1Infrared fluorescence imaging of infarcted hearts with A@S nanodots显示文摘Ag2S nano dots have already bee n dem onstrated as promisi ng n ear-i nfrared (NIR-II, 1.0-1.45 pm) emitting nan oprobes with low toxicity, high penetration and high resolution for in vivo imaging of, for example, tumors and vasculature. In this work, we have systematically investigated the pote ntial applicati on of function alized Ag2S nano dots for accurate imaging of damaged myocardium tissues after a myocardial in farction in duced by either partial or global ischemia. Ag2S nano dots surface-function alized with the an giote nsin II peptide (ATI I) have show n over 10-fold enhanced binding efficiency to damaged tissues than non-specifically (PEG) functionalized Ag2S nanodots due to their interaction with the upregulated angiotensin II receptor type I (AT1R). It is demonstrated how the NIR-II images generated by ATII-functionalized Ag2S nanodots contain valuable information about the location and extension of damaged tissue in the myocardium allowing for a proper identification of the occluded artery as well as an in direct evaluati on of the damage level. The pote ntial applicati on of Ag2S nano dots in the n ear future for in vivo imaging of myocardial infarction was also corroborated by performing proof of concept whole body imaging experiments.Dirk H. 11Impact of SARS-CoV-2 on neuropsychiatric disorders显示文摘Evolving data show a variable expression of clinical neurological manifestations in patients suffering with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)from early disease onset.The most frequent symptoms and signs are fatigue,dizziness,impaired consciousness,ageusia,anosmia,radicular pain,and headache,as well as others.Based on the high number of series of cases reported,there is evidence for the implication of the immune system in the pathological mechanism of COVID-19.Although the exact role of the immunological mechanism is not elucidated,two main mechanisms are suggested which implicate the direct effect of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection in the central nervous system and neuroinflammation.In the context of neurological manifestations associated with COVID-19,neuropsychiatric disorders show an exacerbation and are described by symptoms and signs such as depression,anxiety,mood alterations,psychosis,post-traumatic stress disorder,delirium,and cognitive impairment,which appear to be common in COVID-19 survivors.A worsened score on psychopathological measures is seen in those with a history of psychiatric comorbidities.We review the neuropsychiatric manifestations associated with COVID-19 and some critical aspects of the innate and adaptive immune system involved in mental health disorders occurring in COVID-19.Maria Angeles Robinson-Agramonte Carlos-Alberto Goncalves Elena Noris-García NaybíPréndes Rivero Anna Lisa Brigida Stephen Schultz Dario Siniscalco Ramiro Jorge García García 2021World Journal of Psychiatry2021,11,7:1

20Vasorelaxant activity of extracts obtained from Apium graveolens:Possible source for vasorelaxant molecules isolation with potential antihypertensive effect显示文摘Objective:To investigate the vasorelaxant effect of organic extracts from Apium graveolens(A.graveolens)which is a part of a group of plants subjected to pharmacological and phytochemical study with the purpose of offering it as an ideal source for obtaining lead compounds for designing new therapeutic agents with potential vasorelaxant and antihypertensive effects.Methods:An ex vivo method was employed to assess the vasorelaxant activity.This consisted of using rat aortic rings with and without endothelium precontracted with norepinephrine.Results:All extracts caused concentration-dependent relaxation in precontracted aortic rings with and without endothelium;the most active extracts were Dichloromethane and Ethyl Acetate extracts from A.graveolens.These results suggested that secondary metabolites responsible for the vasorelaxant activity belong to a group of compounds of medium polarity.Also,our evidence showed that effect induced by dichloromethane and ethyl acetate extracts from A.graveolens is mediated probably by calcium antagonism.Conclusions:A.graveolens represents an ideal source for obtaining lead compounds for designing new therapeutic agents with potential vasorelaxant and antihypertensive effects.Vergara-Galicia Jorge Jimenez-Ramirez Luis Angel Tun-Suarez Adrian Aguirre-Crespo Francisco Salazar-Gomez Anuar Estrada-Soto Samuel Sierra-Ovando Angel Hernandez-Nunez Emmanuel 2013Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,10:1
