Involvement of carbon monoxide produced by heme oxygenase in ABA-induced stomatal closure in Vicia faba and its proposed signal transduction pathway显示文摘Carbon monoxide (CO) has recently proven to be an important bioactive or signaling molecule in mammalian cells. Its effects are mainly mediated by nitric oxide (NO) and cyclic GMP (cGMP). In Vicia faba leaves, CO production and heme oxygenase (HO) activity, an important CO synthetic enzyme, are first reported to increase in response to ABA treatment, which could result in stomatal closure. Inter- estingly, ABA-induced stomatal closure in V. faba guard cells is partially blocked when the synthetic CO inhibitor ZnPP, or the CO/NO scavenger Hb is added. Furthermore, we show that, exogenously applied CO donor, hematin, and CO aqueous solution not only result in the enhancement of CO release, but also time-dependently induce stomatal closure, and the latter is mimicked by the application of an NO donor SNP. The above-mentioned stomatal closure effects are differentially reversed by the addition of tungstate, a potent inhibitor of NO synthetic enzyme nitrate reductase (NR), the specific NO scavenger cPTIO, ZnPP, or Hb. During treatment for 4 h, SNP, 0.01% CO aqueous solution or hematin significantly triggers NO synthesis, whereas cPTIO, or tungstate approximately fully inhibits NO fluorescence. Ad- ditionally, application of the GC inhibitor ODQ blocks CO-induced stomatal closure. This inhibition could be reversed when 8-Br-cGMP is added. Thus, the above results suggest that CO produced by HO is involved in ABA-induced stomatal closure, and NO and cGMP may function as downstream interme- diates in the CO signaling responsible for stomatal closure. | CAO ZeYu HUANG BenKai WANG QingYa XUAN Wei LING TengFang ZHANG Bo CHEN Xi NIE Li SHEN WenBiaot | 2007 | Chinese Science Bulletin2007,52,17: | 16
From surface to bulk modification: Plasma polymerization of amine-bearing coating by synergic strategy of biomolecule grafting and nitric oxide loading显示文摘Integration of two or more biomolecules with synergetic and complementary effects on a material surface can help to obtain multi-functions for various biomedical applications. However, the amounts of biomolecules integrated and their physiological functions are compromised due to the limited surface anchoring sites.Herein,we propose a novel concept of film engineering strategy“from surface to bulk synergetic modification”.This new concept is realized by employing the surface amine groups of plasma polymerized allylamine(PPAm)film for grafting a molecule e.g.,thrombin inhibitor, bivalirudin(BVLD),meanwhile its bulk amine groups is used as a universal depot for storing and releasing therapeutic nitric oxide(NO)gas as supplement to the functions of BVLD.It is demonstrated that such a“from surface to bulk synergetic modification”film engineering can impart the modified-substrates with anti-platelet and anti-coagulant dual functions, giving rise to a highly endotheliummimetic thromboresistant property. We believe that our research provides a very promising strategy to deliver multifunctional surface versatilely that require NO release in combination with other properties, which will find broad biomedical applications in blood-contacting devices, and et al.Moreover,it also provides a brand-new film engineering strategy for tailoring surface multi-functionalities of a wide range of materials. | Tong Yang Zeyu Du Hua Qiu Peng Gao Xin Zhao Huaiyu Wang Qiufen Tu Kaiqin Xiong Nan Huang Zhilu Yang | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,1: | 10
Female directors and real activities manipulation:Evidence from China显示文摘Unlike previous studies that focus on accrual-based earnings management, this study analyzes real activities manipulation and investigates whether female directors on boards of directors(Bo Ds) affect managers' real activities manipulation. Using a large sample of 11,831 firm-year observations from Chinese listed companies from the 2000 to 2011 period, we find that higher female participation on Bo Ds is associated with lower levels of real activities manipulation, and that this negative relationship is stronger when female directors have higher ownership. These results hold for a battery of robustness checks.Overall, our findings indicate that board gender diversity may serve as a substitute mechanism for corporate governance to curb real activities manipulation and thus provide interested stakeholders with higher quality earnings reports. | Jin-hui Luo Yuangao Xiang Zeyue Huang | 2017 | China Journal of Accounting Research2017,,2: | 6
