1中国与西伯利亚黄土磁化率古气候记录-氧化和还原条件下的两种成土模式分析显示文摘近20多年来随着中国黄土深入研究,揭示了中国黄土地层磁化率与成土古气候温湿程度基本成正比例关系,黄土地层磁化率也因此成为一个重要的古气候参考指标在第四纪古气候研究中,不仅在黄土堆积物而且也在湖相和海相沉积物中广泛应用.但是中国黄土地层磁化率与古土壤成壤强度(古气候温湿程度)呈正比的模式却不是到处都适用,黄土高原的周边地区就有不少例外的报道.而西伯利亚和阿拉斯加黄土则显示出另一极端的情形,一个完全相反的磁化率特点:在气候干冷期的黄土层获高值,而在气候温湿期的古土壤层获低值.过去的研究一直认为,其磁化率主要是反映古风力大小的变化,与成土作用基本无关.磁学测量研究发现,西伯利亚黄土和古土壤的差别,不仅有颗粒从大到小的变化,而且还有矿物组分变化:如磁赤铁矿从多到少,最后完全消失并取而代之出现了完全不同热磁行为的另一种矿物.这种矿物相变现象难以用单纯的风力强弱来解释.说明中国黄土和西伯利亚黄土可能存在两种不同的机制模式:中国黄土高原大部分处于蒸发量大于降雨量的干旱氧化环境,适当的水分或降雨有利于细小的磁铁矿和磁赤铁矿的形成,使得磁化率与古气候呈正比.而西伯利亚以及相应的高纬度地区,地理上属苔原或苔缘地区,湿润是该区域基本特点.间冰期更加温湿的气候使其湿润增加以致过剩,导致地表成土环境向还原方向移动.它使得喜氧化的强磁性矿物磁赤铁矿和磁铁矿渐趋不稳定,并逐渐转化形成适合其还原环境的弱磁性矿物如褐铁矿或其他铁的硫化物.间冰期气候越潮湿,还原程度也越高,强磁性矿物就被损耗得越多.正是这种高纬度的成土作用可能是导致其古土壤磁化率比黄土更低的主导因素之一.刘秀铭 刘东生 夏敦胜 HESSE Paul JIRI Chlachula 王冠 2007中国科学(D辑)2007,37,10:75
2Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome显示文摘Human intestinal microbiota create a complex polymi-crobial ecology. This is characterised by its high population density, wide diversity and complexity of interaction. Any dysbalance of this complex intestinal microbiome, both qualitative and quantitative, might have serious health consequence for a macro-organism, including small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome (SIBO).SIBO is defined as an increase in the number and/or alteration in the type of bacteria in the upper gastro-intestinal tract. There are several endogenous defence mechanisms for preventing bacterial overgrowth: gastric acid secretion, intestinal motility, intact ileo-caecal valve, immunoglobulins within intestinal secretion and bacte-riostatic properties of pancreatic and biliary secretion. Aetiology of SIBO is usually complex, associated with disorders of protective antibacterial mechanisms (e.g. achlorhydria, pancreatic exocrine insuff iciency, immuno-deficiency syndromes), anatomical abnormalities (e.g. small intestinal obstruction, diverticula, f istulae, surgical blind loop, previous ileo-caecal resections) and/or motility disorders (e.g. scleroderma, autonomic neuropathy in diabetes mellitus, post-radiation enteropathy, small intestinal pseudo-obstruction). In some patients more than one factor may be involved. Symptoms related to SIBO are bloating, diarrhoea, malabsorption, weight loss and malnutrition. The gold standard for diagnosing SIBO is still microbial investigation of jejunal aspirates. Noninvasive hydrogen and methane breath tests are most commonly used for the diagnosis of SIBO using glucose or lactulose. Therapy for SIBO must be com-plex, addressing all causes, symptoms and complica-tions, and fully individualised. It should include treatment of the underlying disease, nutritional support and cyclical gastro-intestinal selective antibiotics. 3Two pedogenic models for paleoclimatic records of magnetic susceptibility from Chinese and Siberian loess显示文摘The magnetic susceptibility (MS) of Chinese loess showing a general proportional relationship to pedogenic grade has been widely recognized and used for reconstruction of paleoclimate by Quaternary scientists. The in-situ pedogenic enhancement of ferrimagnetic content is normally believed to be the main reason for the increase of susceptibility in soil units. However, this pattern of high magnetic susceptibility in palaeosols, and low values in loess, are not replicated in some loess deposits. Siberian loess deposits display a completely opposite susceptibility behavior: high values in loess and low values in palaeosols. This inverse relationship has been explained by the idea that magnetic susceptibility is reflecting the magnitude of an aeolian ferrimagnetic component of consistent mineralogy, the grain size of which is related to average wind velocity. Our magnetic study of Siberian samples in this paper suggests that there are notable differences in magnetic properties between Siberian loess and developed palaeosols, not only in magnetic grain-size and concentration but also in magnetic mineralogy. This evidence is difficult to explain fully through variation in wind strength alone, but implies that the low magnetic susceptibility values in the Siberian paleosol units are a reflection, at least in part, of the alteration of the ferrimagnetic content by post-depositional processes. The Loess Plateau is a very arid area where potential evaporation is always higher than precipitation; pedogenesis occurs under dry oxidising conditions. The Siberian Kurtak region is located on the edge of the tundra where it is always wet and saturation during interglacials will lead to a reducing pedogenic environment. Ferrimagnetic minerals under this condition will be destroyed, resulting in lower magnetic susceptibility. 