2Risk factors and long-term health consequences of macrosomia:a prospective study in Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘We sought to determine risk factors associated with fetal macrosomia and to explore the long-term consequence of infant macrosomia at the age of 7 years.A prospective population based cohort study was designed to examine the associations between maternal and perinatal characteristics and the risk of macrosomia.A nested case-control study was conducted to explore the long-term health consequence of infant macrosomia.The mean maternal age of the macrosomia group was 24.74±3.32 years,which is slightly older than that in the control group(24.35±3.14 years,P = 0.000).The mean maternal body mass index(BMI) at early pregnancy was 22.75±2.81 kg/m 2,which was also higher than that in the control group(21.76±2.59 kg/m 2,P = 0.000).About 64.6% of macrosomic neonates were males,compared with 51.0% in the control group(P = 0.000).Compared with women with normal weight(BMI:18.5-23.9 kg/m 2),women who were overweight(BMI:24-27.9 kg/m 2) or obese(BMI ≥ 28 kg/m 2),respectively,had a 1.69-fold(P = 0.000) and a 1.49-fold(P = 0.000) increased risks of having a neonate with macrosomia,while light weight(BMI<18.5 kg/m 2) women had an approximately 50% reduction of the risk.Furthermore,macrosomia infant had a 1.52-fold and 1.50-fold risk,respectively,of developing overweight or obesity at the age of 7 years(P = 0.001 and P = 0.000).Older maternal age,higher maternal BMI at early pregnancy and male gender were independent risk factors of macrosomia.Macrosomic infant was associated with an increased predisposition to develop overweight or obesity at the beginning of their childhood.Shouyong Gu Xiaofei An Liang Fang Xiaomin Zhang Chunyan Zhang Jingling Wang Qilan Liu Yanfang Zhang Yongyue Wei Zhibin Hu Feng Chen Hongbing Shen 2012The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,4:14
3Method for Evaluating the Degrees of Land Use Sustainability of Mountainous County and its Application in Yunnan Province,China显示文摘The evaluation of sustainable land use is the key issue in the field of studying the sustainable land utilization. In general analysis, the sustainable land use is evaluated respectively from its ecological sustainability, economic sustainability and social sustainability in China and other countries in recent years. Although this evaluation is an important work, it seems insufficient and hard to comprehensively reflect the whole degree of land use sustainability. Thus, to make up this deficiency, this paper brings forward the evaluation indexes, which make it possible to quantitatively reflect the whole degree of land use sustainability, namely, the concept of 'degrees of overall land use sustainability' (DOS), and research and development of the method of measurement and calculation in DOS. Taking the evaluation of the degree of land use sustainability in county regions of Yunnan Province as the actual example for analysis, results are basically as follows:1) The degree of land use sustainability (DOS) is the ration index to organically and systematically integrate the degree of ecological friendliness (DEF), the degree of economic viability (DEV) and the degree of social acceptability (DSA), able to comprehensively reflect the whole sustainability degree of regional land use. 2) Based on the value of DOS, the grading system and standard for the sustainability of land use may be established and totally divided into five grades, namely, the high-degree sustainability, middle-degree sustainability, low-degree sustainability, conditional sustainability and non-sustainability. Meanwhile, the standard for distinguishing sustainability grades has also been confirmed so as to determine the nature of sustainability degrees in different grades. This makes the possibility for the combination of nature determination with ration in research result and provides with the scientific guideline and decision-making gist for better implementation of sustainable land use strategy.3) The practice in evaluation of sustainability degree in county regional land use in Yunnan shows that the value of the degree of land use sustainability (DOS) of whole Yunnan Province is only 58.39, belonging to the grade of low-degree sustainability. Two thirds of counties in the whole province represent the grade of 'conditional sustainability' and 'non-sustainability' in the sustainability of land use. Among these counties, 11.11 % shows 'non- sustainability'. The lowest degree of land use sustainability appears especially in the middle plateau mountain region of Northeast Yunnan, where the value of DOS in most counties (districts) is below 40 %, belonging to the grade of 'non-sustainability'. The sustainability degree in the karst mountainous region in lower-middle plateau mountain region in Southeast Yunnan is generally low and the value of sustainability degree (DOS) in most of the counties (cities and districts) is below 55. The value of sustainability degree (DOS) in most of the counties (cities and districts) in the north, west, northwest and southwest parts of Yunnan is below 55. 