Cerium and ruthenium co-doped La_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)FeO_(3-δ) as a high-efficiency electrode for symmetrical solid oxide fuel cell显示文摘Symmetrical solid oxide fuel cells(SSOFCs)could be alternative energy conversion devices due to their simple fabrication process and low cost.Herein, perovskite La_(0.6)Ce_(0.1)Sr_(0.3)Fe_(0.95)Ru_(0.05O3-δ)(LCSFR)was synthesized and evaluated as a high-performance electrode for SSOFCs based on the electrolyte of La_(0.9)Sr_(0.1)Ga_(0.8)Mg_(0.2)O_(3-δ)(LSGM).LCSFR retains their stable perovskite crystal structure in both reducing and oxidizing atmospheres, though a minor amount of LaSrFeO4 phase is present under reducing conditions.Morphology investigation shows that homogeneously dispersed Ru metallic nanoparticles are exsolved on the surface of LCSFR after being reduced. The polarization resistance(Rp)of LCSFR-CGO(Ce_(0.9)Gd_(0.1O2-δ))is about 0.11Ω·cm^(2)at 800℃in air, while the value of Rp for LCSFR-CGO in wet H_(2)(3%H_(2)O)increases up to 0.32Ω·cm^(2).The symmetrical LCSFR-CGOILSGMILCSFR-CGO cell demonstrates a performance with an open circuit potential(OCV)of 1.07 V and a maximum peak power density of 904 mW/cm^(2)at 800℃using wet H2 as the fuel. This high performance indicates that LCSFR is a candidate electrode for SSOFCs. | Junkai Wang Lei Fu Jiaming Yang Ke Wu Jun Zhou Kai Wu | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,9: | 1
Luminescence interference-free lifetime nanothermometry pinpoints in vivo temperature显示文摘Luminescence nanothermometry makes non-invasive and real-time temperature readings possible in living animals. However, the spectral fluctuation in tissues and fluids,as well as the interaction between fluorophores and environment hinders accuracy of the thermometry. Here,we report a luminescence lifetime-based nanothermometry which specifically addresses this problem.A temporal based calibration(lifetime sensing)in the NIR range,an endogenous thermal response as well as a polymer encapsulation evading environmental factors, altogether help to pinpoint temperature in vivo. Thanks to the highly condensed NdYb ions in a well-protected tiny core-shell nanocrystal(overall 11 nm),a temperature sensitivity about 2.07%K^(-1)(with 5%Yb^(3+)doped nanoparticles)and an accuracy of 0.27 K(with 25%Yb^(3+)doped nanoparticles)in biological fluids are achieved.Hopefully, combining thermally activated energy transfer nanothermometer with anti-interference lifetime thermometry would provide a more accurate temperature measurement for biological and preclinical studies. | Mengya Kong Yuyang Gu Yingjie Chai Jiaming Ke Yulai Liu Xincheng Xu Zhanxian Li Wei Feng Fuyou Li | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,6: | 1
Antioxidant biocompatible composite collagen dressing for diabetic wound healing in rat model显示文摘Associated with persistent oxidative stress, altered inflammatory responses, poor angiogenesis and epithelization, wound healing in diabetic patients is impaired.N-acetylcysteine(NAC)is reported to resist excess reactive oxygen species(ROS)production, prompt angiogenesis and maturation of the epidermis.Studies have revealed that graphene oxide(GO)can regulate cellular behavior and form cross-links with naturally biodegradable polymers such as collagen(COL)to construct composite scaffolds. Here,we reported a COL-based implantable scaffold containing a mixture of GO capable of the sustained delivery of NAC to evaluate the wound healing in diabetic rats. The morphological, physical characteristics, biocompatibility and NAC release profile of the GO-COL-NAC(GCN)scaffold were evaluated in vitro.Wound healing studies were performed on a 20mm dorsal full-skin defect of streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic rats. The injured skin tissue was removed at the 18th day post-surgery for histological analysis and determination of glutathione peroxidase(GPx),catalase(CAT)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity. In diabetic rats,we confirmed that the GCN scaffold presented a beneficial effect in enhancing the wound healing process.Additionally, due to the sustained release of NAC,the scaffold may potentially induce the antioxidant defense system, upregulating the expression levels of the antioxidant enzymes in the wound tissue. The findings revealed that the antioxidant biocompatible composite collagen dressing could not only deliver NAC in situ for ROS inhibition but also promote the wound healing process. This scaffold with valuable therapy potential might enrich the approaches for surgeon in diabetic wound treatment in the future. | Bei Qian Jialun Li Ke Guo Nengqiang Guo Aimei Zhong Jie Yang Jiecong Wang Peng Xiao Jiaming Sun Lingyun Xiong | 2021 | Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,2: | 1
