1Relative importance of climate factors and human activities in impacting vegetation dynamics during 2000–2015 in the Otindag Sandy Land,northern China显示文摘In recent years, there has been increasing research interests in differentiating the relative importance of climate factors and human activities in impacting vegetation dynamics. In this study, based on residual trend method, we used MOD13A3(MODIS vegetation index product), MCD12Q1(MODIS land cover product) and meteorological datasets to differentiate the relative importance of climate factors and human activities in impacting vegetation dynamics during 2000–2015 in the Otindag Sandy Land, northern China. Results show that during the study period(2000–2015), the overall vegetation condition had improved in the Otindag Sandy Land. The driving forces of vegetation dynamics differed spatially in the whole study area over the study period. The area with vegetation degradation solely resulted from human activities accounted for 8.23% of the study area, while the area with vegetation degradation resulted from others(including climate factors and combination of climate factors and human activities) occupied 1.53%. The area with vegetation recovery benefitted from human activities occurred over 26.02% of the study area; the area benefitted from climate factors accounted for 23.69%; and the area benefitted from both climate factors and human activities occupied 37.74%. 5Metformin capped Cu_(2)(OH)_(3)Cl nanosheets for chemodynamic wound disinfection显示文摘Recently,the development of chemodynamic therapy(CDT)offers a potential approach for fighting bacteria and treating infectious diseases,in which those CDT nanoagents can catalyze the generation of hydroxyl radicals(·OH)to destroy bacteria.In this work,to improve the efficiency of CDT,we have designed a new kind of metformin(Met)-capped two-dimensional Cu_(2)(OH)_(3)Cl nanosheets(CuOHCl-Met NSs)with good monodispersity,highly positive charge,and good biocompatibility for improving antibacterial effect and accelerating wound healing.With the capped Met,CuOHCl-Met NSs can effectively kill bacteria under a low concentration(6μg·mL^(−1))and a short treatment time(in 15 min),showing great advantages over the counterpart without Met.In vivo results demonstrated that CuOHCl-Met NSs accelerated the tissue regeneration of staphylococcus aureus-infected dermal wounds.This study provides a new pathway for improving efficiency of CDT nanoagent through using old drug.Xueyu Wang Shaobo Wang Jiao Gao Shuncheng Yao Teng Xu Yunchao Zhao Zeyu Zhang Tian Huang Shu Yan Linlin Li 2023Nano Research2023,16,3:0
6Pronounced interfacial interaction in icosahedral Au@C_(60) core-shell nanostructure for boosting direct plasmonic photocatalysis under alkaline condition显示文摘The unique hot carrier-driven direct plasmonic photocatalysis of coinage metal nanomaterials(NMs)via energetic localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)in visible-light region has been explored in recent years.However,the low photoinduced electron transfer efficiency and insufficient separation of electronhole pairs would severely preclude their widespread practical applications.Herein,we demonstrate an interesting plasmonic photocatalyst based on the construction of icosahedral(Ih)Au@C_(60) core-shell NMs,taking advantage of specific delocalizedπelectrons structure of a tight C_(60) shell and enhanced LSPR property of Ih Au core.Then,the pronounced interfacial interaction at junction region endows the obtained Au@C_(60) NMs with an outstanding photoinduced hot carrier-transmission during photocatalytic reaction,facilitating a remarkably higher(1.89 times)photocatalytic activity toward visible-light driven degradation of crystal violet(CV)dyes,as compared to bare Au NMs.Impressively,the photocatalytic activity of Ih Au@C_(60) NMs can be effectively optimized by changing the p H value of reaction solution,with the kinetic rate constant reaching the maximum value of 0.179 min^(-1) in pH011.4 solution,while 0.005 min^(-1) at pH03.0.Moreover,due to the protection of a tight C_(60) shell,the Ih Au@C_(60) NMs also possess excellent photocatalytic stability/reusability in recycling runs,holding great potential for the design of robust and high-performance plasmonic photocatalysts in repeated practical applications.Yue Tian Qingqiang Cui Linlin Xu Anxin Jiao Shuang Li Xuelin Wang Ming Chen 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,35:0

8Potential responses of vegetation to atmospheric aerosols in arid and semi-arid regions of Asia显示文摘Changes in atmospheric aerosols have profound effects on ecosystem productivity,vegetation growth and activity by directly and indirectly influencing climate and environment conditions.However,few studies have focused on the effects of atmospheric aerosols on vegetation growth and activity in the vulnerable arid and semi-arid regions,which are also the source areas of aerosols.Using the datasets of aerosol optical depth(AOD),normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and multiple climatic variables including photosynthetically active radiation(PAR),surface solar radiation(SSR),surface air temperature(TEM)and total precipitation(PRE),we analyzed the potential responses of vegetation activity to atmospheric aerosols and their associated climatic factors in arid and semi-arid regions of Asia from 2005 to 2015.Our results suggested that areas with decreasing growing-season NDVI were mainly observed in regions with relatively sparse vegetation coverage,while AOD tended to increase as NDVI decreased in these regions.Upon further analysis,we found that aerosols might exert a negative influence on vegetation activity by reducing SSR,PAR and TEM,as well as suppressing PRE in most arid and semi-arid regions of Asia.Moreover,the responses of atmospheric aerosols on vegetation activity varied among different growing stages.At the early growing stage,higher concentration of aerosol was accompanied with suppressed vegetation growth by enhancing cooling effects and reducing SSR and PAR.At the middle growing stage,aerosols tended to alter microphysical properties of clouds with suppressed PRE,thereby restricting vegetation growth.At the late growing stage,aerosols exerted significantly positive influences on vegetation activity by increasing SSR,PAR and TEM in regions with high anthropogenic aerosols.Overall,at different growing stages,aerosols could influence vegetation activity by changing different climatic factors including SSR,PAR,TEM and PRE in arid and semi-arid regions of Asia.This study not only clarifies the impacts of aerosols on vegetation activity in source areas,but also explains the roles of aerosols in climate.JIAO Linlin WANG Xunming CAI Diwen HUA Ting 2021Journal of Arid Land2021,13,5:0