4Geophysical methods for the study of sedimentary cycles显示文摘We present the wavelet depth-frequency analysis and variable-scale frequency cycle analysis methods to study sedimentary cycles.The spectrum analysis,variable-scale frequency cycle analysis, and wavelet depth-frequency analysis methods are mainly discussed to distinguish sedimentary cycles of different levels.The spectrum analysis method established the relationship between the spectrum characteristics and the thickness and number of sedimentary cycles.Both the variable-scale frequency cycle analysis and the wavelet depth-frequency analysis are based on the wavelet transform.The variable-scale frequency cycle analysis is used to obtain the relationship between the periodic changes of frequency in different scales and sedimentary cycles,and the wavelet depth-frequency analysis is used to obtain the relationship between migration changes of frequency energy clusters and sedimentary cycles. 5Influence of Mg and Ti on the microstructure and electrochemical performance of aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes显示文摘The experiments focused on the influence of magnesium and titanium as additional alloying elements on the microstructure and electro-chemical behavior of Al-Zn-In sacrificial anodes. The electrochemical behavior of the aluminum sacrificial anode with 3 wt.% sodium chloride solution was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests. It was found that a microstructure with few precipitates and refined grains could be achieved by adding 1 wt.% Mg and 0.05 wt.% Ti to the Al-Zn-In alloy,resulting in the improved current capacity and efficiency of the alloy. The equivalent circuit based on the EIS experimental data revealed less corrosion and lower adsorbed corrosion production on the surface of the aluminum alloy with a combination of 1 wt.% Mg and 0.05 wt.% Ti,which suggested that the corrosion behavior seemed to be strongly related to the presence of precipitate particles in the aluminum alloy,and moderate amounts of precipitate particles could be beneficial to the electrochemical performance of the aluminum alloy sacrificial anode.Ma Jingling Wen Jiuba Li Xudong Zhao Shengli Yan Yanfu 2009Rare Metals2009,28,2:9
6Pollution characteristics and ecological risk of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in surface sediments of the southern part of the Haihe River system in China显示文摘The southern part of the Haihe River system, the largest river system in the Haihe River Basin, is important to maintain a healthy ecosystem and safe drinking water as well as for the economic development of China. To assess the effect of rapid industrialization and urbanization on the pattern of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) contamination, the PAH pollution characteristics of the southern part of the Haihe River system was investigated. Sixteen PAHs in surface sediments samples collected from 24 sites covering the southern part of the Haihe River system from the upstream to the estuaries were detected and analyzed. The total PAH concentration ranged from 258.77 to 11296.66 ng/g dry weight. On average, 2-, 3-, 4-, 5and 6-ring PAHs comprised 25.32%, 27.22%, 22.62%, 14.89% and 9.96% of the total PAHs, respectively. Sites with high concentrations were concentrated in the Fuhe River, Fuyang River and Wei River, which are located near cities. A risk quotient (RQ) was used to assess the ecological risk of PAHs. The mean values of the RQ(MPCs) of individual PAHs were lower than 1.00, except for those of naphthalene (2.00) and pyrene (1.67). 7Estimation methods of eco-environmental water requirements: Case study显示文摘Supplying water to the ecological environment with certain quantity and quality is significant for the protection of diversity and the realization of sustainable development. The conception and connotation of eco-environmental water requirements, including the definition of the conception, the composition and characteristics of eco-environmental water requirements, are evaluated in this paper. The classification and estimation methods of eco-environmental water requirements are then proposed. On the basis of the study on the Huang-Huai-Hai Area, the present water use, the minimum and suitable water requirement are estimated and the cor-responding water shortage is also