Preliminary marine gravity field from HY-2A/GM altimeter data显示文摘HY-2 A(Haiyang-2 A),launched in 2011,is the first ocean dynamic environment satellite of China and is equipped with a radar altimeter as one of the primary payloads.HY-2 A shifted the drift orbit in March 2016 and has been accumulating geodetic mission(GM)data for more than three years with 168-day cycle. In this paper,we present the preliminary gravity field inverted by the HY-2 A/GM data from March 2016 to December 2017 near Taiwan(21°–26°N,119°–123°E).The gravity anomaly is computed by Inverse Vening Meinesz(IVM)formula with a onedimensional FFT method during remove-restore procedure with the EGM2008 gravity model as the reference field. For comparison,CryoSat-2 altimeter data are used to inverse the gravity field near Taiwan Island by the same method.Comparing with the gravity field derived from CryoSat-2,a good agreement between the two data sets is found. The global ocean gravity models and National Geophysical Data Center(NGDC)shipboard gravity data also are used to assess the performance of HY-2 A/GM data. The evaluations show that HY-2 A and CryoSat-2 are at the same level in terms of gravity field recovery and the HY-2 A/GM altimeter-derived gravity field has an accuracy of 2.922 mGal.Therefore,we can believe that HY-2 A will be a new reliable data source for marine gravity field inversion and has the potentiality to improve the accuracy and resolution of the global marine gravity field. | Qiankun Liu Ke Xu Maofei Jiang Jiaming Wang | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,7: | 1
Deep learning quantified mucus-tumor ratio predicting survival of patients with colorectal cancer using whole-slide images显示文摘Background:In colorectal cancer(CRC),mucinous adenocarcinoma differs from other adenocarcinomas in gene-phenotype,morphology,and prognosis. However, mucinous components are present in a large number of adenocarcinomas, and the prognostic value of mucus proportion has not been investigated.Artificial intelligence provides a way to quantify mucus proportion on whole-slide images(WSIs)accurately. We aimed to quantify mucus proportion by deep learning and further investigate its prognostic value in two CRC patient cohorts. Methods:Deep learning was used to segment WSIs stained with hematoxylin and eosin.Mucus-tumor ratio(MTR)was defined as the proportion of mucinous component in the tumor area.A training cohort(N=419)and a validation cohort(N=315)were used to evaluate the prognostic value of MTR.Survival analysis was performed using the Cox proportional hazard model.Result:Patients were stratified tomucus-low andmucus-high groups, with 24.1%as the threshold. In the training cohort, patients with mucus-high had unfavorable outcomes(hazard ratio for high vs.low 1.88,95%confidence interval 1.18–2.99,P=0.008),with 5-year overall survival rates of 54.8%and 73.7%in mucus-high and mucus-lowgroups,respectively.The resultswere confirmed in the validation cohort(2.09,1.21–3.60,0.008;62.8%vs.79.8%).The prognostic value of MTR was maintained in multivariate analysis for both cohorts. Conclusion:The deep learning quantified MTR was an independent prognostic factor in CRC.With the advantages of advanced efficiency and high consistency, our method is suitable for clinical application and promotes precision medicine development. | Ke Zhao Lin Wu Yanqi Huang Su Yao Zeyan Xu Huan Lin Huihui Wang Yanting Liang Yao Xu Xin Chen Minning Zhao Jiaming Peng Yuli Huang Changhong Liang Zhenhui Li Yong Li Zaiyi Liu | 2021 | Precision Clinical Medicine2021,4,1: | 0
Reversibly immortalized keratinocytes(iKera)facilitate re-epithelization and skin wound healing:Potential applications in cell-based skin tissue engineering显示文摘Skin injury is repaired through a multi-phase wound healing process of tissue granulation and re-epithelialization.Any failure in the healing process may lead to chronic non-healing wounds or abnormal scar formation.Although significant progress has been made in developing novel scaffolds and/or cell-based therapeutic strategies to promote wound healing, effective management of large chronic skin wounds remains a clinical challenge.Keratinocytes are critical to re-epithelialization and wound healing. Here,we investigated whether exogenous keratinocytes,in combination with a citrate-based scaffold, enhanced skin wound healing. We first established reversibly immortalized mouse keratinocytes(iKera),and confirmed that the iKera cells expressed keratinocyte markers, and were responsive to UVB treatment, and were non-tumorigenic.In a proof-of-principle experiment,we demonstrated that iKera cells embedded in citrate-based scaffold PPCN provided more effective re-epithelialization and cutaneous wound healing than that of either PPCN or iKera cells alone,in a mouse skin wound model. Thus, these results demonstrate that iKera cells may serve as a valuable skin epithelial source when, combining with appropriate biocompatible scaffolds,to investigate cutaneous wound healing and skin regeneration. | Jiamin Zhong Hao Wang Ke Yang Huifeng Wang Chongwen Duan Na Ni Liqin An Yetao Luo Piao Zhao Yannian Gou Shiyan Sheng Deyao Shi Connie Chen William Wagstaff b Bryce Hendren-Santiago b Rex C.Haydon b Hue H.Luu b Russell R.Reid Sherwin HHo Guillermo A.Ameer Le Shen Tong-Chuan He Jiaming Fan | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,3: | 0
