Subduction and retreating of the western Pacific plate resulted in lithospheric mantle replacement and coupled basin-mountain respond in the North China Craton显示文摘The North China Craton(NCC) witnessed Mesozoic vigorous tectono-thermal activities and transition in the nature of deep lithosphere. These processes took place in three periods:(1) Late Paleozoic to Early Jurassic(~170 Ma);(2) Middle Jurassic to Early Cretaceous(160-140 Ma);(3) Early Cretaceous to Cenozoic(140 Ma to present). The last two stages saw the lithospheric mantle replacement and coupled basin-mountain response within the North China Craton due to subduction and retreating of the Paleo-Pacific plate, and is the emphasis in this paper. In the first period, the subduction and closure of the PaleoAsian Ocean triggered the back-arc extension, syn-collisional compression and then post-collisional extension accompanied by ubiquitous magmatism along the northern margin of the NCC. Similar processes happened in the southern margin of the craton as the subduction of the Paleo-Tethys ocean and collision with the South China Block. These processes had caused the chemical modification and mechanical destruction of the cratonic margins. The margins could serve as conduits for the asthenosphere upwelling and had the priority for magmatism and deformation. The second period saw the closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk ocean and the shear deformation and magmatism induced by the drifting of the Paleo-Pacific slab. The former led to two pulse of N-S trending compression(Episodes A and B of the Yanshan Movement) and thus the pre-existing continental marginal basins were disintegrated into sporadically basin and range pro vince by the Mesozoic magmatic plutons and NE-SW trending faults. With the anticlockwise rotation of the Paleo-Pacific moving direction, the subduction-related magmatism migrated into the inner part of the craton and the Tanlu fault became normal fault from a sinistral one. The NCC thus turned into a back-arc extension setting at the end of this period. In the third period, the refractory subcontinental lithospheric mantle(SCLM) was firstly remarkably eroded and thinned by the subduction-induced asthenospheric upwelling, especially those beneath the weakzones(i.e.,cratonic margins and the lithospheric Tanlu fault zone). Then a slightly lithospheric thickening occurred when the upwelled asthenosphere got cool and transformed to be lithospheric mantle accreted(~125 Ma) beneath the thinned SCLM. Besides, the magmatism continuously moved southeastward and the extensional deformations preferentially developed in weak zones, which include the Early Cenozoic normal fault transformed from the Jurassic thrust in the Trans-North Orogenic Belt, the crustal detachment and the subsidence of Bohai basin caused by the continuous normal strike slip of the Tanlu fault, the Cenozoic graben basins originated from the fault depression in the Trans-North Orogenic Belt, the Bohai Basin and the Sulu Orogenic belt. With small block size, inner lithospheric weak zones and the surrounding subductions/collisions, the Mesozoic NCC was characterized by(1) lithospheric thinning and crustal detachment triggered by the subduction-induced asthenospheric upwelling.Local crustal contraction and orogenesis appeared in the Trans-North Orogenic Belt coupled with the crustal detachment;(2)then upwelled asthenosphere got cool to be newly-accreted lithospheric mantle and crustal grabens and basin subsidence happened, as a result of the subduction zone retreating. Therefore, the subduction and retreating of the western Pacific plate is the outside dynamics which resulted in mantle replacement and coupled basin-mountain respond within the North China Craton. We consider that the Mesozoic decratonization of the North China Craton,or the Yanshan Movement, is a comprehensive consequence of complex geological processes proceeding surrounding and within craton, involving both the deep lithospheric mantle and shallow continental crust.Jianping ZHENG Hongkun DAI 2018Science China Earth Sciences2018,61,4:20