calculated. According to the interrelated programs, the eco-environmental water requirements in the coming years (2010, 2030, 2050) are estimated. The result indicates that the minimum and suitable eco-environmental water requirements fluc-tuate with the differences of function setting and the referential standard of water resources, and so as the water shortage. Moreover, the study indicates that the minimum eco-environmental water requirement of the study area ranges from 2.84×1010m3 to 1.02×1011m3, the suitable water requirement ranges from 6.45×1010m3 to 1.78×1011m3, the water shortage ranges from 9.1×109m3 to 2.16×1010m3 under the minimum water requirement, and it is from 3.07×1010m3 to 7.53×1010m3 under the suitable water requirement. According to the different values of the water shortage, the water priority can be allocated. 9Nanoparticles carrying neurotrophin-3-modified Schwann cells promote repair of sciatic nerve defects显示文摘Schwann cells and neurotrophin-3 play an important role in neural regeneration,but the secretion of neurotrophin-3 from Schwann cells is limited,and exogenous neurotrophin-3 is inactived easily in vivo.In this study,we have transfected neurotrophin-3 into Schwann cells cultured in vitro using nanoparticle liposomes.Results showed that neurotrophin-3 was successfully transfected into Schwann cells,where it was expressed effectively and steadily.A composite of Schwann cells transfected with neurotrophin-3 and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) biodegradable conduits was transplanted into rats to repair 10-mm sciatic nerve defects.Transplantation of the composite scaffold could restore the myoelectricity and wave amplitude of the sciatic nerve by electrophysiological examination,promote nerve axonal and myelin regeneration,and delay apoptosis of spinal motor neurons.Experimental findings indicate that neurotrophin-3 transfected Schwann cells combined with bridge grafting can promote neural regeneration and functional recovery after nerve injury.Haibin Zong Hongxing Zhao Yilei Zhao Jingling Jia Libin Yang Chao Ma Yang Zhang Yuzhen Dong 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,14:7

11Cell-free plasma hypermethylated CASZ1, CDH13 and ING2 are promising biomarkers of esophageal cancer显示文摘Identifying sensitive and specific biomarkers for early detection of cancer is immensely imperative for early diagnosis and treatment and better clinical outcome of cancer patients. This study aimed to construct a specific DNA methylation pattern of cancer suppressor genes and explore the feasibility of applying cell-free DNA based methylation as a biomarker for early diagnosis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC). We recruited early stage ESCC patients from Yangzhong County, China. The Illumina Infinium 450 K Methylation BeadChip was used to construct a genome-wide DNA methylation profile. Then, differentiated genes were selected for the validation study using the Sequenom MassARRAY platform. The frequency of methylation was compared between cancer tissues, matched cell-free DNAs and normal controls. The specific methylation profiles were constructed, and the sensitivity and specificity were calculated. Seven CG sites in three genes CASZ1, CDH13 and ING2 were significantly hypermethylated in ESCC as compared with normal controls. A significant correlation was found between the methylation of DNA extracted from cancer tissues and matched plasma cell-free DNA, either for individual CG site or for cumulative methylation analysis. The sensitivity and specificity reached 100% at an appropriate cut-point using these specific methylation biomarkers. This study revealed that aberrant DNA methylation is a promising biomarker for molecular diagnosis of esophageal cancer. 12The Distribution of Dissolved Aluminum in the Yellow and East China Seas显示文摘Water samples containing dissolved aluminum were collected from the Yellow and East China Seas in Octo- ber-November 2000. The average concentrations of dissolved Al in the Yellow Sea (YS) and East China Sea (ECS) were 0.042 and 0.056 μmolL-1, respectively. The concentration of dissolved aluminum decreased gradually across the continental shelf. The lower concentrations appeared in the YS cold water center and in the bottom layer at the shelf edge of the ECS, where they were 0.016 and 0.011 μmolL-1, respectively. The distribution of dissolved Al was controlled by physical mixing processes rather than biological up- take processes. The impact of different water masses along the PN transect was calculated based on the mass balance model. The results show that the impact of the Changjiang River was mainly concentrated on the coastal area and the top thermocline water on the ECS shelf, where the impact percentage decreased from 12.6% to 1.1% in the surface water, while the contribution of the Ku- roshio water was dominant on the ECS shelf in this survey, increasing from 77.6% to 97.8% along the PN transect from the Changjiang River Estuary to the Ryukyu Islands. 