| 1 | Research progress of the fractional Fourier transform in signal processing显示文摘The fractional Fourier transform is a generalization of the classical Fourier transform, which is introduced from the mathematic aspect by Namias at first and has many applications in optics quickly. Whereas its potential appears to have remained largely unknown to the signal processing community until 1990s. The fractional Fourier transform can be viewed as the chirp-basis expansion directly from its definition, but es-sentially it can be interpreted as a rotation in the time-frequency plane, i.e. the unified time-frequency transform. With the order from 0 increasing to 1, the fractional Fourier transform can show the characteristics of the signal changing from the time domain to the frequency domain. In this research paper, the fractional Fourier transform has been com-prehensively and systematically treated from the signal processing point of view. | 3 | A life support-based comprehensive treatment regimen dramatically lowers the in-hospital mortality of patients with fulminant myocarditis: a multiple center study显示文摘Fulminant myocarditis(FM) has unacceptable high mortality. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of a life support-based comprehensive treatment regimen(LSBCTR), a completely novel treatment regimen, for FM. A total of 169 FM patients recruited from January 2008 to December 2018 were divided into two groups: patients receiving LSBCTR(81 cases),which includes(i) mechanical life support(positive pressure respiration, intra-aortic balloon pump with or without extracorporeal membrane oxygenation),(ii) immunomodulation therapy using sufficient doses of glucocorticoids and immunoglobulins, and(iii) application of neuraminidase inhibitors, and those receiving conventional treatment(88 cases). The endpoints were in-hospital death and heart-transplantation. Of all the population, 44 patients(26.0%) died in hospitals. Inhospital mortality was 3.7%(3/81) for LSBCTR group and 46.6%(41/88) for traditional treatment(P<0.001). Early application of LSBCTR, mechanical life support, neuraminidase inhibitors, and immunomodulation therapy significantly contributed to reduction in in-hospital mortality. This study describes a novel treatment regimen for FM patients that dramatically reduces inhospital mortality. | 4 | Ganoderic acid hinders renal fibrosis via suppressing the TGF- β/Smad and MAPK signaling pathways显示文摘Renal fibrosis is considered as the pathway of almost all kinds of chronic kidney diseases(CKD)to the end stage of renal diseases(ESRD).Ganoderic acid(GA)is a group of lanostane triterpenes isolated from Ganoderma lucidum,which has shown a variety of pharmacological activities.In this study we investigated whether GA exerted antirenal fibrosis effect in a unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO)mouse model.After UUO surgery,the mice were treated with GA(3.125,12.5,and 50 mg·kg^−1·d^−1,ip)for 7 or 14 days.Then the mice were sacrificed for collecting blood and kidneys.We showed that GA treatment dose-dependently attenuated UUO-induced tubular injury and renal fibrosis;GA(50 mg·kg^−1·d^−1)significantly ameliorated renal disfunction during fibrosis progression.We further revealed that GA treatment inhibited the extracellular matrix(ECM)deposition in the kidney by suppressing the expression of fibronectin,mainly through hindering the over activation of TGF-β/Smad signaling.On the other hand,GA treatment significantly decreased the expression of mesenchymal cell markers alpha-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)and vimentin,and upregulated E-cadherin expression in the kidney,suggesting the suppression of tubular epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)partially via inhibiting both TGF-β/Smad and MAPK(ERK,JNK,p38)signaling pathways.The inhibitory effects of GA on TGF-β/Smad and MAPK signaling pathways were confirmed in TGF-β1-stimulated HK-2 cell model.GA-A,a GA monomer,was identified as a potent inhibitor on renal fibrosis in vitro.These data demonstrate that GA or GA-A might be developed as a potential therapeutic agent in the treatment of renal fibrosis. | Xiao-qiang Geng Ang Ma Jin-zhao He Liang Wang Ying-li Jia Guang-ying Shao Min Li Hong Zhou Shu-qian Lin Jian-hua Ran Bao-xue Yang | 2020 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,5: | 43 |
| 5 | Experimental Study of the Pressure Fluctuations in a Pump Turbine at Large Partial Flow Conditions显示文摘Frequent shifts of output and operating mode require a pump turbine with excellent stability. Current researches show that large partial flow conditions in pump mode experience positive-slope phenomena with a large head drop. The pressure fluctuation at the positive slope is crucial to the pump turbine unit safety. The operating instabilities at large partial flow conditions for a pump turbine are analyzed. The hydraulic performance of a model pump turbine is tested with the pressure fluctuations measured at unstable operating points near a positive slope in the performance curve. The hydraulic performance tests show that there are two separated positive-slope regions for the pump turbine, with the flow discharge for the first positive slope from 0.85 to 0.91 times that at the maximum efficiency point. The amplitudes of the pressure fluctuations at these unstable large partial flow conditions near the first positive slope are much larger than those at stable operating condtions. A dominant frequency is measured at 0.2 times the impeller rotational frequency in the flow passage near the impeller exit, which is believed to be