4Distinct gut microbiota profiles in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis and ulcerative colitis显示文摘AIM To characterize the gut bacterial microbiota of patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSC) and ulcerative colitis(UC).METHODS Stool samples were collected and relevant clinical data obtained from 106 study participants, 43 PSC patients with(n = 32) or without(n = 11) concomitant inflammatory bowel disease, 32 UC patients, and 31 healthy controls. The V3 and V4 regions of the 16 S ribosomal RNA gene were sequenced on Illumina Mi Seq platform to cover low taxonomic levels. Data were further processed in QIIME employing Ma As Lin and LEf Se tools for analysis of the output data.RESULTS Microbial profiles in both PSC and UC were characterized by low bacterial diversity and significant change in global microbial composition. Rothia, Enterococcus, Streptococcus, Veillonella, and three other genera were markedly overrepresented in PSC regardless of concomitant inflammatory bowel disease(IBD). Rothia, Veillonella and Streptococcus were tracked to the species level to identify Rothia mucilaginosa, Streptococcus infantus, S. alactolyticus, and S. equi along with Veillonella parvula and V. dispar. PSC was further characterized by decreased abundance of Adlercreutzia equolifaciens and Prevotella copri. Decrease in genus Phascolarctobacterium was linked to presence of colonic inflammation regardless of IBD phenotype. Akkermansia muciniphila, Butyricicoccus pullicaecorum and Clostridium colinum were decreased in UC along with genus Roseburia. 5The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 6Buried bumper syndrome:A complication of percutaneousendoscopic gastrostomy显示文摘Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy(PEG) is a widely used method of nutrition delivery for patients with longterm insufficiency of oral intake. The PEG complication rate varies from 0.4% to 22.5% of cases, with minor complications being three times more frequent. Buried bumper syndrome(BBS) is a severe complication of this method, in which the internal fixation device migrates alongside the tract of the stoma outside the stomach. Excessive compression of tissue between the external and internal fixation device of the gastrostomy tube is considered the main etiological factor leading to BBS. Incidence of BBS is estimated at around 1%(0.3%-2.4%). Inability to insert, loss of patency and leakage around the PEG tube are considered to be a typical symptomatic triad. Gastroscopy is indicated in all cases in which BBS is suspected. The depth of disc migration in relation to the lamina muscularis propria of the stomach is critical for further therapy and can be estimated by endoscopic or transabdominal ultrasound. BBS can be complicated by gastrointestinal bleeding, perforation, peritonitis, intra-abdominal and abdominal wall abscesses, or phlegmon, and these complications can lead to fatal outcomes. The most important preventive measure is adequate positioning of the external bolster. A conservative approach should be applied only in patients with high operative risk and dismal prognosis. Choice of the method of release is based on the type of the PEG set and depth of disc migration. A disc retained inside the stomach and completely covered by the overgrowing tissue can be released using some type of endoscopic dissection technique(needle knife, argon plasma coagulation, or papillotome through the cannula). Proper patient selection and dissection of the overgrowing tissue are the major determinants for successful endoscopic therapy. 8Prevalence and determinants of delayed gastric emptying in hospitalised Type 2 diabetic patients显示文摘AIM: To determine the prevalence of delayed gastric emptying (GE) in older patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. METHODS: One hundred and forty seven patients with Type 2 diabetes, of whom 140 had been hospitalised, mean age 62.3 ± 8.0 years, HbA1c 9.1% ± 1.9%, treated with either oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin were studied. GE of a solid meal (scintigraphy), autonomic nerve function, upper gastrointestinal symptoms, acute and chronic glycemic control were evaluated. Gastric emptying results were compared to a control range of hospitalised patients who did not have diabetes. RESULTS: Gastric emptying was delayed (T50 > 85 min) in 17.7% patients. Mean gastric emptying was slower in females (T50 72.1 ± 72.1 min vs 56.9 ± 68.1 min, P = 0.02) and in those reporting nausea (112.3 ± 67.3 vs 62.7 ± 70.0 min, P < 0.01) and early satiety (114.0 ± 135.2 vs 61.1 ± 62.6 min, P = 0.02). There was no correlation between GE with age, body weight, duration of diabetes, neuropathy, current glycemia or the total score for upper gastrointestinal symptoms. CONCLUSION: Prolonged GE occurs in about 20% of hospitalised elderly patients with Type 2 diabetes when compared to hospitalised patients who do not have diabetes. 