Progress and trend of sensor technology for on-line oil monitoring显示文摘Oil monitoring constitutes an important and essential component of condition monitoring technologies and has distinguished advantages in revealing wear, lubrication and friction conditions of tribo-pairs.Newly developed on-line/in-line oil monitoring technologies extend the merits into real-time applications and demonstrate significant benefits in maintenance and management of equipment. This paper comprehensively reviews the progress of on-line/in-line oil monitoring techniques including sensor technologies, their scopes and industrial applications.Based on the existing developments and applications of the sensors for oil quality and wear debris measurements, the trends for future sensor developments are discussed with focuses on accurate, integrated and intelligent features along with exploring a fundamental issue, that is,acquiring the knowledge on degradation mechanisms which has not received sufficient attention until now.Current status of applications of on-line oil monitoring is also reviewed.Although limited reports have been found on this topic, increasing awareness and encouraging progress in on-line monitoring techniques are recognized in applications such as aircraft, shipping, railway, mining, etc.Key fundamental issues for further extending the on-line oil monitoring techniques in industries are proposed and they include long-term reliability of sensors in harsh conditions, and agreement with fault or maintenance determination.WU TongHai WU HongKun DU Ying PENG ZhongXiao 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,12:19
N6-Methyladenine DNA Methylation in Japonica and Indica Rice Genomes and Its Association with Gene Expression,Plant Development, and Stress Responses显示文摘N6-Methyladenine (6mA)DNA methylation has recently been implicated as a potential new epigenetic marker in eukaryotes, including the dioot modelArabidopsis thaliana. However, the conservation and divergence of 6mA distribution patterns and functions in plants remain elusive. Here we report high-quality 6mA methylomes at single-nucleotide resolution in rice based on substantially improved genome sequences of two rice cultivars,Nipponbare (Nip;Japonica)and 93-11 (Indica).Analysis of 6mA genomic distribution and its association with transcription suggest that 6mA distribution and function is rather conserved between rice and Arabidopsis. We found that 6mA levels are positively correlated with the expression of key stressrelated genes, which may be responsible for the difference in stress tolerance between Nip and 93-11. Moreover,we showed that mutations in DDM1 cause defects in plant growth and decreased 6mA level. Our results reveal that 6mA is a conserved DNA modification that is positively associated with gene expression and contributes to key agronomic traits in plants.Qian Zhang Zhe Liang Xuean Cui Changmian Ji Yun Li Pingxian Zhang Jingrong Liu Adeel Riaz Pu Yao Min Liu Yunpeng Wang Tiegang Lu Hao Yu Donglei Yang Hongkun Zheng Xiaofeng Gu 2018Molecular Plant2018,11,12:18
A Chromosome-Scale Genome Assembly of Paper Mulberry(Bmussonetia papyrifera)Provides New Insights into Its Forage and Papermaking Usage显示文摘Paper mulberry(Broussonetia papyrifera)is a well-known woody tree historically used for Cai Lun papermaking, one of the four great inventions of ancient China.More recently,Paper mulberry has also been used as forage to address the shortage of feedstuff because of its digestible crude fiber and high protein contents. In this study,we obtained a chromosome-scale genome assembly for Paper mulberry using integrated approaches, including Illumina and PacBio sequencing platform as well as Hi-C,optical,and genetic maps. The assembled Paper mulberry genome consists of 386.83 Mb,which is close to the estimated size, and 99.25%(383.93 Mb)of the assembly was assigned to 13 pseudochromosomes.Comparative genomic analysis revealed the expansion and contraction in the flavonoid and lignin biosynthetic gene families, respectively, accounting for the enhanced flavonoid and decreased lignin biosynthesis in Paper mulberry. Moreover, the increased ratio of syringyl-lignin to guaiacyl-lignin in Paper mulberry underscores its suitability for use in medicine, forage, papermaking, and barkcloth making. We also identified the rootassociated microbiota of Paper mulberry and found that Pseudomonas and Rhizobia were enriched in its roots and may provide the source of nitrogen for its stems and leaves via symbiotic nitrogen