Simulation of the equatorial quasi-biennial oscillation based on the parameterization of continuously spectral gravity waves显示文摘On the basis of previous parameterization schemes, considering both the wave breaking and absorbed at critical level, a parameterization with a continuous spectrum of gravity waves is realized by introducing a momentum flux density function for the wave spectrum, and then the parameterization scheme of the gravity waves is improved. Choosing parameter values of the background atmosphere and waves based on the observations, a more realistic equatorial quasi-biennial oscillation (QBO) driven by the incorporated drag from the planetary and gravity waves can be simulated. The numerical results indicate that the forcing magnitude of the planetary and gravity waves varies with the wind field, and in some phases of the QBO, the contribution of the gravity waves is comparable with that of the planetary waves. After the QBO is steadily formed, its amplitude and period and wind configuration are relevant to the effect of vertical diffusion and the momentum flux distribution with spectrum, however, independent of the initial background wind field. Moreover, for any given nonzero initial background wind, a steady QBO can be finally generated due to the incorporated drag from the planetary and gravity waves. | HUANG KaiMing ZHANG ShaoDong ,YI Fan CHEN ZeYu | 2009 | Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,2: | 6
Dynamic and nonlinear properties of epitaxial quantum dot lasers on silicon for isolator-free integration显示文摘This work investigates the dynamic and nonlinear properties of quantum dot(QD) lasers directly grown on silicon with a view to isolator-free applications. Among them, the chirp parameter, also named the αHfactor,is featured through a thermally insensitive method analyzing the residual side-mode dynamics under optical injection locking. The αHat threshold is found as low as 0.32. Then, the nonlinear gain is investigated from the gain compression factor viewpoint. The latter is found higher for epitaxial QD lasers on silicon than that in heterogeneously integrated quantum well(QW) devices on silicon. Despite that, the power dependence of the αHdoes not lead to a large increase of the chirp coefficient above the laser’s threshold at higher bias. This effect is confirmed from an analytical model and attributed to the strong lasing emission of the ground-state transition, which transforms into a critical feedback level as high as-6.5 d B, which is ~19 d B higher than a comparable QW laser. Finally, the intensity noise analysis confirms that QD lasers are overdamped oscillators with damping frequencies as large as 33 GHz. Altogether, these features contribute to fundamentally enhancing the reflection insensitivity of the epitaxial QD lasers. This last feature is unveiled by the 10 Gbit/s error-free high-speed transmission experiments. Overall, we believe that this work is of paramount importance for future isolator-free photonics technologies and cost-efficient high-speed transmission systems. | Jianan Duan Heming Huang Bozhang Dong Justin C.Norman Zeyu Zhang John E.Bowers Frederic Grillot | 2019 | Photonics Research2019,7,11: | 4
Oxygen vacancy-engineered BaTiO_(3)nanoparticles for synergistic cancer photothermal, photodynamic, and catalytic therapy显示文摘With the rapid development of photo-responsive nanomaterials,photo-triggered therapeutic strategies such as photothermal therapy(PTT)and photodynamic therapy(PDT)have been new alternatives to current cancer therapeutic methods.Herein,we have fabricated oxygen vacancy-engineered BaTiO_(3)(BTO-Ov)nanoparticles(NPs)for near-infrared(NIR)light-triggered PTT,PDT,and catalytic therapy cooperatively for significantly improving cancer therapy.Compared to pristine BaTiO_(3)nanoparticles,BTO-Ov has stronger NIR light absorption and narrower band gap structure, which results in superior photothermal conversion and superoxide radical generation capabilities through PTT and PDT.Meanwhile, due to the existence of Ti^(3+),BTO-Ov also exhibits peroxidase(POD)-like activity to produce hydroxyl radical under tumor environment, which can be further improved under 808 nm light irradiation. Both in vitro and in vivo results demonstrate that such a multifunctional therapeutic nanoplatform can achieve a high therapeutic efficacy triggered by a single NIR light irradiation. The defect engineering strategy can be used as a general approach to fabricate multifunctional cancer therapeutic nanoplatform. | Yiming Ding Zhuo Wang Zeyu Zhang Yunchao Zhao Shangyu Yang Yalong Zhang Shuncheng Yao Shaobo Wang Tian Huang Yang Zhang Linlin Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,8: | 3