10Comparative analysis of clinicopathological correlations of cyclooxygenase-2 expression in resectable pancreatic cancer显示文摘AIM:To perform a comparative analysis of clinicopathological correlations of cyclooxygenase2 (COX2) expression in pancreatic cancer, examined by monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.METHODS: The COX2 expression in 85 resection specimens of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma was immunohistochemically examined using both monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. The final immunoscores were obtained by multiplying the percentage of positive cells with the numeric score reflecting the staining intensity.COX2 expression levels were classified into three categories (0, 1+, and 2+) and the clinicopathological correlations were statistically evaluated and analyzed.RESULTS: The positive tumor expression rates of COX2 were 80.5% using monoclonal antibody and 69.4% using polyclonal antibody. In the KaplanMeier analysis, no significant correlations were found between levels of COX2 expression and overall survival (OS), but trends to longer OS were found in COX2 negative cases using monoclonal antibody. Significantly longer disease free survival was revealed in COX2 negative cases using monoclonal antibody (P = 0.019). No correlations between COX2 expression levels and grade (G), tumor (T) status and nodal (N) status were demonstrated. Low histological grade showed a strong association with a longer OS (P < 0.001). Correlation of survival and T status revealed a shorter OS in T3 tumors, but the results reached only marginal statistical significance (P = 0.070). In the multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression model, histological grade, T and N status remained valuable predictors of a worse survival with borderline significance for T [hazards ratio (HR) = 4.18 for G (if G = 3, P < 0.001); HR = 1.64 for T (if T = 3, P = 0.065); HR = 2.53 for N (if N = 1, P = 0.006)]. Higher grade, T or N status was associated with a worse OS. 12Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon in rain and street runoff in Amman, Jordan显示文摘Concentrations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) were determined in the rain and street runoff samples from two sites in the vicinity of Amman City during the pluvial period 1999—2000. The results showed that elevated levels of PAHs were detected in the city center(site 1) than the residential area(site 2) and that the levels were higher in street runoff than rain samples of the same sites. The highest concentration of PAHs in both street runoff and rain samples were observed in the first rainy month(November 1999) which indicated a wash out effect of PAHs originating from vehicular emission accumulated during the long dry summer season before sampling. Within the investigated cold winter seasons, fluctuations in PAHs concentration were observed. The variation was attributed to the fossil combustion for heating purposes and to intervals between rainfalls: as the longer the intervals between rains were, the higher the PAH concentration were. Removal of PAHs from the atmosphere through precipitation over the investigated period varied with time and places depending on the amount of rainfall where higher rainfall removed higher amount of PAHs from the atmosphere. 17Helicobacter pylori infection and other bacteria in pancreatic cancer and autoimmune pancreatitis显示文摘Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)is an infectious agent influencing as much as 50%of the world’s population.It is the causative agent for several diseases,most especially gastric and duodenal peptic ulcer,gastric adenocarcinoma and mucosaassociated lymphoid tissue lymphoma of the stomach.A number of other,extragastric manifestations also are associated with H.pylori infection.These include neurological disorders,such as Alzheimer’s disease,demyelinating multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.There is also evidence for a relationship between H.pylori infection and such dermatological diseases as psoriasis and rosacea as well as a connection with infection and open-angle glaucoma.Generally little is known about the relationship between H.pylori infection and diseases of the pancreas.Most evidence about H.pylori and its potential role in the development of pancreatic diseases concerns pancreatic adenocarcinoma and autoimmune forms of chronic pancreatitis.There is data(albeit not fully consistent)indicating modestly increased pancreatic cancer risk in H.pylori-positive patients.The pathogenetic mechanism of this increase is not yet fully elucidated,but several theories have been proposed.Reduction of antral Dcells in H.pylori-positive patients causes a suppression of somatostatin secretion that,in turn,stimulates increased secretin