13The biogeochemical behavior of dissolved aluminum in the southern Yellow Sea:Influence of the spring phytoplankton bloom显示文摘Many recent studies have investigated the nutrient-type profiles of dissolved aluminum(Al) in the ocean.Significant scavenging of dissolved Al can occur during phytoplankton blooms,but the mechanism remains unclear.The distribution of dissolved Al in the southern Yellow Sea(SYS) was investigated in winter and spring 2009.Following measurements at grid stations during the spring sampling cruise,two drifting anchor surveys of more than 100 h were conducted to trace the variation of dissolved Al concentration during the spring phytoplankton bloom(SPB).The concentration of dissolved Al in the SYS decreased from 40 nmol/L in February to 30 nmol/L in March and 10-20 nmol/L in April,while the concentration of Chl a increased from < 2 μg/L in March to > 4 μg/L in April.The concentration of dissolved Al in the SYS decreased significantly with the development of the phytoplankton bloom,which indicated biological scavenging of dissolved Al from water column.The proportion of dissolved Al scavenged from water column by different phytoplankton species differed at the two drifting stations,with greater removal efficiency demonstrated by diatoms than dinoflagellates.Phytoplankton samples collected from the Chl a maximum layer were washed with trace metal clean reagent(oxalate-EDTA-citrate,abbreviate as oxalate solution,Tovar-Sanchez et al.,2003) to enable the surface-scavenged(extracellular) and intracellular Al pools associated with phytoplankton to be differentiated.Thirty-nine to ninetysix percent of the total Al was found to be existed in the interior pools,which indicated that biological absorption was the important way to scavenge dissolved Al during phytoplankton blooms in the SYS.LI FaMing REN JingLing YAN Li LIU SuMei LIU ChengGang ZHOU Feng ZHANG Jing 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,2:4
14Cycling of phosphorus in the Jiaozhou Bay显示文摘Dissolved inorganic phosphorus (DIP ),dissolved organic phosphorus (DOP ),particulate inorganic phosphorus (P IP ) and particulate organic phosphorus (P OP ) in the Jiaozhou Bay (JZB) and its adjacent major rivers were analyzed during 2001–2003.DIP was the major form of dissolved phosphorus in JZB,representing 62%–83% of the total dissolved phosphorus (T DP ),and the P IP concentration generally exceeded the P OP concentration.The concentrations of phosphorus were higher in the north than in the south of the bay,which were related to the fluvial input and water exchange rate.The dissolved phosphorus concentrations were higher in the autumn and spring than in the summer,while the seasonal variation of particulate phosphorus showed opposite pattern.The distribution of phosphorus is mainly affected by the growth of phytoplankton,desorption/adsorption of DIP from and to particulates,and anthropogenic activities.A preliminary phosphorus budget was established.In JZB,riverine input and water exchange flow between JZB and the Huanghai (Yellow) Sea are the major sources of phosphorus,followed by industrial and domestic waste transport,and then atmospheric deposition.Phosphorus burial efficiency is estimated to be 91%.About 52.2 × 10 6 mol/a of phosphorus were assimilated by phytoplankton,of which about 68% was recycled in the water column and sediment.Q1 Xiaohong LIU Sumei ZHANG Jing REN Jingling ZHANG Guiling 2011Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,2:4
15Study of sedimentary sequence cycles by well-seismic calibration显示文摘In order to solve the problems of the fine division of sedimentary sequence cycles and their change in two-dimensional space as well as lateral extension contrast, we developed a method of wavelet depth-frequency analysis. The single signal and composite signal of different Milankovitch cycles are obtained by numerical simulation. The simulated composite signal can be separated into single signals of a single frequency cycle. We also develop a well-seismic calibration insertion technology which helps to realize the calibration from the spectrum characteristics of a single well to the seismic profile. And then we determine the change and distribution characteristics of spectrum cycles in the two-dimensional space. 