Acoustofluidic separation enables early diagnosis of traumatic brain injury based on circulating exosomes显示文摘Traumatic brain injury(TBI)is a global cause of morbidity and mortality.Initial management and risk stratification of patients with TBI is made difficult by the relative insensitivity of screening radiographic studies as well as by the absence of a widely available, noninvasive diagnostic biomarker. In particular,a blood-based biomarker assay could provide a quick and minimally invasive process to stratify risk and guide early management strategies in patients with mild TBI(mTBI).Analysis of circulating exosomes allows the potential for rapid and specific identification of tissue injury.By applying acoustofluidic exosome separation—which uses a combination of microfluidics and acoustics to separate bioparticles based on differences in size and acoustic properties—we successfully isolated exosomes from plasma samples obtained from mice after TBI.Acoustofluidic isolation eliminated interference from other blood components, making it possible to detect exosomal biomarkers for TBI via flow cytometry.Flow cytometry analysis indicated that exosomal biomarkers for TBI increase in the first 24 h following head trauma, indicating the potential of using circulating exosomes for the rapid diagnosis of TBI.Elevated levels of TBI biomarkers were only detected in the samples separated via acoustofluidics;no changes were observed in the analysis of the raw plasma sample. This finding demonstrated the necessity of sample purification prior to exosomal biomarker analysis.Since acoustofluidic exosome separation can easily be integrated with downstream analysis methods,it shows great potential for improving early diagnosis and treatment decisions associated with TBI. | Zeyu Wang Haichen Wang Ryan Becker Joseph Rufo Shujie Yang Brian E.Mace Mengxi Wu Jun Zou Daniel T.Laskowitz Tony Jun Huang | 2021 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,2: | 3
HCloud:A Trusted JointCloud Serverless Platform for IoT Systems with Blockchain显示文摘Cloud computing has been exploited in managing large-scale IoT systems.IoT cloud servers usually handle a large number of requests from various IoT devices.Due to the fluctuant and heavy workload, the servers require the cloud to provide high scalability, stable performance, low price and necessary functionalities. However, traditional clouds usually offer computing service with the abstraction of virtual machine(VM),which can hardly meet these requirements.Meanwhile, different cloud vendors provide different performance stabilities and price models, which fluctuate according to the dynamic workload.A single cloud cannot satisfy all the requirements of the IoT scenario well. The JointCloud computing model empowers the cooperation among multiple public clouds. However,it is still difficult to dynamically schedule the workload on different clouds based on the VM abstraction. This paper introduces HCloud,a trusted JointCloud platform for IoT systems using serverless computing model.HCloud allows an IoT server to be implemented with multiple serverless functions and schedules these functions on different clouds based on a schedule policy. The policy is specified by the client and includes the required functionalities, execution resources, latency, price and so on.HCloud collects the status of each cloud and dispatches serverless functions to the most suitable cloud based on the schedule policy.By leveraging the blockchain technology,we further enforce that our system can neither fake the cloud status nor wrongly dispatch the target functions. We have implemented a prototype of HCloud and evaluated it by simulating multiple cloud providers. The evaluation results show that HCloud can greatly improve the performance of serverless workloads with negligible costs. | Zheng Huang Zeyu Mi Zhichao Hua | 2020 | China Communications2020,17,9: | 3
Control measures during the COVID-19 outbreak reduced the transmission of hand, foot, and mouth disease显示文摘Control measures during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)outbreak may have limited the spread of infectious diseases. This study aimed to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on the spread of hand, foot, and mouth disease(HFMD)in China.A mathematical model was established to fit the reported data of HFMD in six selected cities in China's Mainland from 2015 to 2020.The absolute difference(AD)and relative difference(RD)between the reported incidence in 2020,and simulated maximum, minimum,or median incidence of HFMD in 2015-2019 were calculated. The incidence and R effof HFMD have decreased in six selected cities since the outbreak of COVID-19,and in the second half of 2020,the incidence and R effof HFMD have rebounded. The results show that the total attack rate(TAR)in 2020 was lower than the maximum, minimum, and median TAR fitted in previous years in six selected cities(except Changsha City). For the maximum, median, minimum fitted TAR,the range of RD(%)is 42·20-99·20%,36·35-98·41%48·35-96·23%(except Changsha City)respectively. The preventive and control measures of COVID-19 have significantly contributed to the containment of HFMD transmission. | Yan Niu Li Luo Jia Rui Shiting Yang Bin Deng Zeyu Zhao Shengnan Lin Jingwen Xu Yuanzhao Zhu Yao Wang Meng Yang Xingchun Liu Tianlong Yang Weikang Liu Peihua Li Zhuoyang Li Chan Liu Jiefeng Huang Tianmu Chen | 2021 | Journal of Safety Science and Resilience2021,2,2: | 3