induced by the rotating stall in the flow passage of the wicket gates. The test results also show hysteresis with pressure fluctuations when the pump turbine is operated near the first positive slope. The hysteresis creates different pressure fluctuations for those operation points even though their flow rates and heads are similar respectively. | 6 | Backstepping design of missile guidance and control based on adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control显示文摘This paper presents an integrated missile guidance and control law based on adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control. The integrated model is formulated as a block-strict-feedback nonlinear system, in which modeling errors, unmodeled nonlinearities, target maneuvers, etc. are viewed as unknown uncertainties. The adaptive nonlinear control law is designed based on backstepping and sliding mode control techniques. An adaptive fuzzy system is adopted to approximate the coupling nonlinear functions of the system, and for the uncertainties, we utilize an online-adaptive control law to estimate the unknown parameters. The stability analysis of the closed-loop system is also conducted. | 8 | Multicenter case-control study of the risk factors for ulcerative colitis in China显示文摘AIM:To evaluate potential risk factors in the development of ulcerative colitis(UC) in China.METHODS:A total of 1308 patients with UC and 1308 age-matched and sex-matched controls were prospectively studied in China.The UC cases were collected from 17 hospitals in China from April 2007 to April 2010.Uniform questionnaires were designed to investigate risk factors including smoking,appendectomy,stress,socio-economic conditions,nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),oral contraceptives,diet,breastfeeding,infections and family sanitary conditions.Group comparisons by each factor were done using simple logistic regression analysis.Conditional logistic regression was used for multivariate analysis.RESULTS:By univariate analysis,the variables predictive of UC included feeling stress,light and heavy alcoholic drinking,spicy food,sugar consumption and infectious diarrhea,while heavy tea intake and tap water consumption were protective against UC.On multivariate analysis,the protective factor for UC was tap water consumption [odds ratios(OR) = 0.424,95%CI:0.302-0.594,P < 0.001];while the potential risk factors for UC were heavy sugar consumption(OR = 1.632,95%CI:1.156-2.305,P < 0.001),spicy food(light intake:OR = 3.329,95%CI:2.282-4.857,P < 0.001;heavy intake:OR = 3.979,95%CI:2.700-5.863,P < 0.001),and often feeling stress(OR = 1.981,95%CI:1.447-2.711,P < 0.001).Other factors,such as smoking habit,appendectomy,breastfeeding,a history of measles,rural or urban residence,education,oral contraceptives,and NSAID use have not been found to have a significant association with the development of UC in the present study.CONCLUSION:Our study showed tap water consumption was a protective factor for UC,while spicy food,heavy sugar consumption and often feeling stress were risk factors for UC in this Chinese population. | Yu-Fang Wang Qin Ou-yang Bing Xia Li-Na Liu Fang Gu Kai-Fang Zhou Qiao Mei Rui-Hua Shi Zhi-Hua Ran Xiao-Di Wang Pin-Jin Hu Kai-Chun Wu Xin-Guang Liu Ying-Lei Miao Ying Han Xiao-Ping Wu Guo-Bing He Jie Zhong Guan-Jian Liu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,11: | 24 |
| 9 | The Lushan M_S7.0 earthquake and activity of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone显示文摘Following the Lushan MS7.0 earthquake on 20 April 2013,a topic of much concern is whether events of MS7 or greater could occur again on the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone.In providing evidence to answer this question,this work analyzes the tectonic relationship between the Lushan event and the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake and the rupture history of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone,through field investigations of active tectonics and paleoearthquake research,and our preliminary conclusions are as follows.The activity of the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone is much different to that of its central section,and the late Quaternary activity has propagated forward to the basin in the east.The seismogenic structure of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake is the central-fore-range fault system,whereas that of the 2013 Lushan event is attributed to the fore-range-range-front fault system,rather than the central fault.The southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone becomes wider towards the south with an increasing number of secondary faults,of which the individual faults exhibit much weaker surface activity.Therefore,this section is not as capable of generating a major earthquake as is the central segment.It is most likely that the 2013 earthquake fills the seismic gap around Lushan on the southern segment of the Longmenshan fault zone. | CHEN LiChun RAN YongKang WANG Hu LI YanBao MA XinQuan | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28: | 24 |

