, many critical challenges for the fabrication of Ti-reinforced MMCs remain, such as Ti’s homogeneity, low recovery rate, and the optimization of interfacial bonding strength between Mg and Ti, etc. Meanwhile, different fabrication methods have various effects on the microstructures, mechanical properties, and the interfacial strength of Ti-reinforced MMCs. Hence, this review placed emphasis on the microstructural characteristics and mechanical properties of Ti-reinforced MMCs fabricated by different techniques. The influencing factors that govern the strengthening mechanisms were systematically compared and discussed. 18Interfacial Characteristic of as-Deformed SiCp-Reinforced Magnesium Matrix Composite显示文摘The(submicron+micron) Si Cp-reinforced magnesium matrix composite was fabricated by stir casting. After the application of forging and extrusion, the interface between Si Cp and Mg in the composite was investigated by transmission electron microscopy. Results show that the interfacial characterization was different at the interfaces of micron-Si Cp/Mg and submicron-Si Cp/Mg. While most interfaces between micron-Si Cp and Mg were clean, the precipitated Mg17Al12 phase as well as dispersedly distributed nano-Mg O particles was observed at some interfaces. Unlike the interface between micron-Si Cp and Mg, no interfacial reaction product was found at the interface between submicron-Si Cp and Mg in the present study. Besides, the specific orientation relationships were found at the interfaces between submicronSi Cp and Mg, which was thought to have developed during hot deformation process. 20Tailoring of electromagnetic field localizations by twodimensional graphene nanostructures显示文摘Graphene has great potential for enhancing light−matter interactions in a two-dimensional regime due to surface plasmons with low loss and strong light confinement.Further utilization of graphene in nanophotonics relies on the precise control of light localization properties.Here,we demonstrate the tailoring of electromagnetic field localizations in the mid-infrared region by precisely shaping the graphene into nanostructures with different geometries.We generalize the phenomenological cavity model and employ nanoimaging techniques to quantitatively calculate and experimentally visualize the two-dimensional electromagnetic field distributions within the nanostructures,which indicate that the electromagnetic field can be shaped into specific patterns depending on the shapes and sizes of the nanostructures.Furthermore,we show that the light localization performance can be further improved by reducing the sizes of the nanostructures,where a lateral confinement of λ0/180 of the incidence light can be achieved.The electromagnetic field localizations within a nanostructure with a specific geometry can also be modulated by chemical doping.Our strategies can,in principle,be generalized to other two-dimensional materials,therefore providing new degrees of freedom for designing nanophotonic components capable of tailoring two-dimensional light confinement over a broad wavelength range.Ze-Bo Zheng Jun-Tao Li Teng Ma Han-Lin Fang Wen-Cai Ren Jun Chen Jun-Cong She Yu Zhang Fei Liu Huan-Jun Chen Shao-Zhi Deng Ning-Sheng Xu 2017Light(Science & Applications)2017,6,1:2
