Biodegradable Zn-Sr alloy for bone regeneration in rat femoral condyle defect model: In vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘Bone defects are commonly caused by severe trauma, malignant tumors,or congenital diseases and remain among the toughest clinical problems faced by orthopedic surgeons, especially when of critical size.Biodegradable zinc-based metals have recently gained popularity for their desirable biocompatibility, suitable degradation rate, and favorable osteogenesis-promoting properties. The biphasic activity of Sr promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis, which imparts Zn-Sr alloys with the ideal theoretical osteogenic properties.Herein,a biodegradable Zn-Sr binary alloy system was fabricated. The cytocompatibility and osteogenesis of the Zn-Sr alloys were significantly better than those of pure Zn in MC3T3-E1 cells.RNA-sequencing illustrated that the Zn-0.8Sr alloy promoted osteogenesis by activating the wnt/β-catenin,PI3K/Akt,and MAPK/Erk signaling pathways.Furthermore, rat femoral condyle defects were repaired using Zn-0.8Sr alloy scaffolds, with pure Ti as a control. The scaffold-bone integration and bone ingrowth confirmed the favorable in vivo repair properties of the Zn-Sr alloy, which was verified to offer satisfactory biosafety based on the hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining and ion concentration testing of important organs. The Zn-0.8Sr alloy was identified as an ideal bone repair material candidate, especially for application in critical-sized defects on load-bearing sites due to its favorable biocompatibility and osteogenic properties in vitro and in vivo. | Bo Jia Hongtao Yang Zechuan Zhang Xinhua Qu Xiufeng Jia Qiang Wu Yu Han Yufeng Zheng Kerong Dai | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,6: | 9
Gluconeogenesis during starvation and refeeding phase is affected by previous dietary carbohydrates levels and a glucose stimuli during early life in Siberian sturgeon(Acipenser baerii)显示文摘Gluconeogenesis responses was assessed during a short starvation period and subsequent refeeding in Siberian sturgeon(Acipenser baerii) previously fed different dietary carbohydrates levels and experienced to a glucose stimuli during early life. The sturgeon larvae were previously fed either a high glucose diet(G) or a low glucose diet(F) from the first feeding to yolk absorption(8 to 12 d post-hatching [dph]). Each group of fish was sub-divided into 2 treatments at 13 dph and was fed either a high-carbohydrate diet(H) or a low carbohydrate diet(L) until 20 wk. In the current study, the fish in 4 groups(GL, FL, GH and FH) were experienced to starvation for 21 d following by re-feeding of their corresponding diets for 21 d.Fish were sampled at postprandial 6 and 24 h before starvation(P6 h and P24 h), starvation 7,14 and 21 d(S7, S14 and S21) and 1, 7,14 and 21 d during refeeding(R1, R7, R14 and R21). Plasma samples during refeeding were taken at P6 h at each time point. Glycaemia levels, liver and muscle glycogen contents, activities and mRNA levels of hepatic gluconeogenic enzymes were examined. We found that both dietary carbohydrate levels and early glucose stimuli significantly affected the metabolic responses to starvation and refeeding in Siberian sturgeon(P < 0.05). During prolonged starvation, Siberian sturgeon firstly mobilized the liver glycogen and then improved gluconeogenesis when the dietary carbohydrates were abundant, whereas preserved the liver glycogen stores at a stable level and more effectively promoted gluconeogenesis when the dietary carbohydrates are absent to maintain glucose homoeostasis.During refeeding, as most teleostean, Siberian sturgeon failed controlling the activities and mRNA levels of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase cytosolic forms(PEPCK-C), fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase(FBPase),but particularly controlled phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase mitochondrial forms(PEPCK-M) activities and mRNA expression of glucose-6-phosphatase(G6 Pase, except in GL group). Siberian sturgeon has a full compensatory ability on growth, but this ability would be obstructed by early glucose stimuli when refeeding the low carbohydrate diet after S21. | Xiaofang Liang Jia Wang Guan Gong Min Xue Yingchao Dong Xiufeng Wu Xin Wang Chunshan Chen Xufang Liang Yuchang Qin | 2017 | Animal Nutrition2017,,3: | 8