secretion.That stimulates pancreatic growth and thus increases the risk of carcinogenesis.Alternatively,H.pylori,as a part of microbiome dysbiosis and the so-called oncobiome,is proven to be associated with pancreatic adenocarcinoma development via the promotion of cellular proliferation.The role of H.pylori in the inflammation characteristic of autoimmune pancreatitis seems to be explained by a mechanism of molecular mimicry among several proteins(mostly enzymes)of H.pylori and pancreatic tissue.Patients with autoimmune pancreatitis often show positivity for antibodies against H.pylori proteins.H.pylori,as a part of microbiome dysbiosis,also is viewed as a potential trigger of autoimmune inflammation of the pancreas.It is precisely these relationships(and associated equivocal conclusions)that constitute a center of attention among pancreatologists,immunologists and pathologists.In order to obtain clear and valid results,more studies on sufficiently large cohorts of patients are needed.The topic is itself sufficiently significant to draw the interest of clinicians and inspire further systematic research.Next-generation sequencing could play an important role in investigating the microbiome as a potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for pancreatic cancer.Lumir Kunovsky Petr Dite Petr Jabandziev Jiri Dolina Jitka Vaculova Martin Blaho Martina Bojkova Jana Dvorackova Magdalena Uvirova Zdenek Kala Jan Trna 2021World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2021,13,8:5

19Clinical outcomes of radiofrequency catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation in octogenarians lO-year experience of a one high-volume center显示文摘Background Prevalence of atrial fibrillation (AF) increases with age. Radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) is an establishedtreatment option superior to antiarrhythmics (AAs). In this study, we investigated safety and efficacy of RFCA of AF in octogenarians.Methods From our database, we extracted procedural and follow-up data for patients 〉 80 years with symptomatic AF undergoing RFCAand compared this population to RFCA patients 〈 50 years. All patients underwent pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) supplemented by linearlesions in PVI-nonresponders. Arrhythmia-free survival was assessed using seven day Holter every three months post procedure. All patientscompleted their 12 months follow-up. Results Fifty patients aged ≥80 years (80.5 ± 1.6 years) were compared to 259 patients aged 〈 50years (43.5±5.5 years). The RFCA complication rate did not vary between groups. No differences in procedural characteristics were seenafter being analyzed by type of AF. Among patients with paroxysmal AF, 71.4% octogenarian vs. 84.7% young patients was free of anyarrhythmia, without AAs, after single procedure. For non-paroxysmal AF, arrhythmia-free survival without AAs, was considerably lower(58.6% octogenarians vs. 81.2% younger patients, P = 0.023). If AAs were used, arrhythmia-free survival for paroxysmal AF increased to90.5% and 92.1% in octogenarians and younger patients, respectively; and in non-paroxysmal AF it increased to 79.3% vs. 88.4%. ConclusionsRFCA is a safe and effective strategy to achieve normal sinus rhythm in a highly selected group of octogenarians. Paroxysmal AF ablation inoctogenarians has similar clinical effectiveness as that seen in much younger patients. 20Exploring the depths of the global earth observation system of systems显示文摘This paper explores for the first time the contents,structure and relationships across institutions and disciplines of a global Big Earth Data cyber-infrastructure:the Global Earth Observation System of System(GEOSS).The analysis builds on 1.8 million metadata records harvested in GEOSS.Because this set includes almost all the major large data collections in GEOSS,the analysis represents more than 80%of all the data made available through this global system.We explore two major aspects:the collaborative networks and the thematic coverage in GEOSS.The first connects the contributing organisations through the more than 200,000 keywords used in the systems,and then explores who is citing whom,a proxy for of institutional thickness.The thematic coverage is analysed through neural network algorithms,first on the keywords,and then on the corpus of 653 million lemmatised lower case words built from the titles and abstracts of all 1.8 million metadata records.The findings not only give a good overview of the GEOSS data universe,but offer immediate priorities on how to increase the usability of GEOSS through improved data management,and the opportunity to augment the metadata with high level concept that synthetise well the contents of the data-set.Max Craglia Jiri Hradec Stefano Nativi Mattia Santoro 2017Big Earth Data2017,1,1:5