fixation.Collectively, these results suggest that Paper mulberry might have undergone adaptive evolution and recruited nitrogen-fixing microbes to promote growth by enhancing flavonoid production and altering lignin monomer composition. Our study provides significant insights into genetic basis of the usefulness of Paper mulberry in papermaking and barkcloth making, and as forage. These insights will facilitate further domestication and selection as well as industrial utilization of Paper mulberry worldwide.Xianjun Peng Hui Liu Peilin Chen Feng Tang Yanmin Hu Fenfen Wang Zhi Pi Meiling Zhao Naizhi Chen Hui Chen Xiaokang Zhang Xueqing Yan Min Liu Xiaojun Fu Guofeng Zhao Pu Yao Lili Wang He Dai Xuming Li Wei Xiong Wencai Xu Hongkun Zheng Haiyan Yu Shihua Shen 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,5:18
Combination of rhamnolipid and biochar in assisting phytoremediation of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil using Spartina anglica显示文摘Biochar (BC) and rhamnolipid (RL) is used in bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons, however, the combined effect of BC and RL in phytoremediation has not been studied until now.In this paper, the phytoremediation of petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soil using novel plant Spartina anglica was enhanced by the combination of biochar (BC) and rhamnolipid (RL).Samples of petroleum-contaminated soil (10,30 and 50 g/kg) were amended by BC,BC+ RL and rhamnolipid modified biochar (RMB),respectively. After 60 day's cultivation, the removal rate of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs) for unplanted soil (UP),planted soil (P),planted soil with BC addition (P-BC),planted soil with BC and RL addition (P-BC + RL) and planted soil with addition ofRMB (P-RMB) were 8.6%,19.1%,27.7%,32.4% and 35.1% in soil with TPHs concentration of 30 g/kg,respectively.Compared with UP,the plantation of Spartina anglica significantly decreased the concentration of C8-14 and tricyclic PAHs.Furthermore, the application of BC and RMB alleviated the toxicity of petroleum hydrocarbons to Spartina anglica via improving plant growth with increasing plant height, root vitality and total chlorophyll content.High-throughput sequencing result indicated that rhizosphere microbial community of Spartina anglica was regulated by the application of BC and RMB,with increase of bacteria and plant mycorrhizal symbiotic fungus in biochar and RMB amended soil.Meinan Zhen Hongkun Chen Qinglong Liu Benru Song Yizhi Wang Jingchun Tang 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,11:15
Improved Brassica rapa reference genome by single-molecule sequencing and chromosome conformation capture technologies显示文摘Brassica rapa comprises several important cultivated vegetables and oil crops.Current reference genome assemblies of Brassica rapa are quite fragmented and not highly contiguous, thereby limiting extensive genetic and genomic analyses. Here,we report an improved assembly of the B.rapa genome(v3.0)using single-molecule sequencing, optical mapping, and chromosome conformation capture technologies(Hi-C).Relative to the previous reference genomes, our assembly features a contig N50 size of 1.45 Mb,representing a~30-fold improvement. We also identified a new event that occurred in the B.rapa genome~1.2 million years ago, when a long terminal repeat retrotransposon(LTR-RT)expanded.Further analysis refined the relationship of genome blocks and accurately located the centromeres in the B.rapa genome. The B.rapa genome v3.0 will serve as an important community resource for future genetic and genomic studies in B.rapa.This resource will facilitate breeding efforts in B.rapa,as well as comparative genomic analysis with other Brassica species.Lei Zhang Xu Cai Jian Wu Min Liu Stefan Grob Feng Cheng Jianli Liang Chengcheng Cai Zhiyuan Liu Bo Liu Fan Wang Song Li Fuyan Liu Xuming Li Lin Cheng Wencai Yang Mai-he Li Ueli Grossniklaus Hongkun Zheng Xiaowu Wang 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:10