A field-effect approach to directly profiling the localized states in monolayer MoS2显示文摘A fundamental understanding of the charge transport mechanism in two-dimensional semiconductors(e.g., MoS2) is crucial for fully exploring their potential in electronic and optoelectronic devices. By using monolayer graphene as the barrier-free contact to MoS2, we show that the field-modulated conductivity can be used to probe the electronic structure of the localized states. A series of regularly distributed plateaus were observed in the gate-dependent transfer curves. Calculations based on the variable-range hopping theory indicate that such plateaus can be attributed to the discrete localized states near mobility edge. This method provides an effective approach to directly profiling the localized states in conduction channel with an ultrahigh resolution up to 1 meV. | Hao Wu Yuan Liu Zeyu Deng Hung-Chieh Cheng Dehui Li Jian Guo Qiyuan He Sen Yang Mengning Ding Yun-Chiao Huang Chen Wang Yu Huang Xiangfeng Duan | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,15: | 2

Analysis on internal mechanism of zedoary turmeric in treatment of liver cancer based on pharmacodynamic substances and pharmacodynamic groups显示文摘Zedoary tumeric(Curcumae Rhizoma,Ezhu in Chinese)has a long history of application and has great potential in the treatment of liver cancer. The antiliver cancer effect of zedoary tumeric depends on the combined action of multiple pharmacodynamic substances. In order to clarify the specific mechanism of zedoary tumeric against liver cancer, this paper first analyzes the mechanism of its single pharmacodynamic substance against liver cancer, and then verifies the joint anti liver cancer mechanism of its“pharmacodynamic group”.By searching the research on the antihepatoma effect of active components of zedoary tumeric in recent years,we found that pharmacodynamic substances, including curcumol,zedoarondiol,curcumenol,curzerenone,curdione,curcumin,germacrone,β-elemene,can act on multi-target and multi-channel to play an antihepatoma role. For example, curcumin can regulate miR,GLO1,CD133,VEGF,YAP,LIN28B,GPR81,HCAR-1,P53 and PI3K/Akt/mTOR,HSP70/TLR4 and NF-κB.Wnt/TGF/EMT,Nrf2/Keap1,JAK/STAT and other pathways play an antihepatoma role.Network pharmacological analysis showed that the core targets of the“pharmacodynamic group”for anti-life cancer are AKT1,EGFR,MAPK8,etc,and the core pathways are neuroactive live receiver interaction, nitrogen metabolism,HIF-1 signaling pathway, etc. At the same time,by comparing and analyzing the relationship between the specific mechanisms of pharmacodynamic substance and“pharmacodynamic group”,it is found that they have great reference significance in target, pathway, biological function, determination of core pharmacodynamic components, formation of core target protein interaction,in-depth research of single pharmacodynamic substance, increasing curative effect and so on.By analyzing the internal mechanism of zedoary tumeric pharmacodynamic substance and“pharmacodynamic group”in the treatment of liver cancer, this paper intends to provide some ideas and references for the deeper pharmacological research of zedoary tumeric and the relationship between pharmacodynamic substance and“pharmacodynamic group”. | Zeyu Li Erwei Hao Rui Cao Si Lin Linghui Zou Tianyan Huang Zhengcai Du Xiaotao Hou Jiagang Deng | 2022 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2022,14,4: | 2
Acoustofluidic separation of cells andparticles显示文摘Acoustofluidics, the integration of acoustics and microfluidics,is a rapidly growing research field that is addressing challenges in biology, medicine, chemistry, engineering, and physics. In particular, acoustofluidic separation of biological targets from complex fluids has proven to be a powerful tool due to the label-free,biocompatible,and contact-free nature of the technology.By carefully designing and tuning the applied acoustic field, cells and other bioparticles can be isolated with high yield, purity, and biocompatibility.Recent advances in acoustofluidics, such as the development of automated,point-of-care devices for isolating sub-micron bioparticles, address many of the limitations of conventional separation tools.More importantly, advances in the research lab are quickly being adopted to solve clinical problems. In this review article,we discuss working principles of acoustofluidic separation, compare different approaches of acoustofluidic separation, and provide a synopsis of how it is being applied in both traditional applications, such as blood component separation, cell washing, and fluorescence activated cell sorting,as well as emerging applications, including circulating tumor cell and exosome isolation. | Mengxi Wu Adem Ozcelik Joseph Rufo Zeyu Wang Rui Fang Tony Jun Huang | 2019 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1: | 2