16Neuritin promotes angiogenesis through inhibition of DLL4/Notch signaling pathway显示文摘Neuritin is a member of the neurotrophic factor family,which plays an important role in the promotion and development of the nervous system.Neuritin is also involved in angiogenesis.Neuritin was recently found to be a negative regulatory factor of the Notch 1 signaling pathway.Notch signaling pathway is known as a regulatory pathway of angiogenesis.Thus,neuritin may play a role in angiogenesis through the Notch signaling pathway.In the present study,we investigated the expressions of neuritin and Notch signaling pathway factors in the pulmonary vascular tissue.The results showed that neuritin expression was increased in the paraneoplastic vascular tissue and decreased in the lung cancer vascular tissue.The neuritin expression was increased with the increase of vascular tissue density,and a negative correlation between neuritin expression and delta-like ligand 4(DLL4)was identified in vascular tissues of lung cancer.Overexpression of neuritin in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)inhibited the expressions of Notch signaling pathway-associated factors,including DLL4,NICD,and Hes-1,and promoted the migration and tubular formation of HUVECs.In conclusion,our results indicated that neuritin is involved in angiogenesis and may play a role in angiogenesis through the Notch signaling pathway.This study provides a theoretical basis for clinical anti-angiogenesis therapy.Li Yang Xuhui Wang Jiawei Sun Chunyan Liu Guoxiang Li Jingling Zhu Jin Huang 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,6:4

18Hybrid terahertz metamaterial structure formed by assembling a split ring resonator with a metal mesh显示文摘We propose a novel metamaterial structure operating at the terahertz band. This structure is assembled by a split ring resonator (SRR) with a metal mesh within a unit cell. Our experimental studies on the composite structure indicate that the coupling of the SRR and metal mesh significantly contribute to the transparency at the terahertz range. Moreover, we experimentally demonstrated the verity of transmission peak of this structure by changing the relative positions of the SRR and the metal mesh. The simulated electric field redistributions support the dependence between position of the two components and the transmission response. This study is the first to report a hybrid metamaterial structure consisting of an SRR array and a metal mesh within a unit cell. 19Study on terahertz spectra of SO_2 and H_2S显示文摘The spectral characteristics of air pollution gas sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide has been studied experimentally and theo-retically in the range of 0.2-2.6 THz. The gases absorption spectra of sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, as measured by terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy (THz-TDS) technique, show equi-spaced absorption peaks. The peak intervals are varied for different gas and may relate with the molecule structures and rotation modes. We have calculated the intervals of rotational transition frequency according to the gases molecule structure and the rotational modes. The results are consistent with experimental results which confirm the suggestion that the absorption is coming from the molecular rotational transition. 20Seasonal variations of particulate silicon in the Changjiang (Yangtze River) Estuary and its adjacent area显示文摘Temporal and spatial distribution of biogenic (BSi) and lithogenic (LSi) silica were studied in the Changjiang (Yangtze River) Estuary and its adjacent area. The annual average BSi and LSi concentrations were (1.71 ± 1.79) μmol/L and (0.56 ± 1.41) mmol/L, respectively. Both BSi and LSi were high in the inshore areas, where they received terrigenous discharge from the Changjiang, and decreased towards the offshore region. BSi and LSi were most abundant at the near bottom layer due to the high sedimentation rates and resuspension of sediment. Diatom blooms occurred in summer with high Chl a concentration in the surface layer, which induced that BSi in the surface layer during summer was obviously higher than that in the surface layer of other seasons. LSi concentration was maximal in autumn and spring and minimum in summer, associated with the seasonal variation of SPM values. Drifting investigation and mesocosm experiments were conducted during dinoflagellate bloom, aiming to understand the effect of nutrients on BSi by changing the phytoplankton composition. The results show that the low dissolved inorganic phosphorus concentration and high molar ratio of N/P (dissolved inorganic nitrogen vs. dissolved inorganic phosphorus), were the important factors for decreasing diatom biomass in the study area, and it would subsequently decrease the BSi concentration in aquatic ecosystem.CAO Lu LIU Sumei REN Jingling 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,4:3