Whole-Genome Resequencing of a Worldwide Collection of Rapeseed Accessions Reveals the Genetic Basis of Ecotype Divergence显示文摘Rapeseed (Brassica napus),an important oilseed crop, has adapted to diverse climate zones and latitudes by forming three main ecotype groups, namely winter, semiwinter, and spring types. However, genetic variations underlying the divergence of these ecotypes are largely unknown. Here,we report the global pattern of genetic polymorphisms in rapeseed determined by resequencing a worldwide collection of 991 germplasm accessions.A total of 5.56 and 5.53 million singlenucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs)as Well as 1.86 and 1.92 million InDels were identified by mapping reads to the reference genomes of 'Darmor-bzh'and 'Tapidor,'respectively. We generated a map of allelic drift paths that shows splits and mixtures of the main populations, and revealed an asymmetric evolution of the two subgenomes of B.napus by calculating the genetic diversity and linkage disequilibrium parameters.Selective-sweep analysis revealed genetic changes in genes orthologous to those regulating various aspects of plant development and response to stresses.A genome-wide association study identified SNPs in the promoter regions of FLOWERING LOCUS T and FLOWERING LOCUS C orthologs that corresponded to the different rapeseed ecotype groups. Our study provides important insights into the genomic footprints of rapeseed evolution and flowering-time divergence among three ecotype groups, and will facilitate screening of molecular markers for accelerating rapeseed breeding.Dezhi Wu Zhe Liang Tao Yan Ying Xu Lijie Xuan Juan Tang Gang Zhou Ulrike Lohwasser Shuijin Hua Haoyi Wang Xiaoyang Chen Qian Wang Le Zhu Antony Maodzeka Nazim Hussain Zhilan Li Xuming Li Imran Haider Shamsi Ghulam Jilani Linde Wu Hongkun Zheng Guoping Zhang Boulos Chalhoub Lisha Shen Hao Yu Lixi Jiang 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,1:10
Graphene nanosheets decorated with Pd,Pt,Au,and Ag nanoparticles:Synthesis, characterization, and catalysis applications显示文摘We report that noble metal nanopartcles (Pd,Pt,Au,and Ag) decorated-graphene nanosheets can be synthesized with the template of graphene oxide by a one-pot solution-based method. The resulting hybrid materials are characterized by transmission electronic microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, scanning electronic microscopy, atomic force microscopy,X-ray diffraction, and Raman spectroscopy, which demonstrate that the metal nanoparticles have been uniformly deposited on the surfaces of graphene nanosheets. Our results in turn verify that the carboxylic groups of graphene oxide are statistically distributed on its whole sheet surface rather than just at its edges. The graphene-metal nanohybrids can be used as catalysts in the reduction of potassium hexacyanoferrate(III) with NaBH4 in aqueous solution. Our results suggest that graphene is a superior substrate to support metals for applications in the heterogeneous catalysis.HE HongKun GAO Chao 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,2:9
Population Genomic Analysis and De Novo Assembly Reveal the Origin of Weedy Rice as an Evolutionary Game显示文摘Crop weediness, especially that of weedy rice(Oryza sativa f.spontanea),remains mysterious.Weedy rice possesses robust ecological adaptability;however, how this strain originated and gradually formed proprietary genetic features remains unclear? Here,we demonstrate that weedy rice at Asian high latitudes(WRAH)is phylogenetically well defined and possesses unselected genomic characteristics in many divergence regions between weedy and cultivated rice.We also identified novel quantitative trait loci underlying weedy-specific traits, and revealed that a genome block on the end of chromosome 1 is associated with rice weediness. To identify the genomic modifications underlying weedy rice evolution,we generated the first de novo assembly of a high-quality weedy rice genome(WR04-6),and conducted a comparative genomics study between WR04-6 with other rice reference genomes.Multiple lines of evidence, including the results of demographic scenario comparisons, suggest that differentiation between weedy rice and cultivated rice was initiated by genetic improvement of cultivated rice and that the essence of weediness arose through semi-domestication.A plant height model further implied that the origin of WRAH can be modeled as an evolutionary game and indicated that strategy-based selection driven by fitness shaped its genomic diversity.Jian Sun Dianrong Ma Liang Tang Minghui Zhao Guangchen Zhangh Wenjia Wang Jiayu Song Xiang Li Zimeng Liu Wenxing Zhang Quan Xu Yuncheng Zhou Jianzhong Wu Toshio Yamamoto Fei Dai Yan Lei Song Li Gang Zhou Hongkun Zheng Zhengjin Xu Wenfu Chen 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,5:9