To combat this disease, multiple efforts have been carried out internationally. In this article, we review our long-time effort in identifying the resistance genes and dissecting the resistance mechanisms by both forward and reverse genetics approaches in the last two decades. We present recent progress in resistance QTL identification, candidate functional gene discovery, marker-assisted improvement of FHB resistant varieties, and findings in investigating association of signal molecules, such as Ca^(++),SA, JA, and ET, with FHB response, with the assistance from rapidly growing genomics platforms. | 11 | The Y.D.and climate abrupt events in the early and middle Holocene:Stalagmite oxygen isotope record from Maolan,Guizhou,China显示文摘The isotope records which range from 3.9 kaBP to 15.7 kaBP with an average resolution of 90 a have been obtained from 45 cm to 193.6 cm of the upper part of D4 stalagmite from Dongguo Cave in Libo, Guizhou, by using system TIMS U-series dating and carbon and oxygen stable isotope analyses.The study indicates that the last cold event, the YD (Younger Dryas) event, of the last glacial period was apparently shown in D4 record, which started from 12.80 kaBP and ended in 11.58 kaBP, with a great range of drop in temperature. The end of the last glacial period was consistent with the termination I in oceanic isotope records and was with time limit of 11.3 kaBP. The three most distinct cold events in the early and middle Holocene occurred respectively in 10.91 kaBP, 8.27 kaBP and 4.75 kaBP, with a range of drop in tem- perature reaching 2—5℃. The climate abrupt events in thousand and hundred years scale re- corded in stalagmite δ O can be compared to those in GISP2 ice cores from Greenland in their 18 happening time and the range of their lasting time. The cold events in 8.27 kaBP and 4.75 kaBP can also be compared to CC3 stalagmite records in Ireland, which indicate that climate changes of short range in China monsoon areas, western Europe and polar regions, have the same driv- ing factor. This has a global significance. Since the discretization of the fractional Fourier transform cannot be obtained by directly sampling in time domain and the fractional Fourier domain, the discretization of the fractional Fourier transform has been investigated recently. A summary of discretizations of the fractional Fourier transform developed in the last nearly two decades is presented in this paper. The discretizations include sampling in the fractional Fourier domain, discrete-time fractional Fourier transform, fractional Fourier series, discrete fractional Fourier transform (including 3 main types: linear combination-type; sampling-type; and eigen decomposition-type), and other discrete fractional signal transform. | 13 | Dihydromyricetin inhibits migration and invasion of hepatoma cells through regulation of MMP-9 expression显示文摘AIM:To investigate the effects of dihydromyricetin(DHM)on the migration and invasion of human hepatic cancer cells.METHODS:The hepatoma cell lines SK-Hep-1 and MHCC97L were used in this study.The cells were cultured in RPIM-1640 medium supplemented with 10%fetal bovine serum at 37℃in a humidified 5%CO2incubator.DHM was dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide and diluted to various concentrations in medium before applying to cells.MTT assays were performed to measure the viability of the cells after DHM treatment.Wound healing and Boyden transwell assays were used to assess cancer cell motility.The invasive capacity of cancer cells was measured using Matrigel-coated transwell chambers.Matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-2/9 activity was examined by fluorescence analysis.Western blot was carried out to analyze the expression of MMP-2,MMP-9,p-38,JNK,ERK1/2 and PKC-δproteins.All data were analyzed by Student’s t tests in GraphPad prism 5.0software and are presented as mean±SD.RESULTS:DHM was found to strongly inhibit the migration of the hepatoma cell lines SK-Hep-1(without DHM,24 h:120±8μmol/L vs 100μmol/L DHM,24h:65±10μmol/L,P<0.001)and MHCC97L(without DHM,24 h:126±7μmol/L vs 100μmol/L DHM,24h:74±6μmol/L,P<0.001).The invasive capacity of the cells was reduced by DHM treatment(SK-Hep-1cells without DHM,24 h:67±4μmol/L vs 100μmol/L DHM,24 h:9±3μmol/L,P<0.001;MHCC97L cells without DHM,24 h:117±8μmol/L vs 100μmol/L DHM,24 h:45±2μmol/L,P<0.001).MMP2/9 activity was also inhibited by DHM exposure(SK-Hep-1 cells without DHM,24 h:600±26μmol/L vs 100μmol/L DHM,24 h:100±6μmol/L,P<0.001;MHCC97L cells without DHM,24 h:504±32μmol/L vs 100μmol/L DHM 24 h:156±10μmol/L,P<0.001).Western blot analysis showed that DHM decreased the expression level of MMP-9 but had little effect on MMP-2.Further investigation indicated that DHM markedly reduced the phosphorylation levels of p38,ERK1/2 and JNK in a concentration-dependent manner but had no impact on the total protein levels.In addition,PKC-δprotein,a key protein in the regulation of MMP family protein expression,was up-regulated with DHM treatment.CONCLUSION:These findings demonstrate that DHM inhibits the migration and invasion of hepatoma cells and may serve as a potential candidate agent for the prevention of HCC metastasis. | Qing-Yu Zhang Ran Li Guo-Fang Zeng Bin Liu Jie Liu Yang Shu Zhong-Kao Liu Zhi-Dong Qiu Dong-Jun Wang Hui-Lai Miao Ming-Yi Li Run-Zhi Zhu | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,29: | 23 |
| 14 | Convolution theorems for the linear canonical transform and their applications显示文摘As generalization of the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT), the linear canonical transform (LCT) has been used in several areas, including optics and signal processing. Many properties for this transform are already known, but the convolution theorems, similar to the version of the Fourier transform, are still to be determined. In this paper, the authors derive the convolution theorems for the LCT, and explore the sampling theorem and multiplicative filter for the band limited signal in the linear canonical domain. | 17 | Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development.