Near-zero-dispersion soliton and broadband modulational instability Kerr microcombs in anomalous dispersion显示文摘The developing advances of microresonator-based Ker cavity solitons have enabled versatile applications ranging from communication, signal processing to high-precision measurements.Resonator dispersion is the key factor determining the Kerr comb dynamics.Near the zero group-velocity-dispersion(GVD)regime,low-noise and broadband microcomb sources are achievable, which is crucial to the application of the Kerr soliton. When the GVD is almost vanished,higher-order dispersion can significantly affect the Kerr comb dynamics.Although many studies have investigated the Kerr comb dynamics near the zero-dispersion regime in microresonator or fiber ring system, limited by dispersion profles and dispersion perturbations, the near-zero-dispersion soliton structure pumped in the anomalous dispersion side is still elusive so far. Here,we theoretically and experimentally investigate the microcomb dynamics in fiber-based Fabry-Perot microresonator with ultra-small anomalous GVD.We obtain 2/3-octave-spaning microcombs with~10 GHz spacing,>84 THz span,and>8400 comb lines in the modulational instability(MI)state, without any external nonlinear spectral broadening.Such widely-spanned Ml combs are also able to enter the soliton state. Moreover,we report the first observation of anomalous-dispersion based near-zero-dispersion solitons, which exhibits a local repetition rate up to 8.6 THz,an individual pulse duration<100 fs,a span>32 THz and>3200 comb lines. These two distinct comb states have their own advantages. The broadband MI combs possess high conversion efficiency and wide existing range, while the near-zero-dispersion soliton exhibits relatively low phase noise and ultra-high local repetition rate. This work complements the dynamics of Kerr cavity soliton near the zero-dispersion regime, and may stimulate cross-disciplinary inspirations ranging from dispersion-controlled microresonators to broadband coherent comb devices. | Zeyu Xiao Tieying Li Minglu Cai Hongyi Zhang Yi Huang Chao Li Baicheng Yao Kan Wu Jianping Chen | 2023 | Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,2: | 2
Electrical Conductivity,Oil Absorption and Electric Heating of Carbon Black-modified Carbon Nanofibers显示文摘Carbon-black-modified carbon nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning, and the effects of the carbon black content and processing temperature on the physical and chemical properties of the resulting composites were investigated. The results showed that the conductivity of carbon-black-modified nanofibers increased with the carbon black content. The addition of carbon black in a 20%mass ratio increased the conductivity of the composite(0.75 S/cm)by 230%compared with the undoped nano-fiber(2.47 S/cm),while the adulteration with 5%CB allowed the preservation of the mechanical properties of the composites. The fabricated carbon-black/carbon-nanocomposite fibers exhibited excellent oil absorption and electrothermal conversion performance.Furthermore, the conductivity and oil absorption capacity increased with increasing carbonization temperature. With a carbonization temperature of 1000℃(5%carbon black),the voltage was 31 V,the current was 0.66 A,and the surface temperature of the composite reached 234.1℃.The overall enhancement in physical properties upon the addition of even low amounts of carbon black makes these composites advantageous for future industrial applications. | HUANG Hedong GUO Zeyu YANG Pengyan CHEN Peng Wu Jie | 2021 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,3: | 2
Mitochondrial transcription factor A plays opposite roles in the initiation and progression of colitis-associated cancer显示文摘Background:Mitochondria are key regulators in cell proliferation and apoptosis.Alterations in mitochondrial function are closely associated with inflammation and tumorigenesis. This study aimed to investigate whether mitochondrial transcription factor A(TFAM),a key regulator of mitochondrial DNA transcription and replication,is involved in the initiation and progression of colitis-associated cancer(CAC).Methods:TFAM expression was examined in tissue samples of inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)and CAC by immunohistochemistry.Intestinal epithelial cell(IEC)-specific TFAM-knockout mice(TFAM^(△IEC))and colorectal cancer(CRC)cells with TFAM knockdown or overexpression were used to evaluate the role of TFAMin colitis and the initiation