Effect of N fertilization rate on soil alkalihydrolyzable N, subtending leaf N concentration, fiber yield, and quality of cotton显示文摘Soil alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen, which is sensitive to N fertilization rate, is one of the indicators of soil nitrogen supplying capacity. Two field experiments were conducted in Dongtai(120°19″ E, 32°52″ N), Jiangsu, China in 2009 and Dafeng(120°28″ E, 33°12″ N), Jiangsu province, China in 2010. Six nitrogen rates(0, 150, 300, 375, 450, and 600 kg ha^(-1)) were used to study the effect of N fertilization rate on soil alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen content(SAHNC), subtending leaf nitrogen concentration(SLNC), yield, and fiber quality. In both Dongtai and Dafeng experiment station, the highest yield(1709 kg ha^(-1)), best quality(fiber length 30.6 mm, fiber strength 31.6 c N tex^(-1), micronaire 4.82), and highest N agronomic efficiency(2.03 kg kg^(-1)) were achieved at the nitrogen fertilization rate of 375 kg ha^(-1). The dynamics of SAHNC and SLNC could be simulated with a cubic and an exponential function, respectively. The changes in SAHNC were consistent with the changes in SLNC. Optimal average rate(0.276 mg day^(-1)) and duration(51.8 days) of SAHNC rapid decline were similar to the values obtained at the nitrogen rate of 375 kg ha^(-1)at which cotton showed highest fiber yield, quality, and N agronomic efficiency. Thus, the levels and strategies of nitrogen fertilization can affect SAHNC dynamics. The N fertilization rate that optimizes soil alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen content would optimize the subtending leaf nitrogen concentration and thereby increase the yield and quality of the cotton fiber.Binglin Chen Hongkun Yang Weichao Song Chunyu Liu Jiao Xu Wenqing Zhao Zhiguo Zhou 2016The Crop Journal2016,4,4:8
Differentiation potential of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in duck显示文摘The bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) are multipotent stem cells which can differentiate into mesenchymal cells in vitro. In this study,MSCs in duck were isolated from bone marrow by density gradient centrifuge separation, purified and expanded in the me-dium.The primary MSCs were expanded for 11 passages. The different-passage MSCs were induced to differentiate into osteoblasts and neuron-like cells.Karyotype analysis indicated that MSCs kept diploid condition and the hereditary feature was stable. The different-passage MSCs expressed CD44,ICAM-1 and SSEA-4,but not CD34,CD45 and SSEA-1 when detected by immunofluorescence staining. There was no significant difference among the positive rates of passages 2,6 and 8(P > 0.05),but a significant difference existed among those of passages 2,6,8 and 11(P < 0.05).After the osteogenic inducement was added, the induced different-passage MSCs expressed high-level alkaline phosphatase(ALP),and are positive for tetracycline staining,Alizarin Red staining and Von Kossa staining. After the neural inducement was added, about 70% cells exhibited typical neuron-like phenotype, the induced different-passage MSCs expressed Nestin,neuron-specific enolase(NSE) and glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) when detected by immunofluorescence staining. There was no significant difference among the positive rates of passages 3,4 and 6(P>0.05),but a significant difference existed among those of passages 3,4,6 and 8(P<0.05).These results suggest that MSCs in duck were capable of differentiating into osteoblasts and neuron-like cells in vitro.Linfeng Li Xiujuan Bai Xuelian Gong Hongkun Liu Lina Chen Weijun Guan Yuehui Ma 2009Journal of Genetics and Genomics2009,36,3:8