9A novel feature susceptibility approach for a PEMFC control system based on an improved XGBoost-Boruta algorithm显示文摘Data-driven modelling methods are being developed in the quest to achieve more accurate performance prediction of protons exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) systems in response to their complicated physicochemical phenomena. However, there is little research in this field detailing the pre-processing and selection of balance of plants (BOP) features for the input layer of system performance prediction at different current densities. Furthermore, most of the previous research applies neural networks based on simulation data rather than real-time bench or vehicle operation datasets which leads to low robustness and unreliable practical results. This paper details the application of a novel algorithm denoted XGBoost-Boruta, which utilises the combination of an ensemble learning approach and a wrapping approach, to improve the robustness of feature selection and to increase the accuracy and robustness of PEMFC system performance prediction. By introduction of the Z score and shadow features to eliminate the randomness of conventional ensemble learning methods, seven key controllable BOP variables of the hydrogen anode, air cathode and cooling subsystems are selected as the original input variables to determine their dependency on the stack voltage. Two case studies are presented for verification and validation of the proposed algorithm based on the real-time dataset of bench experimental data and data obtained from heavy truck operation at current densities ranging from 100 to 1500 mA/cm2. 10Autophagy induced by human adenovirus B7 structural protein VI inhibits viral replication显示文摘Human adenovirus B7(HAdV-B7)causes severe acute lower respiratory tract infections in children.However,neither the child-specific antivirals or vaccines are available,nor the pathogenesis is clear.Autophagy,as part of innate immunity,plays an important role in resistance to viral infection by degrading the virus and promoting the development of innate and adaptive immunity.This study provided evidence that HAdV-B7 infection induced complete autophagic flux,and the pharmacological induction of autophagy decreased HAdV-B7 replication.In this process,the host protein Bcl2-associated athanogene 3(BAG3)mediated autophagy to inhibit the replication of HAdV-B7 by binding to the PPSY structural domain of viral protein pVI through its WW structural domain.These findings further our understanding of the host immune response during viral infection and will help to develop broad anti-HAdV therapies.Linlin Zhang Yali Duan Wei Wang Qi Li Jiao Tian Yun Zhu Ran Wang Zhengde Xie 2023Virologica Sinica2023,38,5:0
11Clinical epidemiology and disease burden of adenoviral encephalitis in hospitalized children in China:A nationwide cross-sectional study显示文摘Importance:Adenovirus encephalitis is a significant infectious disease of the central nervous system that commonly affects children under the age of 5 and has a profound impact on the health of infants and young children throughout China.National multicenter epidemiological studies have significant public health implications.Objective:This study aims to report the epidemiology of adenovirus encephalitis in hospitalized children in China,providing valuable guidance for clinicians.Methods:The data utilized in this study were extracted from the comprehensive Futang Update Medical Records database,which comprises discharge medical records collected by 27 tertiary children’s hospitals between January 2016 and December 2018 in China.Specifically,the face sheet of discharge medical records encompassed critical sociodemographic variables and basic medical care details.Results:In this database,a total of 544 children were hospitalized due to adenoviral encephalitis.The male-to-female ratio was 1.62:1,with more boys being affected across different age groups and places of residence.Of the children hospitalized,the highest number of hospitalizations occurred in the 1–3-year age group and the number of hospitalizations decreased each year from 2016 to 2018.The disease exhibits seasonal characteristics with a pronounced peak in the summer months of June and July.While most children(58%)did not have any significant complications,one-third of them developed respiratory complications,including pneumonia and acute bronchitis.The median length of stay for adenoviral encephalitis was 7 days,and the median cost of hospitalization was 2145.56 US dollars.Interpretation:This study highlights the prevalence of adenovirus encephalitis in hospitalized children in China.Children aged 1–3 years were found to be the main demographic hospitalized due to this condition,with boys being significantly more affected than girls.The seasonal variations of adenovirus encephalitis were also found to be significant.Fortunately,the fatality rate associated with this condition was low,and the prognosis was generally favorable.Jiao Tian Xinyu Wang Linlin Zhang Qi Li Guoshuang Feng Yueping Zeng Ran Wang Zhengde Xie 2023Pediatric Investigation2023,7,4:0