and progression ofCAC.The underlying mechanisms of TFAMwere also explored by analyzingmitochondrial respiration function and biogenesis. Results:The expression of TFAM was downregulated in active IBD and negatively associated with the disease activity. The downregulation of TFAM in IECs was induced by interleukin-6 in a signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)/miR-23b-dependent manner. In addition,TFAM knockout impaired IECturnover to promote dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis inmice.Of note,TFAMknockout increased the susceptibility of mice to azoxymethane/DSSinduced CAC and TFAM overexpression protected mice from intestinal inflammation and colitis-associated tumorigenesis.By contrast,TFAM expression was upregulated in CAC tissues and contributed to cell growth.Furthermore,it was demonstrated that β-catenin induced the upregulation of TFAM through c-Myc in CRC cells.Mechanistically,TFAMpromoted the proliferation of both IECs and CRC cells by increasing mitochondrial biogenesis and activity. Conclusions:TFAM plays a dual role in the initiation and progression of CAC,providing a novel understanding of CAC pathogenesis. | Shirong Yang Xianli He Jing Zhao Dalin Wang Shanshan Guo Tian Gao Gang Wang Chao Jin Zeyu Yan Nan Wang Yongxing Wang Yilin Zhao Jinliang Xing Qichao Huang | 2021 | Cancer Communications2021,41,8: | 2
Feasibility of Booster Vaccination in High-Risk Populations for Controlling Coronavirus Variants—China,2021显示文摘Introduction:Vaccination booster shots are completely necessary for controlling breakthrough infections of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)in China. The study aims to estimate effectiveness of booster vaccines for high-risk populations(HRPs).Methods:A vaccinated Susceptible-Exposed-Symptomatic-Asymptomatic-Recovered/Removed(SEIAR)model was developed to simulate scenarios of effective reproduction number(Reff)from 4 to 6.Total number of infectious and asymptomatic cases were used to evaluated vaccination effectiveness. Results:Our model showed that we could not prevent outbreaks when covering 80%of HRPs with booster unless Reff=4.0 or the booster vaccine had efficacy against infectivity and susceptibility of more than 90%.The results were consistent when the outcome index was confirmed cases or asymptomatic cases. Conclusions:An ideal coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)booster vaccination strategy for HRPs would be expected to reach the initial goal to control the transmission of the Delta variant in China.Accordingly, the recommendation for the COVID-19 booster vaccine should be implemented in HRPs who are already vaccinated and could prevent transmission to other groups. | Kangguo Li Zeyu Zhao Hongjie Wei Jia Rui Jiefeng Huang Xiaohao Guo Yichao Guo Shiting Yang Guzainuer Abudurusuli Li Luo Xingchun Liu Yao Wang Jingwen Xu Yuanzhao Zhu Meng Yang TianlongYang Weikang Liu Bin Deng Chan Liu Zhuoyang Li Peihua Li Shanshan Yu Zimei Yang Yanhua Su Benhua Zhao Yan Niu Tianmu Chen | 2021 | China CDC weekly2021,3,50: | 2

Molecular mechanisms of adaptive evolution in wild animals and plants显示文摘Wild animals and plants have developed a variety of adaptive traits driven by adaptive evolution,an important strategy for species survival and persistence.Uncovering the molecular mechanisms of adaptive evolution is the key to understanding species diversification, phenotypic convergence, and inter-species interaction. As the genome sequences of more and more non-model organisms are becoming available, the focus of studies on molecular mechanisms of adaptive evolution has shifted from the candidate gene method to genetic mapping based on genome-wide scanning. In this study,we reviewed the latest research advances in wild animals and plants, focusing on adaptive traits, convergent evolution, and coevolution.Firstly,we focused on the adaptive evolution of morphological, behavioral, and physiological traits.Secondly,we reviewed the phenotypic convergences of life history traits and responding to environmental pressures, and the underlying molecular convergence mechanisms.Thirdly,we summarized the advances of coevolution, including the four main types:mutualism, parasitism, predation and competition.Overall, these latest advances greatly increase our understanding of the underlying molecular mechanisms for diverse adaptive traits and species interaction, demonstrating that the development of evolutionary biology has been greatly accelerated by multi-omics technologies. Finally,we highlighted the emerging trends and future prospects around the above three aspects of adaptive evolution. | Yibo Hu Xiaoping Wang Yongchao Xu Hui Yang Zeyu Tong Ran Tian Shaohua Xu Li Yu Yalong Guo Peng Shi Shuangquan Huang Guang Yang Suhua Shi Fuwen Wei | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,3: | 1