Comparison of microwave assisted extraction with hot reflux extraction in acquirement and degradation of anthocyanin from powdered blueberry显示文摘Acquirement and degradation kinetics of anthocyanin from powdered blueberry were studied to analyze the degradation reason and improve the yield of anthocyanin under microwave assisted extraction(MAE)conditions.Hot reflux extraction(HRE)method was employed as a reference with MAE to discriminate the influences of the microwave irradiation under the same extraction temperature at 30℃-70℃.Ethanol was selected as extraction solvent.Microwave volumetric heating improves the diffusion and solubility of anthocyanin within powdered blueberry particles in the pre-heating period. The kinetic coefficients,in terms of delivery kinetic and diffusion kinetic, are lower in MAE than that in HRE.Four anthocyanins including delphinidin, cyanidin, malvidin and pelaronidin were detected in the anthocyanin extracts from blueberry.Delphinidin, cyaniding, and pelargonidin contents significantly decrease, but malvidin was unchanged in MAE.Anthocyanin yield increases with elevating extraction temperatures, but anthocyanin degradation occurred at 41.2℃.The acquirement amount of anthocyanin is lower than its degradation amount when microwave extraction temperature is higher than 53.6℃.The self-aggregation of anthocyanin molecules and degradation results in the reduction of anthocyanin yield extracted from blueberry powder. In MAE,microwave volumetric heating results in the rapidly elevated temperature in pre-heating stage and generation of internal pressure to improve the acquirement of anthocyanin and the non-thermal effect from microwave field may weak the effect of temperature to decline the degradation of anthocyanin to monomer. The non-thermal microwave irradiation has pronounced effects compared to the effects of temperature on the structure changes of anthocyanin molecules at extraction temperature below 50℃.In HRE,convection mode of heat transfer in extraction system form the non-uniform distribution of temperature in the extraction vials to decrease the acquirement yield of anthocyanin from the blueberry powder. The research results provide valuable data to optimize extraction temperature for high extraction yield and bioactivity of anthocyanin in microwave extraction process.Sun Yu Xue Hongkun Liu Chenghai Liu Chai Su Xiaolin Zheng Xianzhe 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,6:7
A Genomic Variation Map Provides Insights into the Genetic Basis of Spring Chinese Cabbage (Brassica rapa ssp.pekinensis)Selection显示文摘Chinese cabbage is the most consumed leafy crop in East Asian countries. However, premature bolting induced by continuous low temperatures severely decreases the yield and quality of the Chinese cabbage, and therefore restricts its planting season and geographic distribution. In the past 40years,spring Chinese cabbage with strong winterness has been selected to meet the market demand. Here,we report a genome variation map of Chinese cabbage generated from the resequencing data of 194 geographically diverse accessions of three ecotypes.In-depth analyses of the selection sweeps and genome-wide patterns revealed that spring Chinese cabbage was selected from a specific population of autumn Chinese cabbage around the area of Shandong peninsula in northern China. We identified 23 genomic loci that underwent intensive selection, and further demonstrated by gene expression and haplotype analyses that the incorporation of elite alleles of VERNALISATION INSENTIVE 3.1(BrVIN3.1)and FLOWER LOCUS C 1(BrFLC1)is a determinant genetic source of variation during selection. Moreover,we showed that the quantitative response of BrVIN3.1 to cold due to the sequence variations in the cis elements of the BrVlN3.1 promoter significantly contributes to bolting-time variation in Chinese cabbage.Collectively, our study provides valuable insights into the genetic basis of spring Chinese cabbage selection and will facilitate the breeding of bolting-resistant Varieties by molecular-marker-assisted selection, transgenic or gene editingapproaches.Tongbing Su Weihong Wang Peirong Li Bin Zhang Pan Li Xiaoyun Xin Honghe Sun Yangjun Yu Deshuang Zhang Xiuyun Zhao Changlong Wen Gang Zhou Yuntong Wang Hongkun Zheng Shuancang Yu Fenglan Zhang 2018Molecular Plant2018,11,11:6