Effects of dietary protein levels on the long-term growth response and fitting growth models of gibel carp(Carassius auratus gibelio)显示文摘A 41-wk growth trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary protein levels on the long-term growth response and fitting growth models of gibel carp(Carassius auratus gibelio) with an initial body weight of 1.85 ± 0.17 g. The dietary protein levels were designed at 320(P32), 360(P36). 400(P40).and 440 g/kg(P44), respectively. The growth curves of the gibel carp for each group were fitted and analyzed with four nonlinear regression models(Gompertz. logistic. von Bertalanffy and Richards). The final body weights(mean ± SD) of the fish were 226 ± 6.231 ± 7.242 ± 2, and 236 ± 2 g for P32, P36, P40,and P44. respectively. Feed conversion ratio of P40 and P44 groups was significantly lower than that of P32 and P36 groups(P < 0.05). Productive protein value of P44 group was significantly lower than that of P32 and P36 groups, but not different from that of P40 group(P > 0.05). The growth response of the gibel carp for each group was the best fitted by Richards model with the lowest Chi^2, residual sum of squares and residual variance, then Gompertz and von Bertalanffy growth models, but the logistic model did not fit the data well justified by Chi^2 values. The optimal protein level(400 g/kg) prolonged the stage of fast growth and predicted the highest asymptotic weight, which was close to the harvest size in practice. | Biao Yun Xiaotong Yu Min Xue Ying Liu Jia Wang Xiufeng Wu Fang Han Xufang Liang | 2015 | Animal Nutrition2015,,2: | 4
Chinese expert consensus on conversion therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma(2021 edition)显示文摘Recent advances in systemic and locoregional treatments for patients with unresectable or advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)have resulted in improved response rates. This has provided an opportunity for selected patients with initially unresectable HCC to achieve adequate tumor downstaging to undergo surgical resection,a‘conversion therapy’strategy. However, conversion therapy is a new approach to the treatment of HCC and its practice and treatment protocols are still being developed.Review the evidence for conversion therapy in HCC and develop consensus statements to guide clinical practice.Evidence review:Many research centers in China have accumulated significant experience implementing HCC conversion therapy.Preliminary findings and data have shown that conversion therapy represents an important strategy to maximize the survival of selected patients with intermediate stage to advanced HCC;however, there are still many urgent clinical and scientific challenges for this therapeutic strategy and its related fields. In order to summarize and learn from past experience and review current challenges, the Chinese Expert Consensus on Conversion Therapy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma(2021 Edition)was developed based on a review of preliminary experience and clinical data from Chinese and non-Chinese studies in this field and combined with recommendations for clinical practice.Sixteen consensus statements on the implementation of conversion therapy for HCC were developed. The statements generated in this review are based on a review of clinical evidence and real clinical experience and will help guide future progress in conversion therapy for patients with HCC. | Hui-Chuan Sun Jian Zhou Zheng Wang Xiufeng Liu Qing Xie Weidong Jia Ming Zhao Xinyu Bi Gong Li Xueli Bai Yuan Ji Li Xu Xiao-Dong Zhu Dousheng Bai Yajin Chen Yongjun Chen Chaoliu Dai Rongping Guo Wenzhi Guo Chunyi Hao Tao Huang Zhiyong Huang Deyu Li Gang Li Tao Li Xiangcheng Li Guangming Li Xiao Liang Jingfeng Liu Fubao Liu Shichun Lu Zheng Lu Weifu Lv Yilei Mao Guoliang Shao Yinghong Shi Tianqiang Song Guang Tan Yunqiang Tang Kaishan Tao Chidan Wan Guangyi Wang Lu Wang Shunxiang Wang Tianfu Wen Baocai Xing Bangde Xiang Sheng Yan Dinghua Yang Guowen Yin Tao Yin Zhenyu Yin Zhengping Yu Bixiang Zhang Jialin Zhang Shuijun Zhang Ti Zhang Yamin Zhang Yubao Zhang Aibin Zhang Haitao Zhao Ledu Zhou Wu Zhang Zhenyu Zhu Shukui Qin Feng Shen Xiujun Cai Gaojun Teng Jianqiang Cai Minshan Chen Qiang Li Lianxin Liu Weilin Wang Tingbo Liang Jiahong Dong Xiaoping Chen Xuehao Wang Shusen Zheng Jia Fan 无 | 2022 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2022,11,2: | 4
Vertical and horizontal displacements of a reservoir slope due to slope aging effect, rainfall, and reservoir water显示文摘Landslides are common hazards in reservoir areas and significantly affect dam operation and human lives. For the prevention and management of landslides, accurate assessment of the factors influencing their generation is essential. This study evaluated the key external factors influencing horizontal and vertical displacements of Luobogang Reservoir Slope in Hanyuan County,China.Displacements had been monitored by a surface-displacement-monitoring system consisting of 118 GPS stations during 2012-2015.To identify the external driving factors, their influence zones, and slope responses,we analyzed 32 months of displacement measurements and other multi-source datasets using the empirical orthogonal function.Overall, the results show that slope aging effect, rainfall, and reservoir water levels are three main driving factors. For horizontal displacement, aging effect is the most critical factor and predominantly affects the edges of landslides, the gob cave, and the public building zones. The secondary factor is the