1Efficacy and safety of metformin and sitagliptin based triple antihyperglycemic therapy(STRATEGY):a multicenter,randomized,controlled,non-inferiority clinical trial显示文摘Despite the current guideline's recommendation of a timely stepwise intensification therapy,the 'clinical inertia',termed as the delayed treatment intensification,commonly exists in the real world,which may be partly due to the relatively little substantial evidence and no clear consensus regarding the efficacy and safety of triple oral agents in patients inadequately controlled with dual therapy.In this clinical trial performed in 237 centers in China,5,535 type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled by previous therapies were treated with a stable metformin/sitagliptin dual therapy for 20 weeks.The patients who did not reach the glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) goal were then further randomized into glimepiride,gliclazide,repaglinide,or acarbose group for an additional 24-week triple therapy.A mean HbAlc reduction of 0.85%was observed when sitagliptin was added to the patients inadequately controlled with metformin in 16 weeks.Further HbAlc reductions in the 24-week triple therapy stage were 0.65%in glimepiride group,0.70%in gliclazide group,0.61%in repaglinide group,and 0.45%in acarbose group.The non-inferiority criterion for primary hypotheses was met for gliclazide and repaglinide,but not for acarbose,compared with glimepiride,when added to metformin/sitagliptin dual therapy.The incidences of adverse events(AEs) were 29.2%in the dual therapy stage and30.3%in the triple therapy stage.Metformin/sitagliptin as baseline therapy,with the addition of a third oral antihyperglycemic agent,including glimepiride,gliclazide,repaglinide,or acarbose,was effective,safe and well-tolerated for achieving an HbAlc<7.0%goal in type 2 diabetic patients inadequately controlled with previous therapies.The timely augmentation of up to three oral antihyperglycemic agents is valid and of important clinical benefit to prevent patients from exposure to unnecessarily prolonged hyperglycemia.Wen Xu Yiming Mu Jiajun Zhao Dalong Zhu Qiuhe Ji Zhiguang Zhou Bin Yao Anhua Mao Samuel S.Engel Bin Zhao Yan Bi Longyi Zeng Xingwu Ran Juming Lu Linong Ji Wenying Yang Weiping Jia Jianping Weng 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,3:19
2Therapeutic angiogenesis induced by human hepatocyte growth factor gene in hindlimb ischemia of dogs显示文摘A preclinical study of treating peripheral ar-tery occlusive disease (PAD) was performed by using ahepatocyte growth factor (HGF) gene-expressing vector,plasmid pUDKH, in a dog model with complete ischemia of one hindlimb. After ligation of femoral artery of onehindlimb, pUDKH was transferred directly into the ischemic limb muscles. The angiogenic activity of the plasmid pUDKH was evaluated. On D 30 after injecting once of pUDKH at different doses into local muscles immediately after opera-tion, the degree of augmentation of collateral vessel forma-tion was significantly greater than that treated by blankvector. In addition, the blood flow rate of femoral artery in dogs treated with pUDKH was recovered on D 90, while the flow rate was only 1/5 to 1/3 in control dogs. The pulse am-plitude of pUDKH-treated dogs was recovered on D 90, but it was hardly detectable in most of the control dogs. The sideeffects of intramuscular transfection of pUDKH were alsoinvestigated, and no significant positive change was found. 3A Dormant Multi-Controller Model for Software Defined Networking显示文摘In order to improve the scalability and reliability of Software Defined Networking(SDN),many studies use multiple controllers to constitute logically centralized control plane to provide load balancing and fail over.In this paper,we develop a flexible dormant multi-controller model based on the centralized multi-controller architecture.The dormant multi-controller model allows part of controllers to enter the dormant state under light traffic condition for saving system cost.Meanwhile,through queueing analysis,various performance measures of the system can be obtained.Moreover,we analyze the real traffic of China Education Network and use the results as the parameters of computer simulation and verify the effects of parameters on the system characteristics.Finally,a total expected cost function is established,and genetic algorithm is employed to find the optimal values of various parameters to minimize system cost for the deployment decision making.FU Yonghong BI Jun WU Jianping CHEN Ze WANG Ke LUO Min 2014China Communications2014,11,3:11