A prediction method of natural gas hydrate formation in deepwater gas well and its application显示文摘To prevent the deposition of natural gas hydrate in deepwater gas well, the hydrate formation area in wellbore must be predicted.Herein,by comparing four prediction methods of temperature in pipe with field data and comparing five prediction methods of hydrate formation with experiment data,a method based on OLGA&PVTsim for predicting the hydrate formation area in wellbore was proposed.Meanwhile,The hydrate formation under the conditions of steady production, throttling and shut-in was predicted by using this method based on a well data in the South China Sea.The results indicate that the hydrate formation area decreases with the increase of gas production, inhibitor concentrations and the thickness of insulation materials and increases with the increase of thermal conductivity of insulation materials and shutdown time.Throttling effect causes a plunge in temperature and pressure in wellbore, thus leading to an increase of hydrate formation area.Yanli Guo Baojiang Sun Keke Zhao Hongkun Zhang 2016Petroleum2016,2,3:5
Dual-shot dynamics and ultimate frequency of all-optical magnetic recording on GdFeCo显示文摘Although photonics presents the fastest and most energy-efficient method of data transfer, magnetism still offers the cheapest and most natural way to store data. The ultrafast and energy-efficient optical control of magnetism is presently a missing technological link that prevents us from reaching the next evolution in information processing. The discovery of all-optical magnetization reversal in GdFeCo with the help of 100fs laser pulses has further aroused intense interest in this compelling problem.Although the applicability of this approach to high-speed data processing depends vitally on the maximum repetition rate of the switching, the latter remains virtually unknown. Here we experimentally unveil the ultimate frequency of repetitive all-optical magnetization reversal through time-resolved studies of the dual-shot magnetization dynamics in Gd27 Fe63.87 C09.T3.Varying the intensities of the shots and the shotto-shot separation,we reveal the conditions for ultrafast writing and the fastest possible restoration of magnetic bits.It is shown that although magnetic writing launched by the first shot is completed after 100 ps,a reliable rewriting of the bit by the second shot requires separating the shots by at least 300 ps.Using two shots partially overlapping in space and minimally separated by 300 ps,we demonstrate an approach for GHz magnetic writing that can be scaled down to sizes below the diffraction limit.Sicong Wang Chen Wei\Yuanhua Feng Hongkun Cao Wenzhe Li Yaoyu Cao Bai-Ou Guan Arata Tsukamoto Andrei Kirilyuk Alexey VKimel Xiangping Li 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,1:3
Effects of mepiquat chloride on yield and main properties of cottonseed under different plant densities显示文摘Background:Cottonseed oil and protein content as well as germination traits are major indicators of seed quality. However, the responses of these indicators to plant density and mepiquat chloride(MC)are still uncertain. To investigate plant density and MC effects on cotto nseed yield and main quality parameters,we con ducted a twoyear field experiment including four plant densities(1.35,2.55,3.75 and 4.95 plants·m^-2)and two closes of MC(0 and 135g·hm^-2)in Dafeng,Jiangsu Province,in 2013 and 2014.Results:The application of MC reduced plant height, fruit branch length and fruiting branch number under different plant densities, resulting in a lower and more compact plant canopy.Cottonseed yield showed a nonlinear increase as plant density increasing and achieved the highest value at 3.75 plants·m^-2,regardless of MC application. No significant interactio ns were found between plant density and MC for cotton seed yield and quality parameters. The 100-seed weight, cottonseed oil content and vigor index significantly decreased as plant density increased, while these parameters significantly increased with MC applying under different plant densities.Seed vigor index was positively correlated with 100-seed weight and seed oil con tent across different plant densities and MC treatments. Conclusions:Thus, application of MC could realize a win-win situation between cottonseed yield and main quality parameters under various densities;and plant density of 3.75 plants·m^-2 combined with 135 g·hm^-2 of MC applying is optimal for high cottonseed yield and quality in this cotton production area.ZHAO Wenqing YAN Qiang YANG Hongkun YANG Xiaoni WANG Leran CHEN Binglin MENG Yali ZHOU Zhiguo 2019Journal of Cotton Research2019,2,2:3