reservoir water level, which mainly acts on the boundary between the slope and reservoir water surface. The closer the slope zone is to the reservoir water, the more significant the impact is.Regarding vertical displacement, the most important factor is rainfall. The vertical displacement caused by rainfall accounts for 56.76% of the total vertical displacements. However, rainfall induces elastic displacements that generally cause less damage to the slope. The secondary factor is aging effect, and the vertical displacement caused by aging effect accounts for 9.42%.However,seven individual zones are highly affected by slope aging effect, which is consistent with the distribution of public buildings. | Dongzhen Jia Ye Zhou Xiufeng He Nan Xu Zhixiang Yang Minfeng Song | 2021 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2021,12,4: | 1
Nonreciprocal coherent coupling of nanomagnets by exchange spin waves显示文摘Nanomagnets are widely used to store information in non-volatile spintronic devices.Spin waves can transfer information with low-power consumption as their propagations are independent of charge transport. However,to dynamically couple two distant nanomagnets via spin waves remains a major challenge for magnonics. Here we experimentally demonstrate coherent coupling of two distant Co nanowires by fast propagating spin waves in an yttrium iron garnet thin film with sub-50 nm wavelengths.Magnons in two nanomagnets are unidirectionally phase-locked with phase shifts controlled by magnon spin torque and spin-wave propagation. The coupled system is finally formulated by an analytical theory in terms of an effective non-Hermitian Hamiltonian. Our results are attractive for analog neuromorphic computing that requires unidirectional information transmission. | Hanchen Wang Jilei Chen Tao Yu Chuanpu Liu Chenyang Guo Song Liu Ka Shen Hao Jia Tao Liu Jianyu Zhang Marco A.Cabero Z Qiuming Song Sa Tu Mingzhong Wu Xiufeng Han Ke Xia Dapeng Yu Gerrit E.W.Bauer Haiming Yu | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,7: | 1
Genome assembly and resequencing analyses provide new insights into the evolution, domestication and ornamental traits of crape myrtle显示文摘Crape myrtle(Lagerstroemia indica)is a globally used ornamental woody plant and is the representative species of Lagerstroemia. However, studies on the evolution and genomic breeding of L.indica have been hindered by the lack of a reference genome. Here we assembled the first high-quality genome of L.indica using PacBio combined with Hi-C scaffolding to anchor the 329.14-Mb genome assembly into 24 pseudochromosomes. We detected a previously undescribed independent whole-genome triplication event occurring 35.5 million years ago in L.indica following its divergence from Punica granatum. After resequencing 73 accessions of Lagerstroemia, the main parents of modern crape myrtle cultivars were found to be L.indica and L.fauriei.During the process of domestication, genetic diversity tended to decrease in many plants, but this was not observed in L.indica.We constructed a high-density genetic linkage map with an average map distance of 0.33 cM.Furthermore,we integrated the results of quantitative trait locus(QTL)using genetic mapping and bulk segregant analysis(BSA),revealing that the major-effect interval controlling internode length(IL)is located on chr1,which contains CDL15,CRG98,and GID1b1 associated with the phytohormone pathways.Analysis of gene expression of the red, purple, and white flower-colour flavonoid pathways revealed that differential expression of multiple genes determined the flower colour of L.indica, with white flowers having the lowest gene expression. In addition,BSA of purple-and green-leaved individuals of populations of L.indica was performed, and the leaf colour loci were mapped to chr12 and chr17.Within these intervals,we identified MYB35,NCED,and KAS1.Our genome assembly provided a foundation for investigating the evolution, population structure, and differentiation of Myrtaceae species and accelerating the molecular breeding of L.indica. | Yang Zhou Tangchun Zheng Ming Cai Lu Feng Xiufeng Chi Ping Shen Xin Wang Zhiting Wan Cunquan Yuan Man Zhang Yu Han Jia Wang Huitang Pan Tangren Cheng Qixiang Zhang | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,9: | 1