18Multiple Equilibria in a Land–Atmosphere Coupled System显示文摘Many low-order modeling studies indicate that there may be multiple equilibria in the atmosphere induced by thermal and topographic forcings.However,most work uses uncoupled atmospheric model and just focuses on the multiple equilibria with distinct wave amplitude,i.e.,the high-and low-index equilibria.Here,a low-order coupled land–atmosphere model is used to study the multiple equilibria with both distinct wave phase and wave amplitude.The model combines a two-layer quasi-geostrophic channel model and an energy balance model.Highly truncated spectral expansions are used and the results show that there may be two stable equilibria with distinct wave phase relative to the topography:one(the other)has a lower layer streamfunction that is nearly in(out of)phase with the topography,i.e.,the lower layer ridges(troughs)are over the mountains,called ridge-type(trough-type)equilibria.The wave phase of equilibrium state depends on the direction of lower layer zonal wind and horizontal scale of the topography.The multiple wave phase equilibria associated with ridge-and trough-types originate from the orographic instability of the Hadley circulation,which is a pitch-fork bifurcation.Compared with the uncoupled model,the land–atmosphere coupled system produces more stable atmospheric flow and more ridge-type equilibrium states,particularly,these effects are primarily attributed to the longwave radiation fluxes.The upper layer streamfunctions of both ridge-and trough-type equilibria are also characterized by either a high-or low-index flow pattern.However,the multiple wave phase equilibria associated with ridge-and trough-types are more prominent than multiple wave amplitude equilibria associated with high-and low-index types in this study.Dongdong LI Yongli HE Jianping HUANG Lu BI Lei DING 2018Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,6:0
19Research on unified recognition model and algorithm for multi-modal gestures显示文摘In gesture recognition,static gestures,dynamic gestures and trajectory gestures are collectively known as multi-modal gestures.To solve the existing problem in different recognition methods for different modal gestures,a unified recognition algorithm is proposed.The angle change data of the finger joints and the movement of the centroid of the hand were acquired respectively by data glove and Kinect.Through the preprocessing of the multi-source heterogeneous data,all hand gestures were considered as curves while solving hand shaking,and a uniform hand gesture recognition algorithm was established to calculate the Pearson correlation coefficient between hand gestures for gesture recognition.In this way,complex gesture recognition was transformed into the problem of a simple comparison of curves similarities.The main innovations:1) Aiming at solving the problem of multi-modal gesture recognition,an unified recognition model and a new algorithm is proposed;2) The Pearson correlation coefficient for the first time to construct the gesture similarity operator is improved.By testing 50 kinds of gestures,the experimental results showed that the method presented could cope with intricate gesture interaction with the 97.7% recognition rate.Guo Xiaopei Feng Zhiquan Sun Kaiyun Liu Hong Xie Wei Bi Jianping 2019The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2019,26,2:0
20Mongolia Contributed More than 42%of the Dust Concentrations in Northern China in March and April 2023显示文摘Dust storms are one of the most frequent meteorological disasters in China,endangering agricultural production,transportation,air quality,and the safety of people’s lives and property.Against the backdrop of climate change,Mongolia’s contribution to China’s dust cannot be ignored in recent years.In this study,we used the Weather Research and Forecasting model coupled with Chemistry(WRF-Chem),along with dynamic dust sources and the HYSPLIT model,to analyze the contributions of different dust sources to dust concentrations in northern China in March and April 2023.The results show that the frequency of dust storms in 2023 was the highest observed in the past decade.Mongolia and the Taklimakan Desert were identified as two main dust sources contributing to northern China.Specifically,Mongolia contributed more than 42%of dust,while the Taklimakan Desert accounted for 26%.A cold high-pressure center,a cold front,and a Mongolian cyclone resulted in the transport of dust aerosols from Mongolia and the Taklimakan Desert to northern China,where they affected most parts of the region.Moreover,two machine learning methods[the XGBoost algorithm and the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique(SMOTE)]were used to forecast the dust storms in March 2023,based on ground observations and WRF-Chem simulations over East Asia.XGBoost-SMOTE performed well in predicting hourly PM10 concentrations in China in March 2023,with a mean absolute error of 33.8μg m−3 and RMSE of 54.2μg m−3.Siyu CHEN Dan ZHAO Jianping HUANG Jiaqi HE Yu CHEN Junyan CHEN Hongru BI Gaotong LOU Shikang DU Yue ZHANG Fan YANG 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,9:0
