| 2 | 武夷山脉南北蕨类植物生物多样性研究显示文摘从植物区系、生物多样性容量、通量和质量等方面比较了武夷山脉从南到北梁野山、闽江源、武夷山3个国家级自然保护区中蕨类植物的生物多样性.结果表明,在武夷山脉由南到北,蕨类植物的热带性成分趋于递减,北温带分布及其变型、东亚分布及其变型递增.由物种数及丰富度指数DGl可以得出,武夷山自然保护区蕨类植物生物多样性容量最大.连通性方面,武夷山脉不同的保护区间物种水平的相似性不到55%,而从武夷山脉南段至中段、中段至北段,种的β多样性指数βL值都达到30%,这两点说明武夷山脉是蕨类植物的现代分化中心之一.通过考察Cody指数βC发现,中段的闽江源自然保护区是武夷山脉的重要节点.虽然流通率表明武夷山脉蕨类植物的连通性较强,但在物种水平上,更替值在南段到中段、中段到北段均超过30%,因此有必要进一步在保护区之间建立与建设供动植物物种迁移的生态廊道.由于保存了较多的蕨类植物模式标本种和局域种,在充分考虑物种权值的前提下,武夷山自然保护区的蕨类植物生物多样性质量指数值达764,因此其多样性质量最高.研究结果可以为保护区群网的建设提供理论依据. | 叶文 李振基 BENITO C Tan CHANG Ying 陈鹭真 何建源 刘初钿 | 2007 | 厦门大学学报(自然科学版)2007,46,3: | 9 |
| 3 | Sports-related sudden cardiac death due to myocardial diseases on a population from 1-35 years: a multicentre forensic study in Spain显示文摘This is a multicentre forensic study that identifies all sports-related sudden deaths (SRSDs) in young people,due to myocardial diseases (MDs) that occurred in a large area of Spain.The aim of the study is to assess the epidemiology,causes of death,and sport activities associated with these fatalities.This is a retrospective study based on forensic autopsies performed in the provinces of Biscay,Seville,Valencia and in the jurisdiction covered by the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences in Madrid (Spain).The retrospective study encompasses from 2010 to 2017.All sudden cardiac deaths (SCDs) in persons 1-35years old were selected.The total number of SCDs were divided into death occurred during exercise (SRSD) and death during rest,sleep or normal activities (non-SRSD).Each of these two groups was subdivided according to the cause of death into MD (primary cardiomyopathies and myocarditis) and non-MD.Clinic-pathological,toxicological and genetic characteristics of SRSD due to MD were analysed.Over the 8-year study period,we identified 645 cases of SCD in the young: 75 SRSD (11.6%) and 570 non-SRSD (88.4%).MD was diagnosed in 33 (44.0%) of the SRSD and in 112 (19.6%) of the non-SRSD cases.All cases of SRSD due to MD were males (mean age (24.0±7.6) years) practicing recreational sports (85%).SRSDs were more frequent in arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM) (37%) and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) (24%),followed by myocarditis (15%) and idiopathic left ventricular hypertrophy (ILVH) (9%).Only in five cases of SRSD the MD responsible of death (HCM) had been diagnosed in life.Cardiovascular symptoms related to the disease were present in other seven patients (six of them with ACM).Postmortem genetic studies were performed in 15/28 (54%) primary cardiomyopathies with positive results in 12 (80%) cases.The most frequent sports disciplines were football (49%) followed by gymnastics (15%) and running (12%).In Spain,SRSD in young people due to MDs occurs in males who perform a recreational activity.Compared with control group we observed a strong association between MDs and exertion.One in three SRSDs are due to cardiomyopathy,especially ACM,which reinforces the need for preparticipation screening to detect these pathologies in recreational sport athletes.Further studies are warranted to understand the causes and circumstances of sudden death to facilitate the development of preventive strategies. | Benito Morentin M.Paz Suárez-Mier Ana Monzó Pilar Molina Joaquín S.Lucena | 2019 | Forensic Sciences Research2019,4,3: | 6 |
| 4 | Microscopic colitis:A large retrospective analysis from a health maintenance organization experience显示文摘AIM:To examine the demographic data on a large multi-ethnic population of patients with microscopic colitis (MC) in Southern California and to determine the association of MC with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colorectal cancer.METHODS: All patients diagnosed with MC by colonic biopsy from 1996-2005 were identified utilizing a pathology database. All biopsies were reviewed by experienced pathologists utilizing standard histologic criteria. Patients' medical records were reviewed and data regarding patient age, co-morbidities, sex, ethnicity, and medications were analyzed. An age-and sexmatched standard control group was also generated. Chi-square test was used to evaluate the associations of co-morbidities between lymphocytic colitis (LC), collagenous colitis (CC) and the control group.RESULTS: A total of 547 cases of MC were identif ied,376 patients with LC and 171 patients with CC. The female/male ratio was 3:1 in CC and 2.7:1 in LC patients. Celiac disease (P<0.001), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) (P<0.001), and thyroid diseases (P<0.001) were found to have a higher occurrence in MC compared to the control group. No statistical differences in the occurrence of colorectal cancer, diabetes and IBD were found