Coastal bathymetry inversion using SAR-based altimetric gravity data:A case study over the South Sandwich Island显示文摘The global bathymetry models are usually of low accuracy over the coastline of polar areas due to the harsh climatic environment and the complex topography.Satellite altimetric gravity data can be a supplement and plays a key role in bathymetry modeling over these regions. The Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)altimeters in the missions like CryoSat-2 and Sentinel-3A/3B can relieve waveform contamination that existed in conventional altimeters and provide data with improved accuracy and spatial resolution. In this study,we investigate the potential application of SAR altimetric gravity data in enhancing coastal bathymetry, where the effects on local bathymetry modeling introduced from SAR altimetry data are quantified and evaluated.Furthermore,we study the effects on bathymetry modeling by using different scale factor calculation approaches, where a partition-wise scheme is implemented. The numerical experiment over the South Sandwich Islands near Antarctica suggests that using SARbased altimetric gravity data improves local coastal bathymetry modeling, compared with the model calculated without SAR altimetry data by a magnitude of 3:55 m within 10 km of offshore areas. Moreover,by using the partition-wise scheme for scale factor calculation, the quality of the coastal bathymetry model is improved by 7.34 m compared with the result derived from the traditional method. These results indicate the superiority of using SAR altimetry data in coastal bathymetry inversion. | Yihao Wu Junjie Wang Xiufeng He Yunlong Wu Dongzhen Jia Yueqian Shen | 2023 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2023,14,3: | 0
Development and commercial application of Baosteel sintering flue gas recirculating process显示文摘Because of the low temperature, large waste gas volume, high pollutant content, and complicated compositions, waste heat recovery and emission gas treatment of sintering flue gas have always presented a challenge in the steel industry, and this issue has attracted widespread attention both locally and abroad. Recently, based on the first domestic pilot plant and demonstration project,Baosteel has performed a series of innovative research and development investigations on its sintering flue gas recirculating( SFGR) process,in which the system design and optimization,dioxin-related contaminant source suppression, ore matching structure optimization,wear-resistant design of cycling fans and pipelines,high-efficiency dust removal equipment, system control and stable operation strategy, flue gas mixing and switching control, circular hood sealing, oxygen content conditioning, recirculation sintering system process control, and model development have been studied, and a complete set of equipment and technology for the SFGR process has been initially developed. The investigation results suggest that the SFGR process can not only significantly reduce exhaust gas volume and pollutant emissions but also recover low-temperature waste heat and reduce the energy consumption of sintering; therefore, the overall technologies possess great value in energy savings, pollution emission reduction, and sintering ore quality / yield improvement. | CUI Jian LI Xianwei SHI Lei DU Hongjin JIA Xiufeng XI Saifeng YU Bo WANG Ruyi YU Yongmei JIN Chun YANG Yun | 2014 | Baosteel Technical Research2014,8,4: | 0
An Edge-assisted, Object-oriented Random Forest Approach for Refined Extraction of Tea Plantations Using Multi-temporal Sentinel-2 and High-resolution Gaofen-2 Imagery显示文摘As a consumed and influential natural plant beverage, tea is widely planted in subtropical and tropical areas all over the world.Affected by(sub)tropical climate characteristics, the underlying surface of the tea distribution area is extremely complex, with a variety of vegetation types. In addition, tea distribution is scattered and fragmentized in most of China. Therefore,it is difficult to obtain accurate tea information based on coarse resolution remote sensing data and existing feature extraction methods. This study proposed a boundary-enhanced,object-oriented random forest method on the basis of high-resolution GF-2 and multi-temporal Sentinel-2 data. This method uses multispectral indexes, textures, vegetable indices, and variation characteristics of time-series NDVI from the multi-temporal Sentinel-2 imageries to obtain abundant features related to the growth of tea plantations. To reduce feature redundancy and computation time, the feature elimination algorithm based on Mean Decrease Accuracy(MDA)was used to generate the optimal feature set.Considering the serious boundary inconsistency problem caused by the complex and fragmented land cover types, high resolution GF-2 image was segmented based on the MultiResolution Segmentation(MRS)algorithm to assist the segmentation of Sentinel-2,which contributes to delineating meaningful objects and enhancing the reliability of the boundary for tea plantations. Finally, the object-oriented random forest method was utilized to extract the tea information based on the optimal feature combination in the Jingmai Mountain,Yunnan Province. The resulting tea plantation map had high accuracy, with a 95.38%overall accuracy and 0.91 kappa coefficient. We conclude that the proposed method is effective for mapping tea plantations in high heterogeneity mountainous areas and has the potential for mapping tea plantations in large areas. | Juanjuan YU Xiufeng HE Jia XU Zhuang GAO Peng YANG Yuanyuan CHEN Jiacheng XIONG | 2023 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2023,6,1: | 0