between the MC group and the control group.CONCLUSION: This is the largest group of patients with MC known to the authors that has been studied to date. Conditions such as celiac disease, IBS, and thyroid diseases were found to be related to MC. | 13 | A novel motion tracking system for evaluation of functional rehabilitation of the upper limbs显示文摘Upper limb function impairment is one of the most common sequelae of central nervous system injury, especially in stroke patients and when spinal cord injury produces tetraplegia. Conventional assessment methods cannot provide objective evaluation of patient performance and the effectiveness of therapies. The most common assessment tools are based on rating scales, which are inefficient when measuring small changes and can yield subjective bias. In this study, we designed an inertial sensor-based monitoring system composed of five sensors to measure and analyze the complex movements of the upper limbs, which are common in activities of daily living. We developed a kinematic model with nine degrees of freedom to analyze upper limb and head movements in three dimensions. This system was then validated using a commercial optoelectronic system. | 14 | Capsule endoscopy capture rate: Has 4 frames-per-second any impact over 2frames-per-second?显示文摘AIM: To compare the current capsule and a new prototype at 2 and 4 frames-per-second, respectively, in terms of clinical and therapeutic impact. METHODS: One hundred patients with an indication for capsule endoscopy were included in the study. All procedures were performed with the new device(SB24). After an exhaustive evaluation of the SB24 videos, they were then converted to 'SB2-like' videos for their evaluation. Findings, frames per finding, and clinical and therapeutic impact derived from video visualization were analyzed. Kappa index for interobserver agreement and χ2 and Student's t tests for qualitative/quantitative variables, respectively, were used. Values of P under 0.05 were considered statistically significant.RESULTS: Eighty-nine out of 100 cases included in the study were ultimately included in the analysis. The SB24 videos detected the anatomical landmarks(Zline and duodenal papilla) and lesions in more patients than the 'SB2-like' videos. On the other hand, the SB24 videos detected more frames per landmark/lesion than the 'SB2-like' videos. However, these differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05). Both clinical and therapeutic impacts were similar between SB24 and 'SB2-like' videos(K = 0.954). The time spent by readers was significantly higher for SB24 videos visualization(P < 0.05) than for 'SB2-like' videos when all images captured by the capsule were considered. | 15 | Selective uptake of major and trace elements in Erica andevalensis,an endemic species to extreme habitats in the Iberian Pyrite Belt显示文摘To assess the ecophysiological traits and the phytoremediation potential of the endemic heather Erica andevalensis,we determined the concentrations of major and trace elements in different plant parts and in rizosphere soils from Riotinto mining district (Huelva,Spain).The results showed that E.andevalensis may grow on substrates with very high As,Cu,Fe and Pb concentrations (up to 4114,1050,71900 and 15614 μg/g dry weight,respectively),very low availability of macro-and micronutrients and with pH values ranging from 3.3 to 4.9.In these harsh edaphic conditions E.andevalensis selectively absorbed and translocated essential nutrients and excludes potentially phytotoxic elements,which were accumulated in the root epidermis.The concentrations of major and trace elements in E.andevalensis aerial parts from the Riotinto mining district were in the normal range for plants;likewise other Erica species it accumulated Mn and only in a very polluted site we measured leaf concentrations of As and Pb within the excessive or toxic limits for plants.Differently from previous studies,which emphasized the soil pH and bioavailability of phytotoxic elements as the main stress factors,this study showed that in the Riotinto region,E.andevalensis can tolerate wide range of pH and toxic element concentrations;the harshest environments colonized by monospecific patches of this species were characterized above all by very low availability of nutrients.The extraordinary capability to adapt to these extreme habitats made E.andevalensis a priority species to promote the phytostabilization and the development of a self-sustaining vegetative cover on Riotinto mine tailings. | Fabrizio Monaci Eduardo O.Leidi Maria Dolores Mingorance Benito Valdés Sabina Rossini Oliva Roberto Bargagli | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,3: | 2 |
